I checked the reviews and went in for oil change today. Fair enough, reasonable price, and full of information and honest suggestions from Sal that I need though he didnt give me a call when the car was ready to go. Im satisfied with the overall experience with Sal.

Really great, honest company! brought my car in because i had been told the front brakes needed replacing ASAP. fully intended to have my brakes replaced and have the shop look at a few other things for me. they took the car all day, did a full inspection, and were really communicative with me over the phone to keep me in the loop. they even replaced one of the light bulbs & they didnt charge me anything at the end of the day because they said the brakes still had a season in them! i really appreciate their honesty and not just trying to charge me for jobs i didnt need done. definitely will be coming back, this place rocks.

Someone decided that my catalytic converter would be their meal ticket and me not knowing anything about cars I didnt know what was wrong. All the shops I called were booked out for a week but Randall was able to get me in that day. They had all the parts in shop and were able to get my car fixed that day. I would highly recommend Randall for any car issue you may run into.

Had been taking our cars to the Ford dealership for service. For a number of reasons started looking for a new automotive service. After some searching and reading some Google reviews, decided to give Randall Automotive a try. Very thankful I did. I didnt make it easy on them. My F150 had some odd electrical issues that needed some outside the box thinking. Thought Craig and Jason (and their shop) did a thorough and professional job. Communicated everything very well. Overall a very positive experience, at a fair price. Randall Automotive has definitely earned my business from now on.

This is a great place to take your vehicle. They are busy all the time but that is because they are very good at what they do and are trustworthy.

The team at Randall Automotive is top notch. They will work within your budget, yet still have the vehicle safe and operational, as much as possible. No trying to sell unnecessary repairs, no pressure, very friendly and professional. They tell you whats wrong and explain how it works and leave the options up to you. They also try to tell you things they notice that are going bad and how long they estimate it will last. This allows you to plan for upcoming repairs as much as possible. Take your car here for all your needs, these guys are awesome!I had a 3 hour commute to Lansing for work and my headlight bulb burnt out. After getting off work, I wanted to stop by a place to have my headlights repaired quick so that I can start my commute back home. Everywhere I called tried to raise the price on me for same day service and were quoting me $70+ dollars. Even though I bought the bulb they were still overcharging me.I made one phone call to Randalls Automotive and they told me to bring it down. Since I had the bulb already and the fix was easy, they did it right on the spot and did not charge me! I insisted on paying but they said free of charge, so I gave them the cost of the repair in tip because these guys give the best service and they are so kind.Unbeatable service and the best prices in town. 5/5 Stars!

I go to Kia and they had the part I required from them in 2 days and have let me bring in outside parts because they understand that I can get them cheaper than they would charge me.

This is what I want in an auto repair shop. They explain things to you, and actually show you photos of whats going on with your car. Theyre honest about prices, whats immediate, and what can wait. If they think the repairs will cost more than you should spend on the car, theyll tell you.They gave me a super detailed breakdown of whats wrong with my car and spent a lot of time diagnosing it. They advised me not to get any repairs until I had a shop specializing in muffler fabrication see if my exhaust was salvageable. After all that time, they wouldve let me leave without spending a dime! I ended up getting some simple, cheap repairs almost as a thank you for being so great.I highly recommend this shop.

The owner emailed with me and was very to the point but also very polite in his communication. They got me in very quickly, considering the holidays and they finished my car amazingly fast! My car runs very well now, and I didnt pay an arm and a leg for it! I would recommend Randall Automotive to anyone needing literally anything done to fix their car. Very flexible with my schedule. Was able to drop off after hours, pay over the phone and pick up after hours. Appreciated that Craig walked me through what was wrong, prioritized what needed to be fixed and gave me different budget options (example: brakes at economy, mid and premium cost levels). As a woman, I felt that I could trust what he was telling me and knew that he wasnt trying to rip me off. Their invoice and estimate paperwork are very easy to read and provides transparency on how the cost breaks down (parts, labor, etc.). I liked that they provided me with the estimates for the work that will eventually need to be completed. Will be a repeat customer.

They even showed me a video of what was wrong with my car and the proper way to fix it. Of all my years visiting auto shops I have never experienced this, it was nice. When my car or truck is in need of repair they have now found a new home.

Im unfortunately that person who knows absolutely nothing about cars and am completely at the mercy of the car mechanic when something goes wrong (i.e., once was told in Missouri that I needed $700 in repairs at one shop, then went to another and found it was a simple repair that would cost a $10 part). Being new to the Lansing area, I was dreading having to go through the trial and error of finding a dependable shop. Which is why I am SO HAPPY Ive found Randall Automotive on my first try. They were extremely helpful, let me work in the lobby with the free wifi, and gave a really good vibe the whole time. I will definitely be recommending them to everyone I know.

GO HERE! I recently moved to Lansing from Grand Rapids, and needed service to my cars blower/HVAC unit. Ive been hesitant to take my car anywhere without my father or fiance, but I trusted Randall Autos 4.9 star review - so glad I did! The owner, Craig, gave me a couple options when the diagnosis came back - he suggested that I keep my car there overnight so I would not have to pay for another 30 min of labor for when the part arrived the next day. Only problem was that I did not have a way to get back down to the shop after work the next day. Not a problem! Craig (the owner) kindly offered to pick me up and take me back down to my car - a 30 minute round trip for him. ABOVE AND BEYOND service. I also did not feel like I was being taken advantage of when they told me the cost (I did some research after they told me the problem, and their cost was on the low-end of the average cost that I found online for the same problem). As a woman, you never know what youre going to get when you walk into an auto shop. Do yourself a HUGE favor and head to Randall Automotive for you car maintenance needs!

I heard about this company through a Facebook group for women. Many in the group recommend them. Ive used them twice, and as single woman, I can honestly say I trust them to the max to tell it like it is, give me the best pricing, do the job right, and not attempt to take advantage of someone who may know nothing about vehicle repair. On the first repair, they saved me more than $100 from my dealerships estimate. This last time I needed brakes, and they took the time to quote me three different cost/quality levels on the parts, rather than giving me one high price, and assuming I would pay it (which some with no knowledge would do). Cant say enough good things about these guys. And Ill go back to the FB group and repeat this message. Always honest and fair, Ive been taking my vehicles here for years. I still recall being impressed one of my first visits as I watched them fully explain the problem and take the best course of action for a woman who knew little about vehicles, while other shops might have easily taken advantage.

Fixed what another companys mess up and had equipment other people didnt

I have been a few times for oil changes and a new battery, as well as to get my brakes checked out when they were making a weird noise. Things Ive noticed about this business: 1) they keep very detailed records of all my visits, including reference photographs, and explained everything in great detail (sometimes with accompanying technical animations on the TV, which is very helpful) 2) They were very nice - I showed up at the wrong time for an appointment but they did their best to take care of my car anyway. Also, they have not tried to upsell me on things I dont need, which I really appreciate 4) The bathroom is very clean. Also they have wifi in the waiting room. So far so good, I will continue to come here for my car repair needs!Update: They are still great. I needed a new headlight bulb and they replaced it for about $20 less than the last place I went for a new bulb.

I am from out of town and heard a severe grinding in my rear drivers side tire. I came into their shop and they looked at for free and told me what the issue was. They assured me it wasnt anything major and I would be fine getting to my destination. They also told me they didnt like to work on imports but did give me some referrals. Even though I never had any work done I give them 5 stars! They were honest and didnt even charge me to diagnose the problem. I just wish they were available in my town.

I called Randalls based on other reviews hoping to get a better quote on rear brakes for my car. Not only did I get a better quote over the dealership, but when they called me with the actual price it was even lower than the quote! I saved about $200 over the dealership quote. Not only was the price great, the work was done really well. I will be coming back for future repairs.

Car started acting up & not accelerating properly. Stopped here as it was the closest shop. It was just as simple as the air filter not being put on correctly. Small charge & was on my way. They are now doing thorough work on a check engine light for me.

I had front brakes done; they checked the rears and told me I didnt them right away, that theyd check them again next time I came in for service.I also had them check the radiator fluids in case it needed to be flushed; again, they checked and said it was fine for now, but theyd check next time I came in.HONEST and UP-FRONT Service!!!

Can only rate the shop on MLK, but after going there i dont need to roll the dice on another location.. Ive been in 3 times. now, I know mechanics arent exactly people person types, but honestly, I needed help and the reviews were good, but 3 strikes and your out Randall... if youre up to being talked down to, or made to feel lucky that youve been given the time of day, by a guy who cant diagnose the simplest of issues, then this is your shop...

My first experience with this shop was great. Craig is very nice, informative and helpful everytime that I speak with him. I had what for me was a pretty pricy job and they took care of it in just a few hours... I was even able to make an appt a couple of weeks prior which helped big time. They are extremely helpful and kind. I had an oil change done by Valvoline, and that company put the oil cap on so tight that Randall had to break the oil cap to get it off. They were very apologetic, engaged me at each stage to see how I wanted to progress, and gave me a discount even though it was not their fault at all. I use them for all of my car needs.
