Koenig did a brilliant job servicing my John Deere zero turn rider and my Honda push mower. Both were desperately in need of a tune up and oil change.Koenig provided some of the easiest and most convenient service. They picked up both mowers from my house on a flatbed truck. Changed the oil, spark plugs, very thorough inspection of all critical components and filters.When they delivered the mowers back to me, they looked brand new! Before they were quite dirty from all the grass clippings and various yard work we do. Koenig gets zero stars. They wanted to charge us over $2,600 for a job that we are now getting done for $1,040. They also charged us $227 for a diagnostics. We bought over $25,000 worth of equipment over the years and all our maintenance. We are so disgusted with their service. We would highly recommend you go somewhere else. Buchanan Power Equipment has earned themselves a lifetime customer. I moved to the area several months ago and at that time was using my old 1986 John Deere 318 mower Id inherited from my grandfather. As with old tractors, it inevitably broke down beyond what I was capable of fixing on my own. Their service department was very professional, prompt, and excellent with communication. They arranged for pick up while I was at work and called me the next day to tell me the diagnosis and further repairs that needed to be made, some of which would be quite expensive. I was able to speak with one of their very experienced mechanics who recalled working on the very same model when it was new! He advised me on the best course of action and what hed do if it were him (it was basically scrap it or take a gamble and fix it). Obviously, I went for the fix (hence the post). They were very flexible with the repairs and allowed me to buy aftermarket parts that were vastly cheaper than the parts John Deere wanted. After everything was said and done, I got my tractor delivered back to my door running in the best shape Ive seen it in years. Its running like a brand new mower. I could not be happier with the end result.

Bought a lawn mower less than a year ago, still under warranty and they want to charge me a hundred dollars to look at it because the switch to the lawn mower blades isn’t working. We were not told that at the time of sale and behind the scenes cost or I would’ve chose a different dealership. As a healthcare provider on the frontlines I wouldn’t recommend and sadly disappointed in the service. It’s not the first time we’ve had a problem with service department. We had a wood splitter sitting there for 2 weeks not fixed, diagnosed or even looked at. It was sitting where we dropped it off and they wanted to charge a service fee. We have been loyal customers and bought numerous items at this location due to being a few miles down the road. Chainsaws, weed eater, chains, and a John Deere 1025 R with a bucket. This is the Germantown location

I have always had a positive experience with employes.

We had problems getting any speed with our zero-turn mower.What use to take maximum of 60 minutes to mow 1 & 1/2 acres is taking us 180 minutes. Tried obtaining help from this store, but, did not get a return call from Sales dept. after I left my contact information.

Went in for a new Stihl weed wacker and mower. Tyler Kelly was great to work with and answered every question I had. Dealership has that small town feel with very friendly employees. Had them pick up our running mower to get an estimate on repairs. Charged us $200 just for pickup and diagnostic. Wanted and outrageous $1100 for the repair. They charge $95+ an hour in labor. Such a shame to take advantage of people with such steep pricing.

I purchased a Z540R from koenig, and they were very helpful and quick. I had accidentally selected the wrong zero turn on line, and they helped me cancel that selection and find the local store that had the one I wanted. They were able to schedule delivery a few days later in peak season, and delivered it on time. As far as the Z540R goes, it is astounding, I know it is the top of the line for residential zero turns, but even to that degree it is amazing. I cut my time from 2.75 hours to 1.2 hours (compared to my old 42 tractor). The 60 HC deck had no problem cutting 6-8 inch grass down to 3 inches at full speed. I believe this will pay for itself in the time i save.

Tried to bring my Zero turn back to us which was running just fine when they picked it up dead and unable to start. And then say the bad pto switch is what is keeping it from starting. It had a bad pto switch before you picked it up and it started and ran great. Even drove it up on your truck bed. Plus had the unit tore apart with bolts in the cup holder and the control panel loose and unsecured. Then he said he only charged 1 hr to diagnose what the problem was instead of 2 hrs. Just to tell me the pto switch was bad and it is seeping oil and needs all gaskets replaced for a total bill of about $1100. REALLY!!

He answered all my questions clearly and even punched in our home address on his computer to gauge the square footage of the yard to check on battery life between charges.I bought the mower and when I returned to pick it up, Nik explained the features and how to make adjustments and other details. He was very knowledeable and thorough.Zech Mckamey, Parts Counter Specialist, was helpful too.This store is very customer friendly and I highly recommend it.

Buchanans Power Equipment is no more as Koenig Equipment recently acquired ownership of this dealership in Lebanon, OH. Unfortunately, Mr. Buchanan had passed away last year.I have already had two negative experiences with the new owner, Koenig Equipment. I contacted them about having two mower blades sharpened. While the lady answering the phone quoted me $7 each (consistent with past dealings at Buchanans), someone else in the background yelled its $9, no $10 each NOW. I can get a brand new set of blades for around $30 that I plan to do the next time. However, the worst situation was on the recent order that I placed through JDParts. I had selected Koenig as my dealer. Afterwards, I received a call from them to confirm my order. I picked the parts up a few days later. Upon returning home, I noticed that I was charged/paid more for the parts than the prices quoted at retail on the JDParts web site.So, this dealer appears to sometimes charge their customers above the John Deere retail prices. I sent an email reply to the Koenig-Lebanon dealer location asking about the upcharge. I also completed a survey on the Koenig Equipment web site. Both of my inquiries were never acknowleged by them. While it was my intent to patronize my local hometown dealer, the ownership here in Lebanon, OH is no longer locally based. Ive since taken my business further away up to the JD Equipment Co. in Wilmington, OH and Ive since been pleased. I hope to give this Koenig Equipment location another chance much later someday down the road. Perhaps they might learn how to treat their customers properly rather than price-gouging them.
