The manager here at the Layton location was great! Really, all the employees were. They answered all my questions and told me what to expect as far as getting my car back after having to get a new windshield installed. When I got my van back, the new windshield looked great! Ive been here twice - once to replace a windshield and anther to fill a rock chip in my windshield. Both times excellent customer service both from counter employees and technicians. My car was taken in at the scheduled time and completed when promised. Quality work, fair price, easy online scheduling.

These guys do a great job and can even install on older cars. Just be aware that impact damage (rocks or any other projectiles) are not covered under the manufacturer warranty.

I went to Safe light with a rock chip in my windshield which was broke on the day I purchased my new car. The chip was the size of a quarter and the legs were threatening to propagate . so I had safelite fix it . and it became invisable, and you cant even tell it was ever chipped... I had a huge chip put into my windshield while traveling to visit family on Christmas Eve. I knew if I didnt get it fixed right away it would spread and require a new windshield. When I arrived they were starting to wind down to close down shop until Saturday. I explained the issue of my windshield and my insurance only letting me schedule for Saturday. They said they would be able to get me in right then and there, 30 mins later we were back on the road. I really appreciated the help they offered and besides 2 cosmetic spots you would never know that there had been a crack. Highly highly recommend this location!

This is my second time replacing my windshield--i live in the dessert with a lot of flying rocks on the highway during the summer. Theyve always done a good job and they have good customer service. When you have your windshield replaced, it will take 2 hours so have a plan in place if you dont want to wait.

TL;DR Go to another company or at least another location for windshield repair. This one is poorly managed.Our insurance company keeps sending us here even though we’ve had nothing but trouble from them any of the 4 times we’ve had to use them in the last 8 months. First, we had a chip in the windshield on our truck. The edges were clean, but it somehow cracked about 6 inches as soon as they started to fill it. Then they told us it would need to be replaced for $500.A few weeks later, the windshield on our SUV got a crack and needed to be replaced. Again, our insurance sent us here. Because it was a newer model they didn’t have it in stock. Totally understandable. They ordered the windshield and set up an appointment for the following week. We show up for our appointment, no windshield. They didn’t even call us to let us know. It took another week and a half to get it replaced. Even more frustrating was that the windshield barely made it 2 months before it got cracked again. Almost the same thing happened except we called the day before to find out that the windshield wasn’t in and we’d have to reschedule for another week out.That new windshield lasted us 4 months this time, but, due to the weather, the crack this time is much worse. We call on Tuesday and they tell us they’ll have the windshield by Saturday (today). We call them on Friday fully expecting to reschedule, but, much to our surprise, the windshield is in! Just in time, too, because the windshield is cracked almost completely across horizontally. We show up for our appointment, they double check to make sure the windshield is in stock, take our key, and tell us they’ll call us when it’s ready. Less than an hour later we get what we thought was a call to come pick our vehicle back up and we’re surprised it was finished so quickly. NOPE! Instead, they were calling to let us know that, while they had the windshield, it didn’t come with any of the molds to seal it. Since it was mid afternoon on a Saturday they couldn’t (or just wouldn’t) even call their dealer to get the molds. Instead we’d have to wait until Monday for them to even order them, and then it would take 2 or more days to ship them. Now, we once again wait 😒It would be bad enough for any of these situations to happen period. They could be written off as a fluke if they had happened alone and other interactions with this shop had been positive. However, 4 negative experiences in less than a year (3 of which are basically the same issue repeating itself) is ridiculous and reflects poor management and lack of customer service on the part of this shop.

Ive never had any problems with Safelight. They always do a great job. Car comes cleaner than when they take it. Sanitize due to covid. Never will go anywhere else.

Did a great job with my rock chip repair. They honored my Techna glass life time repair and fixed it for free. Their website and phone assistance needs a little help. I literally drove all the way to the shop while waiting for my call to be answered. Walking in the store they hooked me right up.

Regulator on my drivers side window broke over the weekend. Andy was able to get me in same day I called and get the part right away. Awesome job. Very friendly.

Worked really well with my insurance. They were half way quick to get everything in order to get my car and take care of the chip in my windshield. They contacted my insurance company for me and made the while process very easy for me. The chip they filled sealed up very good and Im pleased with the whole interaction. The waiting room wasnt exactly inviting, though comfortable. And it wouldnt hurt to throw some snacks or better magazines for customers while waiting. Good experience overall.

These guys did an awesome job at taking care of me.We had some problems with finding the right windshield for my Focus RS that I was looking for (Me being picky). They were very patient with me and helped me get what I was looking for. On top of this they were super awesome at getting me in at a time that was convenient for me.My only complaint would be, when you call you always get forwarded to their call center rather than the store. The call center and online chat never had the right answer for me, only the store.

Truly wonderful experience. Most delightful of the experience was how quickly it was done. I had my front windshield replaced and it was done so quickly that I just waited in the office which was very accommodating with tv, magazines and coffee if desired. The time was much less than quoted and the whole transaction was pleasant and my daughter and I were made to feel completely comfortable.

I went to Safelite for the first time yesterday and had great service from the time I walked in until I drive away. I got a rock chip on my new vehicle and drive straight to Safelite. I have replaced two windshields on two different vehicles in the past month here...I tried to call the local office and it routes to a call center for appointments and to work out the insurance stuff. Sometimes it seems like the local office might have a better gauge as to if they could fit another install in that day.... The work was quick and easy, done faster than expect, less than an hour on both occasions..(not always the case).. They washed all the windows before pick up, wicked I really liked. The only thing for me is Im old fashioned and I like to talk to someone in the shop... Not to some call center to schedule an appointment...

4.5 stars to be exact.We didnt have to pay our deductible because we had our windshields repaired.So far at this Location, we have had 2 windshields repaired. Our 2016 Kia Optima. And 09 Sonata. No Charge.We had our 08 Pathfinder Windshield replaced out of pocket but I was shocked when the price was only 220 out the door with warranty. That is a good Deal.WOW. They took care of us. They are prompt, professional, and it really didnt take long with the appointment.The only reason they didnt have 5 stars is because the call center representative was doing too much. I called for my Mother to set up her appointment and he wouldnt let me do it without talking to her for 20 min getting all the details. I am the CAR Guy for the family and my Mom is almost 70. Can we just have her say yes I am making the claim and then he can speak with me. She said I dont know like 50 times and I had to tell her what to say. That guy was doing the MOST!For the repairs I have had in the past other companies were able to lighten and strengthen the crack up to 80%. Its not the same at safelight. Yes they repair it and make it about 80% strength but you still see the crack. I wish you could barely see it but its still very noticeable.

Happy with the service - just seemed odd that the techs arrived with only one type of glass - tinted green at the top. They then asked if that was OK, as if I would say no and have to completely reschedule for a few weeks later - wasting everyones time. I think they should let customers know if they can only provide one option if its so polarizing for some people (1st tech said he hated it, 2nd said he likes it, I didnt really care). I got it installed still - I still dont care that much, but either call ahead and let people know, or sell your product better.

They made sure to get the exact windshield that I had before when I had to get it replaced after it cracked. They even put on some touch up paint to prevent some rusting.

It was mobile service but I was told they would waive the $50 fee as the under wiper cowl was broken, or they replace it. Car is old so I said I would do it myself. Cost me $80 to buy while I waited. A day later I see they took the $50 anyways. 2 weeks later and still havent gotten my $50 back although they said it would be sent quickly. Be careful. USAA said preferred shop. Maybe I should have went to Techniglass as I have always done in the past...

You would think when a business as large as Safelite purchases a company like techna glass they would save the customer history but they didnt so good luck on your warranties youll need your paperwork to get any warranty work

Pretty standard. The only weird thing was I had to get on the phone with some dude and verify a bunch of stuff, might be standard procedure but it took forever and I couldnt understand him.

Couldnt fix a simple crack, botched the repair job and then asked me if I wanted to replace the windshield. Luckily Sanders Glass in Kaysville was able to repair it. Will never go to Safelite again.
