I used to work at a Penzeys in Illinois, so my standards are pretty high. This Penzeys always has excellent customer service, even now in the days of curbside orders! I definitely appreciate being able to get the spices Ive come to know and love even in these unprecedented times. ♥️

While I love their spices, I didn’t realize the stores are closed. I can’t figure out how to order for pickup online (only option I see is to ship to home). I was outside the store and tried to call for help and no one answered. I am so beyond frustrated - and driving back home empty handed, what a waste of time!

Shopping at Penzeys is a special treat. The East Madison team is comprised of the most delightful people. During the Stay at Home period, I have placed two curbside orders. Both transactions were seamless. The only thing I missed was the blend of fragrances from an in-store visit.

Absolutely love Penzeys! The quality is the best with all their spices. Always fresh, pungent, aromatic. Their private blends are amazing. Chili 9000 has become a staple to our homemade chili. Give it a try, you wont regret the experience.

I dont know of a business with more integrity and compassion. Definitely subscribe to their emails to see their special offer coupon days that cant be beat. You can practically build an entire pantry just with the free gifts they give out! Not only that, but all of their products are absolutely fantastic quality! So so delicious, and this store will kick your cooking up a few notches, whether youre into baking, or a chef, or someone just whipping up a box of mac & cheese.

What an amazing shop. From the pure herbs and spices to the seasoning blends, everything is as fresh as can be. They have something to create or enhance everything that you make. Spices are of average quality. We received a gift basket of Penzey Spices (a few variations of cinnamon) when we bought our new home from Byard of Rockford, Illinois, we used them right away, expecting them to be amazing based upon how expensive we discovered they were. Due to how much they cost, cant say we will be buying them again. Will stick with the organic spices I have been purchasing at our local grocer in town.

Stepped up my spice game. Fantastic vanilla options, cinnamon, and some great blends depending on your preferences. Taco blends, pizza seasoning, some of the peppers are all priced reasonable and frankly, seem to be off better quality than what you find in grocery stores. Worth it.

I can never leave without buying more than what I went in for. If you want great spices this is the place to go. Penzeys is all over so do stop in and visit

I believe the food I prepare would taste like garbage without Penzeys. They consistently deliver delicious, high-quality herbs and spices at a fair price and everyone Ive run into at this location and the one in Shorewood has been very helpful and friendly. Over the last 10 years, our spice supply has slowly transmogrified from a shelf of the cheapest crap you can find at Woodmans to a basket thats essentially a filing cabinet for bags of Penzeys spices, with an auxiliary spice rack full of jars of Penzeys spices. Some, like cake spice, are 10 years old, and not used very often, but still possess a remarkable bouquet. I love Penzeys spices, and I think they run a great company. It is great to be able to support a company both because of the product they sell and the people who make it all happen.

Spices all smelled fresh, and their jars for seeing and smelling the spices were nice. Their prices were high enough that I would hesitate to buy any of their spices without being able to taste or interact with them on top of just smelling them.
