This place is great. I had an alternator fail on a Friday morning that had just been installed by another mechanic (who was on vacation). Even though I didnt know where the other mechanic had gotten the part and had no receipt for it, Apex tried several parts stores until they found one who said it was their part. So I got a new alternator installed under warranty by the end of the day Friday and only had to pay for labor. Thank you so much!

He helped us get some of the best warranty coverage you can even get on a older car like I got. Bumper to bumper coverage for 50,000 miles or the length of my loan. If your looking for a car and dont know where to go you would just be doing yourself a favor to stop here before you go anywhere else. Every experience I’ve had at Apex Auto has exceeded my expectations. Their prices are beyond fair, and I always feel like they’re under charging me. I recently needed my drive belt changed, and one shop quoted me at around $140. I called Apex to see what they could do, and they quoted me at $80 (for parts and labor). On top of that they got me in the same day. The owner was going on vacation for a week and a half and didn’t want me to go without my car being looked at. When I got there I could see how busy he was, but still got me in right away. I love going to this place. Everyone who works there is kind and honest. I highly recommend them.

Scheduled an appointment to get an estimate. I arrived at the scheduled time. Waited 17 minutes before sending a text to the number provided on their site asking if my appointment was on the schedule for that day. Received a response that literally said nothing but “20 min.” I responded to say I had to go to work and couldn’t wait. The response received was unapologetic and antagonistic, saying they “can’t fly” and I should try a more expensive shop down the street. I’ve since happily taken my business elsewhere. I’d suggest you do too.

Vadim was happy to provide me a rough estimate for the tune-up I wanted done on my car. I took my car over so he could provide a more accurate estimate (for free); it was fine with him that I didnt want the oil change and filter changes that are usually done with this kind of tune-up. He even offered me a ride back home on dropping off my car. He did a great job with the service, at a competitive price. Afterward, he and Irina took time to explain another major repair that is due soon.

Very fast and reasonably priced

I found Apex Auto after my car broke down about 7 or so years ago and Vadim has been my trusted mechanic ever since! Ive had 3 different cars over the years that hes worked on, one of my cars I bought from the used cars there at Apex. Trustworthy, talented and reasonably priced mechanical work, I recommend Apex to all my friends!

Went last week with a leak in the coolant, and the car overheating. They took it in immediately at 8 and all work, new water pump, new hoses, and other work unrelated to the coolant were done by noon. The price of the equipment was at cost and the labor was very reasonably priced. The next time the car needs worked on I will be bringing it back to Apex.

He did a great job on my brakes and was great with communication and being available. I plan on taking my car here for repairs from now on.

I bought a used Subaru Legacy from Apex. The car was in great shape and reasonably priced. When I was test driving it, the check engine light came on. Vadim ran his scan tool for me and we looked up what the code meant. It was an easy fix and he took that into consideration when I gave him an offer. They also gave me a legit and accurate car history report, which I cross referenced against the one that I had bought.The car needed an alignment quickly after I bought it. I returned it to Apex and they gave me a good deal. They also spent sometime trying to locate a squeak coming from the rear, and did not charge anything for labor.Vadim and his daughter will treat you well. Vadim can come off gruff but dont let that bother you.

We bought a budget vehicle from Vadim. He told us upfront what its problems were and what we should expect to break down. These were the only problems we had with the car.Vadim was also very helpful and willing when it came to fixing the car, always explaining everything in detail, charging reasonable prices and taking minimal time.We were really glad to have a reliable and honest car mechanic! If any of us ever goes back to Madison, then Vadim will be the only choice for car services.

My family and I were on a 6 hour car drive when, after a stop at a gas station, our engine started shuddering. With a minivan packed full of six people and a highly energetic dog we limped onto the highway and kept going. I told my dad that we should stop and get the check engine light checked out - he told me it would cost 170 dollars at a dealer, but as we drove through Madison I convinced him that most repair shops do it for free.So we drove to the most reputable and best rated shop in Madison - Apex.The car seemed to have fixed itself as we got nearer, but we pressed on. When we arrived my father went inside and came out almost immediately with Vadim, his diagnostic tool clutched in his grease stained fingers. Obviously he had been working on something else but came out into the crappy, cold, rainy day. Apparently, one of our cylinders had been misfiring. He gave us the error codes for later, cleared the light, and went back in, refusing any tips that my dad pressed on him. We piled back in and drove on, and as we left Madison behind I turned to my dad and told him he owed me 169 dollars.Thanks Vadim, I could not be more impressed with the service.
