I got my emissions test here. Scheduling an appointment was very easy. Staff were friendly and efficient with the inspection. Great experience!

Worst and most dishonest shop in cache valley I’ll neverGo there again. First of all they did my valve covers gaskets four times because they would keep leaking and luckily they were under warranty but come on four times to get it right and that was all within a year then I was having a misfire code come up issues and they couldn’t figure it out and they were just throwing out random things it could be so I decided I was going to take it to a different shop and they still charged me nearly 200 dollars to do pretty much nothing anyways. I get in my car and I got codes that weren’t showing before so I get out and start checking my sensor just to see that they were all disconnected!!! Pathetic

They were very customer friendly, timely and sensitive to our situation. They treated us with quality respect in every aspect of the experience. I highly recommend their service!

Import Auto is one of the worst places I have ever taken a vehicle. To start, several months ago we took our car in because it was shaking as we drove. They misdiagnosed the issue and charged nearly 1,000 in repairs - turns out the tires were out of balance, something they never mentioned. In that same visit they recommended 2,000 in repairs that were unnecessary. However, they did not mention anything about the rear brakes which were nearly metal on metal, something another shop noticed in 20 minutes.Months later, we were required to have our car towed there for what we thought was a simple issue with a spark plug. After the car had been there for a week they diagnosed that one spark plug was faulty and recommended we replace it. We said to go ahead and they charged 400 to do so. A week later they called and said that the car still did not run and they did not know what the error code was but had some ideas, all we had to do was pay another diagnostics fee and they would research the issues. So at this point they had my vehicle for 2 weeks, had charged 400, and the issue was not close to solved.We were frustrated and had the car taken elsewhere. Within 2 hours of our vehicle being at the other shop they diagnosed a severe engine issue that compromised the motor. They also noted the spark plugs were so over torqued that some broke when pulling them out. This is also when we found out the issues with the rear brakes.After all of this I called and spoke to a manager to see if he would work with me because of how frustrating the issue was from my end. During our conversation he was very condescending and combative. I was not asking for a full refund but a break on the price due to the time they had it, misdiagnosis, and the fact they did not fix anything. To this the manager responded in a very demeaning tone, “get the notes from the other shop and prove that I did things wrong because I would love to see the day that I am wrong.”Ultimately they did not hear my frustration. They failed to fix my car, charged me money and then did not care what happened beyond that. I mean, business is business but sadly I do not think any of their staff handled the issue with any professionalism. So I would highly recommend avoiding this shop unless it is essential that you go there for a small issue - smaller than spark plugs.

Import Auto took my car and diagnosed everything needed. I then received a personal call from one of the owners (Bryan) to explain what was going wrong, the options to fix them, and a pretty accurate timeline of completion. When the car was complete, the payment and explanation of services, follow-on needs, and warranties were explained perfectly. The personal service, positive attitude towards customers, honest work....everything was top-shelf. They are my new foreign car shop, and I am a stickler for quality.

I called and scheduled a time to come in, and I confirmed the date, then I got a text notifying me of a different date and time, but we were able to get that fixed relatively easily. They kept me updated on the progress of my car as they were working on it. They got everything done in a timely manner.

Brian is very helpful, and jake is very understanding. Gabby is a sweetheart and I regularly take my BMW here. Pricey, but its work on imports so what is it gonna be, cheap? I wish they were a little more careful with my car, but after seeing 200000 cars in one day, its not personal and you get sick of it. I usually do my own work but they do diagnostic and some other things i cant do.

We brought a, new to us, vehicle in to get some information about the health of the vehicle. The report they provided after was very helpful for us to decide how to proceed with repairs or not. They also offered ways we could save money which is always a plus! We will definitely be returning.

Not only were they quick, they provided photos of potential issues i had asked to have investigated and went over the potential fixes and costs. An amazing experience with an amazing staff.

I am a hobbyist and I usually do all my work myself. I had an issue on my Tacoma with a high idle and could not solve it after my own diagnostics. Luke, the technician assigned to my truck was able to find an issue with my throttle body that I missed! He was very thorough and had pictures to document the issues I was having! I’ve never seen a shop keep such close tabs before and I’m super stoked that these guys do! If I get stumped in the future, the team at Import Auto will be my first call! Gabby at the front counter was also great to work with! Hats off to Luke and Gabby for the phenomenal service!

How this shop gets such great reviews is a mystery to me. While they are nice, they are very expensive compared to other repair shops, and twice now, they have gotten the diagnosis wrong on two of our vehicles. On this last occasion, I called them and asked if they would refund a portion of the $200 + they charged to misdiagnose the problem. The response was “Sorry our mechanic was less that precise in their diagnosis but we only warranty repairs”. A rather interesting choice of words for explaining away how he was outright wrong. Then I asked to speak with the owner, and was told they would review my information and get back to me. That was a month ago. All I can say is, if I had authorized them to do the repair, it would have been $2,200 spent for a problem that did not exist. FYI, other shops would have charged $1,500 to $1,800 for same repair if it had actually been needed. It would have been interesting to see what their explanation would have been if we had gone through with the repair, only to find it was something else. Their error cast us over $600 above what they charged. Suffice to say, two strikes is enough for us, we will not be taking our vehicles here in the future.RESPONSE:Dear Bryan,How unfortunate that you choose to implicate the costumer is confused (which I see you have done with other disgruntled reviews) rather than examine the issue and own up to the fact your shop made a mistake. Your shop “confirming the issue with the Transfer Case” is the PROBLEM! There is and was NOTHING wrong with Transfer Case, it was just fine.Prior to removing the Transfer Case (TC), I noticed the Drive Shaft was not compressing or extending. It was seized. I went ahead and replaced the Transfer Case ($625) anyways, based upon your shop’s diagnosis and because it was too late to return the TC. A $140 inspection by your Tech should have easily found this, since I am not an Auto Tech, just an Academic with common sense. That the TC was not the problem was triple confirmed through my bench testing, disassembly and installing a newly rebuilt TC, which as I expected, resulted in the exact problem still existing. The seized Drive Shaft was causing the spline to be pushed up into the TC under acceleration, hence making the loud grinding noise. So again, let me clear up YOUR confusion. We paid you to diagnose the problem. Your shops diagnosis of the TC being faulty was WRONG, not “less than precise”, but just plain WRONG. It had nothing to do with communication, misunderstanding or confusion on my part!Yes, I did authorize your shop to change the oil, adding another $70 onto the $140 for Misdiagnosing the problem, but this was based on YOUR Techs recommendation because your Tech still was not sure of the problem. Funny enough, that oil only had 50 miles on it, so how in the world was it “very dark and worn out and full of metal shavings” especially given how new it was? I saw no metal shavings or bad color in the sample left for me.My April 30th call was seeing about getting a portion refunded. They told me you were out of town till the following week. That gave you over 2 weeks to catch up on your call back list, but evidently you have such an extensive call back list that even 2 weeks was not enough. It took a bad review for you to contact me, albeit still no return phone call, only a lengthy response filled with inaccuracies that insinuates I am the confused one rather than own up to your shop having made a mistake.We ALL make mistakes, myself included! It’s what we do after the fact that separates the good from the bad. When I managed a construction company, we made mistakes, but we took care of our clients through apologies and compensation. We took responsibility and owned up to our mistakes rather than blame the costumer or make excuses. It is just the right thing to do, but telling the costumer they can call you back again if they want, rather than you call, speaks volumes.Given your response, I truly wish I could have given a Zero Stars review.

This is my favorite shop. I bring my 82 vanagon here for all its work. She spent a lot of time here at first because the last owner sat the van for over 10 years. After a lot of blood, sweat, and tears she runs great and I havent had problems. Brian and his crew will treat you well and do everything they can to get you back on the road.

I drive 140 miles one way to get car repairs from Import Auto My service was a great experience and Jake knew so much about what I was trying to say I immediately felt at ease leaving my rare classic slk roadster with them. The work is first hand and a free warranty. If youre not happy for any reason when you leave Import Auto you didnt speak up. 300 miles! These folks are professionals make no doubt about it.

Great shop. I appreciate that they perform a general inspection on your vehicle when you bring it in for an oil change. They’re very upfront with their findings and make sure to provide photos to show you the issues that they find. They also do great work with my vintage Volkswagen as well. I’d definitely recommend this shop to anyone interested in staying on top of their vehicle maintenance.

Had a great experience with this shop. I was test driving a car in the area and had them do a pre purchase inspection. They got the car in quickly, did a thorough check, charged a reasonable fee, were very knowledgeable, and were pleasant to deal with. What more could you ask for? If I lived nearby, I wouldnt hesitate to bring my vehicles here for service. And if need a shop in the Logan area again, theyll be my first call.

Import Auto is an amazing local mechanic business that supports community and provides wonderful business. Based on their reporting methods, one of their objectives is to provide transparency and understanding. They provide photos and detailed reports about what has been done or needs to be done.

First off, you call Import Auto and their customer service is off the charts. Not just for their industry, but any industry. I always feel like I am getting treated fairly, never pressured, and the work is high quality.

The work they do at import auto specifically Brian was great. My concerns are this. First theyre expensive, second my car was filthy inside and finally I had my car fixed by them a few months ago for a related item and this new problem was not discovered, result was I had to pay extra for towing and diagnosis.

I have a slightly obscure car and my part was unfortunately on back order from the manufacturer but the team at Import Auto were great about communicating with me constantly and making sure I stayed in the loop. They were very helpful and offered me a loaner car even though the delay was not their fault in any way. Their transparency and professionalism is some of the best Ive ever experienced.

This shop was recommended to me by various friends, especially for Subaru specific services. I took in our 04 Forester expecting an entire engine rebuild. Jake and Bryan were very thorough and transparent with their diagnosis and found out that we would not have to rebuild, but rather solve the actual underlying problem (saving me at least $1,000). They were quick to get the car in and had a great turn around time. They didnt charge or do any work without having a verbal confirmation from me. I didnt compare quotes with a ton of other shops, but I felt they charged quite high for labor. (-1 star) That being said, it was premium service and solution! The Forester is running better than ever! They are now my auto shop of choice in Cache Valley.

Import Auto has a lot of great things going for it:-Fantastic, friendly customer service and communication-Speedy repairs-2 Year warranty on repairs!The only downside is that they often try to oversell you. I took my Jeep Wrangler in last year to replace the master cylinder, which had a leak and was affecting the clutch power if not refilled constantly. They convinced me that since the labor was already so intensive, I may as well replace the whole clutch kit. I went for it because I was preparing to sell the Jeep anyways, but it was expensive. (Im kind of a push-over)When I bought my mustang I checked with them about an emissions inspection (legally costing no more than $20), and mentioned a ticking noise. They tried to sell me on a full safety inspection and analysis totaling around $130. Safety inspections are not required for registration with most vehicles anymore, so that was kind of an oversell.Anyway, theyre pretty good! Just be sure that you dont buy anything that you dont need.

There is auto repairs in cache valley, but import auto is (as far as I know) the best one. It is not cheap (not really expensive either) but you know what you paid for. The car is fixed, in time, by professionals

We are very happy with the service we have received at Import Auto. Staff are friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. We have Outbacks and they are now our go to service place. We trust them fully.

Great front desk service, they take the time to explain the issue and seem to always have the customers best interests in mind. The technicians Ive interacted with have been knowledgeable and professional. Only issue they have is theyre too good so it can sometimes take a couple days to get an appointment.Im not sure how their prices compare to the local competition, but I would gladly pay a small premium for the great service.

Brian is professional and great to talk to. He does a nice job laying out your options for you. I dont seem to get the sense that this shop is desperate for work, which helps avoid the Nickle and dime game. Ron is a great mechanic and has a good sense of humor! I recommend this shop, literally, I have passed out a few of their cards to my clients. Their prices arent the lowest in town, but they shouldnt be either.

Bryan is not only knowledgeable, he is honest. He will not tell you that you need repairs you do not need. I thought I had problems that would have cost me hundreds--he could have made the repairs but he was honest and told me that the repairs would not help my car you have a race care--there is nothing wrong with your shocks and struts (as I had been told) its going to ride rough because it is a sports car, let me recommend some good soft racing tires that you can get at (somewhere else). He could have replaced everything and charged me hundreds, but he lost in money, and gained integrity. This is why when he says I need something for my MB, I believe him. The shop charges a premium, but its absolutely worth it because you get what you need and its done with perfection. Import Auto provides an A+ spa treatment for your car. Ive never found a more honest or thorough mechanic--in the many states I have lived. I have no reason to go anywhere else, I trust Bryan implicitly. This is the place to go if you have a car worth taking care of, and want the best for it. You will not regret getting exactly what your car needs, no b.s. and have it done correctly. I recommend this shop to anyone who expects the best for their car.

Import Auto is amazing! Brian is very knowledgeable about MINIs and they are very transparent about everything they do and what the cost is. Jake is also an incredible employee and I always feel very welcomed when I drop in. I just had a really large, frustrating repair that took almost a month to complete, but I received multiple updates per week on the status of the repair and what had been done since the last update. I trust them fully with my car and they have earned a loyal customer for as long as I live in Logan. They use factory parts, so it can be a bit expensive, but still cheaper than the dealership. MINIs are temperamental cars and require a lot of attention and care, and they do a great job helping me with that!

This is one of the most honest and professional establishments I have ever done business with! The diagnostic was done in a reasonable amount of time for a very reasonable cost. I was provided with a detailed estimate for work and what the cause of each problem was. Bryan is so customer service oriented that I will refer everyone I know to this shop. They specialize in European vehicles and are certified to work on your Subaru too. I found this shop on accident and feel like I won the Lottery!!!!! The most courteous, knowledgeable, honest and professional mechanics I have dealt with. They maintain 3 vehicles for us and I would not take them to anyone else.

They are great to work with, honest and friendly. They completed the job quicker than expected and subtracted the time from the original estimate. The only issue there might be is that everyone else seems to know how good they are, so it might take a few days to get an appointment.
