I called the day before and made an appointment for a wheel alignment at 2 pm the next day. When I arrived I was told it would be an up to 2 hour wait instead of the usual 45 minutes to complete the alignment because they had another vehicle on their only alignment rack. I asked if I could go and come back then, and she said no, that I would lose my place in line because someone was scheduled at 3 pm. There was no apology offered for the delay. I left it anyway and my vehicle wasnt done for 2 hrs. and 45 minutes! And I had to call to find that out. Then I got their text stating it was done. I asked if someone would come and give me a ride back to the shop. I was told they dont offer that service. I got a Lyft ride back to the shop. There was no apology offered for the long wait. I was given a report when I picked up the vehicle that clearly showed one thing was still not in alignment. I called the next day to ask about it, and the guy told me I could come in and speak to the technician and he would explain the report. I went into the shop and there was just one person at the front desk, so I told her I had a question about my alignment report. She waited for me to say what my question was, so I showed her the report and said one item was not aligned and that didnt seem right. She told me that item could not be aligned. I explained I had paid for an alignment, so it didnt make sense that one item was not aligned. She again said that it could not be aligned. I really expected to talk to the technician, but this is not what happened. She insisted she was right. On the report it was clearly noted as being out of range and printed in RED! There was no attempt to listen to my concern, I was treated rudely and told there are a lot of other places I can go, when I expressed my dissatisfaction with my whole experience with them.

Took my car in for a high mileage oil change and tire rotation. Megan and Allison were beyond helpful and very knowledgeable about everything. I was in and out in barely more than an hour and was very happy with the level of service!
I went there to replace 4 tires and the cabin filter. They were way more busy than usual. Although being short staffed because of all the customers they were very attentive. The lady working the service counter kept me up to date on the progress of my vehicle checking with me 3 or 4 times during the process. The mechanic, in my opinion, went above and beyond with his work also.

Pep Boys is still in business as a SERVICE center. Yes, the parts department is changing companies but Pep Boys is still there to service vehicles, sell tires, and perform maintenance and repairs on vehicles. Only the retail/parts department is closed!! Go check out the crew in the service department for all your mechanical needs!!!

They have a good selection of products. They offer a senior discount of 10%. Any savings is good when you are retired. The check out can be slow sometimes but it is usually not too bad. I have not used the service center but they always seem busy.

They completely wanted to overcharge me for fixing my car. They claimed the radiator was broken along with a number of other things and gave me an estimate of over 3,000 dollars to have it fixed. I almost took their word for it but called another well established shop in the area and they told me to run for the hills. I ended up having the repairs done at Mikes automotive where they found the radiator was actually fine. I paid for all the replacements for less than 800 dollars.

These guys and gals are straight amazing. They took time to talk to me and give advice, even let me go to the parking lot with unpaid merchandise to see if it would fit my car before I bought it. And even though they did not have what I wanted in stock, custom exhaust parts they were happy to help. In the back ground I heard one of the employees picking in a customer he knew, he got the guy laughing after they walked in obviously frustrated and mad... It is so hard to find places like this anymore. even though it is a chain store you would think it is uncles Bobs part shop.. I am very impressed and very happy. Today even though they are quite a bit out of my way, they have made a loyal customer that is willing to make the drive when needed!

I came here at 10am to have my car serviced for an oil change. They did not finish my car until after 1 and had me waiting in the lobby the entire time. They have a huge sign in the waiting area that guarantees fast service but a 3 plus hour wait for a simple oil change is not what I consider fast. This is the longest time Ive had to wait for an oil change and Ive been to other companies who were far busier and much faster. I am completely dissatisfied with this experience and will never come to this location again.

My vehicle now has 4 dents due to them lifting it for an oil change. Currently waiting to see how they are going to handle this. Its been nearly two months but this is the ONLY place that has lifted my vehicle since I bought it 3 months ago. I noticed one massive dent and then saw there were 3 others. I instantly called to ask if they lift the vehicles to do an oil change and they said yes. I wish I noticed this sooner but there is no way it was from anywhere or anything else because I had it fully examined when i bought it.
Originally was supposed to be 35$ to balance all 4 of my tires. They found out one was bent and balanced the other three for absolutely no charge. 👍
The closing manager leaves much to be desired. She was very rude and unprofessional. Warning to all...she is a cop caller!!! I was sitting in the back of the parking lot feeding 2 puppies that were just 2 months old drinking Arizona Tea, when this B!+@# called the cops saying we were drinking beer and harassing customers, and when they didnt do anything she called them again 3 hours later claiming that I was urinating in Her bushes. I DO NOT recommend using this store, for ANYTHING, there is an Auto Zone right up the road with better service and prices.
Not one person acknowledged my presence in the store at all. No one even bothered to even came to check and see if I needed help. Went to go pay for my products and the manager was too good to operate a register called another employee to operate the register. Worst pepboys I have ever gone into.

Two nights ago, I went online to place an order and schedule an installation appointment. I entered the make, model, year, and engine and ordered the vehicle specific parts. I then scheduled a 1:00pm appointment and paid online. I received the customary emails thanking me for my order and confirming my appointment.Today, I walked into Pep Boys at 12:45 and informed them that I had an appointment. I provide name and vehicle info and was told that I was not in the system. The service advisor turned the screen and I pointed out my name and vehicle quickly. It was clearly marked web because it was made online. He then sighed and told me they prefer appointments to be made in person or by phone. Then said, were really booked up. Well try to get to it.The service should have taken only about 30-45 minutes. If I wasnt lazy, I could have easily done it at home, but installation was free and I like my hands clean. After a little over an hour waiting, I was called up and informed that one of the products I ordered did not fit my vehicle. I explained that their website was very clear that the products I ordered were for my specific vehicle.The service advisor told me that their website is always messed up and he is always telling customers to come in or call when making purchases. Said he never recommends their website. After a few minutes, they get the right product and get started. About 15 minutes later, they called me back up to inform me that the same thing happened with the other product I purchased. As I type this, I am now 2 hours into a 45 minutes service.I go online to their chat function. It shows store inquiry-complaint so I click it and start a chat with Amanda. She asks how she can help me. I start to explain the nature of my complaint. A couple lines in, she cuts me off and tells me to call another number and asks if she can be of further service. Evidently complaint in their chat selection does not actually mean that you can complain.I have ordered numerous auto parts over the years from various online sources and have never had this issue. Second time pep boys had failed miserably. Im not sure I have the patience to go for a third strike. This is, yet again, an overall failure in customer service online, in store, and through their online complaint function. So, thank you Yelp for providing a meaningful platform to be heard. Just paid... 2 hours and 45 minutes total time.

I needed shocks for hauling and oil and an additive for oil change. I called Stockton westland store and was helped by a gentlemen and I feel so bad not remembering his name but sounded like he had worked there for a while and needs credit for being do helpful. They did not have the shocks in stock but he offered to get them for me and transfer them from another store. Unfortunately, I could not wait so I went to the Lodi store and recieved great service as well by a knowledgeable woman who appeared to be a Manager or Supervisor. Thank you Pep boys for answering all my questions explaining part differences etc..
Usually prompt with the service department. Parts counter seem knowledgeable when I need something. Always seem to find what I need. Sometimes in the parts area it’s hard to get help in the isles.

So, this place is a joke. We have lived everywhere...gotten brakes replaced regularly since my first car. Never have I ever (nor my husband) been ran in circles so much over simple brake replacement.Our estimate changed 5 times in 24 hours.I’m convinced it’s a scam. We went in got one quote. Came back for service, was given a completely different estimate (before we even pulled the car in)-which was substantially more than our original estimate. Acknowledged the discrepancy and the estimate was changed AGAIN-but, too slightly less than our original estimate.Over the next hour we got two more different estimates...only to eventually end up BACK at the overpriced estimate we started this am with!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I’m so pissed at the lack of professionalism. This is the second business in Lodi we have used since we moved and this is the second time I’ve been pissed about the laziness and lack of professionalism.And. I haven’t even talked about the service tech’s personality problem. Another customer complained to me while I waited that the tech is ALWAYS RUDE and treats the customer as though the tech doesn’t want to help him. When asked about it, the young lady in front stated “that’s just how he is.” Really? You think that’s good for business? Lazy answers from lazy workers So, that basically solidified the fact that we will never come back to this business.

Theres nothing I love more than sitting in their dirty waiting room with my fussy baby for a 15-minute tire rotation that they dont even start until 30 minutes after my appointment time. If I schedule a mid day appt on a Monday and show up early its probably because I really dont want to spend my afternoon here.

I just went in today about an hour ago to get my tires changed. The website quoted me $382, then I get there waiting for an hour after driving an hour just to get here for them to tell me I PICKED the wrong tires online. No? I got quoted that price because YOUR website picked those for my car after putting all of my info in. Then the lady who worked there told me it was going to be an extra $300 and blamed me..... honestly ridiculous. It’s one thing to cost more, but it’s another to blame the customer & not take fault or even try to make my experience better. I was rude, because that’s unreal. She tried to offer me a discount after I told her to give me the keys to my car & walked away upset. Probably should start with that instead of placing blame:) I’ll never be returning. If she was the manger she sucks.

Horrible experience. I had a 1pm appointment for new tires ended up walking out at 4pm. Horrible business with awful management. I will not be stepping into pep boys again. When I spoke with the manager and informed him of my 1pm appointment he stated well I wasnt counting on having two service guys today, maybe you can try again Monday. At that point I asked for a refund.

I am just another guy with car problems. You know,,, the kind that wakes up everyday wondering am I going to make it to work? Can I even get to the grocery? That kind of guy.My car is an Infiniti i35 2002. Yep a late model. My grandson even said when I got the car: “Oh!....that’s old!” I told him: “Yep an old but a goodie”. Only thing is since I’ve had this car for only eight (8) months .... one thing after another has left me sitting at home wondering .....how am I going to get around ? Or Now what?My mechanics could not seem to get my pretty car running right. PEP BOYS in LODI CALIFORNIA makes me a stand up guy again! They not only fixed a faulty Cam sensor but pointed out other problems I had with the my Sweetheart (my infinity)Annnnnd...... although a very busy Pep Boys (due to caring the load from other stores unable to fix (repair cars). THEY FIXED.MY CAR THAT SAME DAY!When I walked in it was certain to be a three hour wait even to get to see the car for a test drive or diagnostic test......Nope .....as soon as they could they got right back to me. ( I was in the waiting room.... wondering how I was going to get home)They informed me of possible causes for repair. I called my daughter in law to fetch me.I left waiting to hear from them. And YES.... within an hour I received a call.....telling me EXACTLY what was needed AND other repairs needed.I approved the work. They had my car ready THAT NIGHT! And guess what? They showed me how to turn on my dash lights for driving at night! I was so excited. I’ve been driving this car at night using a small flashlight to check on how fast I was going.I felt a little of an idiot not knowing.... now I’m a Super Granpa! Yea!🎉 Thanx to PEP BOYS! LodiEverybody, the mechanic there.... he really knows his stuff. I could tell by how he questioned me to asses the problem. I don’t know his name... he’s the Filipino Guy! By the questions he asked me. And HOW he asked me....... he was able to figure out what the issue was....before the tests and YEP! HE WAS RIGHT ON! Pep Boys Lodi is where I want to take my car from now on!Only problem?..... waiting room had no coffee. 😜

They Are unprofessional, I called in on the 26th for an A/C Diagnostic, they said they couldnt do it the same day. The guy I talked to told me to come in on Friday of the same week, so I went in and they were busy again, so I talked to the guy behind the counter and he told me just to come in on the following Tuesday and Id be fine. So I asked do I need to make an appointment? and he told me No need to make an appointment. So I came in that Tuesday and I told the same guy I was here for my AC Diagnostic, and he seemed really skeptical, and wasnt straight forward so I asked if the only AC guy they have was busy and he told me that the AC guy wouldnt have been able to get to it that same day. So I was forced to cancel my ride and make an appointment this time. Now Ive dropped it off and have to leave it overnight even though I made an appointment and was never told itd be an overnight thing nonetheless.More to this story but this is the jist of it

The manager lied about what was in a parts kit, because he didnt know what he was talking about then told the customer he could shop elsewhere because the customer told him he was wrong. This was in Lodi.
