This place absolutely sucks.

Amazing service, knows how to fix ANYTHING. This is the last standing shop thats actually knowledgeable about expensive vintage audio visual equipment. I would highly recommend coming here to solutions. Theyve fixed some of the most complex issues that no other company has been able to. Ive been to OC repair etc, best buy, Frys electronics etc (all the big guys) and theyre paying their staff minimum wage with no education so youre not going to find any service like solutions. The staff and owner are actual electronics engineers. Highly recommend!

Every time I get my speakers repaired there they sound great and the owner is has a sense of humor

Stephen is a unique character, and his business is a neighborhood treasure. The shop is steeped in history and littered with gear from legends of the music industry. But his prices and business practices will probably leave you spending more money than you expected.While Solutions isnt a gear shop and doesnt advertise as one, Stephen will sell you stuff if you ask, but you should avoid buying things there. Ive bought his used gear only to have to pay for repairs or deal with bad sound and electronic problems. Hell tell you that hes an expert and no piece of gear sounds right until its passed through his workshop, but will sell you faulty old components with no warranty. Dont be fooled by his mystical, strangely poetic ramblings about sound recording, its really just marketing. A lot of the stuff he sells actually sounds like crap, IMO. To his credit, hes a passionate engineer and somewhat of a genius whos capable of modifying electronics to make them sound better, its just that the cost of experimentation falls on the buyer, rather than him.Do visit this place, and if you have some exotic gear that needs to be fixed, make sure youre up front with Stephen about your expectations and warranty.

Very few places can still do this vintage audio work. Stephon is a true believer and visionary of his own approach to sound reproduction. His prices are reasonable, and the skill and knowledge are high. My pioneer SX-950 receiver is firing in all cylinders again ... beautiful, baby. Chao.
