Had transmission issues for months and other shops could not fix it. Brought my car to eagle transmissions and they fixed the problem in a very timely manner. They do honest and fair work and I would highly recommend taking your car here. Everyone was very friendly as well.
Little pricey but well worth the money.Their service here is amazing.Had my Ford Transit transmission rebuilt and it drives like new.Customer service is great. The waiting area could use an update but does not take away from their work.Great Job and I will be back whenever I have my next transmission fiasco.
I recently took my 2013 Kia Soul to have checked as my check engine light came on. I forgot the gentlemans name at the time, but he got me in quickly and provided the details on the issue of my transmission throughout the day. They gave me a fair price and proper estimated time of repairs. Carrie was great as well on helping me finalize everything and making sure my car was completed on time.
Carrie is a great addition to the team! I cant say enough good things about how she handled my car repair. She stayed in contact with me to let me know the status of the repair, she dug deeper to find out the cause of the issue and she made sure I knew what the repair would cost prior to spending any money. I would absolutely recommend Eagle to anyone with repair needs. I am confident in the repair and thankful for such amazing service!
Ernie is a great guy, always willing to help out the customer whenever possible.
I recently ( 2 weeks ago) took my classic 57 Bel-Air coupe for transmission issues. I noticed some bad transmission fluid leakeage on my gagrage floor. I took it in for service and I can honestly say the work done on the vehicle is 100% to my satisfaction. NOT only did the service done on the vehicle was outstanding, but the lady at the front desk provided superb customer service. She gave me a call at the end of the day to let me know they needed to keep the car in the shop (lock down) for further inspection. I highly reccomend EAGLE transmission if you are having issues with your ransmission. Class place, class people.....
I had my transmission rebuilt at Eagle Transmission in Lewisville on Mill Street . I drive a 2006 Dodge Ram with 280,000 miles on it now. The rebuild was great and I got a 3 year 60,000 mile warranty. I have been back for regular maintenance service on the transmission every year since the rebuild and everything is just fine with the transmission . Ernie was the original person who took care of my truck and he was professional, informative, and honest. My last visit to this shop I communicated with Carrie and she was super as well. My truck was serviced in a timely manner and the work was done correctly and the price was reasonable. Carrie was a pleasure to deal with and kept me informed. This shop is definitely 5 star and I would recommend it to anyone!Rick S.
I cant say enough good things about Eagle Transmission Lewisville. On Memorial Day weekend, two of our vehicles broke down. My daughters was towed to Eagle on recommendation from another shop that does not do transmission work and mine was towed to a shop on the south side of the metroplex. Eagle took amazing care of my daughter - walked her though every step, explained everything and gave her a quote to fix the issues that was reasonable. Carrie went above and beyond - even taking my daughter home on her own time, providing after hours service and patiently answering questions. My daughter was so nervous after having a break down on the freeway and Carrie was able to calm her down and help her. So much so that when the shop down south could not get the part for mine, I had it towed to Eagle in Lewisville. Carrie provided the same great service to me - getting on the phone with the other shop, helping set up the tow service I needed which was not standard, getting the parts in quickly, having the service done quickly and meeting me on her day off so I could pick up my car. The price was reasonable and both repairs have a generous warrenty. These folks have gone above and beyond for my family. Carrie is a rock star! The folks at Eagle will totally take care of you!
Amazing mechanics and great customer satisfaction and service. They figure out what the real issue is unlike many other shops that just want to replace as many things as they can bill you for. They offer the best price and do good work and warranty the work for the terms they specify for the job. My AC system for example was warranty for free after getting it repaired for 3 years. Christian company I would highly recommend. I have saved thousands of dollars using this shop.
BEWARE! Went here for simple transmission and 4x4 service. Staff was rude to begin with along with owner when I went to actually drop off my suburban. Told me a price that was $100 higher than the Chevy dealership, which is beyond me. When I called the lady at the front out on it she just said they have to estimate higher “just in case”. Place is a scam, you are better off going to the stealership than deal with this eagle transmission franchised store. I almost think they messed with my transmission even because it has never ran hot on my temp gauge and since bringing it there it now runs hot… I am sure the owner will comment with some explanation as to how I am wrong.
Carrie Cross was very nice and seems to care about customers. She explained every repair in detail. They give free road tests on vehicles. Pending what Nissan Corp. says as to my transmission issue Id have Eagle Transmission service it.
If a sloppy joe was a person, it’d be this guy. You want a burger, you have a better chance getting one from him than an actual vehicle repair
I used eagle when I initially had an issue with my transmission. They did not try to get more out of me than what was necessary. They were honest, upfront, and courteous. Their communication went above and beyond. Thankful to have such a reputable and local company around.
5 stars for the burgers. 0 stars for the car repairs
Hey, if you’re needing a transmission repair. Look no further, my father and I recently got our car worked on and it couldn’t have came out any better. The staff was very helpful and friendly, and explained everything in depth. We never felt clueless nor a step behind. Ernie and his team work hard and it shows. Couldn’t have been more proud of how our car performs after leaving their shop. Thank you Ernie and the Eagle Transmission team. God Bless.
Ernie and his team spent time working through hard to pinpoint issues with my 2003 Landcruiser. They were very courteous and professional and kept me up to speed throughout the process. Highly recommend!
Love it good work van run good the people nice and we love Lewis
Ernie and team did an amazing job with my old 2005 Ford Expedition! The truck is running great and I have the confidence of a 3-year, 36,000 mile warranty on my transmission. I dropped my truck off on Friday morning and they had the transmission rebuilt, the rear engine seal replaced, and the truck ready to go by Monday afternoon. Fast, cost-effective, and trustworthy. I will be back!
The shop is excellent in every way. I felt comfortable and at ease when totals were told to me. They went out if their way to keep me within my budget and didnt mind answering any if my questions. The work was done efficiently and in one day. Completely satisfied
Nice people, nice place.
Paid almost $5,000 for a complete transmission rebuild on a 2002 Jaguar. Never worked right when picked it up. Took back after driving it less than 25 miles. Transmission kept going into default mode and stuck in fourth gear always. Dangerous. When returned asked them to place priority on it since a return for job not done right. They didn’t. Two full weeks more and tons of lies later I got car back. Then at end they bragged about not charging me more money. Unreal. They were beligernt too.
I would never ever take another one of my cars to this location ever and I will tell everyone that I know to do the same
This shop is amazing!! As a female in a new town is always hard to find a trustworthy mechanic and Ive found one i will refer anyone to. I called before 8 AM to see if i could get my car fixed that day. Due to an unfortunate check engine light at 730 AM and a trip planned for that day. Ernie (the owner) answered right away and told me he could get it fixed up no problem. He did just that and more. I dropped my car off and got a call within an hour that he was trying to see if the problem could be fixed under warranty. That means, he took the time to call a dealership, tell them the problem and see if it would be covered under warranty. The shear fact that he took time to see if my car could be fixed for free makes him the best mechanic in my book. The part needed isnt included in the warranty and Ernie called me back to tell me the cost of everything before doing anything else. I agreed and he had my car fixed before 1pm. I was able to get on the road earlier than expected and had ZERO problems! Please please please go see Ernie, he will get you taken care of!!
Many issues with my husbands truck. One being the dust shields to the transmission continuously left off. They dont know how to tighten oil pan screws correctly. Just a horrible experience.
Firstly Im stating the location of the shop is in Lewisville on main St. The owner has a habit of responding claiming the negative reviews were in fact not his shop i can assure you they likely are. Ever since getting absolutely ripped off at the transmission shop i knew that the business was a joke. But now Im even more astonished to find that your impressively inept mechanics did not even return all the pieces of my now ruined car to me. Look it may be a trash vehicle but its my property. I expect to get everything returned. The unprofessional unorganized behavior of this shop is quite astonishing especially as it has a fair amount of good reviews. Dont go here. Dont waste your money. Find another shop.
Excellent service. Dropped my car off in the morning and my issues were resolved the same day. Definitely going back there again. Highly recommended.
10 out of 10 on customer service !!!! Carrie is amazing!
Did a Awesome job will definitely recommend this guys friendly and affordable
Ernie was a life saver! Saved me $2000 after the dealership told me I needed a new transmission. Turned out to be a clogged exhaust!Ernie was professional, communicated well and made the repairs quickly!
I went to them for a 2nd opinion after a local Ford dealership quoted me thousands of dollars for repairs to my 2011 Edge with 125k miles, I was even prepared to buy a brand new 2018 Edge from them but they said the cost to repair my car would a lot more than the trade in value, I had already done my research on that along with what a transmission rebuild and/or replacement would be so I immediately called Eagle Transmission and drove my car over there the same day, they were able to fix my issues which were nowhere close to what Ford was recommending and saved me almost $7k!!They now have me as a loyal customer and Ill no longer be using the Ford dealership for service related issues nor will I buy any future vehicles from them, I highly recommend that you use Eagle Transmission because Ill be referring everyone I know to them 😁
They did an amazing job with the best custimer service! The owner was so sweet and really fought to get us on the road again. I will definitely be returning if i have the need. They went above and beyond. I could not be more satisfied.
Earnie was awesome! He gave us a logical explanation of the problem and provided us with a more reasonable and less expensive fix than the dealer proposed. It actually made sense, unlike the nonsense we were hearing from the dealer.Problem fixed the first time, as well. When we were taking the car to the dealer, we had to keep going back over and over as they had not found the problem.Thank you, Earnie!
I highly recommend this Eagle transmission shop! I originally took my truck into Ernie over at eagle transmission for a problem with my transmission. They were able to diagnose the issue and get me back on the road by the next day. When I picked up the truck I asked if they knew anyone who does general mechanic work as my a/c was acting up. Ernie said they would be happy to take a look and were able to fix it! I have been back to them for several minor repairs on my cars since and have always been pleased with the great service I have received. Thanks!
I took my vehicle in for a transmission harness leak. They fixed it and I picked it up. A few hours later, I started experiencing electrical issues. I took it back and they installed a new computer/electrical system free of charge. The new computer system is telling the vehicle to new new things and my vehicle is now running like new!!! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!!- This review is written on behalf of William “BOOM” Freeman .
I brought my truck in with a serious transmission issue, there was a vibration and a visible crack in the housing. They did all the work including replacing the cracked housing at a very reasonable price and it has been solid since then. They even do more than just transmissions! My daughters car needed the radiator replaced and they did the work quickly and affordably. Great service and I never felt they were trying to mislead me in any way. I will definitely bring my repair business back to this shop!
It was the worst experience I have ever had with as auto shop. The free inspection cost $571. The free tow cost $100 cash would not take debit card cash only. The manger Frank would not give any straight forward info. He expected me to basically give him a blank check to work on my car. He told me that it would cost me up to $3300. And the tech there told me he could replace my entire transmission for under $2000. The whole thing was very shady. This is the type pic thing that gives good mechanics a bad reputation.
I usually leave auto repair shops feeling like I just got mugged. Eagle Transmission is DEFINITELY an exception. Its never fun having to get your transmission partially replaced, but Ernie is the most honest and straightforward man Ive ever had the pleasure of doing business with. I will admit, it did take longer than I thought to get the job finished, but the work was absolutely phenomenal, with a 3-year, 36,000 mile warranty to boot. In all actuality, I considered writing a thank you card. Id give them 6 stars if I could.(follow-up)Less than 24 hours after my transmission overhaul, I was severely rear-ended. I immediately called Ernie and told him I was just in a wreck, and, to my delight, he was just as concerned about my vehicle and its recently rebuilt transmission as I was. I had it towed to his shop where the damage was assessed, and, although none of the work could be done at Eagle, Ernie proved very resourceful in finding the cheapest and best repair around and even took it upon himself to get my car to the repair shop and further negotiate pricing on my behalf. I can not say enough about his competence and courtesy. All hes missing is a cape. Thanks, Ernie!
Great customer service. Had my 2001 Dodge Ram 2500 diesel transmission rebuilt. The truck had 230,000 miles. They did a outstanding job. The price was fair. They took the time to do it right with better parts than Huffines. They keep me in the loop and explained everything in detail on what they did. They did it right and was a quick turnover. The truck runs better than ever. Feels like a brand new truck now. Im very happy with the work they did and felt good about the price and quality of work. I have three vehicles and will definitely use the again if needed. Outstanding and great experience with them.
Ernie was very sweet and very fun to talk to entertaining he went out of his way to make sure my car have the proper Parts driving his personal vehicle to pick up a part at the last minute from the dealership just to ensure the for my safety very nice people I think youll be pleased with the service Ive never given five stars but he is definitely earned my five stars and Ill tell everybody about his shop he also has cars for sale at reasonable rates
Excellent service from Ernie and his team. If you are looking for a trusted team to look after your car look no further. Best customer service ever!!!!
I took my car to a few shops and got a few opinions and estimates. I ended up going with Eagle because the two gentlemen i spoke with were very educated on the transmission in my car. While I got some slightly lower estimates only Eagle was willing to offer a warranty, which to me is worth a few hundred bucks. They asked me to bring the car back after a few weeks did a once over and asked me if I was fully satisfied with the repairs. They treated me with respect and we very upfront with costs and timelines.
Great place for all kinds of auto service. I go here first and they will get it done. Honest repair estimates too. Thank you Eagle for keeping me on the road.
I have had several transmissions repaired or replaced at the Eagle Transmission in Lewisville. The last time was easy and priced reasonably. Each time they have been friendly and honest. Transmission companies get a bad rap because of unscrupulous businesses. Eagle will give you an estimate in writing and stick with it. They warranty their work. Once I had a used transmission put in my old SUV and they noticed my oil needed changing along with a fan belt and included that without additional expense. They are great to deal with.
Do no listen to these lies. My transmission was not going into overdrive, so I called them. They said bring it in so I did. I DROVE it there. They test DROVE it. Said it would be 800 dollars max. Told me it would be 3 days. I called them in 4 days and they said oh nobody called you? Its gonna be 2300. The transmission is toast. I said how I drove it there. They said I could come get it, my transmission would be in a box with all the parts. They screw you and strong arm you. Dont take your car to these liars. And those other comments are probably from friends or family members lying to save this place!
Professional, Friendly, and Efficient. They truly seem to care about their customers and keeping their cars on the road.I highly recommend them and their services and if needed will use their services in the future.
Excellent staff! Great experience all around. I have a fleet of 21 vehicles and keeping them on the road is of the upmost importance to keeping my customers taken care of. Eagle transmission has gone above and beyond to keep my trucks on the road. They have been great at communicating what is needed and always give a reasonable window of when to expect the work to me completed. They also stand behind their work! Good companies are hard to find these days and I highly recommend Eagle Transmission!
Excellent service. In my opinion, a honest repair shop. Ernie is the best.
Great place. Honest. Better prices
Updated.10-15-20 my truck has been there 6 times and everytime something new is the problem.ive asked for a refund and told no. They wont me to bring my truck back to look and see if it can be fixed. Sorry but eagle transmission got me 6 times. My truck is worse then it was with transmission out. Got more problems now and would rather get my money back so i can fix it myself. They refused to refund the job thats never been fixed. Transmission is still leaking and missing parts.Took my truck to this place only because the transmission was under warranty. My truck was making a really loud whining sound so I thought it was the transmission. Turned out not to be the transmission. Eagle transmission told me it was the differential. Turned out that they were wrong. They had talked me into pretty much changing out my entire rear end. but my truck ended up sitting there for a week waiting on parts. I am an RV tech I could’ve had the entire rear end pulled out and put back in one evening. Anyways they took too long and I ended up going back to get my truck. I’m glad I did. The only thing wrong with my truck was the pinion bearing on the back differential. save me at least a couple thousand. The pinion bearing cost me $14 compared to changing out the entire rear end for no reason. Terrible judgment on their behalf. Will not be coming back!
These guys do exactly what they say and you get more than you pay for. Couldnt ask for a better Auto Care team.Im a college kid and I dont know much about cars, but Ive learned a lot for the better thanks to these guys. Exceptional service and advice!
Owner is very sketchy. Doesnt quote price and tries to get you to leave the place fast and leave them with your vehicle without any type of paperwork. All the vehicles out front are owned by eagle now that used to be customers that couldnt afford their bills. Owner told me I have a nice truck and said, I might just have to take it from you. Decided to not leave my truck there.
I had the best experience here, with the friendliest staff. My car was consistently overheating and I couldnt drive it more than 10 minutes at at time. I found myself stuck in Lewisville, so I called a few auto shops nearby to ask for diagnostic pricing. Eagle Transmission was the only one that said they would do it for FREE. Pretty great, and the positivity continued. One of the gentlemen up front made me a cup of coffee when I came in. When I dropped the car off, they made sure to stress that they would not begin working on anything until they contacted me first with the final price for approval. They called me within 3 hours with the price, which was much lower than I anticipated, and I picked my car up the next day. Ernie, the owner, and the same gentleman that made me coffee took the time to explain to me exactly what was wrong with my car, what they fixed, and that I could call them with any questions or concerns whenever I wanted. Ernie even said I could call him for generic car issues. Oh, and the car runs great now! They were attentive and great, and I will be coming back to them for future service!
Ernie and Michael at Eagle Transmission and Auto Repair are absolutely wonderful. I was blessed from the moment I talked to them on the phone. Not only did they do complicated repair work (replacing the transmission and the computer inside), but they worked extra hard to get these hard-to-find parts for our family car. Everyone there was kind, thoughtful, and polite. About how many businesses can we say this? Not many! And, when they were done, they gave us a price that was, perhaps, fair to a fault for them. I will continue to go there and to send my friends. Thank you, Lewisville Eagle Transmission, Ernie, Michael, and all your employees!
Eagle Transmission is an amazing great friendly business. They have worked on two of my vehicles, was fast, friendly and affordable.I would recommend this place to anyone. The owner and manager made sure my vehicle got to shop and delivered back to me. First vehicle they made sure I made it to work and back. I wouldnt go to anyone else always here. If you are considering who to go to come here talk to Ernie
Ernie is the best around! I take my 2010 Dodge to him for everything, an if he can’t fix it he does his best to find somebody who’s reputable who will! Don’t trust my truck to anybody else!(2010 Dodge 2500 4x4)
Great service. I got the clutch on my 370Z fixed at Eagle Transmission. great staff. even though they were busy most of the time, Mike and the GM followed up with me and kept me updated. I highly recommend them
I dealt with Ernie, the owner of the shop. My transmission went out a few weeks ago and it was the scariest situation I’ve been through in awhile. Like literally my car stopped working while driving. Thankfully I was able to have my car towed to Eagle Transmission on Friday evening. I did not like the news or the price tag that I faced in repairing my car...but quite honestly that would have been the case no matter where I had my car repaired. The reason for the 5 stars ⭐️??...the owner TRULY CARES. I went to a level of crazy stalker and called him everyday and every time he answered the phone he treated me with respect and helped me understand. I don’t think that my car would have been repaired for less anywhere else and I am so grateful that I was able to meet Ernie and recommend this shop of you have transmission repair needs.
ZERO STARS! TERRIBLE!!!! They dented my vehicle and scratched the bed liner. Inside and outside the truck bed! Meaning they were using my truck to haul things. Heavy things like transmissions - which they Dropped in there. The transmission is under the truck, thats where they should have been working! No Excuses for using my truck, a customers truck, to haul things! Once when they had my truck, Ernie complained to Me that it broke down on him at 35E and Walnut Hill due to the transmission They Were Supposed To Be Fixing. The Eagle shop is in Lewisille, TX. What were they doing driving my truck in Dallas??The owner, Mike, met me up at the Collision center and saw for himself the damage they did. He said they would cover the damages. When I was able to take my vehicle in to get fixed the story changed and they said they wouldnt cover it since to them it had been too long; as if their putting dents in my vehicle expired and the dents were no longer there. Nope. Still there! Nothing has changed on the vehicle. Same dents. Same scratches. As I told them, they are welcome to take another look at it - its the same as it was when I picked it up from them, same dents. Also, I dont know about you, but I dont often have the opportunity to put my vehicle in the shop for a week+ for damage someone else caused and not be able to drive anywhere. I called them when I was first able to be without a car. Going out of town was the only opportunity. Otherwise I have to drive to work like most people. The manager Ernie just kept lying and putting me off for a month when I asked to speak with the owner, Mike, from the beginning. Im not the only one who I know who has had these bad experiences. Ask your friends. I am surprised these people are still in business.Update: They said they would fix it if I took down this review. Which I did. Ernie just kept lying. Said the claim was closed. It was never opened. Said no one drove the truck, but it had miles and miles and dents. Said he would forward the email to Mike for him to handle, then responded a month later as if he was Mike - who didnt have access to the email before??? Said he was, Buying the business from Mike and would personally take care of it. Must be a pipe dream because he forgot he told me this one before. Dont buy it.Note that the entire time Ernie said he had no knowledge of it, and he did not see the dents - Mike did. When I stopped by recently to have them look at it, Ernie, who had denied it the whole time, then said the dents werent from them. How can someone who never saw the damage judge it? How about with the pictures that were sent originally? Then after meeting recently (which was terribly uncomfortable being in the presence of someone who lied, denied, faked nice, then lied some more) Ernie said they would cover the repair - which they should since its their fault, but then turned around Again and did not. Dents are still there. All lies and terrible all around. Wish I could go back in time and never have dealt with them to begin with. They dont want negative reviews or to be held responsible for their actions, but people should know the truth, thats why we have this forum to share our experiences.
Mike and his crew did a great job fixing up our transmission with a nice cooler. Now we can confidently tow our travel trailer without worrying about over heating the transmission. Mike was very friendly, gave us a ride home while they worked on the car, and even sent me a picture of the progress. I would definitely recommend Mike and Eagle transmission to my friends and family.
The service here was awesome!! We have been taking our cars here for years and with 3 teens all driving at the same time, and with a husband who likes to rebuild cars, Eagle has worked to accommodate our schedules and produced successful results on every occasion ... we will definitely continue to use them for our car repair needs.
An excellent experience which is not my norm when getting my car repaired. They were friendly, efficient, and honest and warrantied their work. Couldnt ask for a better outcome.
Excellent work and great value from a top team. Along with honesty, integrity and Excellent Service on any vehicle. Ernie Ling took great care in explaining thing to me
Carrie is just great to work with
This is a great shop!Ernie is a stand up guy and gets the job done.Quality work and a fair price.
Excellent service and follow-up. Ernie is the best. They went above and beyond my expectations.
Great place to go for a flush and fill.I was denied a flush and fill from Goodyear,Firestone, and multiple other big money service shops in the immediate area. I had just gotten my truck and it was sitting at 85k and was only 2 years old but NO ONE would touch it.Not only did Eagle transmission do the flush and fill but they didnt even ask how many miles. some people see that as an issue but lets be honest, transmissions and fluid dont break down like they use to.The only possible fix they could do at this location is the following:Update the customer more- I was told they would do a test drive and let me know if there are any issues before doing the work. I called a couple times nervously throughout the day because I thought something was wrong but they were just waiting to get it in a bay.Overall, I am happy.
Wonderful experience. If your looking for quality, quick, fair priced service eagle is the place to go.
Eagle Transmission of Lewisville was a great experience. Ernie, the owner was so gracious and helpful to us when we had 2 cars down at one time. It was a mess, but he helped get the cars fixed and back to us in a matter of a day because he knew we were stuck. I appreciate people like Ernie and his staff that come through in a pinch in the time of need. I highly recommend them!
The service was amazing. Great prices, good warranty 3/36K. Friendly atmosphere, responsive & kept me up to date on the progress. Gave me a veterans Discount on top of it all!
Very friendly but they started working on my vehicle July 26th and I have had to take it back several (four) times. They still have the vehicle and have had it this time for over two weeks. I have to call to check on it and each time I call, I am told to call back the next day to see if its ready. I had heard good things about this place but the service did not match up. Im hoping to get this situation resolved soon.Update: Shortly after this review, I was contacted by Eagle. My vehicle was fixed within a few days. It is now running well. I appreciate that there was an issue and they took care of it.
Should have taken the parts off of my truck before they did. Working parts were removed and I was told that they were broken and thrown away. Shops are supposed to give you your parts back - broken or not. Spoke to another customer and the same happened to her. They take working parts from your car and put them on other peoples. It also took them one month to fix it. When I got it back, it was leaking and not working properly. Brought it back and they said they didnt touch the lines, so its not their fault it was leaking. They are the only ones who ever worked on the transmission/lines. Transmission kept overheating and giving the Transmission Malfunction indicator - which it never did before they got their hands on it. Brought it back several times and they said they didnt have time to fix it. Finally they took it in, for another month. When I got it back there was trash in it, and dents which they denied. Transmission still does not work properly. They shorted out the sensor that was giving the Transmission Malfunction indicator so the light wouldnt come on, but never resolved the issue. Worst shop ever.
They stay busy for a reason and he will make sure you are happy with their work, 👍👍
I took my 2005 Nissan Pathfinder in for transmission failure. Ernie made it clear what and how they would diagnose the issue. After a few days I received a call indicating that they would require further diagnosis as well as what they where thinking it may be. After staying in communication with me over the next week the issue was determined and we ultimately chose an overhaul.I picked up my vehicle on on 2/10/16 and have had no issues in over two weeks of driving. I would definitely recommend this business.
Eagle Transmission does a wonderful job. I take my truck here whenever I have an issue. They do great work and I trust them with my truck. I moved away for the Lewisville area to Fort Worth and I will still drive pass many other shops to have these guys do the job right.
Highly recommend Eagle Transmission. We had to replace a CVT transmission on a Subaru Outback. It did not go smoothly, but not Eagles fault as in the end it appeared the new transmission had a defect. Ernie listened to our issues despite the local Subaru dealership head technician personally looking at it and insisting that it was 100% fine. Other shops would have called it quits saying even your manufacturer dealership says it is fine but Ernie stayed on it until eventually the transmission was replaced a 2nd time and this time it worked perfectly.
Fair and honest. To the point. Great guy. Will go back for more. Thanks
Competitive prices coupled with great customer service. Really listen to customers . Highly recommend.
I had a very good experience with the repair of my vehicle.
If I could give Eagle Transmission 10 stars I would. Ernie is a honest and genuine business man would delivered on his promise. I would recommend to all and will be utilizing in the future.
I drive 12 miles, past a dozen other repair shops, to get to Eagle Transmission in Lewisville. The guys there are just honest and competent -- the only two things Im looking for in auto repair. They do the job right and they do it for a fair price. I really like that they communicate well with me, letting me know whats going on and if my car will be ready early, on time, or a little late, and why. They rebuilt my transmission last year and replaced my engine last month, and everything has been done right. My 2001 Durango runs like new.
I would not refer these people to anyone. They had my car since Tuesday early morning. It is now Friday and I have no answer about anything other than the car has problems. Well duh thats why its in the shop! Taking it to The Transmission Shop in Lewisville to get clear answers. Waste of time and energy.
Did a great job on my transmission! Ernie is very nice to work with and the mechanics are top notch!
I am very pleased with the way they repaired my transmission. Excellent experience and courteous people there.
Fair and great on getting the job done and finding the issues in your car and exeptional customer service
I couldnt possibly say enough good about the folks at Eagle Transmission in Lewisville, We were financially strapped and had both vehicles transmissions go out at almost the same time. I was referred to them by a good friend and told they would treat me right. They provided us with a loaner while they worked on both of our vehicles. They were completely honest and worked to get our cost down as much as possible but even then the work they did was top quality. Everywhere else provided us quotes of 2-3 times as much. Its people like this you keep on your short list of contacts. We have since become friends and I would recommend them to everyone.
Great service. Honest people. Fair prices.
Eagle Transmission does a good job. They do great work. Highly recommended to all!!
In my 43 years of life I never had the most awful experience dealing with a auto repair company. We took our van to have it assessedAnd we clearly told the operator /managerThat we wanted to see the cost of repairsHe told us that before we could give us a detailPrice he needed 450 dollars to get the transmission down and look at the issue,After calling multiple times and hearingRange of prices we ask him to put the transmission back and we would pay him for. The inspection, he came back telling us we needed to pay him another 450 to put the transmission back on ththe car, which he never told us, or he could gladly put the disassembled transmission in the trunk..Then th next day my wife went to pay him and he pulled a invoice we owed him 3,000 for repairs which we never authorized and that he had estimated, again the transmission is still disassembled and he hadn’t repaired anything yet..My wife had to call the police, which showed up and ask him to release the car to usWhen she was going to pay he refused to take a check or credit card so she had to go to the atm, and when she came back he told her he didn’t have Change!!!,...total scamIf you plan getting screws welcome ...We had to pay a towing company to get the carAnd take somewhere else the other mechanic was shocked when he saw the parts in boxesHe told me there no need to completely disassemble a transmission before assessing what’s wrong.. so that way you know what needs to be repaired!!!
Erine and Casey took great care of me, including giving me a ride to work and to a rentral car place where they gave me a discount as an Eagle customer. Ernie rebuilt my transmission for less than a new one would have cost. I will be back for regular service.
I have brought my PT Cruiser twice to Eagle Transmission and have received excellent service both times I have been there. This last trip has proved these guys are looking out for you. Before coming in another mechanic who was doing my state inspection had notice my check engine light was not coming on when the car first started. He had offered to fix it but his shop could not because of the way my dashboard was cracked. So, I took it to Eagle Transmission because I also needed to get my A/C fixed. When Eagle Transmission took a look at my car they found out that someone had put electrical tape over my check engine light. I guess the prior owner had taken it to some shady mechanics before selling it off. We also found out about the unreported front end damage that did not show up on either CarFax of AutoCheck report that was causing my A/C to fail.Because of the age of the car we had quite of few things that needed to be replaced. Eagle Transmission doesnt hunt for problems but if there is a major problem that could cause serious damage down the line they will let you know. After my vehicle was fixed they even washed my car and vacuumed! Talk about excellent customer service! They kept us updated on on the repairs on my car. Even when we called almost every day they were nothing but kind and courteous to both my fiance and I. The cost of the repairs were not outrageous, what they quote on repairs stays about the same when you pay, and I feel confident my car will last me another couple of years!
No problem, fair price. Ernie knows what hes doing.
Ernie and his team have done nothing short of excellent work at a fair price on 2 vehicles for me. I highly recommend using eagle transmission.
Just a simple review on the services that I received at Eagle Transmission on Mill Street in Lewisville TX.My Jeep Cherokees transmission was not working as it should and after searching for reviews on transmission rebuilds, I chose Eagle Transmission.Ernie, the manager, recommended a transmission rebuild (around Feb/Mar 2015). The quote was a little higher than expected since Ive had numerous transmissions rebuilt and have some idea of the cost, but it was in the ballpark. It took 6 weeks for the rebuild to be done. My frequent calls to the manager for updates were met with Ill call you back shortly which he rarely did. After picking up my vehicle, I noticed a significant transmission fluid leak that same day. I took it back for further repairs. That took another week. After the repairs, my transmission shifted rather violently. Manager claimed it was normal and to let it break in. Roughly 6 months later, my transmission started spewing fluid and leaking down on my exhaust system causing massive smoke. Took it back for warranty repair. On a positive note, they did honor their warranty, but did not even offer to explain what had happened and what needed the repair. In addition, while performing the warranty repair, they recommended replacing the seal between the transfer case and transmission. I said ok (bad choice). After a few months, I noticed a grinding sound beneath the jeep. I took it to a reputable repair shop and he found that the transfer case was dry and the chain and gears had been grinding into the case itself. Needed to replace the entire transfer case. Im not claiming Eagle left it dry, but they did replace the seal. After my experience there, I would never take any vehicle to Eagle transmission. If Eagle wishes to refute my experience by stating they cannot find any mention of me in their records, I will happily provide receipts for the work done.
Recently, I was driving My 05 Z71 Tahoe.. I had stopped at a red light and upon the light turning green, I proceeded to accelerate and Nothing.. My vehicle just Revved.. but wouldn’t move. It was like I was in neutral.. But the gear shifter was in drive..I had my vehicle towed to Eagle Transmission because I was referred to this shop... Big Mistake.. The Manager, Ernie, explained to me there was NO Fee to Diagnose prior to having my Tahoe Towed to this shop. The next day I visited Eagle Trans. to discuss with Ernie the Specifics regarding what was wrong with my vehicle. Ernie told me they had used a ScanTool In an Attempt to see if any Codes were registering In regards to the 4WD.. He explained that the vehicle was registering 3 Codes in regards to the 4WD.. but that the Transfer Case would need to be removed from the vehicle and broken down to diagnoses and identify the repair that needed to be made.. Which would be a separate charge.. Ernie said overall the cost would be $900-$1700..To repair my vehicle. At this point, I asked Ernie which codes were registering with my vehicle.. He produced an Invoice Document and quickly listed off Codes CO327, CO379, BO790.. Then quickly flipped the Invoice Document over and proceeded to reiterate that the vehicle needed the transfer case removed and broken down to diagnosis the problem..I Politely asked if I could see the Invoice Document so that I may review the codes and the descriptions of the codes. I then took a picture of the Invoice Document and told Ernie that I would need to do some research and I would be back in touch with Eagle Trans. by the next day to inform him what I was going to do in regards to the repair..At this point.. Ernie’s tone and demeanor changed..He said okay but I Need you to Sign this Invoice Document giving authorization to have your vehicle on the Shops Lift.. I looked at the Invoice Document where he said to sign.. and IT Stated.. Work Authorization.. I said Ernie.. I’M NOT giving authorization to have my vehicle worked on at this time.. He tried to convince me to sign a few more times.. Then Ernie surprised me by stating Eagle Trans. Did Not want to work on my vehicle and asked me to take my Vehicle with me..I Did take my vehicle with me and took it to Blanco’s Transmission in Lewisville, Tx.. After the owner, Edgar, did his own diagnosis on my vehicle.. Edgar stated.. My vehicle needed a new Transfer Case Encoder Motor.. IT Did Not Need the Transfer Case Removed or any of the other lists of things Eagle Trans. told me was needed to repair my vehicle...My Total Cost at Blancos Transmission was $225.00 out the door. Not only was Edgar honest and fair about what was wrong with my vehicle and what repair was needed.. He educated me on the components surrounding my 4WD, among other things. For that I’m grateful..Justin Graddy
Horrible experience and would not recommend if to anyone! Not only did they do the work on our transmission with out husband giving to ok, they replaced parts that we know were not bad since they were just put on. FINALLY after getting the car out it dies, we replace battery and still will not start. My car is dead in the middle of the road when we just paid little over 3000 to get it fixed!!!! Ridiculous!
My 2005 Nissan Xterra had a manufacture defect that caused the radiator to leak into my transmission. Transmission was destroyed due to Nissan in-competence. Had no choice but to fix my SUV trans. Looked up Eagle Transmission in Lewisville, brought it to ERNIE he diagnosed the problem fast. My transmission was overhauled with new parts. Ernie gave me a 3 year warranty or 36000 miles on his work with the transmission guaranteed. peace of mind.
Good guy, Ernie will take care of you.
Had a transmission fluid all over drive way 3 days after it was rebuilt brought the receipt they said they just didnt clean it also didnt sign the receipt so Im out of the warranty and now 6 months later all sorts of transmission problems everything is leaking on my 2001 jeep wrangler
Friendly, reasonable prices, excellent service!
I have had experience with many mechanics over the years and have many horrible stories. This shop is an exception to any Ive ever encountered. They CARE about your business and they SHOW it with incredible service. It all starts at the top and the owner, Mike, really makes it a point to get to know you, what brings you in, how to help, and they fix the problem. Why is that such a big deal? One word: Honesty This is one of the rare shops you can trust to diagnose your problem and be honest about what its going to cost to fix it. My son and I both had separate problems with two different vehicles. My son was told by another shop it would cost at least $2200 to fix and he may need a new engine. (Really? I doubted it from the beginning and asked him to get a second opinion.) He called Mike and they towed it to their shop. When it was all finished--it was a $400 fix. No new engine needed.I brought my Jeep in for the air conditioning. I had taken it to another shop and the guy put dye in it, told me to drive it around for a week and come back so they could see where it was leaking. It cost me $200. He told me it would range from $1200-1700 to fix it. After my sons experience, I took it to Eagle Transmission. Within a couple of hours, they put dye in it (Again), recharged it, found the leak, and advised it was a very common issue. Total cost: $289.When I had called back to see when it would be ready, Mike apologized I had to call him. Really. When was the last time a business apologized to YOU for not calling you back? I bet its been a long time, if ever. Today, he followed up to make sure everything was okay. Guess what? Its more than okay. I will take my car to this shop for anything and everything I need. The people who work there, take pride in their work. They are happy and helpful. The best thing is, I know these guys are being honest with us and that is a very, very rare thing these days. I wish everyone followed the lead on the way they run their business. Its incredible.
