I came in town for the 70.3 Ironman. I came to the Trek store because I had an online return (which they promptly took care of) and I need a few last minute items for the race. The staff was very friendly and the store was well stocked. I LOVE my Trek and highly recommend not only the bikes, but THIS store.
We always have had great experiences at the Trek East Side store. We have worked with 3 different staff members over the 3 recent visits and all of them were super helpful and great to work with. All three of our kids are really happy with their new wheels! We will continue to use this as our home bike shop! Thank you!
Probably the best bike shop in the world!!! I am a Trek cyclist/fan for several years and I live in the United Kingdom. I was looking for a cap and came across the Trek Happy Bike Trucker cap. The only problem is I cant buy one in England. The Trek stores over here dont stock them. So I e-mailed a Trek Store in the USA and chose one in Wisconsin. Well luckily for me I got a response from Nathan and he said that he had put a hat to one side for me and said he would post it out to me! Now this dude knows I will probably never walk in to the store and spend 1000s of dollars on a bike (but if I could I would), but he has given me the most amazing service regardless. I called him up and we chatted about my project one Trek bikes and then he assisted me in the best way for me to get my hat collected and shipped to the UK. Talk about going the extra mile. Thank you Nathan. No wonder Trek Bikes has such a following, not only do they make the best bikes, they employ the best people! Cant wait to receive my cap! Thanks again!
Back in April of 2021 I decided that I wanted to get back into cycling. I hadnt actually ridden since high school and had donated my old bike to a neighbor so that their kid could get some use out of it. I was surprised to learn that during the pandemic cycling had blown up as a hobby and that a bicycle in the style I wanted was going to take till nearly the end of summer to arrive. So I was very excited this week when I got a call saying my bike had arrived and was ready for pickup.The gentleman who helped me when I came by to pick up the bicycle I ordered was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. I had a lot of questions which Ben was more than willing to answer. His passion for cycling is one of the reasons I decided that Ill be coming back to Trek for all my cycling needs from now on.
I received immediate, friendly, experienced service in my most recent routine repair. While some stores were 3-5 days out on a simple tire change (Ironman weekend — whattaya gonna do), I was able to get in and out of Trek Madison East in ten minutes time. Excellent work!

Sorry, Trek, my experience earned you a 1 star rating, however, Im giving you an extra star, because your store was clean and inviting and had more inventory than the store in my town.I was so disappointed. My Trek store in my town didnt have the bikes I wanted to test drive so we drove 90 miles to Madison East. A salesclerk, who was assisting a customer from the register stand, waved at my daughter as we walked in, but as we walked around the store for more than 30 minutes, we were completely ignored. There were several models of bikes I wanted to test drive and a bike seat my daughter was ready to purchase, but none of the 4 employees even made eye contact with us. If anyone of them would have at least said, We can help you shortly or SOME acknowledgment, we would have continued to be patient and make our purchases. Instead, my daughter put the bike seat back on the rack and we left the store. Some other bike shop will now get our money.

The staff was friendly from the time I called to inquire about a bike, through purchase and through adding a rear rack. Their on-line inventory was up to date so the bike I was interested in was in stock. There is a quiet parking lot to try out the bike. Megan was helpful in explaining the the bike and return process if I didnt like it. Scott was very helpful in finding the correct rear rack that went on my bike. When the rack arrived, someone helped me get it out of my truck. The rack was installed within an hour. Everyone Ive talked with at the shop, from sales to technicians were always polite and helpful. If they couldnt answer a question, they found someone that could. I would definitely recommend Trek Madison East and I love my Electra Townie 7D.
I have never put a foot in that nice store but have instead spent 15min extremely helpful minutes on the phone with Brandon N. After having some issues with hardware on my 9.8 slash and finding local shop not very helpful (I guess too busy), I called Brandon thinking I called Trek corp office. He took the time to point me in the right direction, and offered very helpful advice.I wish I bought my bike from that shop. Thank you!
I had a great experience the the East Madison Trek Store both times I was there. The first time to test ride electric bicycles and the second time to pick up my new Verve + 2. When I went to test ride I was helped by Brandon Nguyen he is very friendly and professional. He took time and explained all the aspects of the different bikes and was very patient with an old guy that doesnt know anything about ebikes. When I picked up my new bike Brandon also helped me understand all the functions and again very professional. I love my new bike Ive had it for 4 day and already have 50 miles on it. I would recommend Trek and the East Madison Trek Bicycle store to anyone.

Ben was great and very knowledgeable. He was welcoming and made my wife (new rider) not feel out of place with the questions she was asking. Everyone chipped in to check a wide variety of thing we had questions about (financing, maintenance, future upgrades, etc) prior to even purchasing the bike.
Ben, and all of the other guys we worked with were wonderful. We went to trek looking for an EMTB that would fit my husbands needs since his old one (not trek) decided to break its crank arm that is near impossible to replace currently, and Ben directed him/us to what we were looking for. Ben answered all of the questions, and even gave us stickers! I cant recommend them enough!
Brought in a seat Id purchased on line. Guy put it on my post and everything. Then when we realized it was wrong size he brought out 3 different seats for me to choose from. My bike is not even TREK!!!
Sales is great, service is a different story. I’ve had multiple experiences with the service manager that have not be great. He is somewhat condescending and has a hard time giving timelines. It seems as if he doesn’t want the business.Go to SlowRoll or Trek West. Much better experience and more helpful.
Due to the COVID supply issues, I drove 2 hours to Trek Madison East to check out the road bikes they had in stock. Both Nathan and Brandon were absolutely incredible with assisting me in making a decision. I really appreciate the level of expertise and customer service I was shown. I purchased a new Trek Dual Sport in Dec last year. Bike had a rack installed on show room model. Three months later I was refunded the price of this rack to purchase a competitors rack. Kate was very helpful and concerned for my safety and satisfaction. Great selection

I ordered a bike for my wife in August. We were told it might be available as early as Christmas or January at the latest. In January it quickly became March. Today we were told maybe June if we are lucky. I refuse to believe Covid is the reason when I see reviews from folks who are riding and enjoying their Verve 3 already. They happen to live in Florida, California, and Arizona. We paid almost $900.00 for her bike in full. I refuse to except excuses anymore. I believe we are owed a bike or a refund with interest for our time and disappointment. I will never recommend ordering a bike from this store. Buyers beware, if not on the shelf, don’t give them your money.
I bought a new Saris car rack from Trek East and was helped by Ben. He really went above and beyond, helping install it and walking me through using it safely. He answered all of my questions, was courteous, patient and respectful about Covid precautions. Such a great company, hiring great people. Thank you, Trek!

Trek did a great job of fitting out a bike for my 7 yro - able to get it set up and out the door in less than 1 hour. First gear bike, and a very happy kid.

Being pretty new to biking my Fiancé and I went to Trek east side with some very basic knowledge of bicycles. We were looking for road bikes as we wanted to take it more seriously and understand what cleats would work for our Peloton that was coming. Update: My bike was due for some maintenance and so I called for an appointment. No appointments needed. The drop off process was extremely pleasant and informative and the bike was ready after a half day. The pickup process took less than two minutes and everything is perfect. Great experience once again. And the cost was quite reasonable.I brought in my Trek Domane for service and had an opportunity to speak with multiple technical and sales people. Everyone was pleasant, helpful, and informative. I would expect this type of service from a one-off bike shop but not a corporate store. The cost of service was also a very pleasant surprise.Im very happy with this service and look forward to returning. Much appreciated!
Weve invested in three Trek bikes in the last few years from both West and East Trek Stores. Were a Trek family!Although there was a small bike accessories order mishap at Treks East, Treks customer service resolved the issue promptly. Super happy for my siss birthday gift that Trek East installed of my bike rack and basket!

I went in to get a new bicycle helmet since I havent ridden a bike in a few years, and the Trek staff member was very helpful, knowledgeable, and very kind. They explained the types of helmets they had and the differences between helmet types, and even helped me find the correct helmet for myself! They even explained that their store, the Trek Bicycle Madison East store, has an extended replacement policy in the event that an accident should occur, where I could get a replacement helmet for up to 1 year for free!To me, as a person taking up riding my bike again, I found this to be very encouraging to use my bicycle more.Thank you!

Great place for repairs! Recently moved back to the area, and I forgot how great it was to have such knowledgeable mechanics so close by in Madison. I recently came in after a a long hiatus from maintenance, and these guys were able to answer all my questions—they were professional and thoughtful. Bryce is the reason my partner and I will continue to bring our bikes to Trek.

I have never had better customer service than Trek East. Everyone is so knowledgeable and caring, and no matter what questions I have they’re answered fully and honestly. I have never been steered wrong and they always respect my budget! As someone newer to cycling, they’ve really made sure I have what I need and I’m safe!

I drove 100 miles to get my Domane. I wasnt sure between SL 4 and SL 5. I asked them to have both available for test ride. Brendon was very helpful in the process. He was very polite, helpful and knowledgeable. He gave me his advice but did not forced me in making my decision. It took a while store got closed but the guy who was preparing by bike took extra time to show me how to change tube. I feel safe observing store employee were wearing masks and they were following CDC guidelines. I was not expecting such a good service from a corporate owned store. I will recommend this store to anyone who is looking to buy a bike.
Trek is the only place we buy our bikes! This visit was for a trade in/up to the next size bike for my son. Brandon helped us out, and his knowledge of the bikes as well as passion for the sport and helping others is incredible! He did a wonderful job getting my son fitted with the correct size bike and making both him and me feel comfortable with the purchase! This visit also showed notable differences in the customer service after the purchase. I was given a brief tutorial on bike maintenance, and Ive never had this done before on my previous visits/purchases at Trek! Im not a bike expert, so the couple minutes briefing was much needed and appreciated! My son loves his new bike, as always, and I will continue to shop at this store, as it only gets better and better every time! Thank you, Brandon!

I am so disappointed with our experience at this retail shop. My husband dropped his bike off for a routine service in JUNE, we still DONT have our bike back. They called us after a week of having the bike to tell us that they had trouble finding the parts the bike needed. At that point my husband told them forget about the parts he would just take his bike back. They said they threw out the defective part already and they might be able to get the bike put back together the following week. Following week and they still didn’t have the bike ready and once again said it would be done in about two or three days. Repeat Themis process for the last four months. At this rate I don’t even know if they have our bike still, we haven’t heard back from them in over a month. This is by far the worst customer service I have ever experienced! Never take your bike to this shop, we lost a whole summer of riding because of this place!
Went in looking for a bike helmet for my 16 year old son. The gentleman was very helpful and showed me helmets in several price ranges to fit my budget. He didnt make me feel like a dope because I dont know much about biking and couldnt afford the $150 bike helmet. He was very knowledgeable and helpful. Trek is just an all around great company with very knowledgeable staff and I am always happy to give them my business when possible.

All I wanted was two new tire tubes. The sales rep was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. He filed down a rough spot on my tire rim free of charge. And, he would have put on the tire as well had I remembered to bring it with me. Super service!

I went in to this store shopping looking for a bike for my daughter and I. Dave was extremely helpful in narrowing down what kind of bike would suit each of needs. After careful consideration and much research, we did end up purchasing the bikes he recommended. We came in the next week to pick up the bikes and the staff working that day were also very helpful choosing accessories for our bikes, installing my new hitch bike carrier, and answering any final questions we had. My back tire was falling off and they. Tightened all bolts and oiled my chai . To ensure safety of my daughter.. even helped her pick a helmet! They are truly a great local business that shares their passion for riding. They have made a life long customer.
Bryce, in service, went above and beyond to help make our visit amazing! My tubeless wheel was dried up and I needed a quick fix. He was able to throw my tube in without as much as a conversation of a wait. Bryce also showed my friend and I how to navigate to downtown on our bikes AND he charged our lights to make sure that they were full for an evening of riding. Brandon, the manager, was super polite and very professional. He showed us how the bike infrastructure worked in Madison and steered us to parts of town that are the best places to go when visiting Madison.Madison East is a very clean shop with some amazing displays! I have been a loyal customer of theirs for 10 years now and have always been happy with the service I have received. They are not high-pressure; instead they are high-information when you have questions and curiosity. My only disappointment was their not taking in a new tire that had 15 miles on it when it either failed or was damaged by road debris. I thought it was a good opportunity for them to offer a little more flexible to a documented loyal customer, but they are also a profit-motivated business and I accepted the reasoning behind their decision.I have taken advantage of their Preferred Customer status to save some money on purchases. My Trek Pilot 2.1 has been a solid performer. Id love to upgrade and will someday, but I have not issues with the reliability and quality of my Trek! Its been a great steed. They have occasional sales on products where a buyer who does some planning and research can save good money on excellent products. Lastly, although Treks are not made in Wisconsin, they are a product of Wisconsin ingenuity and design. I derive pleasure in knowing I had that to help propel me down these lovely Wisconsin roads!

Purchased a bike here. The staff is so helpful and knowledgable they helped me so much. I never felt pressured to purchase anything and didnt feel items or bikes out of my budget where pushed onto me trying to get me buy higher than I intended. They helped me pick out appropriate accessories and had all the knowledge I needed to purchase a fantastic bike. I was in once before, before deciding what to buy (I wanted to check out the other bike shops around town) but ultimately came back to Trek because of the staff and how friendly everyone was to. It was like talking to friends giving you advice and I really appreciated that.

Quick turnaround fixing my bike after a muddy cyclocross weekend. Dropped it off with bottom bracket and headset bearings needing replaced, work was finished in a couple hours. Bike is riding super smooth, thrilled with the work and turnaround time.
