Fantastic service.I have a 2004 VW Passat. I take it here exclusively. Dave and his team does great work. They explain very well their recommendations and always have good communication throughout the repair/maintenance process.I highly recommend for VW vehicles. They know their stuff, and wont take you for a ride.

Like other reviews, I found Courtesy Auto Service honest, fair, and professional. I needed some overdue work done on my car and they were excellent at telling me what was necessary or unnecessary. Its great to find a local shop in the neighborhood I moved to, but Id definitely recommend them no matter where you live in the Madison area.

On the recommendation of another service shop in the area, I brought in the first VW Ive ever owned.The mechanics are incredibly helpful, and the work itself was an incredible value for the price. While under the hood, Dave found a broken hose and chose to repair it for zero dollars because it was easy and he could.I will never take my car anywhere else.

The rear suspension went out on my Passat during the pandemic and Courtesy Auto Service was the only place open at the time who could help me and could get the parts needed to fix it. My car had to sit for three days for quarantine but once they could start working on it, I was back on the road that same day. Dave was super helpful and went above and beyond my expectations. Great neighborhood mechanic.

Dropped my car off with Dave a few hours ago because it was making some funny noises. We got the car back and he said he only needed to tighten a few lug nuts so there was no charge. Let me tell you with Christmas being a few weeks away that is really appreciated. Now that we have our car back so quickly I won’t have to bike to work in cold tomorrow. Double bonus!!

Great service! I recently had an issue with the speed sensor on my VW Golf and they got it in the next day and had it fixed by noon. Dave always takes the time to talk me through the problem and my options for fixing my car. They dont overcharge and have even used spare parts they had in the shop rather than replacing whole sub-assemblies at a higher cost, which is what the dealership would have done. Ive been taking my car to them for years and only have good things to say about Courtesy Auto.

Wow! VW owners, dont take your vehicle anywhere else! I drove from IL to WI for my timing belt service because of the great reviews and lower prices from this shop. I couldnt have been happier with my experience from start to finish. They are VERY knowledgeable about VW and TDI cars and it showed. All my repair work was performed as promised and in a timely fashion. I loved the text notification when the vehicle was finished and they had no problem coordinating my out of state commute with dropping off and picking up my vehicle. I could not ask for a better all around experience and plan on making the trip any time in the future I need major service done. Thank you!

My VW died and this place was recommended to me. Turned out to be a great recommendation. Good, honest mechanics are hard to find. Long story short is that this place is excellent. I read the two negative reviews and cant honestly understand them. This place was great. The owner took the time to explain my problem to me and had my VW fixed quickly (even though he was busy).If you have a VW, this is the place for you!

Dave is the absolute best and most honest mechanic around. When I bought my 12 year old Jetta, I took it to him for my first oil change and he looked over the whole car for me at no extra charge. After that I continued to take my Jetta back to him for everything from oil changes to coolant system issues and tire rotations. He was always honest, stayed true to his quotes, explained everything to me and was willing to answer any and all questions. He never once treated me like a girl and I never felt like I was being taken advantage of. I didnt realize just what a gem Courtesy Auto was until I moved out of state and have had to deal with a dishonest mechanic who has left me with a broken car that cost a lot of money. If I could, I would have my car towed back to Dave so he could make it right!

Very knowledgable about VW cars. Dave gives good advice about what needs to be done vs whats just a good idea and Why he thinks so. Not the lowest price but better than Zimbrick and I trust Im getting value for my money.

If you have a VW (or Audi) this is the place to go. I like to do as much work as I can on my VW Passat, but if theres something I cant do or dont want to do, Dave is the guy that I go to. Service is great and the prices cant be beat! Forget Zimbrick and go straight to Courtesy!
