If I could rate Timmons Volkswagen of Long Beach a zero, I absolutely would. My best friend purchased a 2021 Green VW Atlas SEL on February 1, 2021 and has consistently been brushed aside. Unfortunately, the staff are more attentive and responsive to their online reviews than they are to their actual customers. They appear to practice the ole bait and switch tactic. They get your money to bolster their bottom line and all of the niceties that you experienced upfront vanish. STEER CLEAR (pun intended)!
Went in to purchase a 2019 Jetta. The gentleman (who’s name escapes me) who test drove the car with us was amazing. He offered us several other warranty packages that he said we could add on to the $23k price. Then their “closer” Tony comes out with a paper full of chicken scratch. He didn’t even acknowledge that I was sitting at the table and began speaking only to my boyfriend. My boyfriend stopped him and said, “You might want to talk to her as she is buying the car.” Not even an apology, he began his spiel to me. He told me that the warranties that were once optional were now in the outdoor price of $32k. I pulled out my phone and showed him their online out the door price which was $26k. He frantically looked for “disclaimers” on my phone, then told me he needed to talk to his manager. He came back two different times before settling on the HONEST price. This man showed zero honesty or integrity. Not even an apology. To top it off, they didn’t even give us a full tank of gas when they handed the car to us. Not exactly the experience we were looking for. Buyer beware and do your homework!
Excellent customer service, beau and ley were amazing, explained everything excellently and guided me on every step towards getting my new car. 100% recommend this dealer.
Beau Belko was amazing. He was able to help me buy my dream car! He was super attentive and personal. He answered all of my questions and concerns. He also took the time to get to know me and make sure that this was the right move for me. Overall the best customer service I have ever experience while leasing or buying a care. Overall outstanding Team at Volkswagen Timmons. Once again thank you for everything Beau!
The team at Timmons of Long Beach are great! There are so many options on the market now in new car features and pricing but who has the time to wade through all the sales talk? Starting online, Joe at Timmons encouraged me to look at several models, asking about my driving needs; we talked about what I expected in my commute. When I recognized that the VW Taos checked all the boxes for me, I was ready to sit down and talk about pricing. Tony and I had a chat about financing options, trade-in, and the car loan my credit union offered. Just amazed that the Timmons team created financing with a golden rate the way they did! Tin walked me through the warranty, offering me options for my down payment. I drove away in my new car, satisfied that not only did I find what I was looking for, but I had found the right place for service and support. No one but Timmons!
I had been looking for a 2022 Metallic Gray Outback for a while, and I couldnt find one. On a Sunday, I visited Timmons just to check, and we were greeted by Kyle, the car sales guy. He was nice and showed us the Outbacks. I told him what I was looking for, and he stated that a Metallic Gray was coming soon, so we went inside his office, and he confirmed the date. He said, I can call you when it arrives. He was expecting the vehicle tomorrow Monday. He called me on Wednesday and told me that the vehicle had arrived, so we arranged a time to go see the vehicle on Friday. He said he would hold the car. He didnt ask for a deposit to hold it or anything.Based on how he presented himself, I thought he could hold it for me to go see it. Like I said, he never asked me to put a deposit or anything like that. But I guess you should never trust a car sales guy, because the day I was supposed to see the car, he called me and told me that the car had been sold the day before. He claimed he was gone for the day, and the car was sold without him knowing. However, if there was such risk, then a deposit should have been requested to secure the vehicle. He just didnt do what he promised he would do, and he did not care about maintaining trust with the customer. He didnt even offer an apology or anything like that. Horrible experience. Salespeople have not changed, and they are still scum. At the end, they lose because they tarnish their own reputation. Yes, I was upset, and I didnt get that vehicle, but I can go somewhere else, which I did, and I was lucky to find one at Subaru of Monrovia, and I bought it on Friday!I can only tell you to avoid this place because of my experience. However, you may get a different (better or worse) experience. You just never know with car dealerships and car sales people. This is why they are becoming extinct. You cant trust them with what they tell you. It has been a while since Ive been to a dealership, but they havent changed. They are fake and dont care about customers or their reputation with customers. I am so glad I dont have to deal with these people in a long time. Good luck!_______________________________________________________________________In reply to the owners note below:I understanding the current situation with availability of vehicles. However, Kyle, could have asked me to put a deposit to hold the vehicle, and things would have been fine. He made me believe that he could hold the car for me since it was a matter of a day from when the vehicle arrived. He was aware that I was waiting and willing to purchase the vehicle. It was a very disappointing experience, and I was not given the chance to purchase the vehicle, when in fact I had been waiting for that specific vehicle to arrive. You should train your salespeople to ask for a deposit if their word to hold a vehicle does not mean anything at the end.
Car buying sure can be stressful and I tend to dread it a bit. We just got home after a long day of car shopping. Just when we were about ready to give up, we saw a car at Timmons that was well priced and the color and model we wanted (a white VW Tiguan). We called and Mike answered the phone. He was very helpful from the beginning. We asked him what the price would be out the door and he needed to call us back with final figures. Within ten minutes he called us back and told us how much we would be spending out the door. We had to drive over an hour to get there and arrived close to their closing time. Mike had the car ready for us to test drive and when we got back we sat down to purchase. The transaction was flawless. They did not add on any extra fees and didnt pressure us into security systems or extended warranties. We worked with Cy to sign the documents and he also was nice and easy to work with. We were planning on paying cash but he got us a great deal to finance so we ended up financing part of the vehicle. I would recommend this place to ANYONE. We were in and out within an hour or so and the car even was cleaned up and filled with gas when we drove off the lot! THANK YOU FOR A GREAT CAR BUYING EXPERIENCE!
The car dealership had very poor communication with me throughout my entire experience. My car was being serviced and supposed to be done after one or two days. I had to call them to ask about my car they said it would be done that day and then I never received a call. It was done the next day. Took a total of four days to be completed and I had to call I wasn’t contacted to be updated. I was also overcharged from the original quote the “diagnostic fee” was supposed to be deducted from the total which it wasn’t. I had a bad experience and will not be coming back here. Really slow service. I was a returning customer until now.
This place is amazing! Sales representative Jim De Silva helped me with my first car purchase of a brand new 2020 Jetta SEL Premium for an amazing price. He got me exactly what I wanted and worked with my budget. I got everything I asked for plus more. He saved me thousands of dollars on this vehicle and provided the best customer service I could have received. He is definitely willing to work with you on a price that you will be happy with and has so much patience. I couldn’t be more pleased with the service I received. Make sure you ask for Jim De Silva at Timmons VW!
Beau was one of the best salespersons I ever met, super communicative. Always responded in a timely fashion and answered any and all questions I had. Overall the rest of the staff was friendly and accommodating.
Come in for to see if I can get a small part changed or the whole window regulator. Ended up paying money for a unnecessary diagnosis, yet I already knew what the problem was to begin with. Feel a bit robbed. Be careful with these service advisors. Ill be looking elsewhere for my repairs from now on.
I want to take the time to Thank Beau Belko he was very helpful and had a lot of Patience and very good customer service towards me I’m a very Peaky buyer . We did a trade in deal walk out with the car of my dreams ….100 % recommended!!! 🙂🚙👍🏻
This is an awesome car dealer.great service 100/10 stars. They aren’t like other car dealers. The people there are great I’m so happy with my car. If you are looking for a car this is your place.
Bo was great. We have not bought a car yet. He was helpful
I am a loyal family member of Volkswagen since the 1970s and I think highly of the brand but I was dissasfied with my service at Timmons of Long Beach. There was an issue with my grab handle and they wanted to run a full diagnostic. That doesnt make sense and I will not be returning.
I plan a lengthy drive soon. I stopped by Timmons, expecting to make an appointment to get my Jetta checked out and okd for the venture. David, in the service department, surprised me when he said, hand me your keys and have a seat. Someone will check it out and let you know in a moment.Quickly someone was handing me my keys and telling me everything looks great. I could not sing their praises any louder. Excellence. Thanks everyone.
Great salesman Edger helped us last week when we came in looking for Tiguan. He helped us choose the right car for us considering the color, features and trim. After going for test drive Edger worked the deal professionally considering the trade-in car we used to get to the dealership. I am very happy with the experience at the Timmons VW, honestly exceeded my expectations. I would recommend this place and salesman Edger for getting new car.
As a VW dealership and VW service, this is a highly recommended place compared to the other nearby dealership... *cough cough cerritos*.
This dealership has a lot of positive feedbacks and couldve earned my business but they lack communication. I brought my car here for appraisal and they checked my car, got compliments from it and after that they told me that they would send me an email to get a final quote for the appraisal. I waited a couple days but I did not get anything from them. Got a text message from R asking what they could do to earn my business and I told them that they havent sent me the appraisal quote yet. After that, he did not reply and I never got any other response from them which is a bummer and pretty much disappointing because it turns out that I was just waiting for nothing.
Not alot of cars to choose from...The staff was not working in my favor. I am not paying for a vehicle just to get them a sale. Hope they workout for you.
Make sure to deal with mike vw specialist knows vw from a to z
My family has been going to Timmons VW since I was still in the womb, and all I can say is that everyone at this dealership is pretty much family at this point. Every car we have ever owned has been from here, and I dont think I will go anywhere else. Jim De Silva helped me with my brand new 2021 Jetta GLI Autobahn, and I am absolutely in LOVE with it! He helped me choose the exact car I was looking for and I was able to go home with the brand new car the same day. Knowing that Ive grown up to watch this place flourish with amazing people who help my family and others with purchasing top quality vehicles is truly the greatest part of the experience. 10/10 would recommend to a friend and every one else!
They always take care of my car. Staff is friendly
This is my first and will be my last time ever coming here for service. I recently purchased a vw car and brought it here for service. Before coming I called for estimate a day before just to make sure I wouldn’t get a different price upon arrival. 1. Came got the paper different price. 2. I was told 1 hour and it’s now 2 hours waiting here no call no answers and asked to speak to the representative who helped me and additional wait time in here 20 minutes and counting . I had to ask the receptionist twice to get him. Then never was it mentioned the car would be there all day until 5pm and when I asked a gentleman said “ do you need your car?” Yes if I would have been told it would be here all day I would have asked for options or a loaner car or would have brought it another day. Being my first time which I told the gentleman was my first time he should have advices the time and giving me options.
The sales team work well together to give each customer a great all-round experience. We really enjoyed chatting with Mitch, the sales manager. Very happy with the car we purchased from them. Thanks
Eddie was a good guy, very attentive. They had one car we liked, but was priced too high. Didnt see any reason to buy from there. We bought a nicer vehicle for about 40% less from another dealer
Me have been shopping for a grey 2020 Jetta SEL Premium and found what we were looking for and the assistant sales manager Tim attempted to make us a great deal that was only 10 to 20 dollars off but i guess when it come to closing time or close to it the customer is no longer valuable. Sad to say we got the brush off insted of them making arrangements to sell us the car at a latter time. And the Sales manager is very short to assist if its not a slam dunk sale hes very quike to brush you off without even giving you the time of day. He was more concerned and upset that he had to move offices at least thats what he told me. They have three of the 2020 year models identically equipped cars on the lot for several months but not interested in selling them at near closing time even though we have already been aproved. Im going to try to reach out the the owner and see if he carescares about customers.
Dealt with Alex Viray. Not the best. They used to have really great people in the service department which is why Ive driven further to go to them. I dont know what happened but I wasnt happy this time
Went in today for routine maintenance because I had previously had a good experience. There was no pricing when I made the online appointment but I have their VW Service card so I wasnt worried. They give me the price when I get there and it is almost 400, but I thought Id be okay because my card limit was more than enough. They are checking me out and tell me they cant use the service card. This was not mentioned at any point prior to performing service, there are no notices indicating they arent currently taking service cards posted anywhere in the service center or dealership, there isnt even a notice posted on the service card website. Their customer service response was basically you are SOL, youll have to pay in another way and theres nothing we can do about it.I cannot Express enough that I do not recommend this location. The service guys themselves are great, they do a good job and are very friendly. But ending up stranded and having to spend 400$ I wasnt expecting to have to pay out at once is a gut dread feeling I never want to repeat.
Great customer service, they assist and help you in the best of their ability. Direct to the point and no false ads. They gave you the best deal. Highly recommended ...
Everything went smoothly and quickly! Everyone was nice and provided me with the information I needed for my car. Thank you!
Great Salesman: Brandon! This is an unfortunate review because the sales rep: Brandon was outstanding. Very down to earth, very helpful and informative, and to be quite frank I wanted to buy the VW Cross Sport directly from him...until other people got involved on his transaction.I visited this location on 02/26/2021 and was prepared to purchase this vehicle even at the rate exceeding my original budget. Brandon allowed me to test drive the vehicle and play with all the features of the vehicle. It was not until we returned and another sales rep (Trainer) got involved and the manager with their secret meeting.I arrived with a pre-approval from my bank; bank draft in hand so it would seem this should be a fairly simple process. No need for dealership financing, money down, etc. I have the entire amount ready to go; now you would imagine it should be as simple as us agreeing on a price, me making the check out to them, and VW handing me the keys and any necessary paperwork. The other sales rep kept proceeding to ask me for my SSN because he was stating they needed it for verification purposes? as well as inquiring about the interest rate I received from my bank and the length of my loan which quite frankly is rude and irrelevant to this transaction. I presume this is an attempt to beat that rate with their financing.Overall, Brandon, although still brand new to this business (2 months) seemed competent enough to not have several other sales persons encroach on his sale for training purposes and the next time someone shows up with a damn check in hand; Id probably take it, maybe even get me a glass of champagne while Im waiting perhaps. In the future, it is ok to provide your customer with information that may help in making their decision but attempting to demean the situation as fi theyre making a bad decision for not saving money is not a professional way to conduct business.as for Brandon (Sales Rep); if youre reading this contact me so we can discuss better opportunities that may suit you as a professional communicator and overall good person.
Great test drive experience!
They quote something else on the phone but change their price once you visit their showroom
Conceptually similar to my experience with Enterprise Rent-A-Car but not necessarily alike, Timmons is a privately owned vehicle dealership business that has been around for decades whereas Enterprise is believed to be a franchise owned vehicle rental and purchase shop that may have been around for perhaps less if not equal timing as Timmons? Ill be frank, Ive been to numerous car dealerships and have had far better and satisfying purchases at the end but I will admit to a highway robbery deal I was inadvertently stuck by this insensitive and heartless place I swear I will never ever think to purchase a vehicle from this place ever again! Sorry, I wish life were at times made up of fairytales for at least a bit longer but unfortunately this part of my life was indeed a nightmare I would never somehow forget!Granted although upon a lease/purchase I settled for, the service department that serviced my Volkswagen did do a superb job every single time we took the vehicle there for service at least for the first 3 years we leased and eventually purchased the vehicle. Slightly after so many thousand miles of driving we took the vehicle in religiously for upkeep maintenance, and as the COVID-19 battle in the economy took place, suddenly not only did this global pandemic rearrange all of the countrys progress and peoples lives, Id suppose Timmons, like all other businesses that were kept open, had its share of downsizing to a point where their services went from 10, the best in services moreorless in my eyes, to lingering in the below 5 category as worse case scenario.I would say nothing really gets past the owner that easily and thus he takes the glory of this companys fab days and nestles-in on the worse taking the blame for everything that goes on at Timmons!
Went in for a tune up. One of their “technicians” broke a coil trying to get to the spark plug and tried to get me to pay for it cause they thought I didn’t know my car. Never again. Bunch of thieves. You guys could’ve just owned up to your mistake and replaced it without telling me about it and you could’ve kept a customer. But instead you tried to steal from me and so now everyone gets to hear about it
I did an inquiry on auto trader and Ryan from Timmons called me to discuss a new GTI I was looking for. He was very nice not pushy and we chatted for a bit he texted me a few more times and my partner and I went to see it . Met with Ryan and Jeisson they were very nice. Timmons is a very relaxed dealership environment. It’s not the formal type of place which I found refreshing. We literally discussed the details standing in the lobby and i put a deposit down. Over the next few days we had a few bumps how I should best finance and I decided to go with their bank and got a slightly better rate. I would definitely recommend this VW dealership . My next Volkswagen I will definitely look here first ! Talk to Ryan he’s really good at hearing your needs .
We just found one the few open and honest no hassle car salesman Gheorghe(pronounced George)Petrescu. We stopped by Timmons of Long Beach VW two weeks ago looking for an VW Atlas. They did not have the color my wife wanted but Gheorghe took our information and said he would look for it and let us know if he finds it. A week later while at our sons soccer game in my in-laws borrowed RAV4 I recieved an email that would change everything. It was Gheorghe letting us know he had found the rare yellowish/gold color my wife wanted. After the game we drove to Timmons of Long Beach greeted by our hero Gheorghe. We of course crunched the numbers and he made a great deal on our VW Atlas. He was so thorough combined with our research it made for what was the best car buying experience we have ever had. To the managers at Timmons of Long Beach Volkswagen please know Gheorghe was the sole reason why we made our VW Atlas purchase, hes absolutely AWESOME. Kudo Gheorghe and thank you so much.Mulțumesc
This is the the BEST Dealer car Place,in USA 🤗 very good people
Popularity Contest sent me. He said great things
They fix my unexpected recall thank you
This is best car dealership. From start to finish take less then 45 min. Love Michael and Edwin. Timmons best choose
Not impressed with the level of service. I took my car multiple time, which was a huge inconvenience to me and they never seemed to find the issue. Clearly it was a defective part but only after several times, they finally decided to replace it. Also when I first purchased the car they were suppose to spend time reviewing the options of my “new car” but yet they were too busy - selling other cars. Even making an appointment didn’t work - the individual that was supposed to meet with me was no longer available on my appointment time, and of course no one else was available because they were too busy selling cars. It’s not that I “needed” to have someone go over the car options, but when you buy a premium car and are made promises, I will hold you to your word. Clearly, their words are just words with no action. I’d take my business elsewhere.
Good service from KD?
If I could give 0 stars. Horrible customer service. And slower workers. Not one greet when I walk in. Then I went to go pick up a part, from the part department. No one in line Im the only one in line. I see the worker on the phone. Im like ok, Ill wait until his done. Once he done hanging up the Phone, Im like maybe he going to get the phone customer their parts and stuff. Nope. He just walking around and talking to his coworkers. Im like 5 min standing there waiting. Im like hello, then he responded. He could of at least ask did someone help you. Horrible service
Don’t waste your time. If you want bad deals and rude service then enjoy!
Great service here! You will leave happy
Had an 8 o clock appointment but was left waiting in the car for 45mins before being checked up on. Person that did take care of me very informative and called me as soon as he found out the problems with my car. Communication and professionalism was great !!! But the long wait and not being acknowledged kept me from giving a 5stars
Great guys. Good deal. Easy time. (And they had the game on)
Popularity Contest YouTube sent me.
I hate going to a dealer for parts but Timmons is good, the parts department can find any part you need and friendlier than other places Ive been to.
What I will say here.... Service coupons and Courtesy Certificates are frowned upon at Timmons of Long Beach. On 4 occasions now, I have received emails to come in and service with Timmons with courtesy coupons, everything from Tire Rotation to Courtesy Oil Change. Everything single time I have been treated as I was doing something fraudulent by bringing those coupons in to be claimed. This last meeting, honestly, I only came because I got a letter for a recall on my Jetta. But, because an email came in on a Courtesy Oil Change just for signing up with Timmons on resale info, I took the bait again. This time, I had to give a voice to reason. Being totally apologetic afterward for raising the level of my tone in frustration, it was unfortunate that I had to call out the lack of customer service here. One occasion, ok, it happens. Every time though, ouch. I would say, just beware of claiming coupons, or better yet, go straight to the sales dept. have them acknowledge the authenticity of the coupon before you have a service ticket wrote up, it would be in your best interest to have all your ducks lined up so you dont ruin your day. I would say to Timmons, everyone should be on the same page if sales is luring customers in for service with coupons to tell Customer Service there is a possibility Customers will be coming in to claim those coupons, that way, if a quote is issued or a coupon is sent out, there is no consistent confusion, or making customers feel certain ways because they are presenting something issued by the company. Love German engineering, but may have to find another place to frequent for services. Never go spend dollars at a place that refuses to make you feel like it was a pleasure to gain your hard-earned currency in exchange for services rendered. ✌️
Always Excellent Professional Friendly Service. Thank you Technician Robert Tello and Team Members.
Great customer service
My last yr.s rating was positive but this year, the positive rating have slipped to average....Not negative yet. I attempted to schedule my annual car service a day before online but the website for service scheduling was down. This am., they conveyed to me 2 hr wait. (Service opened at 0800hrs, it is 0840am). One guy @ Service desk, 5 persons in line. 😕
Very limited in the basic customer support functions. Courtesy shuttle did drive the 7.4 miles to drop me off, however they informed me that they would nor be able to pick me upEnded up riding my 12 year old daughters skateboard for the event
Jennifer helped my girlfriend get the crosstrack of her dreams. She is a total professional, thorough and straightforward, no shenanigans. Ive purchased many cars in my life both petsonally and for my business and they do it right at Timmons!
William Huynh, you and your team were wonderful! From the moment we stepped on the lot, we were treated with the utmost courtesy and respect. I actually thought for a moment that you might have mistaken us for relatives of the owner of the company.Needless to say, we are very happy with the level of courtesy, professionalism, and respect throughout the transaction. And that goes for every single person involved. And we drove off with the vehicle of our choice at a price we could afford!
Very bad service.
Bought my Jetta last night and I have to say I was a bit nervous but I honestly have never had a better experience, they treated us like family, they were personable, professional, prompt and courteous. I got the deal they promised from beginning to end. Thank you all, Jeisson, Jesse and Mario. I will definitely be back and anyone wanting to buy a car will be referred to you.
I saw the low review stars but still tried to work with them. Definitely a mistake: they didnt honor the quote they provided by email. A complete waste of my time.
Horrible and unprofessional employees... a week ago they said over the phone that it was ok to coming through out the day and they can do a simple oil change on my car and when I get there they say that they cant cause of the appointments ahead of and that their technician leave at 430.. when it’s barley 2pm.. and the manager that is unprofessional and doesn’t even bother to stick his head out of his little booth, i must say that this customer service is the reason why I won’t even do business with them ever or even trade in my lease, I will go to another Subaru dealer and take me business there... so what this company needs to do is give there employees an in services and teach how to deal with customers and how to not to give smart little comments to their customers..
Dylan (Sales Associate) and Mike (Finance Manager) made the process enjoyable start to finish. Its was a no-pressure experience which was a rarity on my quest for a car. And the dealership was willing to negotiate, which was also not common in this most recent search. Ill be referring others to Dylan for sure. Love my new (first) VW!
The service writers need to brush up on their customer service skills its something hugely to be desired
Love Timmons service. They serviced my Jetta and it was less than I expected. Everyone is so so friendly. Love seeing all the VW cars they have on the lot. So pretty!
I just purchase my new car on Timmons of Long Beach. Great place from my sales rep Dylan Mullaney that help me pick the right model to Joe Ramos that did an exceptional job with the finance my experience was great over all. Definitely coming back when i need to get a new car
Sorry to tell you the negative reviews are true. Theres a reason people give this service department low ratings.I was so upset with the way I was treated I would have gladly gone to another dealership if I wasnt pressed for time.I recommend you try another service department for your VW.I can honestly say they dont care about you here. They just want you to pay money and leave.I will never return. Myself and my passat deserves better.
They dont work with you youre better off going to DriveTime if your credits not that good
Everyone in Timmons that we had the opportunity to work with treated us with the utmost respect and consideration. I have nothing but praise for Jeisson (salesman), and Miles (finance). I must admit that when my wife asked me to see if I could upgrade our VW Jetta to a VW Tiguan as it was very difficult for us to get in and out of the Jetta. Our daughters had warned us that would more than likely happen if we downsized. I felt that only having the Jetta for 3 months would mean that I would lose considerable amount of money. Yes it costs us more but not near what I had expected. Hats off to Timmons Volkswagen. I look forward to any future needs we may have.
I love my protein burger, nice young people working there
Good service department but pricing is getting too high. They are aspiring to charging Porsche-like service department prices for maintenance. Timmons could offer more discounts or coupons like other dealers.
Need a part for your car. Go here. Either they have it or will order it if possible. If your part is still being made. I have a 97 VW Jetta. And I go her as much as possible.
Had a good experience with them. Michael, the salesman, was great, so was the manager. Still waiting on some pedals to come in which is understandable, but other than that everyone Ive dealt with so far has been pleasant.
Not bad
Volkswagen really helped me out, Love this place. Jimmy was great throughout the entire process, and explained everything very well. Im am confident VW has my back!
I have never had a problem with volkswagon dealership until now. My anti-brake system locked up on Sunday and they said they can’t even look at my car until Wednesday and they’re telling me that no one else can fix the problem. The guy that I talk to on the phone is so cocky and he has a bad attitude. I have taken my car to this place on multiple occasions with no appointment And now they’re telling me that I can’t bring my car unless I have an appointment which is totally fine but the fact that the appointment is two days later when I need my anti-locks lifting on my brakes now doesn’t make any sense to me. I have to go to work and I can’t because they won’t even look at my car to tell me the problem. I paid $388 in March of 2018 for my back brakes and rotors. When I called they said they can’t do anything because my warranty has passed. I’m soo done with this dealership. They over charge and tell me I can’t take my car anywhere else because they’re the only ones that can fix the problem. I’m overly upset but I can’t do anything about it.
Ive been a Timmons of LB customer for 10 years. They provide the best service and truly care about all of their customers. I feel like part of the timmons family :) I like that they dont have a high employee turnover. Its nice to see and deal with the same amazing employees every time Im out there. I was there today getting some work done on my car and a few of the employees were happy to see me and remembered that I am a regular customer. Their service department is also great. They get really busy so its best to make an appointment whenever you need to go. The cashiers are always friendly. Their merchandise is always updating and changing. Everytime I go there I end up walking out with new merchandise. Overall just a great dealership. Glad I can count on my Timmons family for all my VW needs. :)
Who is ready for story time about the, unfortunate, scam that is this dealership?I went with my family to this dealership to look at a vehicle that we did our research of online, ahead of time. We asked for Jesse in Customer Care. Jesse came out and immediately handed us off to George, a very nice older gentleman.Once we saw the vehicle, it was just as pictured and the price was as listed. Awesome! It was a very beautiful deal, to be honest. We felt so fortunate that we could finally afford to get my sister into the type of vehicle we had endlessly been searching to find for weeks. However, right off the bat, our salesperson, George, was very odd. He kept insisting on showing us the different features of the vehicle that we were already familiar with. Wanted to take the time to show us how to use ApplePlay, even though we made it clear that we were very familiar with how to use it. But he was nice, so we remained patient and just let him go on with his spiel. In the end, the car was just as we had hoped, so we told George that we wanted to move forward with the sale!George started off by explaining how great this deal was (we know, that is why we are meeting with you), he then went on to explain that cars sell quickly there (again, makes sense as we are already trying to purchase this car from you), he then goes on to trying to calculate the numbers on a blank piece of paper for us of what we will probably pay. We finally just made it clear that all was fine, we wanted to move forward with the financing for the purchase!!We were in the process of filling out the financing paperwork when another salesperson came over to our table and told George that he needed the keys to the car we were working on the paperwork for. George then grabbed them off of the table and handed them to the other guy. We finished up the financing paperwork. George said he would be right back and took our paperwork to his “financing guy.” He then, came back (only 3 - 5 minutes later) & tried to sell us a warranty, saying that they had not reached out to the banks yet and wanted to go over the pricing. My parents said that they were not interested in the warrenty. George walked back to the financing guy. 1-2 minutes later, he came back & informed us all that the vehicle had been sold. (Mind you, the other guy had just grabbed the keys from us like 15 minutes prior!!) How did someone else look at, test drive, and fill out all of the necessary paperwork in that time frame? Even if they had cash. That was super quick. We were all super crushed and frustrated! How do you sell a car that people are in the middle of doing paperwork for?? Still, we told George we understood and thanked him for his help anyways. We were no worse off than when we had arrived there, or so we thought. He asked if he could help us look at other vehicles? He wanted to help get my sister into a car still. We told him, no thank you as we had done extensive research on this specific car ahead of time.We leave, we go get dinner, we get home and my mom goes on her Credit Karma app to discover that they ran her credit!!!!! They ran her credit for financing of a vehicle they were in the process of selling to someone else!!!!! What a joke. Here is the scam that we think they like to play:They use a too-good-to-be-true deal to get people down to their dealership to open up financing. Then tell you that the car with the great deal is no longer available in hopes that yoy will still buy something else from them. (Maybe this is triggered by people denying their warranty even? Because things quickly changed once we turned down the warrenty.) We are not sure. But we are livid at the fact that we cant just walk away from this crummy situation with a clean slate. Now my moms credit score is being affected. We are super reasonable, patient, and understanding people. This is just unacceptable. Also, as a side note, when my mom called to speak with Jesse about this mark on her Credit score, he hung up on her.
Very helpful. I was in a pinch and they helped me out ASAP. Good price. Very pleased.
Great customer service in parts and good prices
Real friendly staff. Eager to help you out but not too aggressive. Came in interested in the new Golf and had a lot of my questions answered. Gonna do some more shopping around for different brands but if I do decide to go with the Golf, definitely coming back!
This is the best buying experience you could ask for. Friendly staff and easy process. Gave me a quote before I made the trip over. Completely satisfied.
They offered me the best deal fot Tiguan S and Jetta SE, super nice and helpful. Highly recommended. You can get much better deal and amazing services compare to Santa Monjca VW
This place is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!! I came up here yesterday to look at a used car offer. A guy named Kyle G comes up and introduces himself to me and tells me if I need anything to let him know. Kyle was so helpful literally he went above and beyond to make sure any questions or concerns that came up were addressed and that Id be taken care of. Kyle G goes even a step beyond lots of other car salesmen because he genuinely loves what he does and it shows! Kyle is such a blessing to the Timmons family and I want everyone to know how much of a blessing he can be for the world! I bought the car the very next DAY! Couldnt have done it without you Kyle G and Abay the finance guy!! You guys have my business for life I have looked around and not single car dealership salesman is more invested in seeing you in the car of your dreams than Kyle G thanks bro!
DO NOT COME HERE!Dont take your VW here unless you want them to work on it for at least a month, charge you for something you didnt need, then tell you it was actually a factory defect... So you shouldnt have had to receive and paid for any service at all since its under wareanty. My husband and I did a run around for about a month over the engine light. Alex was the one who worked with us in the service department. He was a nice guy but we feel taken advantage of and led on. They misdiagnosed our car a couple of times and now the Bluetooth and Android auto have suddenly disappeared. They have lost our customer loyalty and trust. We Very, very disappointed.DO NOT COME HERE!
Well $321.00 for a key that unfortunately was stolen. Not only is a rip-off but they take 4 days to give it to you and with an attitude when you ask why are they not have it ready when they promise (they stated your are more than welcome to get mad if you like). I’m not sure why they say first in customer service when you call.Unfortunately we also bought a car there. We will not go back and are very disappointed at this dealer. We like to support Long Beach businesses that’s why we come here. Big mistake!
We drove all the way from OC to LB to get an amazing deal from this dealership, if you are looking to get a a VW this is the place you should go. The manager, Sunn cooperated and negotiated well. Ask for this salesmen Micheal, he shows you all cars and explain perfectly all details, and also Jessy was helpful. Thank you and see you for our next purchase!
Awesome!!! Kelli always takes care of the services required in a pleasant, cheerful and professional manner. I continue to go to Timmons because I know I matter as a customer and I am always more than satisfied with the outcome!!! Thank you Kelli and the Timmons team!
I Bought my 2007 New Beetle back when I first purchased it brand new. I had no intention of buying a new car that day I was just coming by to crunch some numbers and be on my way, but little did I know they worked every thing out and just like that I drove my brand new Beetle home. They were friendly and were very helpful. Every time I take my Bug in for service they always asked me about my Bug and what other things that I have done with it. My Bug has also been active with their annual toy jam event for about 7 years now as well as other VW shows. I thank Timmons Volkswagen for the help and support that I need I will definitely get another Volkswagen from them in the near future.
Unsatisfied. I am a very savvy business professional. The service I recieved today was unacceptable.
Purchased my first car from Robert at Timmon’s VW. He was very friendly, honest and down to earth - he even helped me setup my radio before leaving! Very excellent service, friendly employees, and fair prices. I would definitely recommend this dealership.
I dont know how they got such good reviews about their service when they dont even acknowledge your service request on line and phone call. Tried to set up oil service Saturday 11/24/18 and got ignored. Called this morning and never got a call back. Finally received a call back. Didnt even get an apology after I explained my disappointment. Instead, i was asked if i still wanted to make the appointment or not.
Avoid if you can. I bought a golf gti and wont soon repeat the experience. It took 4 hours of waiting before we could complete the paperwork for the purchase. This is after we decided what we wanted, then called ahead to ask if they would take the TrueCar price advertised, were assured they would, and then we headed over there. We were not allowed to see the person we talked to on the phone. We were subjected to a salesperson scribbling lots of numbers on a blank piece of paper (not an official form or brochure) to describe all their additional charges, including a $1000 restocking fee. Then lots of waiting. Lots of excuses and it will be just a few more minutes.More waiting.More assurances.More waiting, the whole time in their plastic chairs at a table in the showroom that smelled of new car smell in a very overwhelming way. Never shown to a more comfortable area to wait.Started to wonder if I could escape... but wed decided to buy the car and wanted it.4 hours!!!!!!It got even worse. When we finally had the papers to sign, they had added additional charges for an extended warranty additional service plan we didnt ask for. When we said we didnt want it, the salesperson said he had to go ask the manager and insinuated they would no longer sell us the car. Unbelievable. Not everyone is a hardass that loves a good staredown negotiating session, we dont like being taken advantage of.Then, waited four more hours for the color gti we wanted to be delivered from a neighboring dealership. This experience ruined the joy of getting a new car. Go here if you want your day and week ruined.
Terrible Terrible will never go be back to have my car serviced
Its very hard to communicate with anyone but I have to say the last visit was excellent
They were super supportive of my situation. I had troubles with my security lock (lug nut removal was damaged)on my tires and couldn’t even change a spare. VW doesn’t sell the exact replacement. Frustrated and upset, given the amount of time this consumed me, they helped remove all my security nuts complimentary and help me get my car back on the road.If it wasn’t for them, I’d be very disappointed with VW.Great team. Second time I have been there.
Very bad experience buying a new car at Timmons.Negotiated the price over the phone and was given sale prices, OTD price and complete breakdown of dealer fees and taxes. Made an appointment to pick up the car and was assured by the sales person there would not be any “surprises”.That sales person (Roz) was not at the dealership when we arrived, but the manager (Eric) found her notes and presented an offer that was $1000 more that we agreed upon. Actual sale price was the same as negotiated, but they added some $1000 BS service fee to it. The explanation was that she “forgot” to add mandatory fee to a final cost. Of course that lady was nowhere to be foundDo not waste your time at Timmons.
