Zanzibar Coffee house has had a change of ownership and is now Two Bells Cafe. The AC was not working the day I visited so it was uncomfortably hot inside the store. The Coffee selection is impressive and I was quite impressed with the Lavender latte. I also bought a couple of pastries which were warmed in a microwave (big mistake). This place is amazing and has a lot of potential to be a great Coffee house.
Just came here today to check it out. Its a great healthy option because they have a lots of vegetarian options. Very quick and friendly service. The coffee was good too, they have a lot of out door sitting which was really nice. They had a pop up there when we came. It was vegetarian as well but she had grits and some type of sandwich option. I got the grits they were surprisingly good.So all in all a great option.
Quaint little shop with what looks like African decor and music. Masks, hand woven bags, books and little sculptures line the walls. Theres a nice bench with African print with pillows as well. And the music consist of African themed sounds from all hand made/natural instruments to even contemporary African sounds. They also have some nice items on the menu such as bulletproof and healthy smoothies as well.
I did not have a great experience. The aggressiveness surrounding masks is over the top; immediately upon walking in, when you get up to get more sugar or purchase additional items....its way too much. do not approach the counter without a mask. The way in which the staff approaches customers is not good. Espresso was fine. Kind of small,. but it was fine.
Recently changed to Two Bells Cafe Co. Still has terrific vegan options on the menu. Nice page to grab a coffee.
Lovely place with excellent coffee and snacks! Very clean and friendly staff. They have excellent seating with a couple of tables, board games and interesting decor from Zanzibar. The music choice was a little off however. We came on a Sunday and it was very relaxing with no crowd. Will be coming again!
We came by before getting on board the train. For the first time, I ordered coffee and chai and it was ok not as super rich taste. The only thing that this place needs to update and clarify about masks. The door says masks are still mandatory and some customers came in without masks. So please update about mask wearing.
Adorbs comfy coffee shop with sweet African art, bitter espresso, artisan clean pastries and salads to go from Collettes Clean Eats next door. Brazilian name at pie was deelish, just a tad dry. The hot sauce was crazy good and they have chess and games. Outdoor seating area is expansive. The lovely ladies at the front were super helpful and friendly. Will definitely be back. Recommended for food.
Very comfy and cozy spot with nice coffee and a cheap place. A good amount of spots for work and excellent wifi! would recommend
This is a small local coffee house. I am not a coffee house kind of person but this place is very nice. Its smaller but clean, welcoming, and you can sit inside or out. The staff have always been very accommodating. If you are not a coffee expert they are happy to suggest something for you based off of your likes. Ive only been here a few times but it is very good
Seemingly adorable coffee house, we were very excited to come here with the glowing reviews, unfortunately lack of enough staff & time management really put a cramp in our experience at Zanzibar.Avoid if on a time crunch. Our busy day was delayed when it was a 45 min+ wait for any drinks, and before they started any foodHonestly...? Even for a simple nitro cold brew [what initially stood out and reason we made the journey over here] which this bevvy can be poured in seconds.I was I formed its under new management, is this recently and theyre still working out kinks and scheduling perhaps? Trying to give them the benefit of the doubt in a frustrating start to our day.•Just one young kid working? Poor guy. He was nice, but didnt greet us as we walked into the quaintly quiet coffee shop, so it was an awkward vibe from the start because he was right there. Maybe just young, & theyre perfecting time management skills and/or desperately needs another team member honestly.•Breakfast options listed in pictures here are inaccurate, outdated and are from before the new ownership. They now are trying to learn the snacks towards more of a vegan vibe.•Breakfast options are incredibly limited, do not come here starving first thing expecting much.•Cool FYI: The whole top row of display case is all vegan options. He told us after we asked 142 different questions on their items because no innerds ingredients are listed. Just the titles/names of a couple sandwiches. Frustrating.•Cozy nooks and love the layout, a whole bench of comfy seating for the tables area.•Games and nice travel books, love the comfy atmosphereIt has potential just the flaws we experienced today were incredibly frustrating to have on a busy day for our first time at a new place. Dont think we will be back again though. Will try somewhere else.
Very cozy place, but I had their Lavender coffee and it was awful. It tastes like lavender soap. Perhaps it was because it was iced, but when I tried it hot, it was still bad. Milk was steamed clumpy foam and too hot to drink. I really wanted to like this place, but for a first time, it left me wanting something more. Go here for an amazing Mango Smoothie! Will definitely come back for that, but not coffee.
Never made it to the table will definitely not return. I can handle requiring a mask but not rudeness and made to feel like we have a disease. When you genuinely forget to bring a mask.
Delicious coffee! The latte was delicious and the nitro cold brew was strong and GOOD!Thank you for being a real coffee shop! Tons of comfortable seating, indoor and outdoor. The staff was so helpful and friendly! I will definitely be revisiting! My only suggestion would be to put in an oil diffuser as the smell was kind of interesting in the store.
Very cool find. Wife and I were out on the motorcycle and stumbled onto this place. you can tell the owners care a great deal about the quality of their service. Oh, FANTASTIC COFFEE
Coffee and avocado toast were good, but the pistachio muffin is to die for!Ask for it warmed up...you wont be sorry.Heads up- Door said masks were mandatory but everyone sitting inside were maskless.Outdoor seating but right on the main drag so can get dusty and noisy. Outlets outside too along with wifi, but be aware there are train tracks right behind it so you may wanna bring some noise canceling headphones.
I have found my new coffee shop. Coolest vibe, great prices, cute outdoor seating with nice shade. Im in love.
As far as food, my fiancé and I are vegan so I’m glad they had options! The avocado toast was really good, but the sausage, egg, and cheese biscuit wasn’t the best I’ve had.The employees weren’t the friendliest either. As soon as we walked in, my fiancé and I were putting on our masks on and the lady behind the counter proceeded to “tap on her face” as if we weren’t trying to put them on. I get it, but it was annoying considering we were clearly putting them on.From there, it was just low energy. You could tell they weren’t happy to be there, so we probably will not be back. 3/5 because of the avocado toast! 2/5 for customer service!
Great place with great coffee. Definitely recommend the Blueberry White Mocha. Paired with a perfectly toasted bagel and cream cheese, it makes for a wonderful morning.
Such a cute, quiet, calm place to go. Free WiFi,seating inside and out. Great pastries, games, books, cards. And some of the best customer service Ive ever experienced since moving back to FL. Plus they use pasta straws! (If you are allergic to gluten just let them know and youll get a plastic one)😘We came in Sunday the 9th. It was between 330 to 415pm .There was cute short girl behind the counter working as cashier and server and a nice older lady helping prep the food as well. They must have been either family or very close friends because when the older lady finished her shift they all said goodbye, love you!!! So sweet! Again, great service !
Wonderful coffee, cozy interior, roomy patio outside. Great place for coffee and conversation!
I love their coffee and I think they have a lot of great things to offer. Especially a good place if youre vegan.
They offer unique coffee flavors such as Blackberry White Mocha. Pastries and Bagels .Small place but much better than chain coffee shops. Reminds me of individually owned small coffee shops in Maine.
Fast service with delicious tea and attentive staff. Im lucky to have a good spot like this so close to my house!
Great atmosphere and menu. They keep the place very clean. The store manager runs a tight ship. I use this place to work out of from time to time to reduce my WFH isolation. Thanks!
Wonderfully quiet little coffee shop tucked into the hussle of orlando. Excellent coffee, great service and a taste of African charm.
I used to love getting my coffee here. However today I was insulted by the woman in my picture below. She called me stupid and yelled at me when I was using the “wrong” counter to put cinnamon in my coffee...I asked for her name but she told me to get the “f&$@“ out or she would call cops. Trying to get in touch with the owner...but haven’t heard back yet!
Recently moved to the Orlando area and have been exploring local coffee shops. Zanzibar is by far my favorite. I didnt catch the names of the baristas who worked today but they were extremely welcoming and helpful. Highly recommend the luscious lavender latte and pistacio muffin!
Selenas is so sweet and the tea is so amazing and greatly priced. They also have a large selection of both vegan and vegetarian eats. Worth the Sunrail ride!!
Nice little coffee shop. With a Moroccan theme decor. The cappuccino was very good along with the cinnamon bun. The only suggestion would be to complete one customers order before going on to the next customer. I waited for approximately 20 minutes for my cinnamon bun. By the time I got my cinnamon bun I had finished my cappuccino. I prefer to have my cinnamon bun with my cappuccino at the same time.
Always support the independent coffee shops plus Zanzibar offers ao much more including a very comfortable place to hang out and delicious fresh made sandwiches, cheese and fruits!
Great coffee at a fair price. Excellent breakfast food Danish Bagels sandwiches with meat and more. Benches and tables were comfortable and plenty of seating including outdoor seating. Nice environment. Really cool decorations.
I hadn’t slept much the night before due to work so I needed a latte to get me going to deal with my tasks for the day. Zanzibar was on my way to task #1 and I was sick of Starbucks (only going to them since they are close to my hotel). Great reviews so I figured I could get an actual good latte here as opposed to a “meh” latte. First impression was the coffee shop was quite nice and I thought I was in for a treat. Well, I placed my order and was having some trouble figuring out their payment device due to lack of sleep and never having seen this type of payment device when the barista was rather brusk with me. I shrugged it off as maybe she’s been having a bad day and / or is tired of people struggling with the device. When I got to my car the first sip of my latte was disappointing. Sad to say subsequent sips confirmed this drink was no better than and at best equal to a SB flat white. Oh well, at least I tried to support local.
The coffee was not my favorite, they were not social distancing very well, their products are very overpriced and overall was not impressed
It was such a nice place, thecoffee tastes so good too!! Friendly staff, ready and willing to answer any questions I had. If Im ever in this area again I will happily come back.
Love the atmosphere, location will be great once the construction ends! Staff was friendly but not very helpful when it came to the menu items and different drink types. I ordered a Mocha Frappe because she told me it was sweet. It wasnt sweet at all, and I prefer mildly sweet.I added a packet of sugar and it was fine. I will be back but this time Ill know what to ask for.Plenty of outdoor seating!
Very cute, very quaint! I love the African decor- its all over, even in the restrooms. Great atmosphere. Some place youd want to order up their delicious coffee and work on a term paper or something. Friendly, charming!
It was great and the there is seating outside as well. Also board games while you are having cafe!
Love this shop so much! I love to study here with friends and enjoy many different types of drinks. I love bringing my siblings here to play games and relax. Absolutely love the blackberry latte, hot or iced, it is perfect every time! So nice to have an authentic, community based coffee shop in the area!
The place has a cool atmosphere and the staff is super nice. Great coffee and muffins
Really interesting selection. I just got some cold brew, which was excellent. Seating is okay inside. Theres a long bench that they basically covered with pillows and some steel chairs. Overall enjoyable experience. Would definitely come again for the coffee or the other beverages.
I absolutely love this coffee shop! The food is delicious, the atmosphere is comfortable, warm, and inviting. Of course, the coffee is incredible too! Im so happy I found this hidden gem!
Great coffee shop with unique characteristics and different that the usual plain coffee shopsmore worried about their look rather than having a real foundation and a vision. My favorite and hard to find coffee: Tanzanian + Love it !!
Great atmosphere and friendly service! Plus the coffee is wonderful. Me encanto!
Ive been coming here at least once a week for the past couple months, but I just cant justify coming here anymore. As a fellow server, my top priority when I go out for food or drinks is the service. I dont care if everything else is messed up, but I really appreciate feeling welcomed when I patronize a business. This is NEVER the vibe I get here. Ive given zanzibar so many chances, but Id rather save my money than feel like such a nuisance for ordering coffee.
Great coffee. I had the African mocha frappe and oh my God!!!! It was good great. My wife had the Smores late and I almost take it away for myself. Definitely one of the best coffee I have every tasted. The place was really nice and clean. Great decor. The barista was super friendly and really helpful. Definitely coming back.
Very nice coffee shop/cafe. When the weather is good you can sit outside. Try their nitro coffee. Ask the folks behind the counter for their recommendations. They experiment a lot and so far their creations I have tried have been excellent.
Oh my goodness! Food was phenomenal! I was attracted to the restaurant by their wide vegan menu selection. Customer service was on point. Delivery was earlier than expected. I have nothing but positive things to say for this place. Very pleasantly surprised!
Great coffee, excellent choices, beautiful art, wonderful story and family friendly. Very serene outside patio area. Updated and beautiful space inside and out. Owner was fantastic and friendly. Several vegan and vegetarian quick bites as well as desserts.
Such a great place! Small and privately owned. They have a menu, but they will also design a drink for you on the spot based off what you like. She made something for me she had been wanting to try out and it was delicious! Great atmosphere, great people.
The Barista is so nice and polite. Shes alone working and a lot of customers. I feel sorry for her, kudos to Jasmine. Keep it up!!
Went to grab a coffee after breakfast with the family. Sad to see even after restrictions were lifted they require a mask. So we left and went to another local coffee shop to support them instead.
The atmosphere was great. Ordered the vegan sausage sandwhich. It tastes really good but I was expected a better presentation. It was about $7 for a small coffee and sandwhich. I would go back, but the girl at the counter is not the most enthusiastic, which is a drag for an up coming area.
We love this spot. Cute outdoor patio, perfect to bring along our pup. Great coffee and friendly service.
The coffee was fine. My friend got a blueberry chocolate smoothie and it was actually pretty good. I would say the menu was a bit pricey. The service was good, they were all very kind. I just really hope the owner of the cafe is actually Tanzanian/
Coffee is great! love it ! is the best coffee in Orlando. Staff is very friendly, the place is beautiful and decorated with African culture.
Love this spot. Its eclectic decor with a tribal twist is nicely done and the coffee is killer. Everything I tried made for experiences worth coming back for. Ive managed to bring some friends and family now too. They were all very happy with their service and food. Also, for other busy bodies: they have outlets, free wifi, and a great study environment. Definitely give it a try, you wont regret it.
Zanzibar is a charming, local coffee house that can always be counted on for fresh coffee. The decor and atmosphere are relaxing and the place is never that busy. Its a good place to meet a friend or come to work.
This place is great. Wonderful vibe and atmosphere. Amazing staff. Great beverage selections and snacks. Just an overall inviting place!
The coffee and bagels are really good and 10/10 costumer service
We had a very pleasant visit and the products are very good. The manager Kat always strives to please. With her, service and the customers are first. Try their blended coffee drink delicious!
Sat out on the patio and enjoyed a really good latte! Lovely atmosphere with great service. Thanks for the new extended hours.
Had a great time visiting with the Transitional Space group! Ill be back next time Im on that side of town. Vegan brownie warmed is almost as good as their smore-themed coffee. That was delicious! ❤️
I love this coffee place. I go quite often. The service has been getting slower and slower. Today I waited 20 minutes for coffee. There was no one in front of me. The 1 girl was at the counter taking multiple orders after me instead of making our coffee. While a second employee was out chatting .
Great coffee and a pleasant environment - offers about the experience one would expect from a coffee house, however the execution of that experience is incredible.
Patio is very nice but it would help a lot to keep it clean. Love the Plants but they need water. They are slowly daying.Coffee isGreat but, as patio needs a clean up Ill rate it with 3 🌟.Please keep it clean and take care of green.
I meant a girlfriend there for coffee. I got the flavored tea of the day and it was great. The sandwiches and pastries all looked really good but I did not try any of them. The atmosphere is really cool and its nice to just have a coffee shop other than a big name coffee shop. It was filled with students talking and doing their school work together.
Cute hole in the wall! Nice atmosphere. Really good coffee. Definitely recommend and will be back
I love this coffeeshop!! The mood is really nice, and that along with the delicious coffee/tea and amazing vegan options makes this place one of my favorites. A great place to chat with friends, study, or just soak in the atmosphere.
This place is AMAZING! Great prices, the atmosphere is really fun. I go here to study when home is too crazy and the baristas are super knowledgeable and friendly.
Great coffee and pastries in a nice atmosphere.
Wonderful 1st experience!I was in the area and needed a morning pick-me-up.. Iced cold brew w/a shot of espresso and some mocha: perfect! Local homemade pastries too.. Definitely stop by this little local gem
Service could have been better. I realize the place wasnt bustling, but the barista was more interested in chatting with his buddies. Also, the iced chi tea was on the weak side. Great location with plenty of room to expand. They could have a great patio with entertainment, but the space is under utilized currently. nice to have a choice so close that isnt a major chain. Id still recommend this location & Ill be back when Im in the area.
My wife and I adore this place. Awesome coffee and drinks, great vibe.
I frequent at Austins coffee and Foxtail, but this is right down the street so I hit it up. LOVEEE it here. The music is so relaxing and subtle. The environment is eclectic, the ladies were super helpful on helping me make a choice on what to drink. So many choices!!! Comfy seating. Odd plus the restroom is extremely clean and cool. Restroom goals!
Cute coffee house but I was very put off by the very loud Christian music playing. Whatever the choice of music, it should have be low enough as to not be distracting. But the use of a particular type of religious music seems very alienating to customers who might not feel as comfortable with this music. Coffee houses should feel inclusive of all people and I was surprised that a business would choose to play any type of religious music. It is a deal breaker for me and we probably wont be returning.
Very comfortable, relaxed coffee shop in the historic district of Longwood. I love the location with ample amount of parking. Decently priced coffee and lots of options. Employees were friendly and the atmosphere was inviting. Easy place to go and grab a cup of coffee and maybe get some work done.
Great comfy atmosphere and great coffee!! They have tons of add-in flavors so be sure to ask! Always recommend the iced latte!
Amazing Coffee Cafe! Great Coffee, Fresh Pastries and Vegan Options! Ask for the Matcha options, too. Warm, inviting, cozy, comfortable, check it out!
Great place to have a delicious drink, vegan baked treat, and spend time with good people! Loved it!
We love the food and hand crafted drinks there here and atmosphere and really want this place to stay open and succeed, as there arent many vegan/vegetarian places in Seminole county, but not sure the people who work there do. The inconsistency of items available is extremely frustrating. If you know you are going to run out, please make more. Then when you call to see if its available the phone 70% of the time goes to voicemail with a computerized msg. Very inconvenient for those on the way to work who want to get breakfast OR want to come there with friends or a group. Im sure you get busy, yes. But I have also been in line with few customers and have seen baristas totally ignore the phone. The young lady who works there with dark hair in the mornings is really bad for your business. I am always friendly with her, but she seems miserable. I want to say to her, if you hate your job that much go to Starbucks And if the phone IS answered she makes you almost want to hang up with her dread of placing your order. I understand bad days having worked retail, you never know whats happening in someones world or mental state. I GET that. But hers is every day. Again, bad for business and that attitude doesnt match your business. I feel cheerful when I first walk in because I love it there, then not so much when leaving. *My advice to people reading this is to still support as we need a place with good vegan good in the area, and just try to live with the issues stated above and plan your time accordingly. After dealing with the issues above and being hungry, I finally had to leave a comment. To the owner: Please improve, as most people wont be as patient and eager for you to succeed and will just leave and go elsewhere. Business lost. I want you to stay around!! :)
Good coffee, fast service, free Internet. Cozy neighbourhood coffee house.
