Jeff and his team are great to work with. I needed a tire repaired and they were able to get me worked in the day that I called. Professional, timely and the price was right. I will be bring my other car here for future maintenance as well.

I was in dire need of a 30 minute serpentine belt job on my car to get home and was already had the belt. The person on the phone got Got all my information already knowing they were not going to work me in as requested, quoted me 3 hours at $95.00 labor. Told me it would be 3 days. My car was across the street from there facility. Some help they were. So why didnt they just say sorry no cant do it. Why go through all my info But I found Amherst Tire and Auto they did it in 35 mins charged me for 1 hour and their hourly fee was $65.00. I gave them $70. So the only thing good about Chrome auto is it lead me to Amherst Tire and Auto

Over filled motor oil every-time i got it changed. I asked them to change the transmission filter & I supplied the filter but they overfilled my transmission with the trans oil. it was a quart over which is not healthy for a transmission! I shouldnt have to check a mechanic after paying him for him to do his job. when I had my catalytic converter replaced i had to get it towed the next day because there was a bolt that have came loose. Obviously the work performed isnt being checked or is not educated enough to do so.

Chrome auto has been nothing but great to me and my wife over the last few months with how they’ve handled her 2011 Outback. It has given us way more headaches than a Subaru should have, but Jeff, Mark, Asher, and the rest of the guys at Chrome Auto have been exceptional, going above and beyond in everything they had to do to get it to stop turning on it’s dashboard warning lights. They we’re understanding and took all the time necessary with us to explain in non-mechanic terms why the car was doing what it was doing and what our options were. We have never felt like we were trying to be sold parts or service we didn’t need (except for a lift kit out of good fun!), and we intend to come back for any other car troubles we might have. We know we’re in good hands with Chrome.

I met owner through market place. He purchased some items we had for sale. When I found out he had a shop we did a partial trade. He gave me a time and they began work promptly. The staff is very courteous and professional. They took the time to check vehicle over and make recommendations on things that will need attention. I didn’t feel pressured like some shops to do them immediately. Out of all the shops I have seen around the Lynchburg area and afar his rates are the lowest in the Valley. They aren’t a cookie cutter franchise either. So you can usually get about any sort of service needed. They are also about building relationships and looking to earn and retain your business.

Ive been searching for a new mechanic since my last one retired. These guys are always friendly and professional when I deal with them. Never pushy. Their prices are actually cheaper than another mechanic I had started using.

I called to make an appointment for my state inspection. The manager told me to drop it off and they would fit it in their schedule. They had it done in a couple of hours. The office is clean, the people are friendly and seem to like working there. Very pleased with their customer service and am happy to have found a new repair shop.

Took my new to me/ used truck in to get the balance checked on the tires because of a vibration/shuddering above 45 mph. The owner gave the job to his kid whos learing to be a mechanic, when they finish the job I asked if the tire were way out of balance and I was told there didnt check the balance just removed the weights and rebalance the tires. I also asked if the rims were straight and I was told he didnt know. After I got the truck back it had the same vibration so I ordered new tires thinking it was a tire issue. I spent $600 on new tires. When I called to check prices to install the tires the son answered the phone took home several min to figure out how much they charge to install the new tires, I also asked how much an alignment cost after several mins he never could figure out the cost for an alignment. After calling around I found they were $20 to $40 higher to mound and balanced 4 tires so I went to another shop. Wile the other shop was balancing the tires he noticed 2 of the rims were slightly bent. So I spent $700 on tires i didnt need and now I still have to buy 2 rims and pay to have the tires swapped. All rims because this guy is letting his son work unsupervised.

Maryland owned con $ 30 to mount and balance 1 new tire said it needed 2 had 3 new tires on already. $ 500 for rear shocks could get dealer to do for half that ! Beware!
