I came to Community Bicyclist about 5 years ago to get work done on my bike. It was a Cannondale and was almost 20 years old. They got it working and when the bike reached the end of its useful life, I went back and bought a Fuji Roubaix. It has been a joy to ride these past years. It worked well, and when I brought it in after breaking a spoke or any other small issues, they fixed it, sometimes while I waited. I think they are the epitome of what a bike shop should be.
I’ve never had a bad experience here! Sam and Noah are very knowledgeable and always willing to go the extra mile. I have recommended several friends to them and they have all been satisfied. The feel of the shop is in the name. Community! It’s about the people. Thank you guys for all the help and love my Little Rock cycling community!!
Incredibly knowledgeable staff and great customer service. I went in to ask for advice on getting my mountain bike set up for touring and i had a pleasant in depth conversation and look at my bike with one of the men in there.
Went in and asked about tubes. The guy was more than less than interested in the tubes I needed. Showed some pictures of the rim and he got less interested. Gave him the year, make and model of the bike. Didnt care. Wanted to tell me all about how his business was going. Not interested in my bike at all. I would not recommend or take my bike in for a tune up or repair.
My husband and I recently got back into biking, and we pulled our old department store bikes out of the garage. We wanted to get a little air in the tires and make sure the brakes were good before we took them out, so we called Community Bike Shop to see if we could bring them in. The guy we spoke to on the phone said they wouldn’t even look at our department store bikes to check the tires. So we took our bikes down the road to Spokes, where they helped us with no questions asked. Needless to say when we were ready to buy our first “real” road bikes and accessories a few weeks later, we gave our business to Spokes instead of Community Bike Shop.
I had a great purchase experience! The staff was friendly and knowledgeable!
I moved here a year ago and started getting more and more into biking. I visited 5 local bike shops carrying all the major brands. While none were rude, Sam was a cut above. I’ve purchased 2 bikes from the store already, and can honestly say that their service after the sale is as good as before they have you. The shop is small, but personal. The bikes brands they carry reflect that. So glad I found this shop.
As some of the other reviews show, they have also refused to work on my gear because its not worth working on. I dont ride cheap gear either.Follow that up with the attached, very disrespectful voicemail of when they tried to call me back to save face and you get yet another 1 star review.Pretentious, disrespectful and unprofessional.
No inventory of new products and the place itself doesn’t look like an actual business. Don’t waste your time and go somewhere else.
Sam was very helpful! I ended up finding a good used bike through a contact and going with that, but if I am ever in the market for a new bike, this place would be my first choice to buy from! Helpful, honest, and friendly. I echo the other great reviews!
I bought a road bike off of Craigslist. The seller had removed his lollipop pedals and replaced them with standard ones. He had just bought the pedals that day at Community Bicyclist. I ended up buying the bike. The next day I went into the shop hoping to exchange the pedals toward some with clips. The owner, Sam, exchanged my pedals for ones that were on a bike on display. He insisted on taking no money. I had him look over my bike and talked to him about the kind of riding I do. I said I was thinking of buying new tires. He said mine were not overly worn but went on to talk about different options. He thought I might enjoy going from 23cc racing tires to 28cc. The ones he had in mind would be virtually as fast but more comfortable and better in wet conditions and over city potholes, etc. I bought the tires and had Sam install them. What he told me turned out to be exactly true. This will be my go-to local shop from now on.
Exceptionally helpful and friendly. Perhaps the least snobby bike shop I have ever had the pleasure of visiting. If you are at all interested in dipping your toe into bikepacking or gravel riding, this is your place. It is a hole in the wall, so to speak, but that just adds to the charm.Even though I had already purchased a bike independently, Im convinced this is the place Ill be looking to in the future to patronize, whether Im upgrading, buying accessories, or simply getting a tune-up.After much discussion with staff, Im also convinced that they stand behind their products and that they have the customers best interest at heart.
Community Bicyclist staff are honest and knowledgeable. They do not pressure you to buy anything and carry a range of bikes at reasonable prices. I commute to work on the bike I bought there this fall and have been very pleased with it.
Community is great! Sam just tuned up my bike and it is running like a champ--gears, brakes, fit -- you name it. Old Blue is going to do me for another year at least.
Sam does a great on getting your bike out on the trails!! Good prices and excellent customer service.
Excellent customer service and very friendly staff.
Small shop with big service and honest advice. Sam is always willing to work 1/1 with customers and advise based on his own extensive experience.
Sam is the man! I went in the shop with a bunch of questions and he more than answered all of them. Proud to say I have finally bought my first real mtb. Great place and highly recommend.
Best community shop in the region. Amazingly friendly and knowledgeable staff, quality products, and fair prices. Make this one your first stop.
The folks at Community Bicyclist helped me pick the perfect bike for my first tri. I learn something new every time I walk in the shop. They are extremely knowledgable, friendly and gracious. Love this place!
Sam was really friendly and was very helpful. I will be considering a Salsa bike because of my awesome experience here!
The absolute best and friendliest bicycle shop in the area. Sam and Noah are rockstars.
