They have plenty of parking space its a great Union place to shop they give you those Monopoly tickets right now so its the best time to go and reap your rewards. They have huge selections for vegetables to chicken to hot foods by the deli and a great alcohol selection with a little bit of everything in the mix. Their staff are very friendly and they greet you when you come in they have a Starbucks inside so if you dont want to go to the one at the other side of the parking lot and do the drive through.

Andrew the manager and his staff are the greatest people very considerate. Lots of selections in addition to having a Sushi Chef preparing great rolls.

I was not too clear where to place my cart after I was done using it and I didnt know where to pick up carts because I understand you guys need to clean them. I also wish there was a better selection in the frozen foods for people who eat only seafood and vegetarian. all I see are chicken and beef in the entrees except an occasional vegetarian selection unless Im looking at the Amys and thats kind of expensive. also please restock the shrimp Chinese individual bucket I forget the brand that seems to get sold out pretty quickly. now for the compliments it doesnt get too crowded the staff are pretty friendly. I found most of what I wanted and I like the hours.

Nice people. I am hearing impaired. When I scan an item at self check-out the machine sounds off the VONS CLUB savings. Each item...over and over and on and on. The problem with this redundant chatter is that it impedes my ability to hear the scanner. Difficult to know if items are property scanned or not.

I have to agree with a previous poster in that this is, indeed, a well run store. Theres a lot of good people there. A special star goes out to the sushi, and the wedding cookies from the bakery. Its my store, for sure.

It was busy but the lines moved quickly. I wanted a Starbucks coffee and the sign said out to lunch back at 4:30 but it was 4:45 and no one around. I waited until 5:00 still no one to help at Starbucks.

Do you want to go to a store where you need to give them your personal information like email now they want you to scan a Qr code be careful especially if you have a android phone I say enough is enough Im boycotting vons

I worked there and quit because I couldnt in good conscience sell Produce at the Mark-ups I saw!!! ;People will shop there neighborhood stores because of the convenience. I was so happy they were open. I had an ingredient I needed for a pastry I was making. And I got a coffee from the Starbucks. Put a little pep in my step. Lousy baked goods. This is the second time this has happened (I gave them a second chance). Their cream pies seem to be mostly just whipped cream filling. 13 bucks is a lot to pay for all that whipped cream. Tried calling the store to complain and they took a very well, we dont make the pies and theres nothing we can do attitude. Not cool Vons. This location has been going down hill badly in the last couple years, even though their prices have been going up. Come on Vons... Get it together and stop screwing the public.

Good over all but self checkout takes forever to go through. I scanned 1 item and it said the price and it took a while before I was able to scan the next. A bag option kept popping up causing me to take longer scanning what should have been a quick in and out trip.

Since my local Albertsons is now smaller with a small selection Ive started shopping here. ITS GREAT! Wonderful selection, friendly and courteous staff. Theres rarely a wait to checkout. Shopping here at Vons has made my weekly errands much easier.

This Vons is convenient for its location close to the 8 and the 94 freeway entrances. Lines are always short and the self- check outs are a plus. Has some construction going on in the Wells Fargo area and the smell is a definite turn off when getting produce. Other than that an overall good grocery store.

One of the strangest Vons Adams Ave ever been to there’s always some homeless drunk person out in the front babbling… They do have a very very efficient and fast Starbucks however… And actually at one time I was there some employee was able to get rid of this drunk guy who actually made his way into the store started harassing the Starbucks employees and she dumped a cup of cold ice on him which woke him up and got him out that was awesome. But usually any other Starbucks just you know makes every single coffee as they come in and doesn’t really look at the order… This specific Starbucks goes above and a bottle beyond to make sure that your order is completely correct and if it’s not exactly what you were they will completely remake it no charge and they’re just very consistent & such hard workers

Came in, to get some cookies, I was craving chocolate chip cookies, upon entering I saw the security at the opposite side of the store basically, speaking to someone. The cookies I wanted are right in the alcohol section, idk why ? As I’m walking I feel somebody watching me, as I’m coming back the security was at watching me, and followed me hahaha stopped what he was doing to follow me. When I asked him about it “he said, oh I was doing my rounds” oh you wanna do yo job when I walk in?

No carts or baskets at front . Minimum lines open during a busy time. Went to self check out and couldnt find bags so used a basket by checkout. A store employee who saw me looking for bags and said nothing said I couldnt take the basket as soon as I touched it . I know that but why wouldnt you tell me the bags were there? No comment.

The employees are always so sweet and willing to walk me out to my car and help load up when they see me shopping alone with my baby without me even asking (this has happened a few times when my hands were super full and I’m so thankful for that). Sure, the prices are a little higher than other grocers but it’s more convenient for me & my family to drive just a few minutes from home and also good to support community grocery stores.

Many employees, including managers, not properly wearing masks. Mostly what I saw was masks not cover noses. If they arent following this basic proper use of masks, what else arent they doing right? Some employees seem to be working hard to keep everyone safe, but I saw enough in one visit to avoid this grocery for a while.

Great store for shopping in various departments. Be cautious when using the self checkout. Hope with your fingers crossed that the machine will not trigger “assistance” from an employee. If so, you might find your whole transaction gettin micromanaged by an employee. Whilst not social distancing and the employee can berate you many times on how many bags you are purchasing. All of these acts increase covid exposure and serve as a deterrent for future business. I was shocked at how this all unfolded....

Great story very clean

This is my Vons and has been for 25 years. Almost every employee knows me and treats me like family. This Vons was hit hard during the La Mesa riot, but bounced back like a champion. When they reopened within days I was able to purchase all of my regular groceries and always service with a smile.

Worst vons in San Diego. I live 1 block away, their shelves are always empty. Even after 9 months had passed since covid started and papertowel and toilet paper disappeared off the shelves, they still did not have paper towels and toilet paper. Every store I went to in la mesa had it except them. Im vegan and gluten free, they never have items I want either. The sprouts in la mesa, vine ripe market, Ralphs on parkway and the new market called Fraziers farm has way better selection and are much better. Ive lived in la mesa for 2 years and only go to them if I need 1 item because they have 2 cashiers working every time I go and always a huge line. Read the reviews below, they have many unhappy customers as well as having been sued.

Frustrating experience with Vons.com. Tried to order delivery, but they called to say the card declined. Probably a fraud alert they said. Come down to the store they said. Didnt tell us which branch, so we went to the one closest to our house. Not this one they said. So we went to the La Mesa branch per instructions. Once there, we met up with Zen who didnt know if we were in the right place either. He walked around the store looking for our order and found nothing and had no solutions for us. Bummer.

The store is clean and the variety is the best, we get our birthday cakes for our employees there and I can come down and find gifts and cards also. This is my one stop shop for everything. Most of all I want to say Thank you to all the employees who work hard to keep the shelves stocked and risk their health to be here for me during this Covid outbreak. Mehh. Its alright here i guess. The prices are way too high. The deli girl 1000% cross contaminated with multiple foods, never changing her gloves, touching everything including her face and face mask and money and wiped them on a towel and then touched different food. Never changed her gloves. Thats the LAST time Ill be getting deli food from vons. At least at this location. The staff is nice though.. So thats a plus i suppose.

A cute little produce and grocery store in the middle of outer sunset. I love it. They have a great variety of fresh produce, including organic and sustainable/locally grown options. I dont live out here in outer sunset, but this place makes me wish I did! Vons is perfect if you are nearby and need to grab something super quick
