Amazing campground!! we asked for a quiet, more private site and got practically an entire row to ourselves. the owner, al, was hilarious, personable and made our stay so perfect! little things like wood and ice are very cheap. the swimming is super warm and renting a kayak is very reasonably priced as well! it’s very laid back and just feels like a home away from home!however, the bathrooms are quite sketchy. there’s a renovated bathroom which is very nice, the non renovated ones are very sketchy, old, and quite creepy.overall, very beautiful and welcoming and will definitely come again.
Very disappointed in this campground. We only had water half of the time. Was told we had a lake site, which we would have had only is cutting down a dozen trees that was between our site and the beautiful lake. The campground had showers and toilets that were in a basement made of painted concrete blocks. They did have a dump station but because there was no water we couldnt rinse out our tanks.I do have to say with proper maintenance and upkeep it has potential to be a great campground as the sites are spacious and the lake is beautiful. The site we had was adjoining to our friends that went also, so we did have a good site set up.
Priced high for very little amenities. Lack of firewood as well as water issues. No curfew for weekend party goers. Beautiful views in area
We had a great time and will definitely be going back again. Our sites were right on the beach and the view was great.
For over 40 years our family has been camping at Abnaki. We have always loved Abnaki The atmosphere has changed over the years but I like it even more now. It is so quiet and peaceful. Not overcrowded like some places. Plenty of space to spread out and relax. At times it almost feels like we have the place to ourselves. Lake is great for swimming and tubing. Movie night is always fun too. Cant wait to go back.
Fun for fishing with the kids
Nice camp ground and beach
I have to say... Bathrooms not perfect yet.. But we brought our own... The place was so awesome and so beautiful for the scenery. And * AL * is freaking amazing, so kind so considerate so easy going.. Helpful, understanding.. I feel like I left a little piece of my family when I had to leave.. If you like laid back, relaxing, nice beach to walk in.. This is the place. Its going to be an every year event now!!! WE LOVE YOU AL!!!
The fishing is great
Great place to camp. Friendly people and owner. Great prices.
Our stay at Abnaki Camp ground, was just as I remembered it was 45 years ago. The grounds are very well maintained, and the guests around are just so pleasant to camp near.Lots of kids having a great time. We will be back again in a few days to enjoy more beautiful days and make more memories. Thank you Al for making our stay so happy!!!!
We had a lot of fun there. The lake and beach are beautiful. We sang karaoke, went kayaking, and enjoyed meeting other campers. There is something heart warming about seeing a boy walk by with his fishing pole and tackle box. The owner is working hard to fix things and clean up. I was always taught you leave a site the way you found it. Unfortunately he had some rowdy and destructive crowds that destroyed beautiful fire pits. He got rid of the riff raff and now its a chill family place. We will be going back again next year!
Omg it felt like a total free-for-all!soooo noisy, people arguing and fighting, partying till 230 am,bathrooms havent been cleaned and the first ones we went to were straight outta a horror movie!NOT a place to go to relax!only good thing was the gentleman that checked is in,friendly and funny!
Quaint out of the way campground, located on lake wesserunsett. No frills, but fairly priced...
We stayed here one night this week and wish we had planned to stay longer. We were here on a Friday night so we missed the Saturday night camp sponsored bonfire. The campground was in a great location on the lake, and our campsite was right on the edge of the lake. Gorgeous spot, loons calling, nice breeze to chase away any mosquitoes. The owner, Al, was friendly, welcoming, and accommodating (when I couldnt decide which spot to choose, he was very patient and just let me go until I decided). Quiet, family-oriented campground. There are two wash rooms, one is older (more convenient to lakeside campsites) and the other is further away but brand new. I didnt spend enough time in the bathroom for it to make any difference to me -- everything there worked just fine. They have a campstore, bike and canoe rentals, and campfire wood for sale. I loved the place and look forward to my next trip to Maine.
Awesome campground great prices very quiet and just overall beautiful here!!
Great place to camp.Unfortunately not great for kids, not much for them to do.Too much competition from Yonder Hill.
