After having a bad experience at Davids bridal, I came to this shop. Lindsay is so helpful, patient, and attentive. There were other people in the shop when I got there but she made an effort to continuously check in with me. Loved the feel of the boutique and the great pricing on the dresses. Mine was a floor model and had some dust at the bottom and Lindsay handwashed the dress for me. She truly fosters such a welcoming environment

Went here to pick out the besties first wedding dress, they have a wide variety to choose from. The prices are great, and customer service was the best! Helping every step of the way. Also took a $5,000 dress, and sold it to my friend for literally a fraction of that price! Would definitely recommend in the Lansing area.

I have never felt so GRATEFUL to a shop and an owner before. I had had my original wedding dress ruined by a seamstress the day before I came in and was 3 months from my wedding day. My mom and I were a bit emotional when we came and Lindsey welcomed us with open arms. Her store was clean, organized, and had an assortment of styles and sizes. She also has veils, hair accessories, and shoes. We found my absolute dream dress that I had been looking for originally. It was 100% meant to be and I will be recommending The Dowry to everyone I know. Thank you Lindsey for so, so much more than just a dress!

I was looking for a non-traditional dress and when I saw her post it on facebook I knew that was it. The shop is really clean and the dresses are affordable. They offer a first time in discount, but you must buy it that day. They didnt let me know this and the same dress that I came back for increased in price. The dress was gorgeous and I had to have it or I would of went somewhere else. I didnt like how they handled the situation of not telling me the price would be different if I came back, other than that they will work with your budget.

I was so impressed with this place! They dont have as large a selection as many bridal shops, but all of their dresses are of the highest quality! Their prices are great, and the staff is fantastic. Lindsey was so personable and helpful, I would recommend this place to anyone!

To start off, I’m a 6 foot tall woman and not a skinnie Minnie tall. I was so worried about wedding dress shopping and my fears became true as I started shopping at the big stores in Lansing. They would have MAYBE 2 dresses I could try and nothing felt right. Not until I got to Dowry’s and started looking at her selection and I couldn’t have been happier. She has a beautiful selection for all shapes and sizes which is amazing considering the size of her store. I explained to her what I wanted and she helped every step of the way. She made the shopping experience comfortable and FUN for everyone involved. She’s also just a wonderful person with a GREAT personality.

This shop is above and beyond great! We went here for my daughters home coming dress and they made her feel so comfortable and helped her find the most gorgeous dress.. When we were there, there were many others also looking,, but we were never made to feel like we were in the way or that they were to busy. They made our experience feel like we were the only ones in the store. HIGHLY recommend.

I bought my daughters First Communion dress and dress accessories at this store.They have prom, wedding, mother of the bride, bridesmaid and flower girl/First Communion dresses with all of the accessories you need to complete your look.The owner is such a nice, caring lady, ready to help you!! My daughter and I always got our fancy dresses here and from the moment we walked in til the moment we walked out was an amazing experience. She also always helped out with our Fundraiser dances for 1st responders. We moved to Kansas but would hands down still go here for our dress needs when in town!! She is one of a kind!!

I’m so thankful I stumbled upon the Dowery when I was shopping for my wedding dress! What a cute little store with amazing staff. I found the dress of my dreams, at the price of my dreams! I even ended up ordering a veil later on over the phone and they shipped it right away! Would recommend them to everyone!

The owner is absolutely wonderful. She is very knowledgeable about her inventory, which makes things go really smoothly. She is so fun to be around, and makes you feel so relaxed and at ease. We loved her so much after buying my dress there, that a year later, we were back to look at dresses for my sister. She treats my 4 year old niece so well, and is so patient with children. She really made her feel special and included in the time, and showed absolutely no sign of frustration eith my nieces constsnt interruptions from excitement.. Shes very fun to be around, and is all around a great person. She made us feel completely comfortable, and was there to help with everything! I cannot recommend this bridal store enough! She has a wide variety of dressed for all tastes, including dresses for other events such has homecoming, prom, etc. Her prices are so reasonable, making things a lot more affordable.

This place hands down has to be the best place to get a wedding dress. I came from Grand Rapids to visit the Dowry, and Im so glad I did! The woman who owns the Dowry is the sweetest and most helpful person. I picked out some dresses to try on and she helped pick out a few more. In the end I found my dream dress and at half the cost I would have paid at a bridal boutique! Also, when I went I didnt realize that consignment does not automatically mean used. Almost all the dresses are brand new with tags (including the one I ended up purchasing).Seriously, if youre looking for a wedding dress. Go there.

I have never met such wonderful people as I did at the Dowry Bridal in Grand Ledge. When I went I was in search of tux rentals and mother of the bride dresses. Emily was extremely helpful and got me the best deal ever on tuxedos. She was also amazing and offered me extra services that I was struggling to find help with for my wedding. Went to this salon looking for a dress to wear in engagement pictures. Emily was amazing and helped me find the perfect dress for a steal of a price. The wedding dresses there were beautiful, plus many gowns still had the original price tags. Most of the dresses are sizes 8-12, so if youre a sample size this place is quite a gem! Wished I would have went here first to find my wedding dress.

Cant speak highly enough of Lindsey and her shop.... what a warm and welcoming experience. She provided excellent customer service and was extremely accommodating, patient, sweet, laid back and professional . Would give 10 stars if it were an option!

Great job, found the perfect dress for a great price with military discounts! The people working are great and you have lots of options for designs and sizing, everything works great and they have different shoes or pieces to go along with all the dresses to help make everything feel more complete, the woman that helped me was Lindsey and she was great the entire time, would recommend!!

I wish I remembered the beautiful ladies name that helped me pick my dress out but I dont,all I know is she was tall and blonde with a nose ring and I dont know what I would have done without her. I was looking for a very specific type of gown with three weeks left until my wedding. I looked everywhere and couldnt find anything close to my taste. Not only does this store have a wide variety of up to date gowns,but the employees are so helpful and will tell you the truth instead of just trying to get a sale. I was able to take my time and not feel pressured at all. With the large selection and affordable prices, I am so glad I started my search here and found the perfect dress.
