Good website, good service, same high prices on high-end action figures as everyone else. Find a way to offer better prices, and offer discounts for delayed products. (Make the mfr pay the discount for being late!)

My wife and I shop here to find great games to play with our sons. We always find a new card game or board game that we can’t find anywhere else. They’ve got so much more than comic books and everybody is so helpful.

I love browsing their selection of trade paperbacks, and all the graphic novels. Picking up my books they pull for me so I dont miss an issue is great, but them putting what they think Ill like in my pull list is even better. They have yet to disappoint in their recommendations, they nail it every time.

Its an ok place (now) but theyre unfortunately continuing and ongoing trend that a lot of other comic book stores in my area are doing and that is doing away with old stock and replacing the area with either card gaming tables or gaming merchandise or other non relating merchandise. Was kind of made fun of for asking for old stock and told the only time youd see old stock out again was only during special events. Probably wont be going back. Theyre comic book selection has drastically dropped as theyve made room for modern figures and gaming items. Sad. I did really enjoy this store just a few months ago.

If youre in Lima and looking for a cool comic book shop to stop at then look no further than Alter Ego Comics! They have a decent selection of all the new comics out now and current trade releases too. Also if youre in the market for decently priced figures they have a wide selection too spending across both DC and marvel and everything in-between. Friendly staff and killer rewards perks! My only complaint and I get that floor space is an issue, but I wish they had more of there back issues out on the floor. I always loved digging through them when I could. But I know why they dont have them out all the time. Other than that its just an amamzing store filled with an amazing staff and its also beautiful on the inside as well! If youre a fan of comics and in the area make this a stop!

Alter Ego is an amazing store the staff here is very good at what they do and will help you find whatever kind of comic you might be looking for. Great atmosphere and selection. Oh yeah and free comic book day is always a blast, great business in the community. Definitely a business society wants to exist.

This store has a wide range of comics and graphic novels of different genres plus games, collectible figures and other cool things. I was too busy looking at comics to remember what all they have.I like that I was offered help but was then left alone to browse when I said no. I felt welcome to take my time and was so comfortable that I danced along with their music at times. (The loudness of the music was perfect for a store, loud enough to appreciate but not intrusive.)I was a visitor to Lima, but several regular customers came while I was in the shop and it was obvious their needs were known. They got the comics and information they needed quickly and barely needed to ask.Great selection, great staff, and great atmosphere.

Staff is friendly and helpful. I asked about when a new issue of a series might be out. They searched and told me when. They said if I would like they could pre-order the other issues. When they arrive they will be set back to guarantee it will be there. They sell games and other items if you arent into comics. On Thursdays they post on Comic Hub releases they will have the following Wednesday.

Best little big comic book store Ive been to. Staff is always nice, always about the customer and about the community. I would suggest Alter Ego to anyone local and the online for others far away. Support small businesses.

While its the only place in Lima for a wide assortment of comics and general geek paraphernalia, its one of the best! The staff are knowledgeable (normal for comic stores) and friendly (not normal for comic stores). As a woman, Ive gone into comic stores and been either stared at or treated like an idiot. The staff here made me feel valuable, respected, and welcomed. Well done! They also have fun special events fairly often.

Everytime I go in Alter Ego Comics its a magical experience. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and excited about the products they sell. The selection is top notch. The store is clean, well lit and spacious. They have a great variety of comics, toys, collectibles, statues and board games. I make a visit to Alter Ego Comics a weekly shopping trip.

Couldnt sing enough praises about this place if I tried. The staff are always friendly and helpful. They have a great variety of items from various fandoms. Prices are reasonable and its not uncommon for them to have items on sale. They put on events during which they typically give prizes or free items. As a comic nerd I am very happy to have a place like this locally and enjoy visiting whenever I get the chance. Ive even managed to rope my wife into going with me and now shes buying stuff for her own collection.

Gave me recommendations for it being my first time into comics. And had a clean, nice, with good vibes. It has ti be one of the nicest places to go. They also have an entertaining video podcast. Found a few comics on the shkw that I will be picking up in the store.

This is the only place that I know of in the Lima area to buy comics which is ok by me. Been here several times and the staff has always been very polite and knowledgeable. Theyre very community oriented and just good people. The prices are on point and they over a wide selection of comics, board games and toys.

Ordered two sets of collectibles a year ago. Both were pre-orders which were set to come out one and two months later. A few days ago, I received the final item which completed my order. I understand that things happen, dates are pushed back and it is possible to receive these products at a much later date. My issue with this company in particular is the lack of communication. I had emailed multiple times throughout the year only to receive unapologetic replies. I would have preferred to get updates from time to time about my order. Something like, Hey, we havent forgot about your order. There is a delay with the manufacturer and we will continue to keep in touch. However, I received nothing. I wont be ordering from them again. So disappointing.

Preordered the Hot Toys John Wick 1/6 figure when it was first announced for preorder, which of course means therell be a wait. Well, a year passes by. THEN, JW shows up after being shipped FOR FREE three days earlier than expected. Id love to visit this store in person some day, but will be back for more goodies on the website :) If youre looking for a comic or collectible toy dealer, give them a try, I think youll be glad you did :)

Been here twice. Great service both times. Employees actually greet people! Josh there helped me choose card sleeves and dice for my Magic The Gathering Cards. I visited Walmart and Meijer for sleeves/cards previously. Not a huge selection overall and you dont get personal service. Josh was such a great help that I ended up buying $40 worth of sleeves and dice. This gentlemen needs a raise or a tall, cold lager. Heres to Alter Ego & and Josh!
