UPS moved locations, but there’s no sign saying so. Luckily we happened to drive by the new location before heading to Kaysville.The new UPS store is where the Zumies used to be. It’s in a nice little spot and looks like they’ll be offering more services (I saw printers and tables).My first visit at their old location wasn’t the most pleasant. We had to walk down to Sally’s because UPS didn’t have a pen for us to use. I thought it was very weird that they didn’t have one, but when we walked back in (after borrowing one from Sally’s), they pulled out a pen for the customer in front of us. Maybe they just found it…I’m not sure.The new location is awesome! The people working there today were really nice, and sending the package out was a breeze! Even though they’re just around the corner, their new location is loads better.
UPDATE: Apparently, the original location is closed and they moved. Which Im glad to hear because I wasnt looking forward to going all the way out to Clinton or Kaysville.**CLOSED*** for lease signs in the window
My Android led me on a wild goose chase to several different locations where there was no UPS store, including the Layton hills Mall. I actually went into the mall because Google kept saying that the UPS store was there and I met a nice couple Mall walking who used an iPhone and told me the new location is 721 North main Street. If you know where del taco is it is just Southwest of del Taco almost the same parking lot. Its the big gray building with gray columns and its right on the west corner.
CANNON and his co worker where helpful and fast at getting my package taken care of. I go there often to do drop offs and they always greet me and say that they will get to us asap. This is the store I choose to use because they are so nice.
Let me preface my feedback by saying that as a full time traveller, having the ability to have packages sent to various UPS Stores across the country is normally a convenient and pleasant experience.This store review was neither pleasant nor convenient.Two weeks prior to purchasing expensive items to be delivered to this location, I called and asked permission to use the store for pickup. At the same time giving my name and number to the clerk, so they could keep an eye out for my large packages. I told the lady when we would be arriving and she said no problem.I tracked said items after purchase and upon notification that packages had been delivered I called the store again to verify and remind them when we would be in town within a week.The day we arrived in Layton we went to the UPS store to retrieve our boxes.We walked into the store and alerted a youngish young woman and a tallish heavy set youngish man that we were here to collect our boxes. There were two other employees there as well behind the counter.The man was rude and insinuated that our packages were large and had been a nuisance to them. He went back to get them and the girl checked us out for our pickup fees. He brings two large boxes out which we take off the counter and them he brings out two heavyweight tube containers. I take them off the counter and realize immediately the tubes were empty: I say so immediately and all the employees scatter except the youngish blond girl. No one made an effort to look for the item, no one looked shocked or offered to look around for it. It being a $665.00 Jeep Rack System. The only thing the girl said was… “would you like a $5.00 refund for that pickup fee.That was it. I was shocked and mortified. Now, I am not implying that someone in the store ripped my rack system off, but it does not look good that there was no sympathy or condolence for my loss.Of course, I had to order a replacement rack which was delivered to the same store and the two other times we had contact with the same heavy set young man it was the same rude behavior.Our last visit was today to pick up a couple of small packages and thankfully we had (I believe his name was Josh, tall skinny guy) take care of us. Super sweet and great customer service skills. The heavy guy and blond young lady are an anchor around the neck of that store and need better training or the boot. I am only giving three stars because Josh is a superstar. If it was not for him, this location would get 1 star.
I drop my Amazon returns off at this store very frequently and I have always had a great experience! The staff is very speedy and very friendly. Cannon was especially kind and patient with me as I had several items to return. Thank you for your professional and positive attitude!
I forgot to bring my mail key with me and when I asked them to open my box for me, they refused per company policy. I offered to show them my ID, but they still refused to help me. What happens if I accidentally lose my key?! Am I just out of luck?! The customer service here is atrocious. Needless to say, I wont be renewing my mailbox when the time comes.
I always use this location! The employees here are fantastic. Yesterday a young man named WILL helped me and gave me some great tips. I left in a better mood because of him.
Late on this review, but would like to recognize Cannon. Just dropped off some Amazon returns right before closing time and he was super helpful and in no rush. Happy with his polite service.
I can’t say enough great things about my experience today at this location. I needed to print/mail a few things and have something notarized in a hurry. I called prior to leaving to make sure the notary was in and by the time I arrived, Levias had everything set out and ready for us to notarize and ship. It was a seamless experience.

Mr. Cotle was a great help. My wife and I came into this location about a month ago to have something printed and we were given excellent service. Once again we entered this location and were helped with steadfast customer service. We will be back, and with hopes to be helped by Mr. Cotle again.

This place will nickel and dime you for everything. I worked at a ups store before and this ups stores do not want to keep your business. The staff is rude and unhelpful. I will not be coming back to this ups store if I can help it. Save yourself a headache and take your business else where.

Even though they have the sign for Amazons “no box no label drop off” they charge to box certain items. If I had known I would have brought my own boxes, but that’s never been an issue before and I’ve used this Amazon return service multiple times. I’ve never had to pay a dime at any other location. The worker said it’s because this is a privately owned store, which means it’s sort of part of the UPS chain but not exactly.....will not be coming here again. The one positive was the worker was very amiable about checking which items would cost and how much, but that shouldn’t be an issue they should have to deal with in the first place. The part I can’t get past is that they literally advertise for this specific Amazon service right on the register. Don’t advertise a service you don’t actually offer!
The UPS store has always been good when I visit and wait is variable like any shipping store. Very easy if you are just dropping packages off. Store is a decent size and I do not use many of the other services they offer at this location. I like UPS for sending most large items.
I came to this location on December 3rd needing to ship a expensive package to Sacramento CA. The options were $183 to overnight or $35 for Saturday I chose to overnight. It is now Saturday Dec 5th and my package is in Reno Nevada to be delivered on Monday December 7th.Not only was my delivery date missed, it was not even shipped via Air as paid for. Called customer service and came back to the store and no one seems to care. They wont refund the difference in cost even though I got neither the date or service I paid for. UPS IS A JOKE and I will never use them or this store again.would be 0 stars if they would allow it

I’m sorry that I had to ask her, how to used the return label and etc. she was short with me and when I took a pen, she grabbed the container and said in a rudely manner; you are wearing gloves and you touching them. I only touch one pen but She could had said it nicely manner. She didn’t say Thank you. As a Manager she should show an example. She is lucky she has a job. Please show Appreciation to the customers instead of being rude.

I took a package in to the Layton store to be shipped that needed to arrive at its destination on a certain day. The store did not ship my package until the following evening and then tried to tell me it took a day to get from their store in Layton to the Salt Lake City UPS center. Needless to say, my package didnt arrive on time.Careless, sloppy, with no attention to detail, the staff is rude and displays an attitude of complete apathy. If you have a package to ship, stay away from the Layton UPS Store. Youre better off at the post office!

I called in asking for a quote on some brochures and flyers I needed printed for my business by the end of the week. Everyone who helped me was very polite, organized, and professional.

I had the worst experience here tonight 12/18/2018. I came in around 6:30 with quite a few packages, some were returns and some were to send out. At first there was a huge line, understandable being that its around the holiday. The two ladies working got through it fairly quick. One of the ladies told me that she could get me started on my returns. She was still helping a customer but was waiting on a label to print. She looked at my label and said that they didnt send the right one so I asked if we can print out the right one and she said it wouldnt be a problem. She eventually went back to the other customer and didnt communicate anything it was taking quite some time so my husband decided to ask the second lady there if she can help us with our other packages. She literally shook her head at us and rolled her eyes without saying one word. I was in such disbelief. I told them that I would be in contact with their manager. Horrible customer service. Neither one tried to explain or apologize.
Twice now I have used the UPS online store for copies and quick prints. Twice now, the store where I chose to pick up my orders (I used two different stores) have messed up my order and refused to fix it.They will not refund my money, they will not deliver me new merchandise, they will not trust that the order is incorrect unless I bring it in and spend double the trips back to the store to fix their error. They will do nothing but give me 10% off my next order.I will not be ordering again. It is clear to me that the quality and professionalism of this company is compromised. It is also clear to me that it does not matter which location I go to, errors are going to be made and there will be no attempt to fix the errors.In one instance one side of the brochure was printed upside down. Clearly, anyone who looked at it would realize that this was not what the person ordering would want. But no one made a proof, no one even looked at the order, just pushed print and handed it to me.In the second instance only half of my order was printed on photo quality paper, the rest of the order was printed on plain white computer paper. Another clear error. Clearly, the copier ran out of paper and the next person came along and noticing it was out of paper, added plain white computer paper without checking or looking at the order.These are both simple mistakes to make, the thing that is upsetting to me is that in both instances a total disregard was made for me as the customer. It was my job to bring the print job back to them to verify it was done incorrectly. It was my job to make sure they printed it correctly. It was my job to come again to the store and pick up a corrected order.In both instances, I did not have time to do these things, so I had to eat the cost and live with faulty or incomplete orders.I will never use your service again, so please dont offer me your standard 10% off offer. It is useless when 100% of the time your employees are going to mess up my order.
I had to call three times over an hour to see if they did foam in place. The two previous times I left my name and number as directed. They never called back. They said they were two busy. Then they didnt ever know what foam in place was. What dopes.Obviously too busy for business. Go to FedEX 1 block north. They answer their phone and they do foam in place. Much Much better customer service.
Worst customer service ever! Let the guy at the counter know in the beginning that I needed tracking and confirmation of delivery. He had me pay for the shipping, and then said oops! I forgot to get your email address for confirmation. Me standing there waiting for him to say, let me fix that. He said theres nothing I can do about it. Very rude. I will be doing my shipping elsewhere from here on out!

New owners! We just moved here and I was scared to go to this store after reading the previous reviews. I am happy to report that there is a brand new owner. The lady behind the desk was very nice, she went the extra mile for me and the customer service was wonderful. Im so sorry that all of the previous posters had such negative experiences. It looks like your voices were heard and now there is new ownership of the UPS store, so its safe to go back! :)

Horrible customer service. One star is too much. I have visited this store a exactly four times. My first visit, I waited for 30 minutes while the only two staff members tried to get their computer to print. Technology glitch is not necessary their fault. I was next in line and figured I would wait. However the line of customers grew while both them stared at the computer monitor. I watched people come and leave. Not once did they offer a greeting or explanation to any customer. Only muttering of why wont this F@ing thing print. I should have left, but I was next in line. After at least 30 minutes, they finally decided they would have to work on the one remaining computer and turned their attention back to the customers waiting in line. Finally and I was next in line. I just needed to send a package, a regular, no extras, nothing special... package. I was very impolitely and rudely informed that she was not going to be able to help me. She said was in the middle of something and would not be able to offer me any assistance. She offered no further explanation or even asked why I was there. I understand that their system not working correctly was not her fault, but it was not mine either.After this event, I had no plans of returning. My additional 3 times to this store were to pick up the a package. I missed the UPS driver and was told to pick a package at the this location. I called the store to see the package had arrived. I was told that UPS delivers their packages in the afternoon. Not a big deal, I can go another day. I swung by the following day with the information left by the UPS delivery personnel. The staff originally told me that UPS had not yet delivered. I told them it was from a previous day. They asked me for my name. I gave them my name and my companies name. I was told it was it not there. UPS sent me a notification to pick up my package our it would be returned to the sender within 2 days. Again, I returned to the store the next day. Again the staff promptly told me that UPS had not delivered yet. I explained the situation. She again asked my name. I gave them my name and my companies name. I asked if the number on the UPS delivery slip would help. I was told it would not be of any help. On both of these visits the staff didnt leave the front counter to look at the packages in the back. I have tried twice and Im getting a little frustrated. I dont send or receive a lot of packages. I was trusting that UPS store folks would be looking out for my best interest and knew what they were talking about. I called UPS customer service and was informed that the number given on the UPS we missed you slip can also be used as a tracking number. UPS customer service and I tracked the package. It was scanned as delivered to the UPS store on the day of my first visits. 3 hours before my visit. I returned to UPS store. Again I was told it was not there. I asked her to please look up the number. We did. She said, Oh you are right. It should be here. She walked the 20 feet to the packages. The first package that she looked at. The box had weird looking logo on the side. The package could be seen from the front counter. I had noticed it sitting there on the other two visits, due to the weird logo. HOLY COW!!! It was my package. It was not only addressed with my name, but also my companies name... No other names were listed on the package. It really would have been package would have been lost after that run around.... I will never go back. I will drive further and I will pay more to ship elsewhere.
Great experience. We needed to have some documents notarized and sent over night and the customer service was excellent. The owner was very professional and patient.
Terrible experience. The employee I worked with was very rude and not helpful. She charged me for items that I did not agree to and she got annoyed when I asked her what I was charged for. She made me feel stupid and unwelcome.

Most inconsiderate staff! We went in the store to have some doc notarized and faxed when my 4 yr old told me he needed to go potty. I asked if we could use their restroom and the staff said No, its a legal issue, we have box cutters etc around...my son responded shakingly I wont touch anything but the staff has no compassion and said It can cost me my job... Needlessly to say I hurried and took him out while hes saying mama, can I pee out here, why she didnt let us go potty, I really wont touch anything...

Unfortunately I did not read the other reviews before going in to the store and surprise surpise I had a horrible experience like the rest of them.I am assuming Kim (older bald guy with beard) is the same one you speak of because he was just as rude. I came in to send a return package and he looked at me like I was retarded for even being there. The shipping and everything was already paid for through the place I bought it for and they arranged a pick up for it at my home. It was raining that day so I took it in to the store instead so it would not get wet. As soon as I gave it to him, he turned it around and threw it on the ground. Its not like was anything fragile or expensive in there he could have cared less about it. Then to top it all off, instead of him giving the package to the UPS driver I get a call from him the next day saying that I have to come back to the store to get it because it cant be shipped. When I talked to him he didnt give me any options he just told me the problem and expected me to have the answer to it.Horrible horrible store! Totally unfriendly person! I cant believe that store is still open with the way he treats people I doubt any one every comes back.DO NOT EVER USE THIS STORE GO TO A DIFFERENT ONE YOUVE BEEN WARNED!I would have given them a zero star but you cant

Staff kept denying my requests on shipping a package and how exactly the company requested that I did it. I couldn’t even get a word in.
Tried to overnight a letter they said I had to go through the US Post office since I was mailing to a PO box and they said no worries I could just do that from their store, that they could also do USPS mail at the same price. And then quoted me $54.00! Crazy. I knew the post office was $23 to overnight a letter or package so I left and went and mailed my letter from the post office and it was only $23. Kind of seems like a scam UPS. 😬
