I have lived on the Eastside of town for the majority of my fifty plus years. For at least 36 of those years i have actively supported and patronized Baller choosing them over a big box store even when that meant paying higher prices and having less selection. This is no longer the case.For anyone that cares, baller hardware does not support the wearing of face masks and if you ask an employee not wearing a face mask to put one on you will be berated and made fun of. The store will fill with echoes of criticism of mask wearing and people who support it. If you value your health do not go inside

Cannot say enough good things about this business. My house is still standing due to them. Great selection of merchandise; even fun soap & organic candles. They have so many things the older houses in the neighborhood need that Home Depot has never heard of. Even mothballs.the staff is just wonderful. I always enjoy going there. You can ask questions, and learn things.

I went to Baller Hardware to pick up a bistro set I ordered online at Do It Hardware. No problem, but when I got it home the chairs didnt come together like they should have. So I went back to Baller and asked if they could help me figure out why they werent coming together. The owner, took almost an hour out of his day, when the store was quite busy, and helped me. He was able to get the chairs together for me and even helped me carry the finished chairs to my car. I couldnt have been more pleased. Everyone in the store was nice and I really had a wonderful experience. It may be a small store, but they make up in helpful attitude what they lack in space. I am happy to give them five stars.

I was referred by people who gave rave reviews about how they rekey locks. i went for just that purpose - which also happens to be advertised in paint on the side of their building, “We Rekey Locks.”Inside I struggled to find help. When I did, the first associate told me to “find Dave or Cesar.” The Front desk pointed me to paint and told me to ask for Mike. Mike was helping another customer at a glacial pace. and failed to acknowledge me after i waved politely several times and then stood like an idiot for 5 minutes. Also 2 out of those three employees did not wear a mask.I went to home depot - they also rekey locks.

This place is awesome. The people are great and the store is packed with most things that you need. Try to avoid Home Depot, etc.: go here.

Baller, rhyme this local institution with valor and you are there. Get a spare key made, pick up a hat you have also needed - that wide brimmed seagrass one landscapers and surfers alike wear endearingly. Get your wooden dowels on aisle 1, and ask for their handmade candles or salves at check-out. Super super friendly and savvy staff. Not to mention the soulful 80s music. Safely safely distancing to the groove, 6 ft apart with valor.

I continued to tell myself to come back here. Wanted to support local businesses. But the 15 times or so that I’ve continued to come back, I have NEVER been given even DECENT customer service. Not one person in this place has manners, they can’t even say “excuse me” as they ignore you walking down the aisles helping someone else. Each time I’ve even asked a question I was made to feel stupid or less than that I was even asking the question.This last time I walked in with an ottoman that I couldn’t find the correct Allen wrench size for and a dog in leash in hand and not ONE person acknowledged me carrying two heavy things in my hands, and I even stood there and waited by register for a minute - and clerk even looked at me!! And nothing. This is the last time I’ll go into this place, and I suggest you don’t bother yourself. Terrible customer service, terrible organization of shelves, terrible selection of products, and terrible lighting which makes you feel like you’re in a horror movie.

Today was my first time to visit this location. Ive been familiar with Baller Hardware for decades and lived close to the factory in Sausalito. This particular Baller Hardware is wonderful - beautiful space and very pleasant staff. I plan to go return soon. For those who think the merchandise is overpriced, I want to add that Ive had my Baller Hardware plates, etc. for years. They dont break easily and are well worth the price!

I also like supporting such a terrific resource two miles from my house. No question is too stupid and the folks who work there really try to understand what I need and offer great solutions when Im uncertain about how to do something.

This is my favorite store in Los Angeles. They seem to have just about everything! I stopped wasting time going to Home Depot for anything.This store has the rare old fashioned friendly family owned vibe and an incredible amount of helpful and needed items! Ive even found things I wouldnt expect them to have! I was looking for a fingernail brush at Bed Bath and Beyond and they only offered one lame choice, but Baller actually had a great one there!Now I go to Baller first before any other store! One more thing, the woman at the checkout counter is so helpful and sweet. I cant wait to go there again!

Baller is a household name in Silverlake / Los Feliz area (Silverlandia). They are extremely friendly, very good hardware products at affordable price. I personally like it better then going to Home Depot, since is a small business, smaller and way, way faster check out than home DepotHighly recommend
