The foods was good but slightly mediocre. The eggs benedict was good but nothing special. The service however was great!

Love this little cafe. We were in Long Beach to shop...Labor day... and wanted coffee! Well to be honest we were hungry and decided to skip our IF for the day. A little wait confirmed this was the right spot. Brunch was delicious and the service excellent. If the SERVICE is great youll be happy and this food was great so all good😊

Had to do shopping in the area and needed to grab a bite to eat. My partner and I did a quick Google search and found this spot. They did not disappoint. Despite how busy it was, the staff kept up. They had one waitress (Erica) working the busy floor and she did it with a smile on her face the entire time. I was impressed. I could not leave without complimenting her. We will definitely return whenever were in the area.

This place is awesome!! Super cute and locally owned. They go out of their way to help you. The owner is walking around and making sure the food and place is good. Super dog friendly and family friendly. The food was just fine as well.

Wonderful breakfast spot in downtown Seal Beach ... grab the heuvos rancherous with verde sauce ... amazing ... then stoll to the pier and enjoy the views and ocean air

Small cafe with great service. The food was yummy. I had the veggis omelets with fruit and hashbrowns. The fruit was surprisingly a good variety of watermelon, berries and melons. Omelet was delicious and not over cooked. Coffee was hot and freshly brewed. Outside sitting has little fans to keep the flies off.Happy Chomping

The Small Cafe is great!!! The recent remodel has been such an improvement. It has been totally updated & has a great atmosphere. We love going there for the chilaquiles! Love that salsa they have on it because we love it spicy. This is a definite RTR Must Do. If you are in the area make sure you stop by. The owners & staff are always so friendly & welcoming. Our Coaching family meets at this Cafe every Wednesday from 9 to 11. Sometimes theres 7 of us Sometimes theres 20, the staff is always friendly and welcoming to our group! Great place, great food, great service.

Good quiet spot with attentive servers, good coffee and great music. A little road noise but what can you do? I had the Eggs Florentine and had avocado added to it. Very good meal. My wife had the ABC omlette and it was also great. Erica was on it and a great server. We were the first table and 7 tables sat before we left. Wait staff was hustling and slinging coffee. We are on our honeymoon and it was a very nice experience. 4 stars because I could have used a little more hollandaise and options to hashbrowns.

HIGHLY recommended!! The vegan skillet was EXCELLENT - and I opted for the toasted squaw bread to go with it. Well be back soon! 🏎🏎

Decent prices, good food, very friendly staff, strong coffee, and very welcoming. I originally walked in to order a coffee to go but ended up having breakfast there because the place was so welcoming (nice decor) and the staff was so friendly (I saw them laughing and talking to their regulars). They also had the news on and my waitress frequently asked if I needed anything else. I ordered loaded hash browns (see pic) and they were delicious. It tasted home cooked, and the coffee was nice and strong. Ill definitely be coming back.

Good fresh food, but not worth what I paid and the wait was pretty long, all in all seems cozy spot to hang out at and they do have a dog friendly patio. Id eat here again 😀

We wanted to support our local restuarant but the food is average but the service the last two visits was awful. Waitresses were too busy socializing and ignored other customers. We wont be returning.

This is a well-loved neighborhood favorite. It’s a classic coffee shop, the burgers are the same burger served when the restaurant was Russell’s and they are the best! Served with hash browns just like the 80’s. Friendly waitresses, cash only.

Food was amazing, the Not So Basic Burger was delicious. Hand made patty, quality meat, buns, fresh fresh fresh. The Works Hasbrowns were awesome as well (basically chili fries). Gotta give it a 5 star, server was amazing but she was by herself on a Saturday night and before Christmas. Getting in and out wasnt happening, but everything was good overall.

The food at small cafe is always fresh and delicious and the service is friendly. My family and I have been coming for a few years now. The corned beef hash is about the best Ive ever had. Hubby loves the benedict. My kids have never complained about their order. Really a great little breakfast spot. They do serve.dinner and lunch as well. I personally have stuck to the breakfast menu.

I asked a couple of young ladies I met at the local Mothers Beach, Where is the best restaurant near here? They where both very friendly; graciously offered me some of their french fries and half a sandwich. It turned out that one of them owned the restaurant that they both recommended, The Small Cafe; the tasty food they shared with me was from Small.After I picked their brains a bit, I made my way over to the restaurant a few blocks away and found it to be delightful.A locals favorite. Food is ok-good. Outside patio abuts parking so outside might not be the best place to eat unless you have a dog. The waitress we had one day was not entirely happy to have to come out doors and service us so ended up running inside to ask for items and pay our bill.

Wonderful Country Omlet, hold the cheese. (Im way too cheesy already) Mom liked her eggs and said that the bacon is the best! Jax of course loved anything he got.

A real business sticks to the posted hours of business. My family and I wasted time on my father in laws birthday traveling from North Long Beach to have food and coffee only to find the cafe closed during its normal business hours.
