It was good. You dont dipping sauce free when you buy fried chicken 🍗. If you are planning to eat it out, make sure you can buy it. It wont cost much. For me, I asked the staff and they brought it from the kitchen which costed $0.50 each.

Lovely park, great for quiet walks or if so inclined, a jog around the track. This park/recreation area has it all..a ball field, track, wooded paths and plenty of parking. Convenient to Malden and Melrose. Its clean and well appointed; looking for a relaxing stroll, head on over to Pine Bank!

The place is clean, most staffs are friendly when asked for help. My cashier’s name was Raylin? And the Bag boy named Nate, a medium big young white guy. Nate didn’t even acknowledge that I was there, after he bagged my stuff, I make sure to nicely said thank you to him, i don’t ask for much but just to simply acknowledge that I am thanking you for doing your job. But instead Nate just carelessly gave me my bag, gave me an attitude, and rudely turnt his back around. Shopped here on 10/08/2021 evening.

This STOP and SHOP has everything you need! Including a liquor store, dunkin donuts, a wide variety of food, happy cashiers!! It is also one of the cleanest! I will gladly go out of my way to go to THIS location

This location clearly said open until midnight but the manager, Eric and Joshua wouldnt let anyone enter the stores at 11:45pm. I will report this issues at the next shareholders meeting.

Prices are pretty high, unless you find a sale price on something. Most of staff, especially the boomers behind the customer svc desk are rude and the boomers are definitely prejudice, the bathroom is constantly disgusting-ppl o.d there sometimes so dont go in there just, hold it. The prep foods are overpriced and basic, and the hot bar lacks. I doubt they have professional food svc personnel, the bbq ribs are ok if youre into open air food.

This is one of my favorite locations due to its size and all the departments it has..I must say the seafood department is always on point and the workers have a great attitude. I have yet to have any problems here.

My cashier JOEL in the 12 items or less lane was very unfriendly. NO greeting, no verbal communications, no eye contact....I got more personality from the cleaning robot. After packing my items, he throws my bag at me! Not like I had any fragile groceries or anything! Ive been coming to this store for over 8yrs and have never experienced such rudeness. For the sake of future customers, plz pay him more $ or give him a vacation!

As supermarkets go, if you can go literally ANYWHERE ELSE - Shaws, Market Pantry, Whole Foods, Trader Joes, Wegmans - you really should. The prices are high, the quality of the produce is indifferent, and shopping there late in the week is a little like shopping in Warsaw in 1973. Worst of all, the staff are mostly incompetent, rude, and seem to think that customers are an inconvenience. The blowzy bottle-blonde woman at the customer service desk is one of the most unpleasant and nasty customer service people I have met in the Boston area. And thats saying something. Go somewhere else for your groceries.

I found everything but I bought a Stop and Shop gift card and cant use it for the liquor store so I was disappointed but a customer service was great experience only it looked like there was something at the checkout counter it was dried up looked like ketchup or blood they cleaned it up right away though I was very happy for that .The lady was very nice . The cashier needs some work in customer service. We all need to work together during this difficult times and hopefully we will get through this soon. Stay safe everyone. Store very clean, check rep came right over when I had an issue without me calling him over n was pleasant as I left. One thing, they should have someone disinfecting the area once a customer leaves. Other than that its a nice place.

Staff is always friendly & store nice & clean. Wish the selections were bigger but for the size, this store does have the necessities. The young Haitian guy in the butcher shop is the nicest kid i think I ever met & stop & shop is lucky to have him. He always goes above & beyond & is always in the best mood. I could go elsewhere to save a few bucks but Im a firm believer in you get what you pay for & I rather pay more to get more! This is why this is my #1 go to grocery store.

The people working the self-checkout are the hardest working people around. Pretty much every person who goes through self-checkout needs the attendant to reset the machines multiple times. Today my checkout required the attendant 4 times and I didnt do anything weird. This happens to everybody every time, and it is very annoying. It makes me angry at stop and shop every time I am there. But otherwise, this is a well-stocked, good place to shop. Would be 5 stars if you replaced ll of the checkout machines with a system that works.

Open both DOORS !!!! Or put a sign so people could tell its closed and go park closer to the other door.

Unfortunately food prices have been feeling like they’re soaring recently. Always thankful for their deals and the cleanliness of the store. Produce section could be revamped, but I’ve watched the vegan products slowly increase over the years.

Not too crowded considering last minute holiday shopping. All prepared foods were sold out, Ive never seen that. One central line for checkout youre directed to a register, but the line moved quickly.

I visited this store Friday April 16th at approximately 11:30 p.m. with my husband.the store was empty and shopping was a breeze.After the self checkout we were ready to go.I needed to use the bathroom and my husband said he would wait for me in the car.When I was exiting the store there was a manager at the door. The manager gave me a funny look and then asked if I was All Set?I was taken aback by this and asked why he would ask If I was all set? He stated because the store was closing.It was 11:40 and that stop and shop closes at 12:00.I found the whole interaction very awkward.Instead of maybe saying goodnight or have a nice night this manager asked if I was All Set in what I felt was a deragatory and inappropriate way that made me feel totally uncomfortable.Updated on 4/20/21= Tried calling but I was placed on hold for a long time. No worth my time to go over this again, and Im not willing to fill out a form that will not lead anywhere.I just would like for employees not to prejudge and make ppl feel like they robbed the store without any evidence. I know this store has its history, however, this type of behavior doesnt happen in the Newton S&S or other wealthiest town I visit.Google Maps does let you reply back after your first post

Someone had a bulldog in the store with two kids and it was not a service dog I didnt know dogs are allowed in supermarkets

They have an attitude at customer service desk for no reason, they do not know how to explain a situation in well manner. Including the manager Eric and the employee michaela as well. They’re getting business no matter what therefore they don’t seem to care about customers experience at all. I hope someone above them see this review.

I shop at stop and shop a lot and love that I get gas points, at one fill I was almost on empty and filled my tank at the Medford gas location for $7. I dont like the app being combined with $ back and the new go. but its worth it to just have a card because you will save lots of money on gas/food.. just a heads up bathroom is not always clean here hold it til you get home/next location..staff always polite and helpful. and you may even find a friend (or find yourself talking to ) Marty!! The Meat manager(at least I think he is sorry forgot name ) is awesome and been there for a very long time(they always provide great service and get you what you need even if it is not out yet..

You announce months ago that youre switching to paper bags. A month ago I see the paper bags as the priority bagging choice but now I dont even see them as an option, going back to all plastic. If you want to offer plastic bags thats fine but make paper bags the default. Plastic bags are horrible and mindless.

Long lines even before the current virus hit us all. The place has an old and aging urban feel to it. The general selection is good and reliable, better than Shaws. The bakery is awesome! The produce needs more attention. The meats are good but in need of better selections. Average experience overall.

Another chain grocery store in Massachusetts. Has most american groceries and few international food varieties. This particular has more Spanish foods. Prices are little higher in comparison to Market Basket but if you have stop and shop card you get some limited discounts and use points for buying gas at stop and shop or shell gas stations.

Don’t know why prices are so inflated, these guys don’t even bother to compare with competitors...

I called about putting an air conditioner aside to pick up later,and they were extremely helpful when i asked a few questions aboutthe item, plus they had it waiting when i got there (last one).I thought they did a great job during the pandemic, and you neverhad to wait in line very long to get inside.Roy & Eric are great managers, as well.

Had a rough experience checking out the computer froze, luckily Stella got Kelly who I know. She helped me rescan everything and get me out quickly, first time I had a great experience .The only difficult part was spending over an hour trying to get these things done, waiting 45 min in line and then that all my frozen products were thawed by then... spent a good $400.00 that day

Very fresh grocery, dairy, meat and poultry. Very good collection. Parking is big. Cleanliness maintained during covid.

Youll need to budget in extra time just to check out at this place. Half of their self checkout stations were down and four of the open ones had issues which slowed things down even further. It shouldnt take 15 minutes just to purchase one item.

Terrible experience with a cashier by the name of Christella. No customer service, and decided that, her talking with her coworker was more important than a customer standing right in front of her awaiting patiently. After reading user Austin’s review, I fully agree. I have always had a pretty good experience with stop and shop. I think this incident is a issue with that particular cashier, though I wouldn’t be surprised about the part where another coworker decides to step in to blindly help them. After my experience from earlier on with the cashier CHRISTELLA, I am really starting to question how they train their staff. I will be on the lookout for better stop and shops. Or maybe just not stop and shop at all. I’ve heard from friends that Bjs and Costco seem to be much better alternatives. To sum things up, I would give them a zero if I could. No, I would give a negative star rating if I could actually.

In fact I will not go to any stop n shop after many many many bad experiences at this one.I was hit by an old lady with a carrage on purpose.The lines are rediculous every time! There are not enough cashiers an they are slow as turtles.Your lady at the fish market talked to me in a rude manner. Bottle return is always packed an I feel like I have to walk through a bunch of homeless people just to get to to the front floor. Very poorly managed, Shall I go on....

I actually had a bad experience on thanksgiving week few years back where the cart boy said I hit someone and I didn’t. Then claimed I destroyed property which is why he was taking photos of me driving off. I came back and had the police called myself. The police officer let me know I didn’t hit anyone and the. It seemed like he was lying and not to worry about a thingFast forward to this year easter weekend. Nothing but praise guys. From the line workers to the cashiers I have had great experiences. Its clean its spacious a lot of produce is offered products are available for purchasing and companies of the store is on par with many other modern supermarkets.

Theyre starting to replace too many good items w store n shop brand stuff, which is cheaper, but you get what you pay for. Theyre frozen pizza and Texas toast is the nastiest fake cheese Ive ever tasted and even in the Texas toasts case smelled.

Good prices. Large and usually busy. Bring your own bag. I wish they sell more pre packaged salmon fillets, kite hill yoghurt, half loaf bread and individual sliced apple pie (instead of a half pie) like Wegmans. The house brand chicken is just ok.

I just went today (11/28) to do some grocery shopping at stop and shop. The service was atrocious. It seems they don’t bother to train their staff. Or if they do, customer satisfaction is obviously not on the list. When I went to get my items checked out, I tried to get the cashiers attention since she was too preoccupied talking with another cashier behind her, and it was obviously not anything important or store-related. The cashier, Christella, retorted angrily, telling us to “Wait! Be patient”. Then, when she started finally doing her work, the salads that we bought had a coupon on them but they had to be peeled off. She told us to peel it off(and in a very disrespectful manner too), and I asked if she could. I mean, what’s the point of hiring a cashier if she can’t even do that? She said she couldn’t and called another person over. That women that she called over peeled it, but not before rattling off about how we were making a fuss and making it seem like it was our fault. She accused us of raising our voices for no reason, even thought it was the Christella person that initiated the conflict. The women called over immediately put the blame on us without ever thinking about trying to understand the situation first. She just asked the cashier for her side of the story, and when we tried to say something she just said that we were wrong and that we should stop talking since she already “resolved it”. What happened to” the customer is always right”? Not to mention that, I don’t think it was an unreasonable request to have the cashier do her own job? Especially during COVID where we really want to avoid contact. Not only was Christella not responsible for her job and talking to others while on shift, and in the presence of customers who were patiently waiting, but she also handled the situation very poorly and disrespectfully, as if she was such a “prized” worker that nobody would ever fire her. The women that she called over(I don’t know if she was the manager or just another worker) also did n out whelp to resolve the situation and instead decided to further escalate it by blindly supporting her coworker. This has overall been a very dissatisfying experience here. It doesn’t matter how “great” the products they have at Stop and Shop. All of this sours in comparison, when you realize that they don’t even bother training their workers to have basic manners and respect. Not just cause we are customers. But because we are all humans. She treated us as if we were little kids who couldn’t decide for ourselves what was right and what was wrong for ourselves(just cause we are Asian???). This is not only just outright disrespect and refusal to acknowledge their wrongdoings. They are literally giving off the feeling that we are inferior to them and not worth listening too. I didn’t want to waste my time here typing this which I doubt the store will even take action after reading. But people need to know, not only of the attitudes of the customer service here. But also that COVID doesn’t give you an excuse to racially discriminate or belittle others. We are all equal, and at this point, I’m not even asking them to treat me like a “valuable” customer. Treat me like a HUMAN!!! For Gods sake.

Malden S & S never has enough checkouts open, except for self checkout. I wont use self checkout, unless Im getting an employee discount. Also, it would be in S & Ss best interest to train baggers. It appears they mostly are special needs, which is why I just rebag everything, but your prices are high. I shouldnt have to rebag an entire weeks groceries myself.

I recently went to Dunkin donuts and i waited to be served for about 35 seconds or so, I noticed employees breaking boxes cleaning. Then one employee notices me and takes my order as he reaches in to grab my donuts I say excuse me Are you Going to change your gloves? He pauses then nods and changes them. Improper sanitation and hygiene training? Or maybe they Dont care. Food was for my 7 year old and pregnant Wife...

Probably the nicest Stop and Shop I have been to. Well stocked, clean, and organized. I have switched to Market Basket as the S&S near my house (Suffolk Downs, Revere) is a disaster. If this spot was more convenient I would certainly shop there frequently
