Fantastic coffee spot right on the main strip in downtown Little Rock! This place has it all - coffee, great food and bakery items, tea…and so many perfect spots to work or meet up with friends.Their staff are super friendly and helpful and they’ve even started to roast their own coffee right on site! This is my go to for meetings and coffee and it’s become like a second home!
Came in my first time on a hot afternoon. I wasnt sure what, told my husband to just order for me because I didnt want to take forever deciding. Without skipping a beat, the cashier turned around and cane back with a sample of strawberry hibiscus coffee. Coffee that tastes nothing like coffee. I was intrigued and delighted. I immediately ordered that! So delish, want 1 every day!
Wonderful coffee shop in the downtown area. Decided I wanted something other than hotel coffee and wanted to find a local place instead of a chain. So glad I picked this one. The vibe is chill with great music, plenty of varied seating, yummy baked goods, and delicious coffee. I recommend the cranberry muffin and Strawberry Hibiscus Nitro Cold Brew.
It’s definitely a different kind of coffee shop and in a nod to the definition, it’s a place where community connections are emerged into life in DT Little Rock. Not only that, but they also offer high quality, ethically sourced beans, local brews and delicious sweets from local shops. Watch out for their wicked seasonal drinks too!
This is one of the best local coffee shops down here in River Market. Such a friendly staff. Giving you that rustic charm. But dont get it twisted they are coming with that 2021 flavor. They have something for all walks if life. The breakfast bake was wonderful. My latte was made with love. Love me some southern charm. Im a believer!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Visited Nexus mid morning on a Saturday. Latte and breakfast pastries were very good. Staff were friendly and helpful, even when busy. When a long line formed and the space filled up, I still got my order quickly and correctly. Live acoustic guitar was a nice touch and I enjoyed browsing the local products they had for sell.
What a great local coffee shop. Aside from having excellent coffee, they offer a few breakfast items as well. Today I had the veggie frittata, which was very good. They also showcase items from local artists and businesses, which I think is very helpful for the local economy. Tuesday and Thursday they do a wine and beer happy hour, which I hope to get to tonight. A must try if you are in the Little Rock area.
Good coffee, friendly staff, and good selection of baked goods sold at the counter. I had two different egg items which were reheated for me. Great place to grab and go, but not a full sit down breakfast place. Perfect for what it is.
My wife and I stopped by as we for breakfast and a coffee as we stayed overnight in Little Rock for the first time. Oh man, what a find. Not only did they have great food and drinks (I got the snickers latte and my wife got the strawberry hibiscus nitro cold brew which were both delicious) but they had an awesome craft store set-up as well (locally made coffee cups, jams, honeys, spices). Thanks for having us Nexus, we will definitely be back the next time we are in town.
The feel of this coffee shop is nothing short of alluring. Id call this a better version of mom-and-pop Starbucks. It presents one of those instances where paying a bit more for your quality cup of coffee is justified, as you can enjoy the variety of comfy seating, plain and with alcoves, motley yet clean décor, plenty of sunlit workspace for all of you bringing your books and laptops, and a quiet atmosphere, all while on a busy street corner. I first visited a couple of years ago and liked it all then. Visiting again now, I was surprised to see the expanded space with more of the said goodness and a large corner storefront window. No doubt Ill come in again, whenever in the area.
Stopped here on my way through town and lucked into an AMAZING latte! I had one of their seasonal offerings, an Orange Rosemary latte with oat milk. It was absolutely delicious! I wish I couldve stayed to do some work or read there because the decor and general ambiance was welcoming and cozy as well.
Nice spot. Good coffee. Fair prices. The staff could be a little more friendlier though.
I love the atmosphere and the decorations. The owner is so sweet and welcoming. I visited the first time for Bible study that I am apart of at DNLC that is hosted at Nexus. The location is also very convenient as well.
Went by last weekend, the Cuban coffee was perfect, and my wife loved her ice coffee as well. The muffins were also amazing as well.
Such a great place with very good coffee. They even have me a few free samples to help me decide what I wanted to order. Great staff, great atmosphere, and great coffee.
Gorgeous coffee shop! Plenty of sitting areas for studying, reading, or catching up with friends. Calm but refreshing interior with good use of light, big windows help you feel connected with the outside even if youre stuck at the computer for hours. Strawberry matcha is delicious. Wish it was open later than 5 pm.
Lid didn’t fit on my cappuccino so it spilled on my hand. Second degree burns!!! The girl behind the counter says that has happened to her. She went in The back to get a bandaid and burn ointment. If you have to keep burn ointment on hand then your coffee is too hot.
Ooof... I went on 6/28/2021 at around 7:30 am and purchased two drip coffees for around $5. The coffee was SO weak. I was so disappointed. If I wanted hot coffee water, I would have stayed at the hotel. I gave two stars because the employee was fine and the atmosphere in the shop was cool. But, if youre a coffee shop, you should get coffee right...
Good tasting coffees. Good WiFi connection and power sockets.
Sweet potato iced latte.... Need I say more⁉️👏🏾🧡
One of the best lattes I ever had. Great crew and friendly. Just passing thru but will definitely stop in when back in the area.
Nexus has a cozy and welcoming vibe, the coffee and matcha are delicious and the food is also good (I recommend the veggie frittata and the cinnamon rolls!). They have lots of unique gifts, as well, by local artisans and beautiful works of art for sale on the exposed brick walls. One of my favorite spots for sure.
Been taking the Little Rock coffee shop tour and hit this gem today. Atmosphere is very pleasant and music selection was on point. Coffee was outstanding and prepared with care by the super friendly barista. Food is priced fairly and better than the average items at other places. They also have a points reward system for purchasing items so definitely worth frequent stops. A must stop for your dose of caffeine.
This cafe has a great atmosphere, but unfortunately everything else was awful. The London fog just tasted like milk and honey. The matcha latte was a bit on the bitter side. The cappuccino was so scalding hot that the flavor of the coffee was completely ruined, and when I asked them to remake it because it was too hot, the lady working there just started making excuses and told me they had to make it that hot in order to make the milk frothy, which is ridiculous. The baked goods were even worse then the drinks. The blueberry scone was the worst scone I’ve ever had, it was more like a muffin, and the sticky buns tasted like Pillsbury crescent roll dough. Just go to Mylo instead, their drinks are way better and their scone was amazing, plus they have much more friendly service.
Amazing little coffee shop. Their lavender syrup is a delicious treat. I recommend Nexus 100%.
Great coffee with friendly service. I like the decor and general seating, they also have outside seating on Market St. A couple different food options including 1 no carb. They called it and egg cup and I really enjoyed it.
This is the best coffee shop I have visited in a long time. The coffee is so rich in flavor and yet, silky smooth. Honestly, words cannot do this place justice.
Fascinating place. They didnt list any of their prices for coffee. When asked, the barista thought it was odd as well.Needless to say the latte was one of the more expensive Ive ever had, including NYC, LA or San Francisco. It was tasty, but not cheap.
This place is fantastic. The decor inside is beautiful and cozy. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. There was a cute labradoodle there that the staff let me pet. She was very sweet. I really enjoyed the iced peach blossom tea. It was very light and refreshing and the croissant with cream cheese and sausage was SO delicious! There are couches and chairs for you to lounge on. It’s a very relaxed, chill vibe. If I lived here this would be my go to spot.
Great coffee, breakfast bake, and cinnamon rolls ❤. Nice to have room to relax and enjoy coffee without feeling rushed to move on. Staff was professional and friendly.
Great coffee, fun atmosphere and very friendly. Highly recommend!!
Ive always enjoyed a special treat any time Ive been in Nexus. The hot drinks are delicious and tastefully served. Its an enjoyable place to sit and relax. Given the government war on small businesses, I strongly encourage support of our local businesses! This place beats Starbucks any day. The corporations will continue but our local, family owned places need our support now more than ever. This is one I hope stays in business!! ☕
I stopped here on a road trip and it was so good Ive been thinking of road trips back as an excuse to stop by again. I had their citrus coffe soda and the strawberry matcha latte.
Coolest coffee shop in town! They make a *real* macchiato with great beans. Its very large inside with lots of seating. If youre in town looking for the cool coffee shop to hang out at, this is the one.Really, what theyve done at Nexus goes beyond coffee. Theyve created a wonderful community hub for downtown little rock.
The coffee, tea and pastries are wonderful! The decor is fun and you have comfy sofas, tables, etc. to choose from. Love everything about this place.
I enjoyed myself here. The mayan mocha was very delicious. I loved the atmosphere of the place and the service was very friendly. I will definitely return in my next visit to Little Rock.
Awesome you can bring your dog in very nice people and clean
Awesome coffee house with some fun nick nack gifts, plenty of indoor seating (none outdoor) and really good pastries. Whether youre a local or just passing through its a great local business to support.
Nexus is the perfect “third place” for me. I get away from the office to work on intensive writing projects, I enjoy live music and great community events, and I gather with friends to catch up. The staff is always on point with excellent food and beverage suggestions, and the owners have become great friends - and HUGE supporters of the community. Even during COVID, they’ve remained focused on providing a great experience with health and safety in mind. I highly recommend stopping in, even if it’s just to take home some excellent coffee or beautiful locally-made gifts and Arkansas Proud craft items.
My wife and I were walking yesterday in the Rivermarket District of Little Rock, and came across Nexus Cafe, and checked it out. Very warm, comfortable atmosphere. Your choice of big comfy chairs or couches, or tables, or the window seat counter. We chose the window counter to people watch. My wife had cappuccino and I had a latte. She had their freshly made chicken salad on pita, and I had their breakfast bagel (pruciutto, cheese, big tomato.). They were both excellent, as was the coffee! Price was good. Very personable and knowledgeable staff, and they explained that they are creating a creative hub for coffee, and wine/beer, by the way, and food while experiencing live music or poetry on some nights, and trivia contests or other events on others.Great location, just down the street from the Rivermarket building itself and just a block from the convention center. We plan to go back and check out one of the live music nights; and stop for coffee whenever were downtown.
Not just another stop on the Little Rock coffee shop tour... good enough to stop in twice! The entire staff here is friendly and approachable, even going so far as to suggest drinks to those who are unsure. The space here is well utilized with barstool/counter spaces, couches, tables, and even a meeting room with table and TV! Plenty of space to suit your needs. The coffee comes from a local roaster that carefully sources their beans, providing great quality in every cup. I really like having the Chemex option for a pour over, and its very reasonably priced. I forgot what its called, but I had what was essentially a breakfast quesadilla, and every bite was more magical than the next. Finally, I really like how they feature different artists with work for sale on the walls, making for more interesting scenery.
Very friendly staff, decent selection of coffee and desserts, and deceptively large modern space that can easily accommodate larger groups. House drip is from a local roaster and they have both medium and dark blends. Only real con is price. At $2.45 for a medium drip it is more expensive for less coffee than Blue Sail down the street.
I’ve struggled with this all weekend because I never write reviews of places online. I think that if people have a problem they should call the owner directly and not try to trash a hard working business during a national pandemic. That being said, I love Nexus. As an Asian-American trans male I’ve never felt anything but acceptance and friendliness from the ppl that work there. The owner and manager both seem really nice and are helpful too. I have several friends from the LGBT 🏳️🌈 community who come in on a regular basis and love it. In fact, the person who recommended Nexus to me is LGBT and she used to work there; she said to try the blueberry nitro and it’s delicious.
Love the people here so much ❤❤❤
I absolutely love this space and the staff! Everyone, and I mean everyone, is amazing there and so welcoming! Its great that theres always something going on and that they give back to the community! Love Love Love the peppermint white chocolate mocha!!!
TOO EXPENSIVE for the size they offer ... and the waitress/server had to be corrected 3 times on our order it was a simple order
Stopped in on my way out of town after a quick trip to Little Rock. It was by far the BEST latte I’ve had in a looong time. Place is super cute and clean.
Nexus Coffee and Creative is the perfect community coffee spot! The best coffee, the nicest people, on the best corner in the River Market District. It’s a great place to meet a friend, take a date, or work remotely. Good people and great coffee!
Had breakfast here and we thought it was great. Very large menu and everything was super fresh. You order at a counter and the food is brought to you. The restaurant is very clean and attractive and we could not have been more pleased with our choices.
Best coffee shop in LR! great environment, staff, food, and coffee!
A must stop spot if you frequent downtown Little Rock!! The shop is such a mirror image of the owner Amy Counce. Vibrant, Alive, Joyful, and committed to Excellence! The coffee is amazing. Service is top notch!
There coffee was really good
Over view:Its a really good family friendly coffee shop. I come here anytime Im walking my dog downtown on the weekedFood:🍫☕Moca latte: amazing just light enough moca flavor to not over power the expreso🇯🇵☕Tokyo fog: refreshing Jazmine tea with matcha latte in a thematic plating(and struff I dont remember in the description)🌄🥪Sunrise sandwich:a panini with bacon, sausage or ham with egg cheddar and seasoned mayo with a fruit cup its delicious (I already ate half by the time I took the picture lol)Atmosphere:the front of the building is a little coffee shop Mediterranean, the back thats like country chic. There are boardgames readily available and dogs🐕🐩🐶 are allowed (not on the carpet and not around kids which is my only complaint because the entire front of the building is covered in rugs so I in relighted to the area behind the giftshop😞)
The atmosphere is pretty light. The blueberry scone was perfect and my vanilla latte did not disappoint. When I finally move to Arkansas I will come back
One of my most favorite coffee places! A warm, welcoming gathering space with terrific staff. You wont be disappointed!
Nexus is a place of community! So proud of my daughter and her Nexus team❤️ They strive to put their best foot forward always. Great coffee, great food, great gift shop, great atmosphere and just a place to call home! ❤️❤️❤️🌲🌲🌲
The place is very cosy. We ordered the breakfast bagel & butter croissant with their seasonal white peppermint mocha and all of it was very good.
Not your ordinary coffee shop. Wonderful service, food, products, prices and atmosphere. I dont know if Im more excited about what they have to offer or that I dont have to be in the long Starbucks drive-thru lines anymore.
As a creative, Nexus is the perfect place to work. As a professional its the perfect space for meetings. Coffee is amazing, the environment is great, and Amy and her staff are the best.
From the perspective of a craft coffee barista, by far one of the best lattes we’ve ever had. The space was inviting and warm and aesthetic, the retail options were fun to look at. We chose a simple latte with honey and cinnamon and we haven’t stopped talking about it since then. The only negative feedback would be that the staff was not super thorough. Being gluten intolerant, I already feel like a burden having to ask if oat milk is gluten free. When I asked, the staff person said “I think so, maybe” and didn’t want to take the initiative to look for us. Service could be improved to be more helpful, but they do make a good latte.
Great cortados this morning, and my blueberry scone was fantastic too. Plus, the owners dogs are the nicest!
Stopped in for a quick breakfast. Had a ham, egg and cheese croissant that was very good. What stood out the most was the fast and super friendly service.
Good coffee and break fast muffins
