Moving is stressful. AND it can be really expensive. Duh. BUT-my experience with Cubby Hole is better than expected and I mean, quite a bit better. The owner or manager who Ive spoken with and whom my mom dealt with when renting the space for me while I was out of town, is exceptionally nice on the phone, as well as accomoadating to the odd hours we needed access. My mom had an even better experience in person. Prevent undue stress during a routinely stressful experience and use Cubby Hole for your storage units. The common courtesy theyve shown has been refreshing!

They were awesome and would use them again

Super friendly people, they always answer promptly and attend to customer inquiries quickly. Could not be happier with them as my storage choice.

Cons- you cannot access your property after the hours of 8pm-7am, which is only convenient for the owners. You WILL NOT receive any money back even if you give your 10 day notice in writing (which is in the contract). We were told that since we didnt vacate within 10 days of the due date, we werent owed money back (made no sense). The access ways are sloped for drainage but makes loading/unloading difficult. And its more expensive than most around Longview. I would not recommend this storage company. The management isnt very friendly, especially the wife of the owner.

I have used this place for the last 2 years trying to put my life back together. They are safe and secure. I just had to go by there and bring a few things to my new place.

My storage unit was the right size and very clean and priced within my range. The owners were very helpful and assisted in providing boxes and lock that I needed without running all over town. The owners also informed me that they would prorate rental fee depending on when I move out. I recommend Cubby Hole Texas at 2502 N. Eastman Rd in Longview, Rd I was very impressed with the service they provided and would use them again.

Good facility but bad business and contract practices

Dropped in unannounced to get a unit. It was $50 for a 5x5 closet unit (theyre smallest). The lady who works there can be brusque, but she was very cordial when I left my unit cleaned. Theres plenty of units..ya know I give 3 stars because its very tight getting to your unit, and the driveways are obnoxiously uneven. Coolest security system Ive ever seen.

Ruth was amazing and understanding. She helped with all my needs. I definitely recommend them for their services. I will be back in the future.

I was there with notfounderror gmail id. Weve done this stuff for years around town. I saw the girl fold the blankets. $140 for folding some blankets...it took like three hours total. some professional tape on blankets and that counts as a deposit non refund. gas was the same. five miles over our estimation. he must be hurting right now and takes what he can when he can. i feel bad that my friend got took by the business owner. i hope the owner realizes what he has done.

Reasonably priced. Hard on the knees (bad leg) due to being on the hill sloop. Staff is very nice.

DONT USE THESE PEOPLE GO TO AN ACTUAL U-HAUL! HE KEEPS EVERYONES DEPOSIT! If I could give them no stars I would. They charge way too much and you’ll lose your deposit. They will rip you off here. They charged $201.43 for renting a medium sized truck for a in-town move for 6 hours. After a few hours of use I filled the gas tank back up and returned the truck. That was on Friday. Now here it’s monday and I see I was charged $160.35 for Friday and here on Monday they charged me $41.08 additional fee saying I left the blankets unfolded and tape all over them. I should’ve taken pictures of everything when I returned the truck! They tell me the extra charges and deposit loss come from unfolded blankets, tape on those blankets, and gas being lower than agreed. I called around the local uhauls and they told me it all sounded outrageous and recommended I go up to the cubby hole and resolve this in person. I go up there and the man that owns the place (I’m pretty sure he owns it) starts telling me that he spent 30 min folding blankets and pulling tape off so he charged me for that. He says the tank is lower than it should’ve been. Well I did fold probably 18 of the 24 blankets rented and pulled the tape off of them. There could’ve been a few spots That I missed but that’s awful petty to lose your deposit over traces of tape. Then I told him that I filled the gas tank to where we agreed. He said he checked it and I was short. I told him if the truck is still on the lot I’d like to prove it’s in fact where it should be and he was wrong to charge me. So he agreed and we walked down to the truck. This truck is parked on a hill so he can’t even get an accurate gas reading. He tells me that since it’s on a hill the tank will be in my favor not his. So he turns the key and it’s right where I knew it would be. We agreed it was too close to call one way or the other. So I took a picture of the gas gauge, accepted the loss, told him to have a nice day, and returned to my car. As I’m leaving he tells me that he doesn’t want me to feel like he’s stealing and gives me $10. I wish I didn’t accept. What’s $10 when you just stole $100. Anyway that’s my experience with these people. The front desk lady Ruth is slow and incompetent and the man the runs the place is a crook. DONT GIVE THESE PEOPLE YOUR MONEY! THEY’LL TAKE ADVANTAGE OF YOUR DEPOSIT! DISHONEST BUSINESS POLICIES GO TO A REAL UHAUL!EDIT: HERES WHAT I HAVE TO SAY ABOUT THE OWNERS RESPONSE TO ME. He said I went over the estimated distance I estimated to be 75 miles. I ended up going 80 miles. That’s a mere 5 miles over what I estimated. I’ve gone to uhaul many times. You put $100 deposit down and then you’re truck rental is around $30. The dolly was $7 and the pads were $20 per every 6 pads. You took my deposit over over what you admit was 6 unfolded blankets and traces of tape. I have witenesses. When I confronted you about you saying the gas tank was low. I told you it was on a hill and you agreed that it was inaccurate but you claim it’s in my favor. I filled it on level ground and have photographic evidence to corroborate my story. The tank was filled to the agreed level and this crook is game playing. I am not. You can say what you want this review will reflect how you run your business for a very long time. You can say what you want you were very petty to take my deposit. I should’ve gone to a real uhaul. I didn’t realize you were taking care of a premier property and rely on overcharging people to do so. If anyone wants to see the photos of what he’s saying isn’t enough gas then I’ve posted them and you be the judge.I posted the photos. If anyone is reading this go look for yourself. This man is a liar and a cheat. Don’t become a victim here. It’s easier and cheaper to just go to a real uhaul. I haven’t said anything untrue as he claims. He has totally taken advantage of a position that requires honesty.Edit: I posted the pics to his site and it said there’s a brief wait until they publish. I hope they publish real soon. I hope anyone reading this finds this helpful.
