Seems like it is a good place to fulfill your sporting needs, but I guess I came at the end of the rush for fall sports and the stock was very limited to a what you see is what you get. Some major brands for soccer equipment werent represented. Not sure if the store/chain just doesnt want to carry those brands

Its a sporting goods store, not much to say. Wouldnt even bother with this review if I hadnt had to return/exchange something and got to expierence the customer service at this location past the standard ring it up and send it.They handled my exchange pleasantly, no trouble, and I walked out with some different products and a partial refund on my card. Somehow too many retailers manage to screw this critical customer interaction up.

They are clean, easily accessible, there are ALWAYS great sales!!! I can generally get what Im looking for without paying full price, no matter what time in the year Im shopping for. Theyre super friendly, respectful and great at helping you get what youve come for.

Watch for the deals. High markups, but good deals where you find them.Courteous staff, especially in the firearms section. Ammo is sparse, but keep coming back for the hidden deal.The website helps a lot as well, keeping you informed of what is available. My go-to outdoor store.

I try to go to every Academy I can find no matter what state we are visiting. They never disappoint. Can almost always find something on clearance rack

Academy had plenty of shoes in my size 9.5 -10 and a good selection to choose from, as compared to the four stores I recently visited. The staff was nice when asking questions, not put out and there was someone always close by to where you were shopping.

Came in and was helped very quickly in and out in less than 10min. Thanks and great job.

This place hits 1/2 the time. Often out of stock on specific items Im looking for, however I never leave empty handed and always find something interesting.

Quick and easy to get in and out. Clean and fast checkouts.

I met someone in the parking lot there to look at their vehicle to realize that I not wild about white vans. But I was going to consider it until I went home and told my wife and she said she didnt like white vans. That sealed the deal for me. The Academy sports parking lot worked out fantastic I dont whats going on inside

These people are ridiculous! I placed an online order for ONE item. Got to the store and it wasn’t ready. Was told it wouldn’t be ready for at least 45 minutes! Had to go through a refund and repurchase it because they were too freaking lazy to go get it off the shelf and fill the order! Absolutely the most horrible customer service ever!

Plenty of parking, clean store, associates are friendly and helpful. Can find good deals and typically in stock.

They have a great selection of anything you could need and great prices. And there is usually always something on sale.

Not sure what type of review I can give on Academy other than saying, its a sporting good store. Everytime I have been into Academy, its be clean and the staff has always been helpful. My latest visit involved hunting for a baseball bat for my 7yr old. I talked to one of the staff and he told me to feel free to find an open space in the store for my son to take a couple of practice swings. If youve ever shopped for a bat, you know this is a big deal. I appreciated them allowing my son to get a true feel for a bat before purchasing it. Thanks Academy!

I shop here more than I do at most places in town. great pricing friendly staff and good selection of Nike and under armour sport clothing. Also a decent collection of adias/Nike shoes

My husband recently bought some clothes from this Academy, and after realizing one of the shirts were too big, we decided to go and try to exchange it. Unfortunately we lost the receipt but since it was just an exchange, we didnt think it would be a big deal. Well, they did not have the shirt anymore, so he found another one he liked that was maybe $5 more. He told the cashier he wanted to pay the difference on it, and she said no problem. But then the amount for the shirt we were exchanging was only $3.. When asking why, she said it was because the shirt was on sale. But they did not have any of the shirts in store, or online when I checked. So how does a shirt go on sale if you dont even have any of them anymore? How is anyone supposed to know the price change if they dont even have the same shirt? She said we could get the same shirt rather than exchanging for a different one and paying the difference, but that was obviously impossible or he would have gotten his correct size in the first place. It was honestly a little offensive to be offered $3 for a shirt that cost $15-20 w/tax. Always keep your receipts ladies and gentleman.

I arrived at the store and BJ greeted & helped me immediately when I walked in. Martez at checkout was very efficient and friendly. Thank you Academy I was able to find everything I was coming for and more. I was going to have to go to more than one store but Academy was a One-Stop shop with reasonable prices.

Women work in steel/ composite toe shoes. Look at all the manufacturing jobs in North Alabama. 6 styles with very limited sizes for womens steel toe shoes. Probably 25 mens style choices and way more inventory. Stop being Sexist.

Not a lot to choose from when shopping in the store. I purchased curbside and decided to take 2 of the 3 bats back. When I went inside to pick up my order and explain this to them I was told that my order would be canceled and to just take the 2 items I wanted and pay for them at the register. I got several voice messages over the next week from employees reminding me to pick it up. I called the store, explained what I was told and still received messages for a few days via email and text reminding me to pick up my order. I finally received an email telling me that my order was canceled and my card was refunded.

Easy in and out. Plenty of handicapped parking made my wheelchair access a snap. Devan back at handgun case was helpful, friendly and answered all my questions. Bought some items in another part of the store and checkout was fast and easy. Will be back.

We love going here! So many good sales and they carry things my husband needs for his guns. My daughter recently bought me a conceal carry purse for my birthday and it is so perfect! My only issue with them is they cannot keep ammo stocked on the shelves. But there are many stores having this issue so its not them specifically.

Academy is hard to beat really. Sure, I like Bass Pro & Cabelas big fancy stores but the adequate selection of the things you need combined with some of the best customer service is worth choosing Academy.

Academy is my favorite sporting goods store. Reasonably priced and good selection. Also no awkward conversations about the store’s name with my kid unlike other sporting good stores in the area.

They sell higher class/more expensive product, but they have what you need for health.

Line was a bit long, but nice selection of apparel.

They had what we needed. But the associates need to be trained a little bit more in the departments that they are in.

I’ve never gotten good customer service the times I’ve been here. Have to wait five minutes or more at the counter before someone offers to help. Went today looking for some items in their sales paper. Couldn’t find them anywhere and staff was clueless about what was in the sales paper.

The were all wearing face masks as per state ordinance and they were quick to help me find what I needed.

Good service, but I did not feel safe. Out of 7 customers only 2 of us wore face mask protection, and out of 4 employees, only 1 wore a face mask....what is the deal with face masks?????....they protect against disease. I will not shop in this store again until they adopt a CDC policy for customers and staff. Not safe!!!!
