Busy shop. If your looking for SE Bikes this place gets them but they go so fast. SE are shipped and there isnt any way to know when there coming in. Be patient or buy on from a private owner. Customize and repair here for great service and knowledgeable bike people.

Was not helpful at all while trying to pick a bike. Waited 20 minutes to get in because of customer limit and was told they dont have any womens bikes at all so we were just out of luck. Wouldnt go back

Would not reccomend this place for anyone unless you are looking for a selection of bikes that are usually not carried in big box stores, some of the workers here (I dont know them by name) are VERY condesensing and will make you spend copious amounts of money for simple repairs, they will bash you for not buying from them if you come in with a bike bought elsewhere. If your looking for simple, cheap, and quick bike repairs look no further than LYNBROOK BYCICLES, the owner is the only worker there but he treats everyones nicely.

You guys need to extend your closing time because i believe since a lot of people are using bicycles instead of cars, we need more time of service so it’s possible to reach there on time. It’s about to be summertime too and usually summertime most people are off work and would enjoy bike riding and we can’t get there on time because of the short hours.

We met the owner Tommy probably 10 years ago, when his store was located in Valley Stream. My wife surprised me with a new mountain bike for my birthday.When she detailed how helpful and patient the owner Tommy was in helping to find just the right bike, I was pleasantly surprised. Its rare to find such knowledge and experience, with patience and kindness.Over the years we have gotten to know Tommy better. Whether hilarious store voicemails, extended hours to meet customer requests, providing the best products in your price range, participating in local events, supporting causes, or just sharing a laugh, Tommy is unique to say the least.No reason to go anywhere else. Our family goes to there for all our needs, and dont plan to stop.KPT!!!

Generally a pretty good experience. Staff are very knowledgeable about bikes and welcoming. They have a wide range of models and prices. They also sell bicycle accessories.

Went there for a bike repair, great service.Took less than 30 minutes.2 issues:1 - Long line, he cant be blamed for that though.2 - My brakes arent as good after my repair.Overall, good service.

I live in north Jersey, on June 5th 2020 I was working in Long Island, I had been looking for a new mountain bike helmet, but can I find anything I liked at my local bike shops. When I was done working I searched for bike shops near me and found Valley Stream. When I got there I told the guy was looking for a new helmet. This guy started showing me a bunch of helmets oh, he was very knowledgeable, and I really needed it to buy a helmet cuz I was going biking the next day. I felt like I was actually starting to be very annoying as a customer I kept insisting I wanted to get a dark helmet with a visor. The guy helping me turned out to be the owner Tommy. He must have showed me 10 different helmets and then finally he pulled one out that was perfect exactly what I was looking for. Tommy thanks again for your help and your patience, youve got a great store and a great staff, the only thing Im sorry about is that you dont have a bike shop in North Jersey where I live thanks again

What a wonderful experience!!! Tommy the owner and his son were perfect!! Not for a second did we feel pressured into a sale, their patience with our inexperience made us feel so comfortable, and they got us into the perfect bikes for what we needed. My boyfriend needed a larger frame to be built and they had it ready for us same day within 2 hours!! I purchased a cannondale c4 from here on May of 2017. Couldnt be happier with my purchase, Ive ridden this bike quite a bit and it has proven to be durable and reliable. Great staff, Excellent customer service, theyre very knowledgeable and gave me exactly what I needed. I would shop here before going into a commercial chain store, the experience is just better in every way!!!!

The owner, Tommy is so nice and helpful. I bought my bike from them 3 years ago and I recently had a problem and even though I bought the bike 3 yrs ago they were as helpful as if I bought it yesterday. I highly recommend this shop! They have fantastic bikes and even more important, great help! Im so happy to have bought my bike from them!

The owner of this shop, Tommy, is fair and courteous and will take the time to get to know you. He will help you make a selection oftentimes recommending items that may be a better fit for your needs though less expensive than what he could be trying to sell you. There is no doubt that he is passionate about bicycles and biking, and hopes to instill that same passion in his customers.

If you have a flat fixed, I suspect they cut your tire. Then they tell you that you need a new tire too. Its and old ploy. So thoroughly inspect your tire first. So instead of paying twelve dollars, your paying sixty. The owners is sketchy as hell. New tire was also mediocre quality, and high price.

RUDE! The guy with long hair and older guy are nice, but theres the guy in his 30s with a crew cut who needs to learn how to deal with customers. Needed a new tire and treated me like I was inconveniencing him, huffing and puffing at me. Told him Im taking the bike back and I said as Im leaving Id give you my business if you werent so rude. He literally RAN into my face saying to say it to his face. Who acts like this! PS he wanted $45, took it to lynbrook bicycle down the road for $25

This is a great shop! If you want a personal relationship with a shop and its owner this is the shop for you! My friends and I have bought 6 bikes over an 8 month period. All of our bikes are high end road bikes. The staff here is very professional! While I was completing a $3000 bike and accessory purchase a pro biker was present. Not only did he spend over an hour fitting me on my bike he also gave me helpful training tips. He also helped me install my shoe clips for my pedals. Oh yea did I mention he did all that for free!This shop is ALL PROFESSIONAL!! New location is 476 Merrick road in Lynbrook.

Walking into their bike shop was a pleasure. I was not being sold anything, just educated. The owner seemed to genuinely enjoy what he does. I would highly recommend these guys based on their knowledge, attitude, selection, and of course prices.

I have been visting Valley Stream Bicycle for over five years now. This week i just realised how time really flys, just over 30 something years ago i walked into Valley Stream bike with my DAD and brought my first Cannondale from valley stream bike shop..Through the year iv brought skate boards, bike parts, and more bikes. In todays times one would say its just a bike u can get them from anywhere--- ABSOLUTELY NOT----, this past thursday i went into Valley stream bikes new location in Lynbrook with my son who is 7 and i purchased him his first cannondale from the same store that i did when i was younger and from THE SAME OWNER.. Its almost unheard of seeing a store still around from when i was little but to see Tommy from over 30 something years being as friendly as the first day i walked in... my son, mind u who is 7 said to me after putting his bike in my truck DAD when i have kids im going to bring them to Tommys shop so i can buy them a bike from him, i like tommy he listens to me when i talked to him.... just hearing that from my son just shows they reason why Valley Strream Bike is still around.... needless to say im sure i will be back there real soon because my older daughter wants a new bike and i will never go anywhere else..... ps today saturday i stopped in with my oldest and left with a bike computer for my sons new bike and riding gloves for my oldest.... and all i heard all day was if im good can we go back and choose my new bike....... bottom line when u buy anything from Tommy, from that day on u have a friend for life.......

1990 Is when I first came into Valley Stream Bicycle. The owner Tommy (Q) Cuccias immediately made me feel at ease. I purchased my first mountain bike (specialized rockhopper). Well 23 years & seven bikes later, numerous parts and accessories, and of course a good friend, Im still hangin with the Q. Hes the kind of owner who takes pride in his shop, make people feel at ease, and gives the best price out there. I have recommended countless people to Q for bike purchases and repairs. Even if you are some distance form Valley Stream bicycle of Lynbrook, its worth getting your bike from THIS shop.
