We are building a house we hired what we thought where professionals, we where Wong whats worse is we paid upfront for the discount. (not a smart thing to do!)first we did not know they did not come out to measure the job, the door is a three panel door the ceiling is 8 foot tall, when i called another company I was informed that because its three panel it need a minimum of 18 inch clearance to the ceiling also the door was three inches short for the opening.We added two 1x6 boards to fix the width but the door does not close flat,the other company is trying to find a smaller panel for the bottom that matches the door so it will close.second we ordered a garage door opener and now it will not fit, once again if they came out to measure we would have known this then tried to charge me an additional $500 to install a side mount.claiming it was tax and install fees which were paid for in the initial bill

My experience today with Overhead Garage Door and the service technician that came out to our home, Zach Rainer, was top-notch to say the least. Mr. Rainer was polite, punctual, professional and incredibly thorough. He walked me through the complete repair process of our garage door and even explained all the ins and outs of its functionality and broke down in laymans terms how it all works. The door was literally about to collapse before he came and repaired it, and how it operates now compared to how it used to is night and day. Our garage door is smoother, quieter and most importantly fixed, and fixed correctly. BUY AT YOUR OWN RISK!! We had OGD come to repair our broken spring and asked about replacing the entire door as it was bent. The technician said he could fix it. He did a terrible job, making the door worse. It didnt even open all the way. When I told him it used to open completely he said, Well it doesnt now. He just wanted to do it quickly for some fast money. They charged $717.50. The job was so bad we filed a complaint with Citibank and send photos of the damage. Citibank charged the about back to OGD. Now, looking at my credit card statement, OGD charged the $717.50 a second time. Im thinking there is a fraud case here too.

I called this company and asked them to come out to fix our garage door. The springs had broken. The guy I spoke to on the phone told me it shouldn’t be more than a couple hundred dollars and he could get to it today most likely. He did have someone come out and the worker was very polite and opened the door for me to get my vehicle out of the garage. Then his boss told him to charge me $660 for parts and labor. When my husband said that was outrageous, his boss said he could lower it to $501. My husband called another local company and got a quote from them. They fixed my garage door for $250. I feel like this company was just trying to make extra money off of me because of the neighborhood I live in.

We had the BEST experience with OGD. They were even able to come out the same day we called. Glenn, our technician, was VERY efficient and answered all of my questions. His customer service was above and beyond!!

Had a spring break on my garage door. OGD came out and replaced the springs and serviced the door. Very good job, technician was very knowledgeable and friendly. I definitely recommend OGD.

Purchase and installation process was great. That part I would give 4-5 stars. BUT only 4 months after having the door installed it came off he spool on one side, bending the track. The door came with a one year warranty. No parts were needed to fix the door so they tried to charge me a $230 (labor fee) for about 15-20 minute job. I know this is how long it took to fix because Longview overhead door fixed it after I told OGD to kick rocks. Longview overhead door only charged me $95 and it’s working better and quieter now than before. OGD lost my business for good. Stand behind your product and don’t take advantage of your customers? I was not being pressured into buying anything. I was the one who ended up asking how much it was to replaced the unit instead of fixing it. It was more than double and Greg, our service tech, said he could install the new opener right then without having to order anything. My unit was likely more than 20 years old. How kind and nice is this service? I got a the new one with smart home technology and have enjoyed the change in how I use it and the entire experience. Extremely friendly staff-knowledgeable and thorough. My door was installed with perfection! Only reason I do not give them them 5 stars is because the door took 4 weeks longer to arrive. It was the manufacturers fault, but I felt that I could have been kept in the loop earlier in understanding the delays.

I called for a garage door repair late in the evening and a repair technician was scheduled to come out the very next morning. Great fees. The repair technician was friendly and worked fast. Fast service, friendly tech,and door was fixed. the price was way to high 359 for one garage door spring everywhere else in Longview was 179 installed including spring.. felt like like I got taken for 150 dollars more then I should have look elsewhere.As a response to the owner: yes I have a ticket and and I had a legitimate appointment I was told prior that it would not be as high as it ended up costing for one spring. Every other company wanted 189 out the door. 350 dollars was excessive I felt I got gauged for a 10-15 min job. The installer was nice and friendly but I felt I was charged to much, but that my own faul for not waiting another day for another garage door company in Longview to come out.

My garage door was off track and wouldn’t close. I did some research and found the number to OGD and gave them a call. Later that day, a tech came out to look at the door and said the issue was caused by a worn-out spring and it needed to be replaced. The repair cost was $370.77. A few days after the spring was replacement, the garage came off track again. I called and spoke with OGD customer service and told them what happened, so they scheduled an appointment for the same technician to come out again. This second appointment was scheduled from 4-6 PM so I could be there, but for some reason the tech showed up at 1:00 pm while everyone was still at work. Since he was already there, I told him to go ahead and look at the garage. He called about 15 minutes later and told me the cost to fix it was an additional $384.55 to reset the door and replace the cables. When I got home later that night, I noticed that the garage door was crooked, not flush to the concrete, and that I had a huge oil stain on my drive way where the technician had parked his truck. I called customer service the next morning and told them that I was highly upset with the repair, the oil stains left on my drive way, and how I felt that I shouldn’t have been charged for what should have been covered by their warranty.Customer service told me that they would have their supervisor Cory give me a call. Cory called few hours later, due to him traveling from out of town and said he would personally go and look at my garage door himself. A few hours later, he called me with pictures of my garage door aligned correctly and the oil stains removed from my driveway as well. Cory took the time to personally remove the oil stains with degreaser and cat litter. He also recommended that I receive a refund for the 2nd repair and agreed that it should have been covered under their warranty. The following day I received a call from Greg letting me know that they had issued me a full refund for the inconvenience and inconsistency that we experienced. I want to thank Cory and Greg for their personal concern for my property and correcting the problem in a courteous and professional manner. It really means a great deal when you have people like them show so much compassion and integrity for their customers.
