They need a better POS system. But otherwise store was great and I found really good deals. Store is so open and nice it feels like going into a mall.

Self Checkout kiosks need to be cleaned periodically when the store is open -- especially surfaces where customers place their items. These areas are always very filthy when I shop here in the evening. I dont need beef blood on my bananas.Otherwise, solid enough store.

Our family shops here great variety and employees are helpful! My problem is and I understand it’s hard at this time to get employees but come on when we’re there at 11 am buying over 400 in groceries and they have 3 lanes open !! I’m not going to check myself out and there was at least 3 full carts of people in every lane ! Our girl was great hurrying but it’s redicilous for people to have to wait or be forced to self checkout! I watched the director and manager walk around but not open a lane that’s poor customer service! This happens often either get rid of 10 lanes and only have 3 . We are considering shopping elsewhere because it happens so often I’ve actually left my cart and went elsewhere

This is the best Harris teeter! Has so much more organic and variety of international/not big corporation options than most grocery stores. The staff are super nice and attentive ! Not afraid to talk to you like most places Ive gone to when its like talking to a wall when Im trying to be personable. Will Definitely be my main place for shopping.

For a smaller grocery store they have everything. Very clean and sweet staff. The deli is absolutely amazing. We are never disappointed in their Boars Head selection. Their bakery is a bit overpriced, but other than that, their sale prices are amazing.

This is my go to store. I get pretty lazy to cook dinner for my self so I just come here and get food. They have an excellent sub sandwich shop. Pizza always ready, Roast chicken or fried are ready. Lots of options for eating. They have a Starbucks. Very clean, line moves pretty quick on check out stations.

My favorite Harris Teeter to go to. Its conveniently located right off of Liberia and the staff there are always upbeat and happy to help. The manager Cody was very helpful and willing to go above and beyond on even the smallest thing. The store is always clean and the selection of brands is unparalleled. I literally dont shop anywhere else.

Cody is exceptional at customer service. I left my wallet and he made sure it was secure and ready for me. He also clearly let me know their policy of not being able to open them which made me feel extra secure. He also was right there to help with other customers as I left. Amazing!

Its quite possibly the best grocery store at the higher end without the pretentious atmosphere of any Wegmans. You can shop here and not feel like third class steerage 😄

The store itself is okay, but I had the worst customer service with the Sandwich bar store manager. If I could give a zero star, I would. I moved right next to this Harris Teeter location, and I was getting my lunch here. My husband and I work at home, and we were hoping to use this deli place to get our daily lunch. However, there were at least 3 people, but no one was getting my order for about 10 minutes. Then a very rude lady came over, and she goes What? What? like three times when I had told her what I wanted, Then she asked me what kind of bread, and I was answering that question and realized she just walked away. I was so irritated and left. Then I wanted to talk to the manager, and she was the manager there! She said she was getting my bread? I have not even told her what kind of bread I wanted, and you dont just walk away as the customer is trying to answer the question. She goes, Well, its a little loud here, and I was getting your bread. Maybe you just didnt hear me. How is it possible to get my bread when I didnt even answer what type I wanted? When I looked up, she was gone. She literally just walked away as she was getting the order from the customer. What kind of customer service is this? I have never seen such a thing. Our family will never go to that sandwich station because of that lady. She was such a rude employee. I wonder if she would be the same with other male customers? I also felt as if she was looking down at me. I question Harris Teeter for hiring such a manager like her. I am able to walk to this location, but I dont know if I want to stop there because of that arrogant employee. Very condescending!

I was waiting over 10 minutes to get service in the bakery section and NO ONE bothered to ask me have I been helped. I went to customer service to complain, a cashier acknowledged me but open a register and forget about me.Very poor service for overpriced goods Im beginning to question the ethics within this particular location!

Expensive store, however, they have little $5 containers of crab that are nice. The dip included is way to spicy hot. Org. Celery is 2.50, org red leaf lettuce, 2.29. not bad for organic. But 2.29 for celery thats not org. Not a big diff & proves my point on expensive. Nice house made bread selection. No crab legs in seafood section. ! Nice store, too $$$ for me.

Great location that is always stocked with both fresh and on shelf items. Great place to pick up a quick lunch while shopping and there is a Starbucks inside!

Store is kept neat and clean, helpful employees and the groceries are fresh! I got sushi here for the first time and it was delicious and definitely fresh!

Its great as long as I can use the self checkout! The criss cross lanes make zero sense to me.

Won’t be back until they drop the mask requirement. Virginia dropped the mandate, so at this point Harris Teeter is taking it upon itself to force customers to wear masks, against CDC recommendation and basic common sense. I shop here a lot, and otherwise have generally good experiences here, but let’s stop the nonsense.

Best deal in town on the 80/20 ground chuck... Always 3.99 a lb. Delicious on the grill.... and the corn is pretty good too!

All the food bars are delightful. The olive bar is heaven! If you have the stores VIC card, you can get some great deals. Otherwise, its a little pricey.

The bakery here made a fantastic birthday cake exactly how I asked. And it was delicious! Great place!

Do not bother with the Asian Food Bar. At 4:30, (it supposedly opens at 4), after waiting with my daughter for the bar to have food on it.... we settled for the stuff (4 items, minus 1... the food in that bowl was empty). I assume, this was leftover food from lunch. It was dried out, cold, and disgusting.. The egg rolls were so old they were a rock with dried up old filling. Truly a -1 all the way around. GET IT TOGETHER MARKETPLACE HT!!!! Just food for thought.... Go to the store in Bristow....its so much better in so many ways.

Very pricey compared to other grocery stores in the area but at least its clean, organized, and well stocked every time. Plus, they have Boars Head as their deli option which is expensive but some of the best deli meat and cheeses you can find! Their app is also nice to browse beforehand to see their weekly deals and VIC coupons.Ive also rented the Rug Doctor from here and it was pretty effortless and way cheaper than hiring someone else to clean carpets.

Outstanding service Pharmacy, the ladies are always in a good mood, very polite been going for over a year and always speedy service!Also good selection on IPA beer prices are good! Items on sale with VIC card are comprable if not better than competitors, but thats if and when they have what you need.

VIC prices dont even match up with the prices I get when I scan my items. I picked up some water that was advertised as 3 for $5, I got charged full price for all the bottles. I never liked shopping here, its only ever when its the only grocery store around or within walking distance but Im always dealing with their overpriced products.

Employees are not very attentive to the customers. I stood at the deli counter for almost 10 mins before being acknowledged

I LOOOOOVE this place. I consume a whole foods, plant based diet and the price for the tempeh here is the cheapest Ive seen it. So are a lot of their other produce. Clean store, quality food. The oven-ready lasagna is amazing and the Harris Teeter brand imported arrabiata sauce is AWESOME in my vegan lasagna. Its all I use. (Nice, spicy kick.) The post below is ratatouille using ingredients bought from the store. If my 3 yo and husband loved it...lol

Handy store as it is literally the closest grocery store around, at least until the Lidl under construction across the street opens in Spring ‘21. Harris Teeter prices are ridiculously high, often 50% higher than other stores within the same neighborhood. I only make emergency quick purchases there, and probably won’t once the Liberia Ave Lidl opens.

Harris teeter used to Have great company and store. Their customer service was top notch! Before Christmas I spend 2k on Visa cards which one of them has fraudulent activity on it in another harris teeter. Long story short they said they will give a refund but when I went to store to get my refund the store manager Derick was extremely rude and annoyed that I was there. He went to his room and shot the door closed. When I told him I didn’t appreciate his attitude, he gave me more attitude gave his card to me to file a complaint and claimed he had no knowledge of a refund! Stay away from this store, unexplained fraudulent activity was done on my Visa card and manager upset I was there it is shady and unprofessional.

Ordered a rib roast to be delivered to my daughter at 4pm. At 7pm, I called because it hasnt been delivered. Oh, its sitting right here. When I asked why it hadnt been delivered they said the company never picked it up. So I guess it wasnt going to be delivered if I hadnt called? They then offered to drive it over to her. Glad I called or she wouldnt have gotten it

This is not my regular Harris Teeter but I was in the neighborhood. I did give it two stars only because the store was well kept and neat. But at the checkout I hit a snag when they refused to take my competitors coupon which they usually do at the 2 other Harris Teeters that I usually frequent. But the manager was adament and even told me that it was a new policy effective Jan 1. However, after a call to corporate, it turned out that she made that all up. Why - who knows? Nice try though. In the end everything worked out. HT is still the best!

I like to buy the meat here. Good quality and great prices! You can also find fresh vegetables and cashiers are very attentive. Place is fairly organize, and clean. Prices are from affordable to high. Even though you have to look for the deals.

Customer service is excellent! They have a good selection, especially gourmet and higher end items. The Harris Teeter brand items are pretty good options and affordable. Like any grocery store, most the sales are associated with what they called their VIC card. Oddly, their frozen vegetable section is not very extensive. There is a Starbucks in this location. Make sure you pick up a cart from outside as there are not any inside.

Clean. Friendly staff. Ample parking, but spread out... dont expect to get those few close spots too often, but its quite reasonable. If you shop here often, you will certainly want to takke advantage of member specials, which is free to join.

This is my favorite location. Been going here for 3 years and the staff is super friendly and helpful.I was pregnant and the one guy in meats didnt have any thawed shrimp. He told me I could continue shopping and he would thaw it. Then he found d me at the other end of the store with my order.Another guy went out of his way to grab me fresh avocados.The last time I was there, another guy was restocking and stopped to walk me to the item I needed.Everyone helps when I have to bring my son in too.And there are quite a few cashiers who are awesome!

I want to thank all the Hoadly Road Harris Teeter staff. I went there yesterday to pick up a prescription. As I walked in, a lovely lady made sure I got a clean cart she had just wiped down. There were some empty shelves, but a lot of folks were stocking shelves. The pharmacy has a new window to protect staff. The store felt very clean and safe. Everyone was so helpful and pleasant. Thank you. You are the best

I frequent Harris Teeter has the most convenient place for me to shop. The quality of the produce is above average for this particular Market. Although price a little bit higher its a better value in terms of taste and quantity. Overall the store as well Ron although tonight the pricing was not complete for the changeover occurring tomorrow I imagine. The help is always friendly I do self checkout which is the quickest biggest complaint is about the gas rewards and how they work it seems like you accumulate points and then they disappear at a random point or they dont match what you actually get at the pump. As a whole Harris Teeter does a good job havent worked in this field for many years its probably the most reliable and terms of customer service and quality.

The store was good we shop here often. The store is a bit under stocked. But this is not the normal. All in all the employees are great. And the food quality is also great.

I love shopping here! The people are always welcoming and friendly, very helpful too. Their produce is fresh, and they carry a wide variety. They make sushi and have a hot food bar, salad bar, and a hot pizza bar. Their bakery is great too. I transferred all of my prescriptions to their pharmacy, and am so much happier with the service. They have time to take care of me, and I feel valued and welcome there.

Abysmal! No regard for customer safety. No regard for employee safety. Utter disregard for the law!Most (as in greater then 50%) of the customers who were in the store were not wearing masks, in direct violation of the Governors executive order. When I notified the manager she did a song and dance about HT offer people masks and that she didnt know of anyone in the store not wearing a mask. When I pointed out several people not wearing masks AND no one was at the door or in the store offering masks even though several employees were stocking, she refused to acknowledge them but pivioted her arguments to they cant make people wear masks. Funny because Safeway and Giant are, Costco and Target are. But Harris Teeter cant be bothered to protect their employees or their customers... SHAMEFUL!!!

I have been asked continuously when I tried to buy the salmon which is already frozen and ready to be consumed, the young guy who works in the morning time around 12pm is expected that I cannot afford or think I am poor black fellow with no money I was confused may be I looked like poor on his image He made me so much uncomfortable I told him “if I need help I will ask you “and left . I am afraid this thing will happen to other people too. Please teach your employees to respect your customers

Great store. First time I went there to use their western union office, after that I try the food and some of their bakeries. This is really a good place to get your groceries. The place is clean, the staff is nice and the food taste great. If you like wine you should come and see their wine section.

Found out after a few trips that theyre owned by Kroger. Kroger membership card is accepted here.. some Simple Truth products can also be found here. Generally clean and easy to navigate.

1st time shopping visit. Very nice grocery with so many choices compared to local stores near where I live now. Found items have not seen before!

This review is completely bias. I love Harris Teeter. I can pretty much always find what I need. The staff is very helpful. If I help at the self-checkout I never have to wait for a long time like other stores. I just wish the prices were lower. But you cant always get what you want.

The meat and produce are fresh, the store itself is clean, and the staff are helpful and friendly. Not much else one can ask for from a grocery store. The prices are a little higher than most other stores but that can be offset using the VIC card.

Subs subs subs. Probably the best place to get a sub. Get a VIC card. Very important. Theyre always running specials here and there on the subs and you get points. 15 points = free sub of your choice. Groceries are expensive. Higher than Giant/shoppers. VIC card is essential. Fruit is hit or miss. Make sure to check it. Ive had apples that have been bad. My fault for not checking but its something to be aware of. Hot bar is hit or miss. Some stores are consistent and the food is hot, other stores the food in the hot bar is barely luke warm. Not good Harris Teeter!! Biggest pet peeve, person making subs not cleaning their knife after sticking it into the sub before yours that was drenched in mayo, dressing and assorted gunk. Clean yo damn knife dammit🤨
