Uncle Fred is the best in the business! He got my wife in a new car back in July, and was incredible throughout the process then. I knew I would be looking for a truck this fall so I got his card when we got her car. Last Monday, I sent Fred a text of exactly what I was looking for. He had me in signing all of our paperwork for my trade-in and new purchase in just a few hours. He is quick, efficient, witty, and an incredible story teller with endless stories! As long as Fred is in the game, nobody else will ever get my business. The entire staff at John Thornton is fantastic, and have made me a customer for life.

I assume the work was fine, but waiting two and a half hours for a regular service of a fairly new car is not acceptable. My service advisor, Matt, was very nice, but I will not be coming back to the dealership for service. Another customer with two little girls waited just as long. If you cannot provide service in a reasonable amount of time, perhaps you need to make less appointments. Honda used to get me out of there in 45 minutes. I miss my Honda!

Fred Gamble is the man! He helped us get the truck we needed, answered all our questions with accurate information, didn’t pressure us on anything, and worked very hard with the rest of the team to get us in our truck late on a Saturday night! Fantastic employees at a great dealer. Everyone was very kind, professional and diligent. The transparency of costs and the fairest and most accurate prices were welcomed after visiting every Chevy dealer in and around Atlanta. Im not sure if its the service or the workers but I had to have some transmission work done and I was told I would have to wait two to three months for them to even diagnose my vehicle. I thought this was definitely unheard of.During the wait for my vehicle to be diagnose I was told that they could not give me a loaner. I know were in a pandemic but Geesh!!!😳🤦🏼

This was the first time I have ever bought a vehicle on my phone sight unseen. I have to say they made this the easiest most headache free way to purchase a truck. Everyone was great to work with and they made the buying experience probably the best I have ever had. Everything went very smoothly and they even delivered the truck to my house. I had a 9am apt. I was greeted right away. At registration I explained that I had a 11am interview. The service technician explained I would be done way before 11am. While waiting, around 10:30, I received a call from my sons school explaining that I needed to pick him up because he was not feeling well. I then explained the situation to the service center, requested work was completed. I made it to the school to pick up my son, and made the virtual interview. Proud to say that I now have a new position, and my son is well! Thanks for your amazing service 😁.

I definitely would not advise anyone to go to this location. And if I could give this location a negative star rating, I would. I dropped my Chevy Tahoe off at this location after being in a accident. My passenger side was damaged, along with the tire rod and my aftermarket rims. I took my truck here with hopes of Chevy doing an excellent job with my Chevy truck. Needless to say, I ended up getting disappointed. The wrong rim was ordered and no one wants to take responsibility for it. So now I’m stuck with a mismatch rim. And I recently had to purchase new tires in the front because it was uneven wear on the tires. Basically meaning that I needed a alignment. I was told that the body shop did my alignment before my truck was returned to me. To address this matter, I’ve called the body shop numerous times and left voicemails and I haven’t received a response yet. Which is unprofessional and careless. Being that this establishment is supposed to be trustworthy and respected, this situation has been the complete opposite. Will be taking further steps to ensure that my complaints will be addressed on more than this website.

I went there to have my passengers side airbag replaced as per the recall. Staff was very friendly. In the recall mail, it stated your dash may be damaged during the replacement (cracked) but nowhere in the recall material does it identify the party who would be responsible for your dash replacement/repair. It was stated emphatically that GM would not pay to have my dash repaired. If you go for airbag replacement you need to be aware of the caveat!

Went in to look at a used truck at 7:30pm on a Saturday. My family and I was greeted and they allowed us to look at and test drive the trucks we wanted to. No pressure to buy, no pressure to go home. After 1.5 hrs, we bought a truck from them. From start to finish, the transaction was smooth as long as you dont count the fact that the new sales guy told us a 2019 Ram 2500 Cummins mega cab with 9,000 miles fully loaded was $60k out the door. Lucky for him thats not what we were there for.

Went in for LOF and tire rotation and low air pressure in left front tire. They discovered the low air pressure was actually in the left rear tire due to two nails in the left rear tire. Apparently the technician at me last visit for tire rotation forgot to reprogram the tire sensors and was giving the wrong tire problem. Because the tire was not repairable due the location of the nails I had to purchase 4 new tires and a front end alignment. Other than that, all came out OK.

It was a blessing to get in especially on a Friday. I had been calling around to several dealerships to get a service repair done and everyone was booked and didnt have anyloaner cars either. I received a call I believe it was last Tuesday and the appointment was scheduled for that same week Friday. I had a 8am appointment and was done before lunch time. The service from check -in to my shuttle driver was A-1. Yes, I bought a used Dodge journey from John Thornton the end of July. I had an issue with transmission it went out. They treated me very well put me in a loaner until my vehicle was done. And also refused to let the dealer which was another company due to it being a Dodge to put in a used one. They told them to put a oem one in that was refurbed not used. My sales lady Veronica was awesome along with Derek as well.

Entire process was disorganized and financing manager was less than helpful. He wanted me to sign up for a $2500 warranty without even explaining what the warranty included. Literally told me that there was no brochure or anything he could give me to explain the warranty that I was being pressured to pay for. Then got rude when I demanded some type of documentation prior to purchasing. Delphino was great and the only positive part of our experience.

Dont come here!!!! We bought a truck before it was delivered to the dealership. We were lied to several times and threatened that if we did not sign the paperwork they would sell the truck when it arrived. We did as we were told since there is such a high demand for trucks. The truck was suppose to arrive on the 10th and did not until days later. My husband had to make a special trip to get it. He had never seen or drove this truck, my husband drove off the lot and stopped 20 miles down the road. The truck is not want he wanted so he called and asked to bring it back and pickup his trade in. He was told it was his problem and if he wanted to bring it back they would pay him for a used vehicle at blue book value. I recommend choosing another dealership, they DO NOT care about their customers only sales. If you do purchase here be cautious and watch your back!!!!

My appointment was at 10:30am, I totally forgot about it..I was called and was asked if I still wanted to show up and I said that totally forgot, the lady said it’s ok you can still show up today as long as you come before 4pm.. I said ok I’ll show up before that time .. she said great see you soon. I show up at 2pm .. As I was waiting for my oil change.. I started wondering why it was taking too long a oil change shouldn’t take no more then 30 minutes. I believe it was like 3:30 when I asked about my service. The gentleman told me, that it wasn’t just and oil change that they had to check everything in the truck to make sure everything was working properly. I was like really ! No one told me nothing.. I was panicking couse I had to be some place at 4pm…. It was 2 minutes to 4 pm when I see my truck coming out.. if I would of known it was going to take 2 hours or more to get serviced . I won’t of come .. never never ever would I recommend someone to this place or come back my self again .If it’s going to take that long., I usually get my oil changed within 30 minutes or less.. but this experienced was just stupid and unimaginable, very bad.

Im hoping to provide a better rating once all is said and done. I had an appointment to bring car in on Thursday at 8am. I dropped car off and had not heard anything by late Friday afternoon I called service dept and was told they will look at it Monday or Tuesday... I called again on Monday for an update and no one still has even diagnosed my car. This is costing me extra rental car expenses while still having no idea of repair cost or ETA...So what was the point of the 8am thursday appointment if no one has even looked at it yet as of Monday? Not satisfied at all so far. I would have given 2 stars if they would have at least called me and informed me of the delay but I have called them twice only to find out car has just been sitting no diagnostics or work. John Thornton Chevrolet clearly is not interested in valuing my time or money.*update* Received call on Wednesday alternator needs to be replaced $1096 parts and labor...That is what I waited almost a week to hear? Told Service rep not to repair and had car towed back home. I went to AutoZone bought an alternator for $280 and put it on myself (watched youtube and had friend help me out). Few days later had issues again this time power steering locked up. I found GM warranty bulletin 15356 took it to a different Chevy Dealer who will fix and most likely will get my business when I buy new car soon.

I tried to get a quote from this dealership through their Internet Sales Representative. I have 15 emails from a back and forth of them not willing to give me a quote until they could call me. The representative said they must have my phone number and speak with me first. Why would that be required? Everything you say on the phone you can say through an email. Seems fishy to me, especially when I have 3 other dealerships that had no problem providing a quote to me without needing a phone number/phone call.Honestly, they were probably a real contender, but with the ridiculous back and forth with no resolution they will lose out on my business.Overall, Id give them a 0 star review on their customer service.

A good place. Initially, I was worried. There was a problem with the truck I bought, and I mentioned it before I bought it. They promised to fix it first, and told me they had. We went and picked it up, got it 3.5 hrs home, and found it wasn’t fixed. I found a car online and filled out the paperwork online. Called Saturday morning and they said they would bring the car to the front to be waiting on me when I got there. Was told I could transfer money from my bank to the dealerships Bank with my phone. I was paying cash. When I got there they couldnt find the car. My salesperson who was great by the way, found out where it was. Somebody was waiting on a car to be delivered and loaned out that car for them to use. I really wanted that car because it had low miles and was already a year old. I then decided Well I will look at the new ones because they were only a few thousand dollars more than the 20/20. I decided on the color and she went to get it to pull it around for me to see and it was gone and nobody knew where that one was. Why have cars online if they are not there when you go to get one. Very disappointed at that point. I decided to settle with a different car. I picked one out bought it and came home. Got home and realized it didnt have a few of the extras I wanted like a CD player. Yes I looked at the car this was not the Dealers fault I was too excited about getting a new car and didnt look at everything that should have been looked at. Did the paperwork and the finance office didnt even ask me if I wanted to get the extra warranty on it. I did not get it because it was not offered but they should have offered and told me what it would have cost because I might would have. I did buy a Malibu so I hope it will last way out past the warranty. Was desperate for a car and they did something and decided to settle on this. It is an okay car but like I said the whole experience could have been totally different. I was also told they would deliver the car to me and even when I was doing the paperwork she was saying they could deliver it and then when I finished everything she said just come back later to get the old car. That is not what I wanted to do either.

I have a 2004 Silverado that has always been a very reliable, dependable truck. I knew it needed several different things done to make it more road worthy. I am now widowed and was very concerned about where to take it. Service Writer, Tim Yates, told me they could do an overall inspection on it and let me know what needed to be done including the cost breakdown of each thing. He also told me I was under no obligation for them to do some or all of the work. With that being said, I chose to have them do all of the repairs. I am so grateful to have a trustworthy dealership take care of everything for me!

The dealership itself is great, however the service department is not. I have a 2019 Chevy Silverado Custom which is less than a year old. I had to take it in for service as I was having some issues with the AC. I went to the dealerships website to set up an appointment over a week ago (6/14/2020) for an appointment on 6/24/2020. I received multiple email confirmations in regard to my upcoming service appointment. I had no expectation of receiving my vehicle back the same day as it was an issue that requires some investigation and testing. I took my vehicle in early that morning even though my appointment wasnt until later in the day just so that they would have the vehicle and get started on it when they could, however my vehicle appointment was not even in their system. I was then told that they would not even be able to look at my vehicle until next week, this is on Thursday morning. I asked the advisor, why they have appointments if they have no plans to check the vehicles on that day and didnt he think that would be huge inconvenience to the customer. He told me that they are backed up and it would be unfair to other customers to check my vehicle before theirs. Again, why accept appointments when you do not have enough people to perform the requested services. I proceeded to ask if they had a loaner as I didnt expect them to start even looking at my car until next week and was immediately told no they dont have anything. I asked for the service manager and I will just say he smiled a lot and was definitely UNHELPFUL. He blamed it on the system and I was given a list of reasons as why its not their fault. If they want customers to call in and request a service appointment, why is online service even an option and why doesnt anyone answer the service phone when customers do try to call. Needless to say, I am without a vehicle which is still brand new until the dealership finds the time to check into the issue. What adds additional insult to injury is that I tried to fully explain what was happening with my AC as it stops blowing cold air after being in the vehicle for 30 minutes or more and just blows warm air, the service advisor goes to the vehicle and turns the air on and states how it is blowing cold air. The level of customer service definitely needs to reevaluated especially after the customer buys a vehicle and there should not be any difference in whether the customer is a male or female because if I were a male and explained the issue there would be no questions in regard to what I was saying. Please do better, service department at John Thornton Chevrolet at Lithia Sprints!

My husband and I absolutely loved working with Tim at John Thornton Chevrolet! He was awesome and not a pushy salesman, which is what we were accustomed to. I bought my first brand new car for my birthday on 1/2/21 and the staff even sang and clapped for me on our way out! They all made our experience very memorable. Kevin was very friendly in finance and Mr. Gamble who also assisted us with a few final touches to get the Chevy app set up on my phone was very helpful and friendly as well. The Allstate guy was just as helpful and friendly too. Overall a great group of people work at John Thornton Chevrolet! I called to confirm if they have the truck available, they told me yes. I drove 50 miles to buy the truck. When i got there they told me the truck is coming in few days. I agreed to start the paperwork and purchase the truck. They told me my credit is bad, but if i have a co-signer will work. So i did. Then they told me to go home and they will call me next day. After 3 days nothing no calls no answer. I went to another dealer and bout a truck they had in stock that was $10k more and i got approved no problem. They are scammers . I have bought 2 vehicles form this place worth around $120,000 and I have been waiting on a tag for the corvette I purchased just to find out that they sent the tag to the wrong address after I gave 3 different people the new address and when they told me what they did they said they would have someone call me and it’s been a week and no calls. I have had the car for a month and a half and the dealership tag has expired and I just keep getting the runaround mainly from Veronica Gomez. I also asked her to email my financial paperwork that I sighed on several occasions after a month of waiting I called management and the guy sent it to me right then. When I asked Veronica about my warranty on the vehicle I was trading in (which was why in needed information emailed to me) she didn’t know anything about how the warranty worked. She told me I wouldn’t get my money back for the warranty and I told her she was wrong so she had to ask the finance department just to confirm I was right. So now I have a corvette I can’t drive because of mistakes that seem to be driven by inexperienced employees and unwillingness to fix their mistakes. I don’t understand how some people can keep a job with this kind of unprofessional attitude and composer. I think I may just start buying my vehicles from Woody Folsom Chevrolet.

A couple of months ago, my wife and I received separate text messages from Jessica and Amber McCullum from John Thornton Chevrolet since our leases would be ending this year and they were sharing information about some great deals coming up. The last time we were there for an oil change, we were greeted by Amber and we shared how much we really liked the new Blazers and would consider upgrading from our Equinox when our leases ended. Both Amber and Jessica shared information about the 2021 Blazer in their text messages and after we figured out a time to go to the dealership. Amber promised that she would connect us with a salesperson whom we would really vibe with. Enter Derek Strickland! Derek’s enthusiasm and strong ability to listen really made this an outstanding experience for us. He gave us space to discuss our options and was responsive to all our questions. As women, we all too often feel like going to a car dealership exposes us to being take advantage of but that is clearly not the case at John Thornton Chevrolet. Derek provided us with information about the specifications of the vehicles with detailed comparisons between the Equinox and Blazer engine quality and design, cylinder and power gas mileage and potential savings, and the safety features. The process was very smooth and seamless, from the application to the lease information breakdown from Sales Manager Dino Hill and the document signing with Business Manager Kevin Stroud to the celebratory music from Sales Professional Marva Thompson and of course the knowledge and professionalism of Derek Strickland. I called and spoke to a sales representative regarding a 2021 Silverado service body truck that was listed on the website for $34,828. Was told they still had the truck and confirmed the price was correct.. After driving an hour to the dealership and test driving the truck we sit down to do the numbers and purchase it. Now the truck has a price of $49xxx. We would not have wasted our time coming to this place if I would have been told the truth when I called. Buyer beware

They will definitely sell you a vehicle. After that youre on your on. Bought 15 SILVERADO. Nothing but trouble. Transmission first, then the AC, now the motor. Just spent 3600.00 on the Active Fuel Management system. New valves, lifters etc.no help from Chevrolet. 102000 miles. I have spent over 6000.00 on this vehicle. Chevrolet is to blame for it all. Poor design, poor engineering. Dont buy a vehicle from someone who want help you when theres a problem. They loved the Bailout the tax payers have them, now screw you, if you want some help

I was very specific about what I needed done. Half way through the appointment they come out and tell me about some other items that need to be done. I agreed but then 20-30 minutes later he comes back out telling me they didnt realize xyz needed to be done which was why the appointment was made in the first place. So, now Im paying for the extra things I agreed to plus the additional money for what I came for. Had I known upfront the additional cost, I would have held off on the other items. Then after getting into my car I noticed items from my glove box on the floor of my car and in my seat. My package of mask in the front seat was tampered with. Needless to say I will not be doing business at this location again.

When I called to make an appointment for service, was told that dept. for oil changes were backed up for 2 weeks. I didnt just need a oil change but needed 2 new tires and an alignment. Matt was able to squeeze me in so I was able to get all 3 services done on the same day. John Thornton service dept. is always helpful and friendly.

If I could give this dealership negative stars I would. We purchased an explorer from them and was told the gap insurance plan and tag were included with purchasing the vehicle. They sent our tag to the wrong address completely and said it was our problem after that and then charged us $1000 for the gap plan. Extremely rude customer service. They do not care at all. The financing manager named justin scott is a liar and thief. All they are looking for is to bait and switch!

Ask for a truck and the next day I had already been uploaded almost $ 2000 more if they place a price they must keep the price to negotiate from the already established price and not increase later, it looks like plane tickets that must be aware of when low and Upload those changes reflect only own interests and not the customer who wants to buy with reliability

In my opinion Ive always been blessed with good service from John Thornton Chevrolet whether its the Service Department servicing our car or buying parts from the Parts Department to replace a part on our car the service has always been excellent!! There people are courteous, friendly and knowledgeable! Oh and there Body Shop is Top Notch they did a great job repairing some accident damage on our car!! You couldnt even tell the car had been hit it look like it was new. Yes I would recommend John Thornton Chevrolet if you want to buy a new car or truck or have your car and truck serviced its a great place to take your vehicle!!

Reggie in the service department was excellent. Very pleased with the service department.That being said, I would steer clear of the used car sales, employee lied about the history of two used cars, sales staff were rude and unprofessional. First time in my life Ive been disrespected when coming into a car dealership to purchase. I had my checkbook ready to buy but turned and left after the sub standard sales team mistreatment. Go to hardy or Days Chevrolet. Dont buy here. Go somewhere with integrity.
