Honestly some of the best service weve had in a long time. Kaine was very straightforward and helpful. We came to switch from T-Mobile and he gave us great options for trade in and switch with added devices. Even when we had to come in again because of T-Mobiles fault he was willing to wait and test things out till our phone numbers fully switched. Thanks dude!

Was welcomed to the store. After 5 minutes was informed I must wear a mask or go outside. My state, county and city no longer have a mask mandate. After asking about this I was told that didnt matter, its a company policy, no mask no help. Have been a loyal customer for many years. No longer.

There are never enough workers for the amount of customers that are in the store, no matter what time of day you go into the store. I was told that there was one person ahead of me in line and they would text me when it was my turn. Thirty minutes later I still hadnt heard from them so I went back to the door and was greeted by the same woman who had taken my name and told me that there was one person ahead of me thirty minutes prior. She didnt recognize me and when I told her my name she told me that there were only three people ahead of me at this point.

My wife and I arrived two hours before closing and was told that it would take 10 min to be helped (4 employees helping customers and we were next). After 30 min we were passed in line by another customer and two employees disappeared. After waiting 1hour I used the employee restroom in the back and saw one employee checking email on a computer. WithPeople waiting I would have though it was would be a priority to be on the floor. Not impressed by the service and employees seem more interested in talking/chitchatting with customers than getting work done.

Ive been trying to resolve an issue via chat and phone for over a month. I finally went into this store, and they worked for hours to fix my issue. While the tech was working on it, the other reps checked on us. I had my four-year-old with me, and they even brought him paper so he could draw while we waited. It was a tricky situation, but they didnt stop until they found a solution and were so friendly throughout. They were my superheros today.

Late September 2020 update: a few days after I posted the 9/15 update, the regional manager called me and they did rectify much of the issue. The missing ipad, from what I can tell, has been fully removed from my account and they gave me credits on the account for the inconvenience and poor service I received. While I appreciate their responsiveness very much, I wish their team was trained better so that I wouldnt have to jump through so many hoops to get the decency and support that was needed in the first place.9/15/20 update: see the response below where it says please reach out to us at this email address we want to help!- I did that, on 9/10/20- as of today, 4 business days later (5 if you count saturdays) no response. So much for wanting to help resolve this. I had to call customer service yet again to find out what happened to the ipad that was incorrectly delivered. Dont be fooled in thinking Verizon is any better than T-Mobile, Sprint or AT&T or any other behemoth company that simply cant treat customers as people and provide excellent service because they are a machine at this size and you are just a number in that machine.I’ve been a Verizon customer one week- was helped by Kristen on Saturday 8/29- was in the store for THREE HOURS. She was great while I was in the store, upbeat, patient, friendly. But in one week’s time of being a customer, I have an unauthorized charge from Verizon of $44 on Sept 1 that shows on my bank account but doesn’t show on my Verizon account and when ordering a new iPad with Kristen in the store, she seemingly input an incorrect address into my account which resulted in the iPad being delivered to someone else. I’ve since had to call Verizon customer support twice to get help with this, spent 75 minutes in total on the phone about it, for them to say that although the issue is no fault of mine, I’m still liable for the iPad.But wait wait, there’s more!I go to the store on Thursday 9/3 because the caller ID isn’t displaying the phone number of the caller, just “WIRELESS CALLER”. In my 10 years of being an iPhone user, I’d never had a phone do this and I searched through every menu to attempt to change it. No dice. So I’m at the store, Melissa the manager comes out to help me. Except, she says because she’s not an iPhone user she doesn’t know how and if have to wait for her colleague who is an iPhone user to help me. Wait, what?!?! You aren’t fully trained or well versed in navigating and supporting customers with the products you sell? Getting help shouldn’t be dependent on personal use, it should be about your professional training.Last, just minutes ago, I went to the store in the hopes that maybe Kristen would be there and she would be as helpful as she had been last week in helping sort out the unauthorized charge and iPad issue, since she did, after all, order it. Strike 3 (actually maybe we’re on strike 4 at this point). If you can, avoid Emily. She was borderline defensive and almost abrasive about the issues, that this was a SALES location and she could give me their fraud department number, but they don’t deal with billing questions there and as for the iPad, she might as well have been rolling her eyes at me while she read off her screen that I’d clearly already been helped by customer service so coming into the store wasn’t going to result in any additional help. I told her that given I’d had a positive experience last week with Kristen, I thought maybe I could get the same. She just stared at me, again, with the energy of a very annoyed millennial who’d like to roll their eyes at this 40 year old lady. So not only have unnecessary issues resulted in 7 days of being a customer, there’s no resolution, or particular helpfulness or understanding, on the part of staff- either on the phone or in person. It’s a genuine disappointment that good customer service is so incredibly rare. Thanks Kristen for that- hence the one star. But the rest of this experience? Such a bummer for a brand new customer.

I visited the store on 12/27 at around 1415 hrs. I wish to recommend re training of the staff and management in customer service. I stood at the entrance for a significant amount of time together with 2 other customers. The staff walked by deliberately ignoring our presence and proceeding to call the next customers registered on their devices. A store manager finally approached and I decided to voice my concerns with the ignorance I had witnessed. He explained he is short staffed and stated, I cannot just stand at the door waiting for people to come in. I informed him he needed to acquire skills in store management. Following our conversation, I observed him paying closer attention to the incoming customers. This was a positive. May I propose checking out how AT&T manages their customer service traffic. Lobby management is key in customer retention. Saves time and money. Verizon should consider introducing self check in services. All advanced businesses are using this including hospitals. This will address your staffing issues. The manager needs to brush up on customer interactions and addressing concerns. He appeared to have potential but lacks presentation, interaction skills and problem resolution soft skills. You may get the business but you will loose it to a competitor who welcomes customers and respects their time. Only takes a second to acknowledge someone and state, we will be right with you. I will check out the store next to target next time and chances extremely high are I will be returning to AT&T by mid 2020. I tried Verizon as a recommendation from a customer for military discounts and since we had to sign up new service from being overseas it was a convenient time but I will return back to AT&T for the customer service.

Weve been in here a few times and every time we go in they always tell us to go online or call a specific number. With everything, except to buy a phone, which is always a struggle because theres always an attitude with the sales people. So the only point is to sell phones but after that all inquires is outsourced? I dont get it. I want to talk face to face to someone about a question not over a phone. I want someone to walk through my service plan and help me make a decision. I want someone to actually be a sales person, and not outsource things they can do in the store. If the person helping me would have looked up my account, they would have seen that I am almost ready to upgrade to a new phone, and hey lets try and sell her a new phone. But when I go in to ask a simple question, and you tell me that I need to call a number and they will deal with it, I dont need to buy from you. This is ridiculous. I am sorry for being frustrating or short with you, but I there was only 1 other customer being helped and 4-6 people in the store. You could have helped me then and there.

I went to Mobile Revive instead and they had my phone fixed in a few hours for a fraction of the cost of a new phone, and without having to reup my contract

I found their service exceptionally remarkable because until yesterday I really had a very poor perception of the customer service at Verizon. I used to get good service here but it went from customer friendly to a train wreck in short order. Pat answer to every question is you can do this or that online or call this number. I dont want anyone here to marry me I just want an explanation for how some things work or what I need to do differently with some things. They definitely care more about their bottom line than they do customers, but that is more corporates fault than theirs. Sales person kept pushing the most expensive phone and wouldnt discuss any others. Didnt want to discuss pricing plans, just automatically signed me up for unlimited. Intentionally, scrolled past monthly bill price directly to the signature line so that I wouldnt see it. Tried to push me out the door before the port from my other carrier was approved.

We had superb customer service at this Verizon location this weekend. Andre helped us yesterday and then again today and was wonderful. We had shopped a couple of other places and were met with very little interest at two other phone locations in town. Andre was funny, eager to find us a great plan, listened to our needs and met them without being pushy to buy anything else. There was even an incident with a challenging customer during the time we were there and Andre handled it with a calm, professional manner which we appreciated. And while he was looking for our phone we had great interactions with several other salespeople as we waited. We walked out so pleased we chose to shop here and we will be back. Thanks!

I decided to change carriers and ordered phones online. I was told with a corporate discount with my wife’s work it would be 25% off the bill. I signed up and went to pick up the phones the next day. Not only were they not ready but we were told there was no discount that could be applied to that plan even though I have it in writing from the representative that sold us the phone. The woman that helped us was new and very nice but when she went to get help the woman that came over was extremely rude (I believe her name was Megan but her name tag/badge was flipped arounVerizon might have the fastest network but they certainly are lacking in customer service.

This is a shout-out to Kristin in Manhattan. She spent over an hour and half helping my dad set up and get a new phone via insurance after his old flip phone was dying away because quite literally she had to hold a charger at just the right angle to get his phone to stay long enough on so that we could get a text to send and reset his pin.She also never once tried to push him to get a smartphone or upgrade his plan. She showed the options so he could understand for future reference but never made him feel like he NEEDS to get one.Never going to Topeka Verizon again. Manhattan is the place to go. It’s worth the drive.

Ive been having problems with a phone purchased through Verizon for some time now. Either the phone or the charger breaks within a year, and Im probably at the store every 3-4 months. The last time I was at the store an associate openly admitted that the model of phone was defective, but no one is willing to do anything about it. Their solution is to buy a new phone. Then my turbo charger broke within a year (charges smartphones faster) and they refused to replace it with a comparable charger because its not their chargers fault. It must be my phone. Out of the 8 times I visited the store, I think only my first was a good experience.

Very disappointed in the return policy of accessories. 3-4 days over the 14 day policy & won’t let us bring back a brand new otter box case & wireless charger still in packaging. Only offered in store credit, which we do not need. Wasn’t told about the 14 day policy until trying to return the items as we were never given a receipt when purchased. Now stuck with 2 pieces of equipment we don’t need or can’t use.

Do not come to this location. I waited for 30 minutes and when I was finally being assisted the associate didnt even activate my device in store, they didnt transfer any of my information, and were quick to send me away to activate my new device myself. I returned this phone and went to the other store on the west side, they helped me with my bill, activated my phone for me, put on all of my accessories, and transferred my information from my old device. Very friendly staff there!

Great experience. My wife and i came in on a Sunday thirty minutes before closing. We had bought our phones elsewhere and needed to start our plans, buy Sim cards, and accessories. We had a line in front of us and got started after twenty minutes. We got set up and shipped out with no issues ten minutes after closing.

I went into Verizon to upgrade my phone. I decided on which one I wanted and told the man helping me out, Glen, that I would like the phone in black. When Glen came back he brought out the box, opened it and pulled out a white phone. I politely told him that I had requested the black not the white. (From this point on the color of the phone is beside the point) Glen looked at me and told me that I would have to pay a $35 restocking fee because of the mistake that HE made. I told him I would not pay the $35 and that the white phone would be just fine despite being irked he was in the wrong. I was a little irritated but did not want to escalate the problem. When I got home I told my husband what happened and he was not happy, to say the least. He called Verizon later that afternoon and spoke to the manager. The manager apologized because they did not have any of the black phones in stock. He spoke to Glen who then lied to the manager and told him that I had changed my mind after I saw the white phone and decided I wanted the black instead. First, I do not appreciate being called a liar when I was intentionally sold something I did not ask for. Second, the fact that he sold me a certain phone because the one I wanted wasnt in stock just to get his commission is absolutely dishonest and disgusting. The manager told me there would be a phone waiting for me when they got the phone I wanted in. The manager was the only saving grace of this experience. We went in to exchange phones and were immediately deferred to Glen who then had the nerve to say to me, Was the white just showing through the phone case too much? I held my tongue, but obviously my review of the service is not as nice.

Staff was in-experienced and the manager was consistently rude until we threatened to walk out with no purchase. We ended up purchasing an iPhone 8, but returned it since they failed to honor a device trade-in credit and honor a military discount on accessories (VA card was provided and discount was already listed on the Verizon account, staff just failed to credit discount!). Staff did not know what the Apple Care program was or how to sell it from their store and they listed the purchase under the wrong person which made receiving a refund from Apple for the Apple Care purchase very difficult (i.e., Apple was under the impression that the account/device had been stolen). Verizon needs to re-evaluated their ethics and their training program.

Yesterday I walked in and stood in middle of store for 2-3 minutes before anyone even acknowledged my presence and several employees recognized I was there but never even said hello, we will be with you in a minute. This time and several times in the past when my husband or I go into this store, all they do is tell us to call technical support. Very unhelpful!

We visited this store last week and we were assisted by Emily who had worked out a plan for us. She gave us a loyalty number to call to see if a 20 year account holder could get a better deal. We did as she suggested and were able to get a deal for being a loyal customer. The loyalty contact was able to upgrade our account to unlimited and then we were going to have Emily assist us with the Bogo XR Fathers Day promo because we added a line for our mother. We made an appointment but Emily was no show and the blonde hair lady with arm tattoos (sorry didnt catch her name) would not listen to us and accused us of fraud. We were just following Emilys instructions. What we realized is since we upgraded over the phone that they lost their commission and in turn had no interest in helping us. So we left and called back the loyalty team and they were able to help us in getting the BOGO and add a new line without any hesitation. Bypass the store, go straight to Verizon.

We entered the store and waited for about 20 minutes, no one asked if we needed help. When we finally were asked if we needed help we had to wait another 20 minutes for an inattentive associate. The representative that was helping us practically laid on the counters, didnt even attempt to directly answer our questions or even take out either of her ear buds. When we did ask about changing devices and removing an old one she walked off for about 10 minutes then came back with a sticky note and left her tablet in the back. Her attitude towards us was more of annoyance and disgust than helping. She never even tried to directly or accurately answer any of our questions, instead we were met with I think and probably. Again while she had both ear buds in her ears and rarely made eye contact. When we decided to leave she just walked off and said nothing to us. Complete lack of customer care and professionalism.

I had very poor customer service at this Verizon multiple times. Most recent I went in and they were fairly busy and around 3-4 people hadnt been checked in. When a rep finally got around to it I told her about my problem, which had a very simple answer and she just said, well got you taken care of. I then waited 30 minutes for a 30 second conversation, most of which was me explaining my situation again, with a different representative only to leave with my problem unsolved. I could have saved thirty minutes of my time if the first representative would have just answered my question.

Unfortunate experience. Checked in with a representative who said there was one person in the queue ahead of me. 25 minutes later I ask how much longer Ill be waiting and they tell me Im not in the queue. I point to the employee that checked me in and they act like theyd never talked to me. So after my wait I finally get to speak to a representative who informs me that the device Im looking at is not on sale as a national Verizon email indicated it was. 25 minute wait to be told no. I walk out and call Verizon directly and they offer and honor the sale. At least this stores service wasnt rude but it certainly wasnt competent or considerate.
