A welcoming atmosphere and diverse patrons make this a lovely spot for a refreshing pause, soothed by vinyls selected by the barista. Absolutely must visit for the ambience!

Pretty good coffee. Very tight inside and uncomfortably dirty/messy. Sign on front door says WEAR A MASK instead of politely asking the same thing. Music frequently stops (vinyl record player) and they seem to be in the middle of a remodel but no work is actively taking place and it seems to be the norm based on furniture placement against un-finished walls with holes.

A tremendous coffee shop with welcoming baristas and delicious pastries and drinks. My dirty chai was everything I could ask for, but the coffee ice cubes were a delightful surprise. The barista was insightful about things to do and see while visiting Little Rock. The atmosphere inside is very calm and laid back. Honestly, skip the corporations and get your coffee fix at this outstanding place!

This place holds a very special place in my heart. I visited here about 5 years ago with my boyfriend. We made a little mini trip up here from Louisiana and I just remember loving the whole place. This was the first place I ever had a lavender latte and that taste brings back the best memories. I now live here with that same boyfriend who is now a fiancé and this is one of our favorite places to grab coffee. When we first moved here I would go there to work on my laptop...I was new to the city and honestly scared. This place made me feel so at home with the records playing, regulars chatting in the corner and the dogs sleeping by their owners feet. And obviously the coffee is AMAZING as well as the service. Thank you for making me feel at home one lavender latte at a time!

I cant really think of a way this place could be better. Coffees great, everyone is super friendly, the atmosphere is perfect, and the music is always on point. Its small, the only potential downside, but it doesnt bother me. Local art on the walls, bookshelves, a record player with a stellar selection of vinyl to throw on. (although Ive never had a desire to change one of Alexs selections) And, oh yeah, the coffee! Quality beans, and they even have coffee ice cubes so the tasty cold brew doesnt get watered down. If you want to get plugged in to the local community, this is the place to go. I went to River City to finish up my work for the week and got to meet a mildly famous actor, a musician, and a barista who knew everyone by name. What a great place to visit.Oh, the hot chocolate was good too.

He takes great care in his craft, he thoughtfully curates the music selection from his record collection, and he kindly greets all people as they enter, order, and visit with others. Most mornings the place is filled with regulars and locals, drawn not only for River Citys cozy charm, but also for the good vibes and quality coffee. A true standout among coffee shops!

1st time in, Opened door- barked at by store employee about mask policy and asked to leave. Didnt ask if we were vaccinated or explain their we dont care if you are policy. I dont argue to buy something from a store. My thoughts- if they dont want me there- I can spend money where Im wanted. My husband put on a mask and showed his vaccination card. He was tolerated.Bottom line- customer service doesnt matter here and evidently they dont need your business.

Was one of the few coffee places open on a Sunday - really homey and has plenty of books and magazines and games to look at. Loved the iced white mocha with coffee ice cubes.

Honestly, with how people are in 2020, this is a really awesome coffee shop that feels really homey and has a good vibe. I was driving East Coast to West Coast on New Year’s Eve and found that most of the other coffee shops didn’t really fit the bill and then I found bottomless iced coffee on this stores menu and I had to find out if it was true. It was and on top of that the ice cubes were made out of coffee!

Great coffee shop! I had a Cafe au Lait my wife had a Caramel Latte, my daughter had Hot Cocoa, everything was really good. Muffin and cookie were fresh as well.

Checking out the local coffee shops and stopped by for a cup. Building has a nice storefront with an historical look to it. Parking spots are mostly on the street and depending on time of day can be hard to find. The shop does have tight quarters inside but it is cozy. Music selection was appealing for the atmosphere. Coffee was prepared as requested and tasted wonderful. Nice low key place to enjoy your brew.

If you werent looking for it, walking right past would be pretty easy! The atmosphere is kitschy and inviting, with plenty of room to sit and have a conversation, or get some work done. The owner is quite friendly, and gave a good run-down of the drip coffees available, helping me steer clear of the extra caffeinated stuff so sleep could be had later.They have music playing (not obnoxious), so if youre looking to study, headphones are a definite must. The only change Id make would be to offer some pour overs... thats it. At the end of the day, a great place to stop for some coffee while in Little Rock.

The very fresh and very large club sandwich was a perfect weekday lunch at River City Coffee. Service was incredibly friendly, the line went quickly and we all enjoyed our meals. My girlfriends had the croissant eggs benedict and thought it was very good!

There are a ton of options and all of them are good. We had the Scarborough sandwich, fruit bowls, shrimp and grits and strawberry croissant, all of which were really good. This is definitely a must for a no fuss but good meal

Was looking for a coffee shop in Little Rock and was between here and a couple of other specialty shops. The coffee was decent, but nothing to write home about. I got an Americano and it was just a slightly stronger black coffee. Im usually into fruity, acidic Ethiopian and this was just short of the opposite. However, if you are looking for run of the mill coffee, then this may be up your alley. Just not something I would consider specialty.

Both times I have went the coffee has been great and there are many options to choose from when it comes to flavors. The guy who served us was helpful and friendly. The atmosphere is cozy and great for a coffee shop. My favorite part of the experience was that their ice is made of coffee so that it doesnt water down the taste of the iced coffee. Huge thumbs up for that!

Best coffee shop in Little Rock. Homey, comfortable. Jeremy (owner) absolutely knows his coffee and keeps a nice rotation of blends going. Right next door to Leo’s if you feel like eating a bit more than a bagel or pastry.

SEATING: Its a small shop but they make good use of space for seating. So far Ive always found a place to sit, and Ive come at different times throughout the day.POWER OUTLETS: Yes! Each little cluster of seating has at least one. Theyve also invested in multiple power strips. Why more coffee shops dont do this I have no idea.ATMOSPHERE: Artsy but cozy. Theyve got a record player with plenty of records you can flip through, books to read, and even board games.COFFEE: Good! They even offer coffee ice cubes so your iced coffee doesnt get watered down.FOOD: Theyve got the basics, like bagels and muffins. My only complaint about this place is that they could offer more food.

There are some awesome local coffee shops in Little Rock, but this is my absolute favorite. There are so many great menu items and I treat myself to a lavender latte every few weeks. It’s just so delicious and the drip is awesome as well. The owner, who is so nice and friendly, will help you decide on a drink, make something custom and provide suggestions for other great spots in town. He recently told me about a few vintage places to check out that I hadn’t been to before.The shop itself is eclectic and funky and very welcoming. It’s a lovely spot to read or hang out while you sip on a tasty cup of joe.

Loved this place! Coffee was great and loved that there was a record player playing blues music. The only thing I can comment on is that its a small place so seating can be hard to find. Will be going back while in Arkansas.

My girlfriend and I have been trying out all the local coffee shops in Central AR and we feel the most comfortable here so far. They have hot and cold options of every drink. Muffins are very moist.

This is my favorite coffee shop around Little Rock. I suggest trying the raspberry mocha with the coffee ice cubes but this drink is great hot as well! OBSESSED, highly recommend. This place is tiny. The cappuccino machine was broken. So, no lattes or anything that needed steamed milk. My coffee was delicious. Not much for food. The atmosphere is quiet. Nice place to just sit and study or read or knit something. They play nice music on the turntable. The staff are friendly. Worth a second visit.

Swung through on the way across country and was super happy to run across this place- The owner was super cool and helpful outside of just serving very VERY good coffee (and I have been to a few cafes in my day). He gave me places to bike around and explained the layout of the neighborhood. The vibe was excellent and the chairs outside were comfy. The neighborhood is fairly quiet and in general I just had an excellent experience swinging through for a cup. Will definitely visit again when in Little Rock.

Was visiting from North Texas and was in desperate need for some good coffee/espresso. River City did not disappoint. I had the cinnamon roll latte and my hubby had the Trifecta. I really would love to go back just for the coffee. Seth did a great job!

I ordered large carmel latte, comparable price to big franchises but the quality was so much better. You can tell they take pride in each cup from the choice of beans they use, to the quality of the espresso shots in each drink. I will definitely be coming back regularly.

But we decided that we wanted to try a new place, that was not a big nationally recognized chain business, a place that was locally owned and operated. We found River City Coffee by way of Google....what else..?? lol..Its a small place, and it was dark, but we found it. And we were so very happy & pleased that we did! We loved the eclectic art and decor of the place. We were comfortable and enjoyed our beverages, and our time in this local establishment. Seth was the employee that took care of us that night. Seth was a very personable, friendly, and professional guy. And he knew what he was doing when it came to making our drinks. My girlfriend and I really enjoyed our visit to this local business. Funky vintage quiet coffee shop, friendly service!

I live in Hillcrest and occasionally roast my own coffee beans because I insist on drinking high quality coffee at home. When I dont feel like roasting or cant roast for some reason I head over to River City Coffee because I know they will have high quality coffee varieties that are recently roasted. Just compare a cup of their coffee with off-the-shelf coffee beans you can buy at Starbucks and you will notice a big difference.The shop is inviting and comfortable if you just want to sit and enjoy a cup of your favorite brew and a pastry. The baristas are highly knowledgeable and happy to engage in coffee talk.

This is my hide away! And the coffee is made with a personal touch. I cant get enough!
