Bought a four wheeler and sent my wifes dad to go get it with my son and they didnt let them take the bike because they said that if they expect someone under 16 to ride it they cant sell it to us when we already bought the bike. Then we went to honda of laffeyette and told then that someone under 16 will be riding it and they said they expected that because everyone that buys a four wheeler is going to let there kids ride it and they sold it to us. They diserve 1 star but Ill give them a 2. There customer service is bad.

Sales staff was very helpful and seemed knowledgeable. Bought a lawn mower there. The service guy was also helpful and made sure I knew my new equipment. My problem is the fees. $200.00 to do paperwork on a cash sale?? Give me a break. Thought the finance guy was a little rude and indicated I had no clue as how a business is run when I tried to get the fees abated. The owner needs to change his policies and quit trying to nickel and dime everything.

Call before you go. They only have 2 side by sides one is a CF MOTO farm/France style and one CFMOTO ATV & a cpl bikes. They are happy to take a deposit on items they may not get like everyone else.

I purchased a set of quality tires for my bike. I called to get an appointment to have them installed. I was told that for liability purposes they would not do it. Seriously!!! All the bad reviews are more likely than not true. I would not buy bubble gum from these clowns.

BROUGHT IN MULE PURCHASED THERE FOR SERVICE. ONLY PROBLEM FOUND WAS FOULED SPARK PLUG. TOTAL COST FOR SERVICE WAS $238.60 TO INCLUDE $180 FOR 2 HRS LABOR, $6.30 HAZARDOUS DISPOSAL FEE, $18 SHIPPING AND HANDLING AND $3.12 FOR SPARK PLUG.I FOUND THIS TO BE A LITTLE MUCH!!!!

I will be extremely surprised if that business survives with such ignorant service personnel. Personally, I never take time to review business’ but I am making an exception in this case. Ordered parts on Thurs for our 650 Rincon and they came in next day. Went on Fri to pick up parts and decided to return on Sat to purchase a new 2018 Recon 250 for our daughter. Super easy to complete credit app over the phone since we live an hour away, and picked up our new 4wheeler 2 hours later. Bryan Bell was helpful, knowledgeable, and assisted us in all of it. Will definitely be visiting Bryan again in the near future for 2 more Honda ATVs!

Buyer Beware!If you’re an out-of-state buyer, stay away from this dealership. The salesman described the Goldwing I bought as being in much better condition than it was. He said it was ready to ride and in excellent condition. I had it shipped and the first time I tried to ride it, I didn’t make it out of my garage. I had to replace the battery. The cruise control button doesn’t work and will cost $500 or more to repair. The salesman refused to address my concerns by ignoring my last three emails and not returning my phone call. The general manager refused to do anything either. I also couldn’t ride the bike for the first week I had it because they wouldn’t send me the title. Without the title I couldn’t get a tag in my state. I know I bought a used bike, but I’m very disappointed with the way this dealership handled this purchase. I would not recommend Southside Honda in Lafayette, LA.

I was looking for a part that had seemed to be discontinued with Honda themselves, most places I tried would just tell me unavailable or i dont know. The lil latin guy behind the counter, sorry no offense, went through all his books til he was able to find one that matched. Out of 5 motorcycle stores, this one went beyond to help me out---def will be going back again...

Took my bike in to get fixed recently . I asked that I got a quote before any repairs were made, I called several times, the mechanic didnt seem to be there at all until one day I call and hes fixed the bike, thatll be $950+ dollars please . OK that was annoying but they kept the bike there free of charge till I got the money together . When I go to collect the bike the mechanic was extremely rude to me and my wife, and I get that he considers himself a master of his craft and I was obviously an idiot that has no idea what Im doing, to him . BUT I would even accept his arrogance if my bike were actually fixed ! It got me home (30 min ride) barely!, then the problems I did have with the bike returned instantly on top of that I had to change out fuel lines as the master mechanic had put them back on with splits in them . So I am left almost a grand lighter in my pocket and Ive had to repair what damage they have done .Yet another option to cross of my list of respectable shops . Shame

I needed tires on my bike. I called Southside Honda and told them what I needed. They told me that they had the tires in stock. I asked when I could bring it in and they told me right now if Im ready. I took them my bike and they changed my tires and checked my brakes and had it done the next day. I had no problems with the service and will return again.

This place has caused me to never want a Honda side by side again. Before you buy look at their display bikes and the amount of rust on them on the show room floor. I noticed this and figured it would be ok and it would be covered under warrantee if it was an issue . The rust got worse and worse and now theres a crack and they wont cover my 3 year old bike . O well Ill sell and get a Polaris Ive never heard people having rusting problems with Polaris like Ive had with this Honda Chinese frame crap .

If there were a star option for less than one, thats what Id have selected. We bought a boat on May 11 2016 from this dealer. When we got the boat in the water the first time, the bilge pump was broken and the trolling motor housing was busted. We immediately brought it back and made them aware of the situation. They promised to ship the correct parts back to my home state of Texas for us. Additionally, the prop on this boat was completely incorrect in size & pitch making it impossible for the boat to plane out on the water. After I returned home to Texas, a bilge pump and trolling motor housing that did NOT fit my boat we shipped to me. We kindly made them aware of this & one of the management team, Brett, took over the project of fixing my needs personally. It is quite possible Brett is the only person on staff with a brain & moral code of any kind. Brett kindly made arrangements for a correct prop to be ordered and mailed to me along with a bilge pump that his staff claimed to have ordered as soon as we made them aware that the first one sent to us was wrong. He even met with us in person & gave us an estimate of 1 or 2 week for this prop and bilge to be shipped to us. We went all of June wothout seeing them. Fast forward to today- July 9th 2016, we still have neither item. As coincidence would have it we are here on a business trip and stopped by the dealership to touch base with Brett. He told us the prop still wasnt finished at manufacturer but he would get us the bilge pump. Only to look in the parts inventory to find that it hadnt in fact ever been ordered. He told us he would call West Marine and get it for us today. Once again we were passed off to upper management when West Marine didnt have the bilge pump available. Upper management insisted that we bring the boat to them so they could verify these issues (even though they knew about them and owned up to them in May). Obviously this is an outlandish requests now, 2mo after the sale and a complete waste of gas on our part. We returned to the dealership AGAIN to discuss possibly just returning the boat and cutting our losses only to have the upper management try to start a PHYSICAL altercation right there in the store which escalated in chasing us out in to the parking lot, yelling profanities & threats. They told my fiance that he looked like someone who had contraband in his vehicle and all kinds of other crazy things. I just couldnt believe my eyes. As a business owner myself, I am completely stunned at the lack of professionalism displayed not just today but throughout this entire purchase. These people are surely crooks and I highly advise not purchasing from this location.

I had a very bad experience getting my motorcycle here repaired after a wreck. I was always very nice to the people there but almost everyone there was rude to me.Not only did it take much longer than their estimated time (they estimated 2 weeks repair time and took 39 days to repair it), but they lied the my insurance company about the situation (my agent let me listen in on the conversation).After they finally fixed it, the my bike had a rattling sound from the engine revs. When I brought it back, the mechanic wouldnt even look at me when he talked to me. He instantly knew what it was though, (he left off a rubber stopper under the tank) and they wanted to charge ME for the rubber stopper that THEY forgot.I will never do business with this place again.

Be very careful when you buy a used motorcycle from them over the internet. I bought a 2011 FJR1300 and was told it was in excellent condition. When I received the bike, both rear mufflers were dented and scrapped on the bottom; obviously they never looked underneath the bike. It took me a solid day to clean all the tar, bugs and dirt off it. I also had them put a rear tire on before shipping. First stop after I picked it up, there were no rear brakes! When I spoke to the manager he was very defensive and said he would get back to me about maybe a deal on used mufflers. Crickets Three weeks later, still nothing. Stay Away!

My 2012 Foreman 500 stopped running. I knew it was probably water in the fuel. It also needed a wheel bearing changed. So i figured I would just bring it to Southside Honda to have them fix that and while theyre at it, get it running. So I could have it ready for the next day. They had the bearing in stock. Well, they took their sweet a** time and called me few days later with an estimate of $2000 worth of parts and labor. Of course, I told the guy on the phone that Ill just go pick it up. So I went pick it up and paid the $80 for them looking at it. I get home and start to work on it myself to find out that not a single thing was taken apart and looked at! My fourwheeler was dirty, thats how I know. They were trying to charge me for a new battery, new fuel pump, injector, spark plug, all kinds of things it didnt need. So I took part my fuel pump, cleaned the fuel filter, put it back together and put fresh gas and guess what, it cranked up and has ran perfectly fine. Now all thats left is to change the wheel bearing. The point of this review, dont bring your atv to Southside, they will try to rip you off by charging you for parts you dont need and the labor costs for changing those parts. Worst dealership ever.

How can a place with this poor of customer service even stay in business? Im ashamed of their behavior and I dont even work there. Heres my story:I walked in there wearing full motorcycle gear. There was no cars in the parking lot and no customers in the store. I hear a voice shouting at me from across the dealership. Its a man seated at a desk asking if he can help me. He didnt get up and come meet me. He just sat at his desk and shouted. Strike #1. So I walk up and greet him and tell him bluntly that I want to sell my bike and buy a new one. He has yet to get up out of his chair. He hasnt even offered me a smile or a handshake. Strike #2. I tell him that Im looking to buy a specific model that hasnt quite come in stock yet. His exact words are good luck. Good luck? I can see that being the correct response if I told him I was hoping to find one on the side of the road for free. The way I see it, they are the dealers, I shouldnt only have to express my desire and they will get one for me. I have they money, they have the bikes. Simple formula right? Anyway, we go on to discuss why he doesnt have one yet I understand that they are brand new and he just doesnt have them. THATS FINE! Im willing to wait.... What happens next is what really shocked me. He just sits there staring at me.. Somewhat frustrated, I asked him if he would like to take my name and number and call me when he got some. At this point Im thinking this guy isnt at all interested in selling me anything because I had to ask him to take my information. Well when I asked him if he would take me number and what not, I added in if you are interested that is... I understand I didnt have to say that. But I sure didnt feel like he was interested. This is where he got downright rude. He says excuse me? I said, It doesnt seem like you are interested in selling me a bike He replies with a simple hand wave towards the door nope. This guy turned me away... He turned my money away. He lost a customer for sure. I was appalled at his behavior. I manage a store that deals in retail sales and service. If one of my employees EVER talked to a customer in the way he talked to me, they would be fired ON THE SPOT.
