Very tasty, had the blueberry and lavender in a shake and it was delicious. My daughter had the vanilla with fruity pebbles and she enjoyed that very much as well. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Great music going on as well. I highly recommend.

Me and friends went there for homecoming. Way better than the dance. Plus there was good ice cream. I recommend the cookies and cream flavor.

Great ice cream and very generous with samples. Fresh waffle cones. A variety of frozen snacks. Fun 80s theme, complete with creative flavor names, the awesome music of the 80s, vintage arcade game (free to play), videos playing, and cassette decor. Who remembers Max Headroom? Its just a fun place to eat ice cream. They have post-its and markers so you can leave drawings and messages on the back hallway wall. They have an eating area outside. Ive been yo their previous location downtown and thought it was great. This new location is even better. The gals there are so friendly and chatty. Just an over all enjoyable experience.

Pops and Rockets was awesome. The Ice Cream was so delicious and they have the best flavors. I had the waffle cone with two scoops of ice cream. I decided to get the Mardi Gras and Rum Spice Vanilla Bean. Best choice ever. I wasnt disappointed and I will be back soon

First of all, luv the name Boom Box, its funky and cool. I was amazed to learn Lake Charles have such a cool spot for some creative in-house made frozen pops and ice cream. They have cool creative names for their products, as well as unique ingredients.The store has a nice narrow space, along the wall showcased some old 80s records, vinyl, artwork, and the pac man arcade makes it more fun as well.I have to say, I have travelled to many places, and I have yet to have a popsicle that has a gummy worm in it.Try the gummy worm pops, also lots of cool ice cream flavour, including the lavender one, the king cake one and so many more. Remember to check out its merchandize, I really like the graphic tees that they designed.More importantly, I checked their website, they even provide services if you host a party or a corporate event, where they can drop off 100s of pops in a fridge for your party or they have a popup truck with a staff helping you serve your guests. Quite a cool service.Highly recommend you to checkout this spot when you visit Lake Charles.

I absolutely love their ice cream. Any time I’m downtown, I stop in for a cup. I just tried their Andes mint ice cream and it was delicious. The atmosphere is also great. There’s music from the 80s playing and every flavor is named after an 80s song. Just be prepared if they’re busy. It can get crowded in there. There’s not much space so I usually get mine to go. But since it’s so close to the boardwalk, I usually go eat there regardless.

Such a unique little ice cream shop! Many items to choose from on the menu & adorable decor to look at while there! I had the strawberry colada pop (delicious!), daughters had the cookies & cream & lemonade w/gummiworms pops (loved them! ), fiance had maple & bacon vanilla ice cream (very unique & yummy flavor!)! We will definitely be back! Everyone needs to try this place!

Was pretty yummy. Although I thought it was overpriced for something I could make at home. I loved the decor, the pacman game for sure. Just overpriced. Paid 18$ for 3 items.Fun place to go though if you love the 80s.

This place is sooo Good!! I felt like a kid again although I grew up in the late 80s early 90s, I enjoyed seeing all the paraphernalia from my childhood, like the Pez Candy, Astro Pops, the Pac Man Machine, etc...I was able to satisfy my ice cream craving. I got the Mary Berry Strawberry Cheesecake and I also got the Same Rosewater as You Popsicle. The Customer Service was top notch! Whenever I am in Lake Charles again, I will be stopping by:)

Excellent place! Really awesome ice-cream experience. The staff is wonderful and the owner very accommodating. They stayed open late just for my birthday. If you are in Lake Charles, or just passing through, then you have to stop by Pops and Rockets.

Interesting little place. Selection was like nothing else Ive ever come across. Everything homemade and menu is changed frequently, so no matter how often you go, you cant get tired of the same old thing! Im impressed and will definitely be back!

This is an amazing place to get ice cream and popsicles. This is not your usual ice cream and popsicles. They have a unique way of combining flavors that work so well together; combinations youd never think of. Dont be shy about asking to try samples, they are more than willing to give them out. The place is decorated in a cool 80s theme which is a nice touch.

It all started when I got thirsty for drink. Due to the gusting winds I was utterly unable to find motivation to get out of my bed. With the graces of God I stumbled upon pops and rockets, this godly place, and I decided to get out of bed. As I opened my door I was immediately frozen but oh well it was too late I was already out of bed. I got in my car and frantically drive around the same block trying to reach a parking spot so I could be granted access to the glorious pops. Upon entrence was a plethora of sticky notes on the wall. I gazed at my friend and I knew in this moment we were about to get the pop of my life. After pondering the menu for a multitude of minutes we choose our perfected popcicle flavors. I had order the 99 red Doubloons and my friend order the (i cant remember but it was good) as we took our first licks our taste buds raveished with the wind. The atmosphere was flabbergasting and I enjoyed every ounce of Aesthetic in that darn store! This is goodbye or now but not forever. Ill be back, 10/10 would recommend🧡

Great hand-made popcicles and really rad flavor combos! We went and bought one of everything on the menu one night. The Mexican Radio (chocolate and jalapeno) sounds strange but its good! 99 Red Doubloons (strawberry Pina Colada) is one of my favorites. I found the Karma Carmelon (watermelon and mint) and tad sweet but it had a great flavor. Pop It Like a Hurricane (cherry and mango) was one of my favorites. Definitely go and visit. The shop itself is very 80s-ish...wallpaper made to look like cassettes and old-school video games. When you walk in the door from outside, you have to walk down a (fairly short) hallway and its on the right.
