The guys at this facility were so kind, chipper, and respectful. I was shocked walking in to find such honest workers that had the biggest smiles on their faces. You never know what you’re going to get sometimes with auto service centers, but these guys on South Cedar took care of my car like it was their own. They all deserve recognition and a pat on the back. I’d recommend this shop to anyone!

I own a new car, and wanted a muffler delete done professionally. I imagine that like most muffler shops theres a 90-10% ratio. 90% being the people who kick your rim to break it loose or drop your wheel face down. Luckily I got the 10% and the guy who did my muffler did an amazing job. Not to mention the amazing customer service!

Awesome place, had to bring my van in for a brake fluid leak. Replaced a faulty part they had installed a couple months ago. Great customer service and updates on my car. Had a bad 02 sensor that they did in the same day, and even used my part I had bought to replace it. Price was a little higher than expected, but understandable.

First rate! The building is an excellent example of dont judge a book by its cover. The technician who did the work on my Sprinter exhaust replaced what was needed for a VERY reasonable cost in a timely manner. I crawled under to look to see the welds, very serviceable and the hangar they fabricated is exactly what is needed. An old school first rate establishment.

Taken several rides here lately for service. Out of 5 times, twice was told No problems, you should have tires checked Twice it was the damn tires. Take what you will from that. When I needed work done seemed to be fairly priced and timely service, when not swamped, once took two days just for checkup, but, what do you really expect for free? I do suggest considering them for service.

Great experience, very honest people

After having my engine code go off for a large evap leak, I called around to see when I could get my car in to be looked at. As someone who has moved across the country to attend law school, I had no idea who was trustworthy or had a good reputation in the area. After doing some research and calling around, I had narrowed my choices down to Muffler Man and two other shops. Muffler Man priced the smoke test ~$20 lower than the others, which was already a great sign. I took my car in to be looked at the next day. Upon completion, they called me up to inform me that an emissions hose had somehow gotten disconnected, which was the cause of the evap leak. The only time prior to this engine light that I had somebody work on my car was approximately a month ago when I had gotten my oil changed from the large company next door (not naming names, but Im sure you can figure it out). They told me it was possible that it occurred during the change. When I arrived to pick up my car, they told me that there was NO CHARGE for what they did. Needless to say I was shocked to hear this. I know of several shops back in my home state that wouldve charged me just for looking at it. Muffler Man not only demonstrated professionalism and great customer service, but most importantly, they do an honest job. Muffler Man has earned my trust and respect. I will be returning to them for any of my auto repairs and will recommend them to any person in the area looking for great service. Thank you to all who worked on my car!

I dont write reviews either, but after going to these guys for a while now, I can say that they probably offer the best prices in Lansing. Ive always called 5-6 other local garages to compare prices before I got repairs done on my vehicle, and Muffler Man was always the cheapest. Ive had several other people talk about this place too, so I thought Id give them a try. After getting a decent amount of repairs done throughout the course of 4 years, I can say that the service here is very good. They know what they are doing and wont rob you. I saved over 300 dollars getting my rear main seal changed. I saved 200 dollars getting my oil pan replaced. I saved 200 dollars on a brand new exhaust.If you want to save money, dont look anywhere else. These guys are it. I can promise you that you will not find a better price.

A coworker told me about this place and he was right to do so. Ive been ripped off by several Lansing dealerships over the last 15 years with repair times going from weeks to months to be done.Muffler Man has been a greatly refreshing change. They are quick to call with updates, even to tell me when they wont be able to get it done during the day. The customer service is top notch and very friendly.They honor their warranties and are honest people. My only regret was that I did not discover them sooner for past cars. I would recommend the South Lansing Cedar Street Muffler Man to absolutely everyone in need of car repair.

Ive been taking my vehicles here for at least seven years. The mechanics are honest, and the prices are very good. I will not go to another mechanic shop to have white done on my vehicles. I trust these guys 100 percent with the safety of my family. They gave never let me down.

I dont usually write reviews but the service here was amazing. I called about my taurus needing repair and the guy who answered the phone was really friendly and gave me a great quote. I took it in and they were very professional and kept me up to date on all the repair work. They had it done same day and I was very happy with the price. Muffler Man on Cedar St. in Holt, MI are the most honest mechanics in town. I cannot tell you how many times they’ve turned me away because I didn’t need done what I thought I needed. Any other place would’ve taken my money, especially being a woman.

If i could give this a 0 star i would first off i gave them my car January 14 i paid them $2,020 to do work on my vehicle that’s what they charged me they have all of the money and it is March 22 and my car still hasn’t been worked on yet they lie so much and keep giving me the run around a and my roommate got his radio stolen out of his vehicle here and they act like they can’t check the cameras or anything they are unprofessional and rude at times and does a good job brushing people off

Was quoted $2000 by the dealership to fix my exhaust by completely replacing it. Took my car to another shop and was told they couldnt get the parts. Took it to a third place and was quoted over $700 to repair it. Stopped by Muffler Man. The mechanic showed me the problem - a few small holes near the muffler connection. He welded them closed, replaced a loose hanger and a rusted coupler. I was in and out in one hour. Total bill? $75.00.

My husband took our 2007 Nissan Versa over there on Saturday for a sound coming from below when the gas petal was pressed. They called in the afternoon and asked us to pick it up. The service was free! They tightened a loose bolt and the noise is now gone. This was the second time they fixed noise issue for us for free.Honest and competent people that you can trust!! We like them a lot as they give you the confidence of a neiborhood shop that will take good care of you - like in the old days. We highly recommend them to everyone.

These guys are the real deal, quality work and fair prices. Dont expect to just walk in and have your car looked at right away. They stay busy because people like myself come back.

I called to check on a price and the man I spoke with was extremely rude and condescending. I felt like I would not be treated fairly or receive the respect I deserve. It seemed to be a very sexist man and not a place I would take my vehicle.

Im glad I took my car there and got the noise issue fixed for free!!!I took my 2007 Nissan Versa to Autolab last August for ABS issue and they totally messed it up. It was just one sensor (right rear) that didnt work but Autolab brought the whole ABS system down and they still charged me about $500 for their incompetent technicians time. Soon after that, I started hearing noises coming from the bottom and it just got worse and worse. I did not want to and will never ever take my cars to Autolab any more, so I took my versa to another repair shop on MLK boulevard. Those guys gave me a quote of $980 saying they would need to replace all engine and transmission mounts. I drove my car away because the wheel was very stable and the noise did not come from the engine area.So, I took my car to Muffler Man Auto Service Center on South Cedar two weeks ago because they have the highest customer review online - almost full score! I left my car there because they were very busy and got a call early in the afternoon saying it was fixed and ready for pick-up. When I asked for the cost, I was surprised to hear that it was FREE because it only took them 15 minutes to fix the sloppy job of Autolab!!I would recommend Muffler Man Auto Service Center to all. Their services cover way more than just the muffler.

My vehicle left this shop with more damages than when it went in. The guy Eric gave me a real great grin when I asked if vehicles are vandalized and robbed often there. He said it happens when I asked how it goes over in court when they are sued for not accepting liability he shrugged, smiled & said we won.They kept my blazer outside over night. They do Not have survelience cameras. My vehicle was the only one broken into out of a full lot. My blazer has tinted windows so whoever did this had to stick their face up to my vehicle before deciding to tear off my door handle with a crow bar, smash in my window, tear apart my dashboard and steal my speakers, amp and radio.IF YOU ARE GOING TO SUPPORT A LOCAL COMPANY DONT SUPPORT THIS ONE! How can you acknowledge that people get robbed from your parking lot and just not care to accept responsibility? Or at least get security cameras.

I came here last week to get my single exhaust system fixed but they told me they wouldnt be able to get it in the 4 hr time frame I had. So we both agreed Id bring it in today (Monday) to have it done. It honestly took them 7 1/2 hrs to repair the exhaust on my 4 cylinder Toyota Tacoma! Almost a freaking day to fix an exhaust system!Im done with muffler man.

If I could give them no stars I would...I had my brakes and front driver side sway bar changed. After a month I started having all kinds of problems. Bolts coming loose, brake piston sticking which ruined the caliper and wheel bearing. Causing me more than $1000.00 in extra repair cost....Will never take my vehicle there again.
