Very rude and unprofessional staff. Due to this location being close to me, I thought this was would be convenient. I usually dont write reviews but this place is very unprofessional. I usually take packages here to drop off. The first time I came to this location, the young woman- I guess she was working, was very rude and did not make any eye contact. The second time I came here the staff said I needed to wait outside due to the 2 per occupancy policy. I am glad this place is in walking distance due to no parking. I will NEVER come back to this location.
This location a lady ( supervisor) is too tiered for this job. May be she want to retaire. She avoid customers. When you sent email for prints, she say not received. Ask you to go and send again there by avoid customers and also rude . Josh A. another person very rude. Avoid these two people. No parking and no customer service. These two really dont care about customers.
If it werent for the heavy set woman who works here Id give it a 5 star. Everyone else who works here has provided professional customer service, however that woman, (I think her name is Violet) is a menace to society. How can someone who works with the public be so rude every single time. We have dealt with her for the past 5 years, approximately 5‐10 times a year and shes always terrible. Too many annoying stories about her and I wish shed get fired.
Accident location right in the center of multiple apartment unit and condominium complexes. For the very use of sending out your postals and receiving throughout the world
The parking at this location is non-existent. Otherwise, a 5-star rating would have awarded.I found the staff to be very friendly, and eager to help.If you find yourself in the Fashion District and need to ship goods domestically or globally, this is the BEST.
I went to the store @9:30am Saturday trying to return my package. The store only allowed 2 people entered at a time and told me to wait outside on the street. There is many of homeless passed by on that street at that time plus no parking space, so I had to stop on the red zone with emergency light on.The employee made me wait on the street for a15 minutes, I was anxious and mad to wait and I left there and went to another storeand it was done in 5 second.Im not going to that store anymore. That store can cause on accident.
Not a real ups store! Just save your time. Seek an real ups location! lol
The hours posted on Google is NOT accurate. Its been inaccurate for an entire year and they have still not updated their hours, which shows the kind of customer service you will receive here.I attached a photo to this review showing the ACTUAL hours.Edit: After literally more than a year, they finally changed their store hours, although I doubt they would have changed it had I not left this review. Because of this, I have decided to keep the low rating instead of deleting the review.
Great experience Monday. Despite COVID, they used the proper protocols and I am so happy they serviced me Monday.
Google states closed at 8pm. Arrived at 7:10 to a sign saying closed at 5:30pm. Please update time on google so other people don’t waste their time driving over
I had a great experience yesterday with Lourdes. She was friendly and very professional. I didnt experience any trouble. I was in and out in seconds......literally. I am grateful for her. Thank you for serving my needs. Dropping off your Amazon package is super easy here. I would highly recommend this location.
This complaint is about a driver who works from this location named ARVATO but actually it is about all of the drivers who deliver to dtla addresses! I have a very expensive shipment which needs a signature. I have been tracking it every 1/2 an hour since morning. The system said the driver attempted to deliver and that was an absolute lie. The system said they left a tag in my lobby, which was also a lie. Every time I have had a package that needed a signature it has eventually shipped back to the sender because they don’t even make an attempt. The drivers NEVER deliver packages to individual apartments when signatures are not required. They leave them in the lobby to get stolen. I am sick and tired of UPS. It’s a nightmare.
This store told me they couldnt return my package . After I returned to the store with a representative on the phone, they where able to find the information that I had already provided. A heavy set woman manager, (I think her name was violet) came over and was extremely rude to me and the woman on the phone. this store is a joke and the manager needs to be fired. If you want your stuff sent correctly dont go to this store! 8/27/2020 4:30 pm
The staff is very friendly and professional. One day, I needed a notary ASAP. No need to wait - - - no fuss and no appointment necessary, a notary staff was there and knew EXACTLY what to do! Charged a very low fee. I recommend to call ahead just in case & to find out peak hours. They are always so helpful. They do have busy times. Im a regular. I have often seen demanding customers get impatient with the staff (you know what Im talking about-we have all seen that happen), but the staff is professional and cool. Amazon returns, etc etc. They are very careful with COVID standards. Limit the # of customers in store & masks required. I highly recommend this store it is an important resource for me.
Great service, great staff, I feel safe when I go there. even now with the COVID-19.
Ive been coming here for over a decade but unfortunately the service at this location has gone drastically downhill. I checked their hours online, both on Google Maps and the UPS website, and both said they were open. I showed up an hour before closing and they were closed due to modified Covid hours. The store should be updating their hours online. Its just bad business practices not to. Its frustrating they didnt but understandable that theyve changed their hours due to the unique circumstances. So I come back the next day during the modified Covid hours, and again theyre closed. The employees decided to close up shop early apparently. They were still inside, but when I knocked the person gave me a cutting throat gesture, which seems very rude.It turns out he was a driver, and when he came out to load the truck, he accepted others packages but was incredibly rude to me and told me he wouldnt take mine even though they all have labels.Another employee came out so I asked him if they would be open tomorrow, and he said to check the sign and wouldnt say anything else. The sign says they should be open currently, so I asked him if they would actually be open at those hours, but he refused to say anything else.Very bad attitude from everyone I interacted with. Unfortunately I will have to report all this directly to UPS as well.
There is room for improvement. Some effort in the store but corporate needs to care about there chains and strive to improve processes and get these stores up to date with the times.
Rude and impatience service; If you dont know something, the staff are not bothered even to explain that; Either you know it or dont come - thats their attitude.Never experienced in other UPS centers. Will never go again to this location.
They are supposed to be open until 6pm. I arrived at 4pm and they had already locked the entrance. I waved at the one employee inside and he signaled me to leave. Nice.
The store was closed 15 minutes earlier than the business hours posted. I arrived at 5:43 pm, but the door was locked and staff inside ignored 3 guests outside including me. I do not understand how they keep the business without committing to the hours.
Quick service. Nice people. Very professional. Best UPS store I’ve been to in LA
Bad service. The closing hours are not updated. Online it saids 8 PM but they close before 6 PM or whenever they feel like it. I came over before to pick up a package after work and they had employees inside doing nothing, sitting on the counter ignoring customers. They will ignore you if you knock and will continue to sit down looking at their phone.
Update your hours, says it’s open on Sunday but the sign on the doors says it’s closed and gives different hours.
Staff there is great with the exception of the manager with gray hair. Rude, no people skills, and downright abrasive. I was in the store for ten min without a mask, packaged up my stuff labeled etc. Then when they girl is almost handing my receipt he tries to kick me out for not wearing a mask. Loudly and with an attempt to shame me in front of others staf . And judginh by the reviews he does this a lot.Wont be doing ANY business their again. FedEx here I come
I encountered two of the rudest UPS workers along with a Manager named Violet who subsequently hung up on meafter I called to lodge a formal complaint regarding two of her subordinates.I walked in to return an Amazon package at the 9th Street UPS Store with the return label on my cell phone. I have visited this store on various occasions andhave been treated well by the male staff. However, todays experience was horrible. The female attendants with their gangster like personas told me they could not scan my return label and that I wouldhave to pay for the return label. I explained to the attendants that I had previously returned packages at this locationand the male attendants were extremely gracious and printed the labels without issue and packaged the item for return at no cost. One of the attendants named Julie raised her voice and reiterated that if I could not pay, they would not return my package to Amazon even ifI had the label screenshot on my cell phone.I called back as soon as I got home to complain and spoke to the manager Violet, who was verbally belligerent and hung up on me.This is horrible customer service. I will never utilize this locations services again. Ill go the extra 5 blocks to the other UPS store on Figueroa fromnow on.If you like rude abusive treatment in a gangster like environment, youll love this location.Avoid this Place like The Corona Virus!Disgusted,Nelson P.
Came at 4PM, signed said it was closed. No one picked up the phone.
Friendly staff & clean place. Since I live nearby, instead of walking to the post office a few blocks away, for past couple of years, I drop off my mails at this UPS Store at no extra cost. I give 5 stars.
Not actually open till 5 and is not open on Sundays.
Bad customer service
I have had a UPS store mailbox for the past several years and this location has been the least helpful. I went in to send something and the gentleman (more accurately some dude/kid) wasnt very friendly at all. Id rather use my location where my mailbox is and avoid this location (it was convenient that day).
I was so impressed with how we were treated, so professional, but yet so down to earth!! We had 6 boxes shipped back to Massachusetts from this store with alot of fragile things. Nothing was broken, missing or ruined!! The price was more then reasonable especially with everything they had to individually bubble wrap. Thank you sooo much for helping us out!! I highly recommend this Ups Store!!!
Fast and friendly service but I was not informed of brokerage fees to ship to Canada and I ended up having to pay $120 USD total to ship a 5 pound box of clothes and candy. Absolutely ridiculous. This wouldnt have happened with USPS
Eric, who it seems like he is here all the time, is always fast and efficient, exactly what you would want from an employee at a UPS store. I have never had an issue in the years that Ive frequented this location. More regular customers should take the time to reflect what really goes on this store. Fast, efficient, friendly service.
They close their registers prior to their closing time, which is inconsistent with having a set closing time.
I like this UPS store. I rented a mailbox here so that I can receive packages close to work. Its more expensive than other UPS stores where Ive rented in the past, but I think its worth it. When Ive gone there, the people have always been very polite and efficient.
I frequent this store, every time I have an exceptional experience. One time in particular they went out of their way to accommodate me in a bind, so very appreciated! This store is great.
Always supper friendly, helpful & fast service! I have been here to get stuff notarized & returned my AT&T wireless router. Its great that they are open late & on the weekends!
They literally take any opportunity to be closed on the weekend. Today they were closed because of the super bowl, seriously? I only come here to drop off return packages and every other time I try they are closed.
I had a bad experience with the notary. The customer service and knowledge was not there. She refused to notarize my document and I therefore went to the 12th Street store and was treated well and had no problems. She was incorrect in her knowledge as a notary and was very rude. Its difficult to park there and after all that you are not even treated professionally.
Went in and the employees were very nice to me as I was sending my item. My go to UPS store from now on.
Bunch of whiny babies in here, reviewing. They should re-read their Magnum opuses and remember theyre talking about packages... Probably the same people that flip out when their phones browser takes a few seconds longer to load. Youre boring awful people.Brought my package. They processed my package. Boom! The system works.
I got treat like a burden. The rep simply handed the receipt without a word and walked away
Used them to notarize and ship two documents. No line, no hassles. It was quick enough that I was able to sneak over there after shopping at Ralphs around the corner, so parking wasnt hard.
Looks like this place has some bad reviews...I arrived at 7:55am. It is listed online that they open at 8am. Sign on the door says they open at 8am. I waited for this business to open. I was on a tight schedule. After standing outside this business for 30 minutes, I left. It did not open. How hard is it to open at 8am, when that is the posted opening hour? Someone needs to be fired.
I had a short notice opportunity in LA and needed some business cards mailed to me. This UPS store has package acceptance listed on its website, so I had the small parcel sent there.I call the day it is to arrive and a woman, Violet J, who identified herself as the owner informed me that they will return to sender when the package arrives because they don’t do hold for pick up anymore. I informed her that her website says otherwise and asked if she could make an acceptation since I am a block away and will be there to pick up immediately when the package is delivered. I also offered to pay significantly for the service only to be rudely denied.I do not believe that the lady I spoke to was the owner. As a business owner myself, I fail to reason why a business owner would choose to not serve a customer, to not put money in the point of sale system, and to risk a review such as this after being rude on the phone with a potential customer.Do yourself a favor and around the corner to the Fedex office instead of dealing with someone who would rather give attitude than do business.
They couldnt even print two pieces of paper for me. First, their USB wasnt working on the computer there.... (do they not have multiple???) so I went home and e-mailed it to them, as instructed. When I called to confirm that they received it they said the attachments dont open. These two guys just do not want to work and it is very obvious. TWO PIECES OF PAPER! Thats all I wanted!!!!!!! I will now never go back to this store. Awful
Call first, very disappointing to fight traffic and search for parking only to find a note on the door, closed today at 3:00, obviously no prior notice, today!! Cant rate the personnel no one was there. The sign gets a 5, mustve taken at least an hour to draft, making it difficult to think a dire situation caused the closure. Will probably give them another chance the hours of operations are great, open til 5 Sat and Sun.
Called to ask if they do passport photos, they say yes and that I can come by any time. I show up 30 minutes later and they say they dont have any film... OK awesome.
Really stupid employees. Still need to be trained
Ups is ruining kinkos good name, that place was the best, now we have these stupid stores where rude guys work, and it looks horrible inside, what happened to my kinkos?!?!?!? Beautiful big stores that could do all kinds of stuff for you, I feel like we have gone back in time...
Not sure why such bad reviews. Always friendly and courteous.
A Okay!I like that. The line that is. Fits perfectly for this review. I basically use this UPS store to send and ship things I need to return or presents I need to send to family. I tend to pre-pack and pre-print my labels so that when I get to the store I just drop it off with minimal interactions. For the most part the employees have been fairly fast. Service is meh, store is a little tight with minimal resources but you know what, they get the job done. I can see it being frustrating for people who dont live above the store like I do, parking isnt the easiest thing around there.
Exactly what the other person said. Call before you go. Their on their own hours. Being closed because of Mothers day is a joke. Dont care how nice the people are if they arent there to help me at all.
Terrible customer service. My package was not delivered on time and they refused to file for a refund. It was gaurenteed to be delivered next day by 3pm and was not. The store employee did not seem to understand how time passes and told me we still have the rest of the day; he seemed to think that because it was 2:30 PT it wasnt past 3 pm yet ET. After he looked up the tracking info he then went on to tell me that I must have requested the delivery be changed because UPS tracking showed an exception and stated it would now be delivered a day later. Also, I found it entertaining that when I confirmed the packege would be delivered by 3pm when I originally sent it, I was told it was gaurenteed exactly at 3pm.Please dont place time sensitive items in the hands of these incompetent employees.
Rude employees with very bad attitude
This store doesnt keep its posted hours. The website and the sign on the door say its open til 5 on Sunday. I arrived at 440 after struggling to find it (its around the corner on flower, not on 9th st) and the door was locked with a few people inside. I stood outside being harassed by a drunk guy until the guy in the shop finally opened the door but refused to allow me to ship a package, saying they actually close at 445, even though I had arrived before 445. But no dice. Frustrating, especially during the holiday season.
Their website offers a service that we needed to only find out that after having a package shipped to them in short notice that the service listed on the website is no longer offered and they will not make an exception due to their misrepresentation. Very horrible business practices.
This store is too small for a proper UPS Store. Therefore this location is very cluttered. The service was mediocre and indifferent at its best.
They close at 2:45pm on Saturday.
Notary missed a section on the form, documents get returned from govt org, have to go back to same notary to avoid getting charged again and then resubmit everything. Not even an apology from her when I go in. Incompetent.
Sad that this is the only ups in the heart of dtla.
I wouldnt even give this poor/fair. I just called to ask about shipping a package and they were rude, didnt care what I had to say, laughed the whole time with other employees, and said I dont know to everything. No customer service.
Just terrible...stay away they are complete crooks. Expect to get charged at least double, maybe triple what you pay at other UPS stores.
Not bad! Their service at least better than US Post Office... 😒
Went there for a notary service. I was told the person already went home today at 2pm. What kind of business is this?
This store is Amazing ... 4 thumbs up >>>>
Very crappy service. Workers stare at you like youre doing them a favor. Never again.
Bad customer service.
Friendly, Helpful Staff
Bad service they treat people bad, and the people that work there dont know how to do their job they say stupid comments to people with a freaking attitude Im never going back there
Paid 22 dollars (not sure if thats the norm, but that sounds expensive) for only binding a 170 page document and it was done so sloppily that many of the pages came off the first time I opened it.
I went there and used my passport and they notarized a document with it. When going back few weeks after they refused the same. They are rude and act like a gang. Beware...
Friendly staff no waiting
Just called in on 4pm on a Saturday and told they were closing...
Terrible customer service!
Like the location but not the service.
Close at 3pm on Sunday.
No parking
Very rude
It says open and it is completely closed.
This service is very bad, it does not work, do not use it, it is the worst, what there is, they do not deliver on time, their workers are very terrible, they should have competent staff 👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎
