My kids and I absolutely love spending our time and money here. We can be at the store for hours and not get bored!! Our bookcases are full 😅😅

An honest to goodness bookstore. Used, new and rare. Plus tarot cards, LPs and so much more. Staff super courteous. Highly recommend.

This place is awesome...its a great place to take the kids, so they can read and see a variety of books and games. Plenty of items to look through. All in all great place to be get away and read a book.

Decent bookstore with a varied selection-albeit a bit limited. Unfortunately, prices seem to keep rising everytime I go in. At least Laredo has one true bookstore.

Always a pleasent place to visit, although I do miss being able to sit and play a game of DnD there during the weekends. Its good to see them taking Covid as serious as they did even if it lowered the access to some of their game testing. Cant wait for them to open up fully again

Its a big store with good variety of items. They have multiple sale/clearance areas. Just seem to be lacking some on floor employees.

Raw Review: Great place to find comics and other stuff. However, nobody likes going to a public bathroom. The bathroom looks like you can catch a case of corona virus. As soon I went in I walked out because it smelled horrible and had to take my mask off just to breathe fresh air. I was approached by an employee to put it back on so I did. Hire someone for maintenance asap.

I was not in here for long but I liked what I saw! The store itself is really big and clean and has a nice atmosphere to it punctuated by how it looks! The selection they have of everything from books to comics/manga and instruments is quite impressive! Id say something about the service but I didnt really need or get any so no real comment there even though they seemed like good people from a distance. The ONLY thing I wish I wouldve seen was more hard to find or rare stuff but I didnt expect it anyhow! Great big fun place!

Great place to find, hard to find collectibles

Sorry Daniel, Claudia, and Margo, love you guys but since CoVid hit and Jesse and/or Cassandra left, the comic book section has went to hell. No new graphic novels, they seem like the same ones thats been there for over a year now. Oh by the way Im back in Laredo again. Anyways I asked the manager about getting my Marvel pull list going again, he says yeah sure and then hands me the form fill out just like I did before. Then he says if you dont see something on there just write it down and well pull it if it comes in. I said well wait a minute cant you request them. He said no, we can only pull whatever Diamond sends us. Thats very unfortunate. If its a 2nd & Charles corporate agreement, obviously is not our fault locally, but how can that type of agreement even be acceptable? With 2nd & Charles being a customer to Diamond, the customer should be permitted to place their own customizable orders. Im thinking about getting in touch with Diamond directly to find what logistics are behind this and if there are any loopholes to be able to get more of what Im looking for. So instead of giving up, Im willing to try and help find a way that I can become a frequent customer again like I was in the better half of 2019 through the 1st quarter of 2020. Hopefully we can get this thing on the right track. Oh and yes i do feel sorry for you DC fanatics now that they arent even going through Diamond anymore

Its a hidden gem, has a lot great stuff I would spend hours in here had i more time. I would definitely stop by again if Im ever in the area

It has a wide variety of manga, novels, movies, and games! Trinkets and such from the above categories can be found in the store as well. It can be very disorganized at times though.

They have Japanese comic books or manga for short and some famous people we know i like Barack Obama novel and others

This was one of my favorite shops to find cool unusual gifts but it really seems like their prices have gone up. I am not sure if its the store or if they are having to pay higher prices for things also

The cashier was SUPER nice but his boss has no manners. I had to return something and purchase again because I asked about the discount after the fact (yes my bad) but when she came in to fix it, she said NOTHING. Not a hello ma’am, here it is, finished, NOTHING. The only was I found out she was done is because they cashier came to charge me again-.- SUPER RUDE!!! Not coming back because of HER and will share my horrible experience with this lady as much as I can.

Its a nice place to kill time but everything feels like it has dust on it pretty weird. Anyhow the variety of items they sell are very neat.

It is clean but has lacks smells horrible and but I did see everything super organized just.

This is a chain bookstore under the books a million franchise. This location had some hard-to-find books I needed for my collection. Good location and I like the free book bin too.

My family and I, like going to this place with no agenda in mind. We like discovering what they have instead. Some items are used but in great conditions. The prices are very reasonable. They have events quite often and normally its family friendly. Overall its a good place to go with your family.

I was looking for a book and called in advance, and was amazed at the service I was given!(:The employee Jose told me although they didnt have the book he had located it for me at the book store at the mall, amaaaazing service!

I wish I could give this store ZERO Stars! Most of the customer service staff is rude and do not tend to customers well. I have given this store numerous chances to be a bit better but No More. I am never going back here again. This should have been a new page for Laredo but your staff at this store isn’t at all considerate of folks time and like to stand around and talk while customers stand waiting. And then when they get done talking they bombard you with nothing but Terrible customer service and a demeaning attitude.

This place is adorable. Staff is incredibly helpful and friendly. I have bought some Pops here that I wasnt able to find in other places. I will say that I feel a lot of their merchandise is a little pricey especially for a second hand store atmosphere.

I really liked this location. I’ve only been to one other 2nd & Charles but this one was definitely better. The employees are nice, the selection is great, and they even have a gaming section where you can literally play video games. A customer in the store saw me drop my sunglasses and returned them immediately. I guess that just speaks volumes of how nice the people are in the area.

Customer services was not to great. I know some days might be tough but there is no excuse on taking it out on the customer. Only one employee had a positive attitude & helped me on what I was looking for.

The book selection is very large. You can find board games, video games tons of music in every single form. CDs, cassettes, long plays and many other forms at very affordable prices plus the hold family friendly activities from time to time.

I tried to sell some action figure collectibles that I know were high sellers and I felt insulted by what they were going to offer me. I was selling them like 7 different action figures and all that they were going to give me for them was like 8 dollars for everything, I will never go back to that store again, ever!!! So if you have old collectibles to sell don’t go there you will be wasting your time, you will be offered 95% less than what you paid for it.

This store is my favorite, its awesome, amazing, and especially out of this world, theres absolutely nothing I do not love, love it. I take me daughter and granddaughter, we spend hours going through books and memorbilia!

Great store. Spacious and full of all types of merchandise from books, records, comics, toys, collectibles, DVD movies and video games, etc. If you are a book aficionado, do not hesitate to visit, you will not be disappointed. Location is great and lots of parking lot.

Lots Lots of books, they even have a 10-20 ft tall wall of books .Also sell comic books, every Thursday they host a board game day. Also have video games you can play (not demo the actual full game! ) and buy. They also sell Spanish written and translated books. They sell guitars and music you can also buy used objects and sell your used objects. Go there at least one time a month, thought I would go more often if I could. Overall a great store

Had a lot of cool stuff at good prices. We got a couple of books for my daughter and she loves them. Saw a few things my husband and I said we were probably going to go back for.

Love this place! Cant believe I never had gone to shop there. You can pretty much find anything you want at this establishment including Japanese snacks.

I absolutely love this store. My only thing is that maybe someone should walk around and spray some fabreez. I hate to admit but the place smelled a little funky. Maybe some wall plug ins will do. But other than that I love this store.

Prior to the vist. I called for information on there recieving policy, they misinformed me. Then proceeded to deny me service after no one was at the recieving desk when the cutoff time for recieving books and items expired.

I love it here! Except one time someone by the right side counter left us waiting for over 15 minutes when we wanted to ask a question and he walked off when my husband called him over to ask about an item he wanted to purchase. Someone else was walking by and he helped my husband out. Other than that, I like this place.
