I took a half day off work to get my screen repaired. Dropped off, returned two hours later only to be informed ‘Apple’s system is down’. I purposely went to The Mac Guys to get better service compared to Big box retailers. My time is valuable to me. If yours is equally, I do not recommend. I was extremely disappointed.
Incredibly knowledgeable and helpful when it came to purchasing a new MacBook Pro. I told them that I wanted the newest computer model available, and so they suggested that I didn’t buy that day, and wait until the new models were released in a couple of months. Honest businesspeople who truly care about the customer!!

Absolutely fantastic service! I own La Crosse Escape Room and was in a pinch. One of our groups had attempted to unlock the iPhone in the room too many times and disabled the phone. I stopped in (without an appointment) and they were able to take care of the issue right away and I was on my way in less than 20 min. I’ve used them in the past and will continue to in the future. Last year I had some online security concerns and randomly called them with questions. The gentleman was beyond patient, informative, and very helpful. Last week I spent numerous times being put on hold with Best Buy with a battery concern for my laptop, I never talked to a human. Called Mac Guys and they got me in right away. Very happy with their customer service.
Bought an iPad for my daughter. Super knowledgeable and very helpful. Seth had a great recommendation for a case and screen protector. I would tell anybody to go to The Mac Guys for any Apple 🍎 product needs.
I am a 75 year old female. I have no knowledge of computers or I-pads. When I went to the store the other day I told Luke and Nathan that my I pad repeatedly threw me out of the game I was playing or what ever I did. They said I wasn’t connected to my wi fi and the I pad wasn’t updating. They updated everything and sent me on my way. They were very helpful and answered all my questions. When ever I looked for an apple store the info didn’t come up. Luckily I had a friend who gave me the info. Thanks
I was treated by Seth, a sales associate at the Mac Guys. I am a college girl, poor as they come, but willing to pay for my macbook to be fixed. I have never been treated with more rude customer service. All these 4 or 5 star ratings are a scam. I went in there, barely 20, scared, trying to fix my macbook so I can finish college. The sales associate does not even look at me while explaining the ABSOLUTELY OBSCENE price this is going to cost me. When I left, I wasnt offered any other option to buy another computer. I was treating with disrespect the whole time.
I recently got locked out of my Macs admin account. (Which means you no longer can download apps - or get software updates without logging into your admin user.) Stressful. I called to make an appointment to come drop off my Mac and fix the issue. The gentleman on the phone mentioned if I drop off my laptop sooner, there is a chance they could have time before my scheduled appointment to fix my laptop. I went in 2 days early to drop off my Mac - I was greated by a different gentleman who asked, again, what my issue was. I explained I am here to drop off my Mac to be unlocked out of my admin account. This gentleman then made a comment that we can fix that issue right here! 10 minutes later I left with a unlocked admin account and a canceled appointment for Monday! Very talented crew! Recommend for all your apple needs!

Terrible experiences (at many businesses actually, apparently women cannot have brains and science degrees here) at Best Buy--bought 3 of their laptops, most expensive, 3 different brands. All defective right out of the box.Someone told me about this place. OK then! I thought, Lets do this!Emailed these guys thinking I would have a better experience. No response.Did not get a response.As an immune compromised person, I go to the Mac Guys store and without speaking, I see people are not wearing masks here either.Left.That redhead with glasses who walked out the door?Bye.In the science world, we call this a no go, no can do operation.I will drive 3 ours back home to buy a Mac.Does that not sounds terrible? Crazy in fact? Drive three hours away to get an operating computer and spend 3k somewhere else.Well, when in Rome, er. I haven’t bought anything in the store yet but one phone call helped me decide it would be a good idea to wait a bit. That is decent. I also appreciate some of the clarification posted by management after they get a bad review. More businesses should respond when a customer obviously was unfairly venting. People read these and the whole story is important.

They are a great place to go and get you Apple device repaired! Nothing but nice and understanding people there. I went there to fix my phone because I could use half of my screen. They had to have me turn off find my I phone but to do that I needed to type in my password, which I could not do. So instead of being complicated and being difficult, they had some great resources and ways to help me get around that!
Despite a mask mandate only one staff person wearing a mask. Poor judgment. Left and headed to Best Buy.
A really want to like this store but the service is terrible. I try to shop local but bad service like this makes it difficult. They wanted to charge me a 15% restocking fee on a $550 product I just purchased. No thanks.
Heidi and the Mac Guys store are amazing. During this time of isolation and working from home I had a problem with my laptop and was unable to access anything. In less then 24 hours they had it up and running again and I was back to work. I can not thank you all enough for staying open for business during this time. Because of your excellent service Im able to keep my business going from home. You Rock!!!
I went in to deal with a MacBook Pro deteriorating keyboard. The data was downloaded in store, computer sent in and repaired. But they lost -lost all my data, 47 years worth of curriculum, and historical genealogical information.. Owner did not even seem to care that this was a personal tragedy. When I asked him if he was even going to say he was sorry, he turned his back and walked away. This store only seems willing to sell to you
I went in after my MacBook Air died, and I found the customer service to be exceptional. He helped recover my lost data and guided me to options best suited for my small business. Exceptional service and very knowledgeable!
Dropped off my Macbook Pro that Im giving to my sister to have it repaired. The staff was very friendly, the price was fair, and the service was speedy. If youve got Apple/Mac products, this is the place to go.
I had a great experience at the Mac Guys in La Crosse. My phone broke graduation weekend. Seth was very friendly and knowledgeable about the process of fixing it and how long it would take. He very patiently helped me log out of everything to ensure all my information/photos were backed up. Also, they offered loaner phones at decent prices while my phone was being fixed!

My 2014 iMac died right before the college semester began, and I need it for work. Jeremiah worked hard to find an affordable solution. After backing up my data on an external hard drive, he installed a solid-state drive because my old one was corrupted. It cost $263, and there is a 3-year warranty. My iMac is running beautifully. A while back we came to the store to just find out the price of fixing the water damaged keyboard was on our MacBook Air. They told us around 800$ so we didn’t get it because it was too much. We recently went to a shop closer to us and they told us 300$ to fix it. Always get a second or even a third opinion before getting your laptop fixed from here.
I went in to ask a software question. The sales rep took about 20 minutes searching the web, the app store and calling various people to try an answer my question. Ultimately, I couldnt find what I wanted (and still havent been able to), but what struck me was how much time the rep took to answer my questions and assist me even though it was pretty clear there was no sale involved for the store. They are very knowledgeable and thorough. I didnt buy my MacAir from them, but I will be using them for future Apple product purchases.
The Mac Guys is the only place Ill buy a Mac and have it serviced. Sure, I can order my computer online. But with the Mac Guys, Im buying a product they know will meet the demanding needs of my business.And if there is a new product coming out that they believe is relevant to my business they pass that information on to me. I cant get that kind of attention from a web store.
They are awesome! My MacBook Pro keyboard stopped working because of a hardware issue for the second time in 2 years and I didnt get much help from Apple support. Jeremiah looked at it and worked on it several times for me in a very timely fashion to get it working again! Super thankful!!
The service was amazing!! A job that was supposed to take 2-4 days but I got my MacBook back in 24 hours!!! The workers were so nice and helpful!!! I’m for sure coming back

I dont know if its because its an Apple store. But this place is extremely expensive, and the people arent really customer friendly in trying to explain the reason behind their absurd pricing on everything in the store as well as services. I went in here for a MacBook repair and walked out with nothing fixed for about three hundred dollars, Ill explain why. If Im wrong about any pricing I apologize but this is pretty close to reality. First its fifty dollars just to look at the laptop, that includes nothing but a diagnosis, okay...Then, and maybe this is my own experience, but I was seemingly talked into buying insurance to look at the laptop because they might break it by turning it on, and they will backup all the data. Well after they figure out what is wrong with the laptop, and this isnt their fault but the repair was six hundred dollars which is more than the laptop was worth. Then you have to pay for a portable hard drive which was a hundred and fifty dollars to backup your data. Little did we know, we were never told, that all of that data is saved on the Apple cloud, thanks guys.
The after sales service is non existent.They take your money up-front and then drop you when the sale is completed.Do not use these for purchases of any nature. You are better off buying from a street vendor than these people.They do not respond to aftersales emails, so do not waste your time sending one.
I recently purchased a new Air through The Mac Guys. They made it an incredibly fast transaction, including a trade-in for my Pro, and transferring all my settings, files, etc onto the new Air. Their knowledge base is great and they certainly dont try to pressure you into a product, but rather give you all the pertinent info you should know to make an educated decision. These guys have my future business.
The Mac Guys are GREAT! Great place to visit for ideas and help! Even a better place to update and upgrade your home computing environment! Ive bought equipment and received excellent technical assistance with everything from transferring files from an old computer to a new, to setting up a wifi and solving issues when they developed, to finding a way to continue to use a disc-based hard drive when I upgraded to a solid state drive! Lucky to have them in La Crosse!
Great, unparalleled support. We bought a few Macs for our company directly from Apple last year, but that was an error on our part. Apple removed all the promised support 4 weeks after we purchased the machines. Back with, and happy to work with and purchase from the Mac Guys again.

Purchased an IMac from The Mac Guys in 2011 and had an excellent experience. Really took time with me to help weigh options. Since the purchase, I have needed a minor repair and some phone tech support. Again, The Mac Guys did not disappoint! Quick turnaround on my repair and they helped my non-tech self back up all my data. Heidi was an awesome help both in store and over the phone. So nice to have an Apple resource in the Tri-States. Will return!

If I could rate this business a zero, I would. I am EXTREMELY disappointed with the quality of service I received. This store claims to be knowledgeable in Apple products but they are clearly not. I brought in my laptop because the screen wasnt displaying anything. It was powering up but no display. When I brought it in, I was told that it was the logic board and it would cost about $400 to fix. They offered me $25 to trade in my Macbook, I declined. I brought it somewhere else and was informed it was the hard drive, which was a $50 fix. If this business knew anything about computers, they would have known the hard drive wasnt good, and it wasnt the logic board. Do yourself a favor and buy your products from a store that actually knows a thing or two about Apple products or that doesnt prey on customers who have no other options in the La Crosse area. I will be making every effort to spread the word in this area that your business is not an establishment that is trust worthy.

I had my Macbook Pro in to rid it of adware. They were extremely professional and friendly. I felt the cost was more than fare. Would I go back again? In a minute.
Went in with a dead Mac Book Pro, they inspected it and reset the power supply and it is working like new. Extremely nice staff, great store.

Weve had our Macs repaired with the Mac Guys twice, good service and completed on time. Nothing to complain about.
Do not use The Mac guys. Poor customer service and communications on repair status. The contract between the Mac Guys and the customer was misleading. The data was completley washed off a computer without appropriate permission. Offered no solution or apology, only covered their own butt by bringing up the misleading agreement.

If i could give it negative 5 i would. i would never recomend their repair service to anyone. i have had my ipad sent back 3 times now, and have had to wait almost 2 months. i am absolutely pissed about it and get no refund or anything on the originakl repair cost which was damn near $300.... absolutely pissed!!!!!!!!!!111

My wife and I visited The Mac Guys on Friday the 16th or 23rd of January 2015. I had a question regarding HDMI hookups on a computer -- he answered the question okay -- but when I inquired about blue tooth speakers -- he exuded no interested whatsoever in making a sale --- nor talking about them. It seemed he just wanted to be rid of me. Outside -- my wife agreed that he had no interest in waiting on me. So I went back in and confronted him on his behavior. He made a seemingly snarky comment and then an excuse that hes in service dept. and they were short-handed that day.I have worked in advertising and retail. His behavior just destroys the message the Mac Guys is spending a lot to convey in their advertising. This rep further ruined the image The Mac Guys is trying to maintain. My last visit was mediocre --- my first back in 2013 was excellent. Doubt if well be back. Chuck Nibbe

The Mac Guys is not affiliated with Apple, so apple does not know this store exists...if you buy apple and something goes wrong, you CANNOT have warranty work done here.
