Hands down the WORST eye doctor experience. I called trying to order a new box of contacts and was put on hold. No one ever took me off of hold. I called again and the same thing happened. I ended up just buying my contacts from 1-800-contacts.I have been experiencing some dryness with my contact lenses so I called asking for some helpful tips or to see if i would be able to purchase the Dailies agua with my same prescription because I figure it was the dryness that is making my contacts fall out. I was put on hold because the woman who answered the phone needed to ask her manager. She came back on the phone and said “there is nothing we can do for you since you got your prescription 8 months ago”. I said I was not looking for a new prescription or a reimbursement I just need help figuring out if I am ordering the right contacts and what other things I can get to help my contacts stay in. I was put on hold again and she came back and told me the same thing! I asked to speak to the manager because maybe we were playing telephone. I was put on hold and never got to speak to anyone. I will never go back here and I advise everyone to not go here.

I should have check the online reviews and avoid this location. It took 6 months of going back and forth to get a pair of glasses at this location. They couldnt get my glasses right, they told me I didnt know I was asking for and made me pay 2 times. Cant see properly with these glasses.Very unprofessional staffFinally decided to go to Visionworks and get the proper glassesTerrible experience. Never going back there

If I could give them 0 stars, I would do it in a heartbeat. I was a new patient there, and the experience of getting an exam there was very uncomfortable. They had me remove my contact lenses in the lobby, and then had me sit and wait blind for 15 minutes. On top of that, I called trying to get my prescription, which I have a right to, and they sent me in circles for a week basically refusing to give it to me. It wasn’t until I called another myeyedr location that I was able to receive my prescription with no problem. Don’t even bother with this location!! Find a place that cares about you and gives you wayyyyy better customer service!

There are definitely better eye dr’s out there. From over-selling to lack of customer service, this place is as mediocre as it gets. I suggest reading the previous comments and making your own decision. When the company has to constantly apologize for awful reviews that seem to all have similar themes, you start to wonder if they are actually attempting to do anything at all to improve their customer satisfaction. It doesn’t seem that way.

Recently moved to this area and this was one of the closest optometrist to me, I can honestly say I will never come here again it is now week 3 of me waiting for my glasses. Every time I call they say “oh it should be delivered tomorrow” I just got to the point where I had to buy eye glasses elsewhere. I do not recommend this place to anyone not only are they dishonest but you’re left waiting with no answers. If you can, go elsewhere!!

Initially, I had a great experience but currently I have yet to receive my prescription, an email, call back or anything in regards to my eye dosages for my glasses. I am suffer from migraines due to their disregard to over 5 messages via emails, voice mails, and a complaint to corporate. All I wanted was a piece of paper, and I keep getting told that they are cycling through offices but 4 months of no response is excuses.

I was able to find many glasses and sunglasses to choose from. Every staff member was pleasant and patient. They worked with me through the whole process from selecting to fitting to purchasing, and it was fun and easy. I strongly recommend this place.

This place is great! I bought my eye glasses here. The staff helped me find a nice pair of glasses and was patient with me while it took forever for me to decide. The glasses came within a week! No problems! The only reason I gave them 4 stars and not 5 is because I wish they had a wider selection. Other than that, they’re great!!

Very clean, good selection of glasses, and I was offered a very respectable deal on my lenses that included free anti-glare coating. The ophthalmologist was very competent and professional. I had difficulty choosing frames that suited my face and the one of the opticians who was working the Liberia location, Charlie, was exceptionally helpful, and had a keen eye for frames that looked good on me. Best experience Ive had with an optician. Ill be happy to return to this location :)

***UPDATE**** MyEyeDr Customer Service followed up with me on my review. They were very helpful and courteous. They provided a coupon to return and since they are close to my house and Ive been here before without issue I gave it a shot. TOTALLY different experience. The staff was great, the doctor was very sweet and informative, and the gentleman that helped me with my glasses was knowledgeable and funny. Made the wait time go by so much quicker. Due to my second experience Ive updated my stars. Based on other reviews Ive seen I would still recommend that they invest in some customer service training for James. The GM could take some tips from the rest of his staff.HORRIBLE customer service. Made an appointment online. Show up for the scheduled appointment and they don’t have it in their system. You’d think if you were speaking with the General Manager (James) you’d get some assistance. NOPE!! He looked me up and proceeded to tell me the date of my last appointment like I never made an appoint through THEIR system online. Don’t know about you, but I don’t generally show up for appointments that I didn’t make. Never going to this place again. If someone makes an appointment through your online system and it didn’t register you apologize and figure out how to accommodate said appointment period!

Where do I start? To keep it short and sweet, every single time I have gone in this store, my glasses are wrong. The lenses don’t fit your frame 2xs, without glasses for a month. My frame switched out without my permission and new lenses put into a frame I did not pick out. The list goes on and on. As of right now I am again waiting because the lenses did not fit the frame. A frame I was forced to have which has a file with measurements of the lenses. Lazy, lazy, lazy. This will be my last year with them I’m done.

Dr. Barklund is very informative and helpful. I am generally nervous about asking questions and speaking up about things, but he made the atmosphere very comfortable and light hearted. The staff in the office is very kind as well, Ms Joann was extremely sweet and patient with me, she even came out to the floor to help me look at frames. I am very picky and wanted something similar to my original frames, she took me through the selection and helped me find the best frames (and didn’t complain when I decided to go back and pick one of the first ones we had looked at 😂). I had a wonderful experience at this location and I’ll definitely be recommending friends and family in the future.

I went to have my eyes checked and received a prescription for eyeglasses, for reading, which I told the doctor. The doctor told me I have astigmatism, which I knew, but he also said I did not need any other correction. This surprised me because I needed further correction in the past. I then went to get the prescription filled and my eyeglasses allowed me to see distance, but not up close, for reading. They made my eyesight much worse for reading. Apparently the doctor I saw was some travelling doctor who was filling in for the regular doctor. I went back to for a re-check with the regular doctor and she it took me several questions to finally get from her that I, in fact, do need corrective prescription lenses, in addition to correction for astigmatism. What I am curious to know is: If a patient goes through the trouble of filling the wrong prescription and then has to come back to get re-checked, why would they rush them through the appointment and not allow a few short, basic questions about their script? When I asked if I needed correction lenses, she said I did need a correction because of the astigmatism. This was how the entire appointment went. Is it really too much to ask for to get a straight, honest answer? Especially after going through the trouble of getting a wrong prescription, getting that wrong prescription filled, and having to come back. I do not trust this place for a quality eye checkup.

Dr Lay is amazing I highly recommend coming to this location. They just got a new General manager, and the store was good before, but now its great. Awesome and pleasant staff. Always double check your receipt. If you use VSP insurance it may take longer than usually to receive your glasses. That deals with VSP making your glasses not the store.

HORRIBLE! The people are some what nice but what matters is that the Doctor gave me the wrong prescription so I had to go back for a recheck. Finally, it was right after the recheck by I had to convince them the other was wrong...Fast forward, I went back to get my recheck prescription written so I could get contacts and they made it impossible to get it. They made a simple request so complicated. Will never come back.

Ive always had good experiences there. The last time I went I knew I would need a new prescription but I needed new glasses. I can make a decision to save my life, but the guy helping me knew I wanted around the same style as I currently had. He went around and picked a few in my price range and had me try them on.

Horrible experience from when I came in and spoke to the manger ( he was very rude) Once I was able to to pick out frames things were great Joann was great and the gentleman Elvis I think his name was.From checking in I felt rushed as if they wanted to leave, even with the doctor. No patience, very rushed!!

Ive been going to this location for the last 2 years and ive loved it here! I usually buy my frames and have no problem getting my lenses done with them! The dr i had was amazing, sweet, and so kind. I also worked with a gentlemen named elvis who made my experience exceptional! His customer service is great and assured me that i would get notified when my glasses had arrived knowing my busy work schedule. Thank you once again to the Staff who made this experience great for me!

Great customer service. But I was charged $100+ in unnecessary fees, so I wouldnt recommend coming here for contacts or an eye exam. Couldnt believe it when I got the itemized receipt. Not a great selection of glasses either.

I order a pair of eye glasses and they were supposed to be ready by the 26 of nov, never got a call or nothing. A week after I decide to come to the office and ask for it and apparently they gave my glasses to someone else because they don’t have them, and claim that i probably lost them and want to get a different pair of it. $700 what it cost me about a mont of work. Also they say there is not cámara to check who was the person who got my glasses no good at all. Terrible service

This is my first and last time going to MyEyeDr. Apparently when insurance is involved the cost goes up automatically. Of course they tell you they participate with your insurance so you are thinking great!! Well its not so!! Its been bothering me ever since I left their office that I was taken advantage off. So I called today to find out what is the cost of Air Optix Aqua 6pk(after I already researched it with other places) The girl said it was $37.00 so I said really, so why was I charged $60.00 per box? I asked to speak to a manager and was told as long as they satisfy the insurance part they can charge what ever they want. I was basically charged $120.00 for 6 mths of contact when in fact that would have almost paid for the entire year. You guys are the cause why so many people are having trouble getting health insurance. You take advantage of the health care system and even rip off people charging way too much for your products. So people please be aware! Take your prescription elsewhere and take the time to submit for reimbursement!!!! Costco is the best!

For my Latin and Hispanic community who might be wondering how bad this place is:They dont waste their time in this place. Customer service is fatal and a headache. Your insurance? I tell you beforehand, most likely it doesnt cover the bill, maybe even half and they dont care either. Personally, we have been waiting two months for a blessed pair of glasses and each week that is called is always one more week, one more week and it is not said why.We are in difficult times but you can not even call the customer? Name. They dont waste time.

It is frustrating when a person does not find varieties of Marcos for my new lenses. For the simple reason that my insurance is Medicaid. There are better designs in the dollar store for $ 1.00
