My wife and I were craving some steaks and decided to try Happy Butcher. There is a really good selection of meats and I ended up getting two ribeyes with Happy Butchers own seasoning. It was absolutely incredible and definitely one of the best steaks Ive ever had. They have definitely made me a returning customer.
Ed was so helpful and customized my order. Everything is so delicious and even though I’m not an expert, I can see and taste a difference with the quality of meat. Great service and have recommended him to multiple people. Wish I had known about him sooner!
Best Butcher shop in town with the finest quality meat!
Ive been going there every week for over three years. Once I discovered it I quit going to Fresh Market for my meat. His is truly aged (wet and dry) if you want. The taste is unmatched. The conversation isnt bad either. He remembered my name after a couple times going. Who does that anymore? The only steak Ive ever had that was better is from Ruth Chriss and thats probably because I didnt cook it.
BEST Piedmont STEAK in Columbia!!
Ed had been cutting steaks for my family for 19 years, better than you can get in any restaurant. The Master Burgers are the best burger youll ever eat. We are blessed to have him in Lexington!
Theres a steak for a Tuesday night, estate for when your mother-in-law Comes To Town and then theres a steak for when your daughter gets engaged. Youll find that last one at the Happy Butcher. Piedmontese and wagyu beef available
The piedmontese filets are absolutely amazing. I highly recommend buying some if you love lean meat that also has great flavor. I believe Happy Butcher is the only place in Lexington where you can purchase it. There are also a variety of other cuts available, especially around holidays. I really enjoy buying quality meat here for special occasions as its definitely a treat for our out of town family members. Prepare to spend your money, but its worth it in my opinion!
Best beef in town. Steaks are great, tender and tasty. Old fashioned butcher who ages his own beef. Called ahead and Ed had everything vacuum sealed and ready to go. Great Service.
Top Quality Steaks-All Natural Dry Aged USDA Prime. My go to place when company comes. Just tried the healthy lean Piedmontese Beef. Company said best steak they ever tasted!
You pay for quality, and this is the best beef I have ever eaten. The aged porterhouse melts in your mouth, and the Master Burgers were incredible. The Happy Butcher will tell you how to cook the product if you are in doubt. I bought a selection for my husbands birthday as a treat. But Im spoiled now and I dont think I could ever buy supermarket beef again.
I have bought a lot of top steaks but none are as good as EDS are. These steaks will melt in your mouth so dont skimp on perfection with a cheaper cut somewhere else.
Mmmmm oh my gosh! Mmmmh hang on, I’m still chewing. Wow, I mean I’m so confused about so much right now with this Masters burger! #1 how did they get so much flavor in a hamburger!? #2 I’m seriously questioning my friends who live in Lexington and never told me about this place!! I’m about to go back now and try the wagyu steak! I will add photos later 😁
The Happy Butcher is our go-to for special occasions and every day dinners. The owner, Ed, is very helpful and always takes the time to explain to me the different cuts of meat and the best way to prepare it.
Absolute best butcher in town. you cant go wrong with a single thing. all prime or piedmontese aged beef. Just hands down the best. I drive all the wya from Irmo to shop here.
The Happy Butcher is the best! They have the best selections of meats and the onion sausage is outstanding. Do yourself a favor and go see Ed at the Happy Butcher!!!
THE place to go if the quality of the cut is paramount! This guy knows his stuff and hes...well, happy! I love this place!
Love the quality cuts and tasty beef and pork and chicken! This is the best place around!
I just wanted to say that you lost a potential new customer today. My wife called your store to ask about a price on your bone-in rib eyes, and you refused to answer her. You ranted on about how no one else sells the same grade beef that you do, and its not comparable to a grocery store price, and if she was wanting to compare prices, then you were not interested in doing that. She did tell you after you rude rant, that she was thinking of purchasing some, and you finally gave her a price, along with another rude tone of voice with her. Perhaps you should change the name of your business to something along the lines of The Rude, None of your business Butcher.
Great quality cuts!
