One of the worst providers I have ever had. Scheduled service for an issue and took the day off to accommodate the appointment. Tech did not show during window I was given. Looking for another provider. Not many better options that are any better in DET.

I have been trying to move my mothers phone from her home to her new Sr. Living Center for over a month. She had Suddenlink at home and I just requested to have the line moved to her new address. I have met two service techs at her new residence in the last three weeks and she still does not have a phone! I need to be there when the service tech come and they give me a three hour window when they will show up. I wish I could rate Suddenlink lower than one. They suck!

WORST INTERNET I HAVE HAD IN MY LIFE. We have had 6 technicians out in the last 6 months to fix our internet outages and nothing has changed. We lose connection multiples times every hour throughout the day. We had a technician scheduled for last Thursday, he was supposed to call 30 minutes prior to his arrival and failed to do so and then refused to wait 15 minutes for my husband to drive home from work. Suddenlink then said they would be out within an hour and they failed to do that. Another customer service representative said they would arrive by 8 pm and they once again did not. Suddenlink called us Friday and scheduled an appt for this morning 8-11 am, once again no one showed up. I typically do not post google reviews but this is insane. I am sad I have to give them one star because they dont deserve any.

So they showed up, went to look for a box and didnt come back. I left for work an hour later. 3 days later they called. I was told the box needed repairs, they werent sure when they could get me taken care of. The person on phone couldnt grasp why I was upset and how it was the companys fault.

I signed up payed my fees and got an appointment for today. Installer looked at it and said it was over 250 ft. And said a different department had to run a line cause it was over 250. After he left I measured it 132 ft. Man I feel bed for any woman hes been with. I then called and was told they would be back today wich was a lie. Then called at 445 and was told it was 12 more days. This is not good buisness practice.

If I could give you 0 stars I would. I waited all day for internet the technician that showed up tried to charge me 100 bucks more and didnt even bring the equipment. His name was Troy. After calling up there and being told that within 3 hours another technician would be there...... 8 hours later I called again and I get told to just wait for over a week for service........why am I being penalized because your company didnt come prepared and tried to charge me double........

Suddenlink is not friendly to loyal customers. They give great intro rates and then jack up the bills after 1 year with no way of reducing fees other than to bundle more services which increases the expense. The customer service department is difficult to get into contact with as well, with very long hold times.

Horrible service. I have 2 accounts both where set up with old refurbished modems. Had to have them come out with new modem for first account, now having to have them come out for 2nd account. They tell me they cannot come out with new modem for 2 weeks. Im paying for internet with no service. In addition I never recieved the 200 dollar gift card nor have they ever sent me a bill. They say I did not receive because my bill was late well Im on autopay and the bill was not late it couldnt be why cause I am on autopay. Who has better service out here in lufkin.

I enjoy the service when it works. But here I am, a full time online college student and again our service is out. It has been 6 days now. No bad weather, but according to the techs in my area. Huntington has the worst Fiber Optic lines in Angelina county. This happens every 2 months. Service down in my area and it takes forever to get it fixed. But I can rest assured that I will still be charged for it and have to argue about my bill.Maybe Elon Musk can figure out something with his satellite internet.

Suddenlink never ceases to amaze me with their incredibly terrible service, aside from selling you an internet package with 4GPS and then providing a modem.that is not even capable of handling such speeds, they set you up with very generic network names and even more generic passwords, that you are unable to simple login and change.... I had to have my service transferred last year when I moved, and I called well in advance (2 weeks) I explained that I work from home (like many Americans these days) and I would have to have the internet I stalled the Monday after my move. They had the dates and assured me that they could meet these needs, so when Monday rolled around and I never had a technician show up, I contacted them, to which they replied, it says on the work order no one was home...I nearly chocked on my coffee, I had, of course, been home ALL DAY waiting for a technician that was scheduled to be there between 8am-11am. This went on for a total of 5 days, yes my dear friends FIVE DAYS! Every day I asked to speak with a supervisor it was impossible to get in touch with them, and I was promised I would receive a call back, and I never did. On the 6th day (Saturday) I finally had enough, I had lost my ion because they simply could not wait for the internet company to continue their game, they needed employees that were ready, and able to work. I finally spoke to supervisor (or so I was told) she informed me there had been an outages in my area all week....nobody I spoke to prior to that conversation, nor the technician that finally showed up the following day were aware of any outages. My bill has continually gone up every month by $10, no one has the same explanation for this, Im just disgusted, absolutely let down in every way by this company. I truly expected much more out of such a large corporation that I know services several states and many areas.

Ever since Altice took over it’s been horrible.. the only thing good about them is the internet, and that’s about it. TV quality is ok, but the Altice cable boxes are terrible. They are not user friendly, and I have to reboot it all the time to get it working. And just got my bill and it went up $30 for no reason.. maybe time to cut the cord...

This is most unreliable service I have ever had. Last two months I had their service, the internet maybe work a few hours a day called repeatedly and had service techs out multiple times. I called to cancel my service and was told my whole problem was that the cable ran from the pole to my house was not buried. It was installed 5 months prior and they never showed up to bury it after saying they would be back in a week after installation. Went ahead and discontinued my service anyways, and I recommended another provider if able to.

UPDATE 10/2020 - I came here with the intention of giving them a 1 star review.... I laughed sooooo hard when I saw that I had already given them a 1 star review yearssss back..... And we are STILL a 1 star rated company in my mind. Typically with large companies it is interactions with customer service that yields negative reviews.... making this quick.... Tech support for internet basically just told me They cant figure it out (she did not want 2 even try...)... Slow internet and random disconnects for about a month now... after laughing at me and saying she cant help I asked for someone else... and nope... nothing... literally a no... These people are horrible! They hang up in your face when you need something to be fixed that they caused. They promise all these promos and gift cards and it turns out to be completely different. Even have managers and supervisors that tell you they make notes and you are going to receive all these different credits to fix the issue but nothing happens. I would highly NOT recommend this company!

Customer service can be great depending on who you get, the service itself is ok for fast internet but reliable is a whole other question. Tech support is filled with people who think they are helping but have no idea how to help. There billing system will screw you if your a first time customer so make sure you stay on top of it yourself it piles up real quick to equal $200 in one month

I waited on hold for over an hour 3 different times on Friday 11/1/19 and never received a response. The soonest available callback was the next day, just to talk to someone? Most ridiculous customer service I have ever experienced. I went to our local office in hopes to get a better result and their were 4 other customers in the office with this same issue. To which the store associates get an F in empathy and customer service. We will be switching back to consolidated unless something changes because suddenlink customer service is becoming worse and worse.

STAY AWAY! STAY AWAY! I had a appointment set for Saturday at 8 am. The tech shows up and asked me if I had a Fiber hooked up already, I was busy on a buisness call at the time and told him I wasnt really sure. He walked around and came back and said he would have to have another tech come and install a fiber and that would be Wed. I Later walked to the back of the house and seen we already had one installed, I called and after waiting 40+ min on hold I was able to speak with a agant, She told me that they had already set a new appointment that same day (Saturday) between 6 and 8 with out me knowing. Around 6 I opened my door and waited, 6:30 a tech shows up and went straight to the back of the house without knocking. I figured they was just looking and would come talk to me Later on but no,He got into the vehicle and left. I called and after waiting on hold for 40+ min again and got someone, she told me the Tech made a note at 630 that he got held up on the appointment before me and could not make it and the earliest they could get someone else was the following Friday. Needless to say Im not going with sudden link. This is the WORST experience Ive ever had. Find someone else, Stay clear of suddenlink.

The people in the office are nice but the customer service over the phon is horrible. At least 30 minute wait times over the phone. And the voice prompts make it impossible to speak to a human. Very expensive and my service seems to go out just about every few months and it takes weeks to get it back on.

Suddenlink Communications has horrible customer service. I have been waiting for the right person to come out to my house to run a FIBRO OPTIC LINE from the pole to the side of my house for a MONTH now . The guys that have came out said a SPECIALIST WITH A BUCKET TRUCK HAS TO COME AND RUN THAT LINE FIRST BEFORE THEY CAN INSTALL SERVICES. They have sent 5 DIFFERENT PEOPLE to my house and none of them were the right ones to get the job done . They have no kind of communication among the reps & field techs . Every time I call or my husband calls to speak to a supervisor or manager they say no one is available. I have went to the Lufkin office twice and no manager or supervisor is available there either. I will be filing a complaint with the FCC . I have read so many complaints on this company on Google & Facebook ! I will also be contacting the Better Business Bureau.

The worst ever, I was charged an “overage fee” for high volume usage on a day when me and the whole family were out of town. Nobody else has our password and they had no way of explaining to me how this happened but charged me $200.00 anyways... needless to say, they would not admit to any mistakes on there end and refused to refund the money I was charged. My first time of calling customer service and she was so rude!I called on 4/11/2019 at 6:43pm CST to complain about an extra $10 a month on my bill for Wifi@Home, which suggests was renting their modem. This was incorrect since the installation was performed with my own modem by their technician.The agent by name Tanisha indicated that in order to help me, she would like to know where I purchased my modem.Naturally that did not make any sense to me since where I purchased my modem has no relevance to verifying if I was renting from them or not. Therefore I told her it is an irrelevant question and the correct thing to do is to verify from the technician and the installation log/notes if indeed what am saying is correct or not.She refused and subsequently refused to let me talk to her supervisor. She bluntly said, she had none (can you believe that?).Eventually, tired of this rude behavior, I ended the call, called them back and a different agent by name Kendrick at the technical support/billing was more patient and helped resolved this.Ms Tanisha needs a talking to by her non-existent superiors. The call, which I assume is recorded needs to be reviewed and appropriate action taken. I was close to cancelling my service and subsequently would if I encounter anything similar to this.Mr Kendrick (he says he is originally from South Africa, if it helps Suddenlink to ID him) is the only reason I remain a customer. Lousy service. Overpriced.Regular outages that take the Inernet completely down, sometimes for an entire day, with no warning and nothing but an automated system when you call in for support to find out what caused the outage.They intentionally change the call in support queue to route you only to an automated message when these frequent outages occur.If there was another provider in town with good speed I would have switched months ago.

We had an appointment for Friday, waited for hours and no one showed up to install. I then spent three hours ( and six people) in the phone with Suddenlink to get a new appointment for Saturday. The same exact thing happened. Then again on Sunday, and now on Monday. Four days of my life lost waiting for a non existent technician to show up, or on hold within a call center located in another country. This is the absolute worst customer service I have ever experienced. So just to recap, four service appointments, 13 phone calls, no internet or cable service. Don’t waste your time, there are other companies.

You call and complain to try to get some kind of compensation when they just say well you have never called with this problem before. Theres nothing we can do. This review is directed towards the company, not local employees. I have never received such poor customer service. First the technician STOLE my money. It was pay upon delivery. There is no record of it being entered into the system. I had such an issue trying to talk to someone because I never received a paper bill that had a PIN so I was able to set up my account. I’ve called twice about this issue. Both times a month apart. They have not resolved it, they have not contacted me. I received an email after the second call saying they called me at 1:14pm, which was completely untrue, first I didn’t receive a call. I had my phone in my hand the whole time. Second, the email was sent before the call was supposedly made. Each time I’ve tried to resolve this issue I’ve been on the phone for 25+ mins and was supposed to receive a call back from them. Never received a call. Issue still not resolved three months later. I’m hoping that maybe posting this review I can actually get in touch with someone that is not a machine. This company has shown me that they do not value their customers or keeping them. I will not keep this service. I just want to speak to a person so we can figure out how they are paying me back for the stolen money.

This is company has the worst customer service on any company I have ever done business with. The product is good and the price is fair but everything else is terrible. I was excited when I heard that Suddenlink was going to be offered in my area. I contacted them and was informed that would let me know when they got to my location so I could be hooked up. As soon as I was informed I sighed up and was told that they would be installing the cable directly.I informed them that I had underground service at my house and they said that wasnt a problem and they would bury the cable. About a week later I arrived home after work and they were stringing the cable down my drive to the last pole to where service was run underground. The installers said that a tech would come out and complete job and hook up my service. Another week passed and an appointment was made for the installer to come out. I arranged my schedule to meet the a tech as required. As soon as he arrived on sight he told me that he couldnt complete the job because the cable down my drive had never been booked up to the main line at the Hwy. He stated he would let his supervisor know and reschedule. After about another week a appointment was set and again I made arrangements to meet the tech. After arriving the tech informed me the cable still hadnt be hooked up and he could not complete job but would see that they got the line hooked up ant end of drive. After about another week another appointment was scheduled with the same outcome as the first two. After wasting all this time I told them dont call me until they could complete the job.The 4th appointment scheduled and the tech came out and ran the cable from the service pole to my house but left the cable laying on the ground running from the front of my house across my year all the way to the back of my house where my service enters my house. When I asked about this he said a contractor would come out and bury the cable.The cable remained stretched across my yard for almost 6 months, even though I called the salesmen that setup my cable service weekly. I finely got fed up about having to move the cable two or three time just I could mow my yard weekly. The last straw came when I needed to move a trailer from the rear of my house and had no other choice but to drive over the cable. I feared that if the cable was broken that it would be weeks before any repairs would be made. I drove to their office in Lufkin and told then that if the line wasnt buried by the end of month I wanted cancel my service. They finely buried the cable after 6 months.About a month later a plumber I hired to install a new gas line cut the cable. I tried to call them and there phone has been disconnected. I drove their office and was told that it would be at least 10 day before the could send a service tech out to see what it would take to restore my service.

SuddenLink has an accounting program that billed my account three times in one month. After being on hold for over an hour, customer service claimed it was a new program and it was problematic. She stated she would refund the overcharge to my bank account but DID NOT DO SO! This so called Tech company cant do simple accounting and has zero customer service. I have NEVER had this many issues with a cable company. I just got Suddenlink 2 months ago. The wifi constantly disconnects, there are channels that skip and stutter like my TV is hooked to an antenna with a bad signal, and now EVERY channel is doing it. For all the money they charge, this service should run smoothly. I can see an issue here and there but this is totally ridiculous. I cant wait until this nightmare is over, I would rather just get an antenna and a Blu Ray player.

Worse service ever!!!! My phone and Internet were disconnect and I was never notified. When I called to see why our Internet was not working the rude lady on the phone stated that our account was delinquent and had been disconnect. I asked how is that? I never received any type of notification. The lady stated well you probably got an email or phone call, I stated there has been to emails or phone calls made to me. I continously receive promotional emails from Suddenlink but have never received any type of notification. I tried to explain to the lady that this incident probably had happen due to the fact that my debit card had been hacked and had received a new card and the problem was that our Suddenlink account was not updated. She refused to accept this honest explanation and proceeded to say that I would have to pay almost $300 to reinstall my services. This is completely ridiculous specially when you have been a loyal customer for nearly 5 years without any past history of missed payments! I proceeded to pay the balance of $85 and asked to complete cancel my account and I would get my services from elsewhere! The Suddenlink rep could care less!!! Its a shame that such company has personnel as this rep but than again it must be a representation of the culture of this company. I will never ever have anything to do with Suddenlink and I will make sure to let friends and peers know of this horrible service! Its very disappointing!

Worst customer support Iv ever dealt with from any company. Took over a month for them to hook up my fiber optics, then they didnt even bury the line. Ive been trying to get them to do it for 7 months and every time I call and ask or go up the the local office they always say it should be the following weekend.

The technician for suddenlink skipped my appointment by saying there was no one there. After I finally got my network set up, the uptime for them was intermittent at best. Like so many people the only way I could get a person on the phone from customer service was to select the option to have new services set up, otherwise it was impossible to get a real person on the phone.

Ordered service on June 6th, 2019. Told them it will be a new install and there is no cable running to the house from the road. So for 4 weeks we have been waiting and calling and waiting and calling for the drop and bury crew to show up. The request has been elevated and prioritized several times but with no action at all from the line install crew to show up and do their job. 26 days and counting for service. Will be over a month with the 4th of July holidays. I cannot believe it is this hard for Suddenlink to get a customer internet and cable service. I would give zero stars if it was an option.

I am very happy with the service. The Internet speed vs price is amazing. I pay for 75 and pull 85-125mb. Since all I do is stream and game this is great. I do suggest purchasing your own Motorola surfboard extreme modem and Asus router because the rental modem is of very low quality but what do you expect for a rental.

I had my cable box go out 2 mounths ago called for service on the day they were to be here called the 800 number 4pm from my house phone to check if on time said yes call back at five and found it canceled nobody home .I never left my house all day ( I did not own a car at they time ) now I am being billed for mist service call and two cable boxes ( second service man never turned it in the old on I guess ) been with sudden link for 25 yr and now they cheat me like this

Horrible customer service! First they charge us ten dollars a month for 22 months for a router we where not using. Spent 4 months arguing with them for some sort of credit. They didn’t even come close but what ever. They have the market cornerd where I live so not many choices. Signed up for cable and they scheduled our install waited all day no one showed then said no work order was put in escheduled waited all day no one showed! Called in and of course they want to reschedule! I wish we had more choices here! Ridiculous ! I do not know how a business run this way is still in business!

Internet service is inconsistent in the area where I live. I pay over $100 a month for a speed I have NEVER gotten, the last 3 months my internet has been in and out with the last 4 weeks being the worst. Ive called them about it and all they will tell me is that the node Im on is in distress and that they were working to fix it. That was at the beginning of the year and I thought they fixed it. Last night my internet starts dropping in and out and I call them, node in distress again. Which makes me think they never fixed it in the first place. Im totally fed up and as several have pointed out, they are the best ISP in town. I feel powerless as a consumer and am fed up with going weeks without a service Im paying so much for when it doesnt even work properly. I wouldnt recommend them to anyone.

Would give zero stars but forced to one. Worst customer service lady ever! Super rude and talking to me like Im stupid. Seriously consider who you hire, Suddenlink. You will lose business like that. Take some tips from AT&T services! Dont recommend Suddenlink to anyone.

We have been out of service for 6 weeks now. We have been on phone everyday with someone . They say they cant get a bucket to put our line back up . We have been with suddenlink for little over 2 months and now 6 weeks of that we have had nothing . Super frustrated.

Not only did they put my card on autopay without my says so, they refused to make it right by having to charge me 10$ when I pay over the phone. Also the internet thats unlimited is throttled at times instead of receiving 100mbs youll get 20mbs. I would be wary of these guys and avoid any business with them.
