Ive been using Brookshire Bro Pharmacy, Chestnut Village for approximately 8 years now. I love the drive-thru convenience but you can pick up your scripts inside as well

I love Brookshires; dont get me wrong but, they had nothing I was looking for . They really needed to restock. Seriously, I think they might need to put up an HIRING sign. I mean the ones that were there barely wanted to help me find what I was looking for. And was more so just trying to get me out of their hair. This particular Brookshires was on Chestnut Dr. Now I hardly ever go there. But, the one on Frank St didnt have what I was looking for so I went Chestnut Dr and ended up disappointed and a little ticked. But, to settle that I know my place there. Ill stick with Frank St. They have the kindest employees there.

We stopped in to run our truck thru the car wash... The payment was taken but the car wash was having a bad day and not working. The nice guy at the customer service area refunded our money... Quick, easy, and painless! 👍👍

Its brookshires, I get it, it doesnt have everything but still quite disappointing, has an odd smell but I still do there when I need a few small things.

They dont have the bakery cookies I like all the other BB do

Beware, I call to get a fresh 8 piece of chicken, once again they give me the old stuff. I am so tired of getting ripped off here. Clearly its fine with the managers since I have brought this to there attention EVERY time it has happened to me. Hey Brookshire Brothers, I call because Im tired of fried chicken jerky to begin with. 😞

Once again brookshires employees treated me disrespectfully and childishly and combative I just left the tobacco barn, after asking an employee why I had to stand around and wait for service while she was sitting in a chair on her cellphone. The girl totally ignored me and another employee said she couldnt use the register. I asked why she couldnt tell me that herself, and she continues to ignore me, and the other employee said she had her earphones on. Then, the girl on the phone says, Im not in the clock. Wow, there were three employees in the tobacco barn, and two could not wait on me I said it doesnt look good to play on your phone while someone is waiting and they continued to make excuses and treat me like some second class citizen. I worked for brookshires for 4 years and would have never dreamed of talking to someone like that. I saw so many people fired for much less. You can make excuses all you want, but no one should stand at the counter waiting to be checked out while an employee sits in a chair in front of your face tapping on their cell phone

Great company with great people. Friendly employees are a staple here, a smile on every face. The best fried chicken in town with the best customer service bar none! Cant go wrong!

They always have everything Im looking for.

Kinda frustrated, 2 checkers working, 16 people in line, one computer hangs up, managers walking around could care less. I cant understand why when you have that many people in line, you will not open another register. Never expected BB to be going like Walmart. I suspect some of the Brookshire Brothers would be livid!

Store is great, but some of the younger staff had bad attitudes and seemed to have an arrogant manner about them. it wont stop me from shopping there in any way at all. store is clean and as organized as a grocery store should be.

Brookshire s always has what Im shopping for. Quality is great.

I ordered my 99 year old Grandmother a cake from the Bakery manager Melinda, I showed her a picture how I wanted the cake decorated she said ok no problem. I picked the cake up today it was not how I wanted it decorated at all. I wish I could upload a picture of what I wanted and what I got .Grandmas name was even spelled wrong

I give 4 vs 3 stars because it is a very neat and clean store that is easy to shop at without a crowd or cramped spaces. However, selection and prices might need a little improvement. Also, I can not forget to give thanks to one of the managers for a very good complimentary breakfast.

Today (6-28-2016) my husband and I decided to get an order of chicken from here. We got the meal deal which was a simple 12 pc. with Hawaiian roles and a gallon of Milos sweet tea. I was informed that I had to go to the back of the store to get the tea, no problem. When I got there, the Milos tea was empty. (I feel they should check it and keep it stocked if it is part of a popular meal deal as I met a man getting the same thing we ordered and he did not get his tea either) When I told the woman behind the deli counter, she was very friendly and went and told the office for me. However, the manager was not very friendly. She seemed quiet annoyed that I wanted the tea that came with the deal THEY are advertising! I literally stood at the office counter for about 15 minutes for something so simple as tea! They didnt even know how much the tea cost! We get our food home and it tastes awful! The okra tasted like it literally had been sitting there since lunch and judging by how the manager was running the store, Im assuming it was...My husband enjoys their chicken from time to time, but we will not be back for this old and stale chicken. I dont like to post bad reviews, but we were extremely disappointed in the food and I was disappointed with how I was treated when it was their mistake.

I like the Brookshire Brothers on Chestnut because it has small town store feel. I get to see many of the same faces week after week. They are friendly and generally know where things are located in the store.

Brookshire bros. is like going into convenience store to buy groceries. Too, they dont carry a wide variety of anything.

The store was clean and tidy, the prices were a bit elevated but, good for the amount of products. I will return.

Its decent as grocery stores go. Its the middle tier of the brookshires in Lufkin. I usually go there if I need something and dont really feel like waiting since its rare theres much of a wait.

Dont care what any one says, this is the best fried chicken in town. Enjoy ! .

No good for nothing

I love Brookshires but the Chestnut location doesnt always have the freshest produce.

(5-12-19)My husband bought me flowers and a dozen chocolate covered strawberries for Mothers day, i ate 2 then i kept them in the refrigerator overnight got off work at 12 the next day i ate 2 more... then i realized they had mold all over them and under the chocolate.this did not happen over night! .. the expiration date is today 5-13-19.. i got very disappointed, but i did NOT show any attitude when going back to store, im eight months pregnant and defiantly do not want to eat mold! I brought them back to the store and they wanted to give me only half of my money back, but i just wanted strawberries..😐 the lady manager and the bakery lady kept telling me that i should have kept them cold.which i did!!. My husband did not buy them cold they were on a table in the middle of the store!mabyethey should have kept them cold!!I ate two of them the stayed in my refrigerator until i got them out to eat more the very next day, i did get them to make me fresh ones but i felt like i was being called a lier the entire time... i did not appreciate that at all, also i did not even get an apology for them selling me MOLD on my strawberries!!😣😣😣😣😣😣😣😣😣😣😣😣😣😣🙁🙁

My very first visit today. The staff were all friendly but that is about where it stops as far as this store. I realize now that I must have a shoppers card to get some of their sale items however, the online site says that I needed to enroll at a kiosk in the store...well...no kiosk anywhere in this store ! (Kroger can sign you up immediately for their fuel points and savings.) I had to cross many items off of my list because I would not qualify for the sale price and their regular price was way more than other stores. Their brand of cottage cheese was expired so I did not get it.i found several meat and dairy items that were out of date. Not sure I want a saving card from here. I do not have time to police the dates on every one of my items. I will try another location and see if it is any better.

Lufkin Texas Brookshire Brothers is an above average market with good food and produce selections and clean market. Their organic selection is limited...but growing.
