Bought 4 Goodyear tires online, Maple Grove was the only Walmart to have the size i needed within 20 miles or so. I scheduled service to replace 4 tires for noon on Tuesday, . They took my car in at 1145. It was done by 1240. Good work, all tires look great and no problems or surprises as the bill was exactly as they quoted me. Id go back
Walmart is cool for buying tires and such.. i used to go to them for oil changes and tire swaps, but now im just annoyed. I made an appointment to have 2 new tires put on my VW Jetta, they knew what was going where but when i arrived they told me that they cant put the tires on because i have aftermarket rims. This is annoying because they knew all the details and still had me drive out there. I went across the street to discount tire qnd they said absolutely we can put those on. So just a heads up to people with aftermarket rims/tires... dont waste your time!
Very disappointed. I brought my vehicle in on Feb 2021 for a bad passenger tire. I had to put air in every single day and thought I should finally take it in to check out. It was suggested by the technicians that I would need two new tires and to also had them rotate to the back. Okay, sounds reasonable. I didn’t mind the 2 hours wait and the car was fine after the first visit. 2 weeks later, I’m encountering the same issue but this time with rear passenger. When I checked it out, I noticed it looks like the old front tires that I had an issue with the first time. How do I know? There are curb marks on the rim that I recognize. The front is more visible and the back is slightly visible. I knew new tires were never installed but the front was switched to the back and the bad tire was probably filled with a void to patch the air leak. Still I thought I can try them again.Went back a second time before Easter. The same technician who helped me the first time helped me again. When I told him what I noticed about the “new tires” he didn’t acknowledge my observation and said he will check it out first. This time I waited 1 hour and he said they found a huge nail pierced into the tire and that’s why I had to repumped air. Also said he could show me the tire but never did. He said he took out the tire and add a new tire. He said it was a good thing I bought the road hazard the first time so I only need to buy the road again to cover the new tire installed. Wow, cool, okay, so I bought the new road hazard for my “new tire”.When I got home I realized it’s still the same damn tire. The same tire with the same curb marks. He never put in a new tire.I tried Walmart Auto in Maplegrove twice. Not happy, very disappointed. I never got new tires. My old tires was probably patch and put back on only. Don’t go. Don’t give them chances either.
Just called the Auto Center - Maple Grove. Ron was GREAT! Its the first point of contact that gives lasting impressions. Ill go for an oil change just because he was welcoming 🥳DochonJesus Is Lord!
I bought, 4 tires total from them, within 2 weeks of each other, 2 at a time. It was an overall good experience, they were busy both times that I went and I didnt have an appointment, and they squeezed me in both times. The price was pretty good considering, it was tires, and the installation was actually free, tire removal/disposal was very inexpensive. They were super nice and very accommodating. I recommend them highly, at least at this location. They were kinda funny, they handed me a pretend key as they needed mine, with a cart, so I could shop in the store while they worked on my vehicle. Thats actually what was said too, lol, about the shopping thing. They paged me within an hr of actually arriving which I thought was great. I arrived, after 4pm, and they were finished, in an hr. at most. Super happy with my new tires!
They broke a lugnut and wouldnt fix it. Cost a $100 bucks to have fixed
I never caught the name of the gentleman who helped me but was there to pick up a tire I ordered online and he was very friendly and helpful.
They told me it would be an hour for an oil change. I waited two. When I asked how much longer they said it would be another hour before they would ve changing the oil. Worst customer service ever!
They are good. Very reasonable tire prices.
Quick easy no problems just in and out like iike.4 stars just cuz higher price than found but this was quickest and close to home
Ahmed needs to get fired. Extremely rude terrible customer service very disappointed.
I waited over 20 minutes at 10a.m. Pressed the button for help twice, and not one employee came to help me. 2 employees that were in the tire changing area did look over and see me, but were too busy chatting to assist customers. I left my cart with all my items in it and went to a competitor that would be interested in helping me. This Walmart which always has personal shoppers blocking the aisles as well as workers stocking shelves it too much BS for me handle. Ill start shopping their competitors
Very good customer service
Not recommended, you better look a professional shop.
This place is located in Walmart but feels like an old fashion auto shop. It takes a little time and patience to get the work done (its first come, first serve and no appointments) but I continue to come back because I felt respected every time I go there. I did not feel like the service people were taking advantage of my lack of car knowledge or treating me differently because I am a woman. I only wish they were a full service shop.
Service is usually slow but effective. Today we stood at the counter for 10 minutes before the guy told us the mechanics werent taking any more oil changes. It was 5:15 and the website says they close at 8:00. The sign on their wall says 7:00. Ill be going elsewhere in the future.
Waited in line for an hour with one car in front of me for somebody to finally come out to help me and inform me that it will be a few hours before I could get an oil change.
Wont ever be back again to the auto center. The rest of Walmart seems to be great. Wait times can exceed a few hours just because a couple people are replacing wiper blades. Your better off going to another auto repair center for your needs. This place is short staffed early mornings.
Longest wait ever! I only needed 2 tires mounted and balanced and after 3 hours they called to let me know my tires were ready. When I got there I could see my car (in the same spot unmoved) so I went inside to pay and get my keys. They handed me my keys and told me my tires were all done. Turns out they mounted and balanced my tires but didnt put them on my car!
Got to the store at 7, the posted opening time. Waited in line behind two other people for 10 minutes for them to actually open, not for them to set up, but for someone to show up and unlock the door. Then waited another 30 minutes for someone to actually speak to me. Mitch, the person checking people in, couldnt have moved slower or looked more miserable. He then told me that it would 2 hours for a standard oil change because there were 2 people in front of me. Keep in mind I had already been there for 40 minutes. There were 4 employees that I saw working on cars, but the two in front of me hadnt even been started yet, but they were still setting up from opening late. I asked to speak to a manager and was told that there was no manager in the store - obviously a lie, or a TERRIBLY run store. I left, went across the street and got an oil change in 15 minutes for the same price, and they were friendly and seemed to actually enjoy their jobs. There are much better options available for the same price. Just an awful experience.
Was very easy and service was fast
I came here the 1st time for my last oil change, it was close to closing time but Jim was very friendly and was able to work with us to still get us in, he was great with my 4 yr old daughter as well. The wonderful customer service is the reason I came back and will continue to come back to this specific location. It was a nice touch getting the little note from the manager printed out and set in my seat, should have left a review then but here for my 2nd oil change, different people, busier, but still exceptional service, thank you!
I have nothing but good things to say about this department. I was in need of all new tires for my truck - I took my car in at 6pm and was done 9pm complete with an oil change. I had dealt with Tony and he was more than helpful and offered great customer service. The area was super clean and organized. I would highly recommend and will continue to go there for any tire needs/oil changes!
Wow! Unbelievable experience! I got 4 brand new tires mounted, balanaced, with free balancing and rotation for life for only $280. Great friendly service too and it was done quick! Only one hour for everything and the new tires feel awesome! So happy I went to Walmart instead of my dealership
This place is a joke. We got there, there were no other customers or cars being worked on. Took them almost three hours to put two tires on.. I peeked in and they had 3 guys working on my car tire installation.. they are so slow!! Dont go here, go to a real auto shop.
Dont come here and waste your time. Sales REP sold me my 20 inch tires and told me that i should buy them online because its cheaper. Fast forward 1 week later and waited 3 hours in the store just to find out that they wont install it. I should of just went to discount tire where they know what theyre doing. Time is more valuable than saving a coupe bucks.Advise to Wal-Mart, please train your employee about your tires and using your electronic equipment. You may also want to check there security camera to ensure that they dont take your car for a joy ride.
Carry in tire mount and balance. They broke one of the TPMS sensors while changing the tires and still charge me $22 for their mistake! Not only that they overfilled my tires to 45 PSI! UNSKILLED and UNPROFESSIONAL! Still ended costing me $124 to mount and balance 4 carry in tires! I dont recommend this this auto center ! AVOID, AVOID, AVOID, go to discount tires, tires plus, or even pep boys! Theyll at least do a better job and not hire your average joe with no education!.
The worst auto care center I ever been to. They work until 8pm, I stopped by at 5:30pm on Tuesday, March 26 and guy told me right away they not gonna take me in because they are busy and they close soon (I mean you still have 2,5 hours) and I checked there was only one car inside the auto center. All I wanted to do is balance and rotation and check one tire for the leakage. So I went home and decided to come back next day. Today Wednesday, March 26 I stopped by at 3pm, they took my car but again told that they are super busy and car will be ready only in 3-4 hours (balance and rotation usually takes max 30 minutes to do in normal services) so I had to call my father to come and pick me up. After 3,5 hours I got a call that my car is ready, we came back with my dad and the guy with a poker face told me “we were unable to do anything because your tires are too old” he showed me on a thread depth tire gauge that my tires are not on a green scale but on yellow, but honestly it was almost green just 1mm down to yellow, not even red, which means my tires are totally fine. I felt like they just didn’t want to work so they decided that they will find the reason, but the most annoying thing WHY IT TOOK 3,5 HOURS to do nothing????? I had to arrange my pick up and my drop off with my dad, so he missed few hours of his work just for that guy to do nothing with my car during 3,5 hours?????? I mean if you are not dealing with the tires that are not brand new then you should check the depth of tires right away when customer comes to your service. So so disappointed and angry! Worst customer service ever. Two days in a row I felt that those guys getting their hourly pay and they don’t want to do anything else. Never ever coming back again. More than that he didn’t even apologized for this inconvenience. Unfortunately I didn’t take his name because I was so angry and just wanted to leave that place ASAP
My husband called ahead of time to ask about an oil change. They told us to just come anytime, they are open until 8pm. He went after work at 5pm and they said they cant take any more cars. Wouldve been nice if they told him that this was a possibility over the phone, but ok.So I tried a different day around noon. Waited in line at the desk forever while they talked with two other people. It was finally my turn and I asked about an oil change. He said, Sure, it will be at least three hours.I gave up and went to Valvoline, where I was in and out in literally ten minutes. Paid 19.99 with a coupon. I dont expect WalMart to be like Valvoline but the difference is so drastic that Ill start with Valvoline next time.
Super friendly staff! And they do their best to get you in and out
What good is an auto center with a three hour wait for a battery install? They should have a quick lane for such short jobs.
Waited for over 3 hours on a simple tire patch repair, I had come in before hand to get my tires changed and waited for almost 4 hours. Extremely rude customer service if I could give a 0 I would.
I am completely astonished and infuriated by how this customer service center treats its customers, especially because its part of the Walmart chain. My father, who is a physically impaired 60 year old pastor, drove on a half flat tire to this place and asked them to find the source of the leak and, if possible, fix it. After four hours of waiting, one of the mechanics comes out and says that they couldnt find the source; then they drove the car out of the shop. The tire, at that point, is completely flat. No one asked my father if he wanted to get a new tire; no one asked if wanted them to put on the spare tire. Coincidentally, they close dont for the night. Its below freezing. Its snowing heavily. My dad is physically impaired and cannot put on the spare tire.Luckily, I was in the area and was able to drive over and help him out. As soon as I came over, I checked the flat tire and, I am not exaggerating at all, within one minute (1 minute) I found the source of the leak, in the dark. How absurd and stupid.Im sorry, Im not sorry; please, if you decide you need auto care, head to discount tire across the street or to youngstedts just across the highway. They seem better at being reasonable.
3 hours to do an oil change and balance 2 tires.....thanks guys.
Took my 2013 Cadillac CTS to Walmart Auto Center Maple Grove today for a battery check and new battery if necessary. Mitch at service center waited on me and had the vehicle looked at by someone in the service area and himself. Told me they could not find the battery and it would require removing engine parts etc. Told me to take the car to full service garage. I looked in the owners manual while still at the store. Battery is in the trunk, behind the trim panel on passenger side. Very accessible. I went back inside, told Mitch this and he just walked away. NOT VERY HAPPY WITH THIS EXPERIENCE.
They do not take appointments, and are always a zoo. It took 3 tries on different days to just get tires I PURCHASED FROM HERE mounted on my car. I even got here right when they opened and I stood in line for over an hour be for they even took my keys. It took 3 more hours until they actually got to my car. They tried to upsell me, but instead of suggesting services and asking me, they put them on the bill saying nothing. Before signing to give permission, I had to specifically ask that they take 3 extra services off the bill.Be sure to review your service request carefully before you give them your keys.I dont recommend this place.
I hesitantly went there on a Sunday to fix a tire since it was one of the only places open on a Sunday that could fix a nail in the tire. After waiting around for 45 minutes, I was told they could not fix it because because the tire was weathered. The next day I brought my car to Youngstedts in Minnetonka and they were able to patch it for $27. They laughed when I told them that this store said the tire is weathered. My advise is get your tires / tire repairs somewhere else.
Great service by efficient & pleasant staff, best (Black Friday) tire prices in town.
Only went here because its the cheapest around for tires. Got there at 1:30 and was told about 3 hours, fine. Went back at 4:30, waited in line forever since they are seriously understaffed, the man joked with me saying he was just about to call me and was rung up and given my keys. I look at the sheet and it said the service was completed at 2:37. I waited around for almost a two extra hours, and they were just about to call me? An absolute joke.
130 PM and they close at 7 and will not do a oil change so went to valvoline they were awsome and fast and nice
The management and general staff aim not to meet a customers needs and wants; rather they expect guests to fend for themselves throughout the entire purchasing process. Additionally, the lack of communication among-st the staff makes for a confusing and ambiguous customer experience. Whether you are considering a tire rotation/installation, oil change, balance, patching, etc. DO NOT wager on having a satisfactory experience. Personally, I was told non-factual information and was spoken to by one of the shop-managers in an incredibly rude tone. If these customer service qualities matter to you do yourself a favor and go to a Certified U.S. technician shop/dealer and not rely on the atrocious service provided by Walmarts Auto Care Center.
The man who helped me was very nice and accommodating. The services was timely.
I went into get an oil change like I have the last few time I went to get one done. This time though they told me that what ever book they were talking about said I needed to have synthetic oil. I have not once put synthetics oil in my car nor did they the last couple times I went in there. They are just trying to rip me off to get more money. They refused to change my oil so it was a ridiculous waste of time. Oh and I have the results from the last couple of times to show hey didn’t use synthetic oil.
Customer service was scarce and there is only one place to sit, so if youre planning to wait for your car you can expect to be standing. Please put in more seating. Other than that it was an overall good experience. 👍 I usually shop while I wait. 😁
They have taken care of my car since 2014 .. nice guys. Fair price.. customer friendly.
I had my kia in for tires to be put on i brought my own that i bought and to add to that they werent the same tires as on the sticker of the car..they put them on no problem.. then i needed tires put on for my Chrysler which i bought from a tire guy and again they werent the same tires on the sticker of the car and they refused to put them on. the tires i have on them now were extremely worn out no thread left of them and unsafe to drive, but they didnt care they were extremely rude and disrespectful. I was also told where ever i bought the tires that i should just have him put them on like excuse me..
The staff is very helpful. Bob has helped me a few times now and he clearly cares about customers. Great experience again.
Best deal in town for tires and I checked all around and no one could beat them on price.
Maria and her friend can’t help me on phone
The last time I had my oil changed they did not fasten the plug tight enough and the oil leaked out.
Nice friendly staff and full synthetic oil change always under 60.00 without a coupon. You cannot beat that.
No one was able to answer any questions, employees not familiar with their own product. Sold me a 14 year old motorcycle battery (overpriced) which died trying to start the bike.
I get my oil changed there all the time. The staff is great. They are friendly and efficient.
Even though it’s first come first serve. They still got the best prices for their services.
The name of the game is slow service and shady upcharging. Brought vehicle in for a $10 tire patch i was told it would be a 3hr wait. The rep looked over the vehicle and took my car in. After waiting the 3hrs they called me and said they actually couldnt fix my tire because it had no tube but could offer me a tire for $159. 2 words Absolute absurdity. If they couldnt patch the tire that should have been communicated initially. Worse still i went somewhere else and tgey patched the tire in 20 mins no problem. Id avoid this place if I were you, not worth the waste of time.
Great service with good quality. Thank you.
Good service, I went for a oil change and its was done perfectly same for my tires, good timing performing all services. I will definitely recommend anyone to stop by. And also that the only place open on Sunday for service.
I went to here to have new tires & TPMS sensors installed but was extremely disappointed in the service. If you do decide to go here for service, check your lug nuts before you leave - none of the lug nuts were adequately torqued and several could be removed by hand (without tools). To make matters worse, none of the (new) TPMS sensors had been paired and there were several oil stains on the car interior. Needless to say, I do not recommend having any service performed here.
It was 7:46 pm n there was 4 guys sitting in the shop n 3 in the office doing nothing but picking there and right outside the door I could smell pot n the one guy said it’s a new cigar n I ask to have my tire plugged n they were to stoned to plug tire n I ask why n if I could talk to manger they said they close at 8 n that’s not enough time to plug a tire I ask to talk to manger again n the tall guy with glasses said he was a manger but would go find one n it took him 5 mins to walk 5 feet I have never in my life seen something like this and this is tire shop n oil change if I was u I would not bring any cars Ect to this place cause they a lazy n under the influence n they have no people skills n what shop can’t put a plug in tire in 15 min mostly when u have 7 guys there n no other cars in there Walmart u are not a family super store know I’m stuck on the side of the road n my son is stuck at the movies waiting for a ride thanks Walmart if these 7 guys keep there. Job I want to come work there to hang out smoke weed n tell customers nope can’t help u we close at 8 n yes I know it’s only 4 pm but we can’t change oil in 4 hours but we would love to dig through ur car n find some change for the munchies 🖕🖕🖕🙄🙄
These people don’t care. Called as soon as they opened to make sure they could install my battery, and when I got here they still didn’t even have an operating cash register. Couldn’t find an associate for over 15 minutes. Don’t waste your time, go elsewhere. These people are extremely unprofessional and incompetent.
Had to wait 2 hours once... the next time I went there was only one employee there so he couldn’t do the work. The third time I called ahead. I was told there was 7 cars waiting so it would be a 2.5 hour wait so they were not able to do it. I think it’s time to hire new/more employees
Got a screw threw my tire it was 7pm and I was no where close to my house. I thought of the usual tire places discount tire, tires plus, ntb all closed at 6pm. Walmart is open till 8pm. I thought they would say no we cant help you due to it being so close to closing time but nope. They assessed the situation and put on a new tire within 30 mins. Price was great too. Your a life saver Walmart. Thank you!!!!
This walmart is nicwr then most that ive been to. Its clean and well stock the cashier at self check out was extremely helpful which was a nice change to what Im use to at Wal-Mart.
First time ever getting an oil change at a Walmart, but to my suprise the service and timing was satisfying. I will return in 3000 miles
I spent 2 hours waiting for my tire to get patched. I told them the tires in the trunk, it has a nail in it. They either decided not to call me or really did spend 2 hours on a Thursday at 3pm with half the shop empty trying to fix my spare tire. Crackerjack job.
2 terrible experiences in a week. Sat on hold on a Tuesday at 10:00 am for 20 mins. Also when I went in they wouldn’t help us because my husbands car is from the 90s . I would rather drive 30 mins extra than deal with these guys!
Dont never waste your time to come fix your tyre at this Walmart. They have a terrible, horrible customer service there. I wish I can give zero star.
Very good
Just wish I could have used there service but was a 3 hour wait.
If you decide to change your tires here, check your lung nuts before you leave. My front driver side wheel was completely loose, and I was almost into an accident because of that. Also they didn’t put the spare tire back as it should be.
I went to the shop with a flat tire. They basically put the same time on after removing a screw that was in the tire, without doing anything to fix it. The tire was flat again after a day and I went back. I was told that the tire was unfixable (why did they put it back on?) and that I needed new tires. Now, my tires are fixed by costco and they tell me that there is nothing wrong with it. wonder if the mechanics make commission for selling tires?
Went on Sunday right before 5pm and it was closed. Website and signs outside say it closes at 6pm. If your hours changed the times need to be updated.
Had a flat tire took in to be fixed. The attendant told me that they couldnt fix it and needed to spend over 500 dollars for four new tires. When I told them I didnt live in MN and needed to get home they started back tracking and changing the story. I said no and took it over to firestone and they said it was a nail and fixed it right away. Felt like a swindle didnt appreciate it at all!!!
Good information. Helpful.
They can be busy but always helpful.
Walmart supercenter with Auto Service center
Walmart Auto has batteries in stock. It’s similar to o’reilly auto parts in Hopkins or NAPA auto in Plymouth. Go there for the lowest price stuff
RUDE. SO VERY RUDE. IF YOU HATE YOUR JOB THEN QUIT AND FIND SOMETHING ELSE TO DO.
Another terrible experience at a Wal-Mart auto center!! Waited 4 hours to pick up 2 tires. Not get them installed, just pick them up!
Absolute ONLY place I go for oil change! The staff is sort of stiff neck hicks, but usually prompt!!! And ARGH! ANSWER YOUR D@!# PHONE!!!!!!!! Other than that lol...
They may mean well, but they are very unorganized. I wont tell you where you should go to get your vehicle serviced, but it may be a wise choice to steer clear of this place.
They advertise their Auto center is open till 8 pm but I arrived at 7:30. They refused to provide their service. It was oil change.
Busy not enough people working cant make time for just a replacement tire on rim so now Im stuck down here unable to get home to Duluth
Very long wait times. Pack a lunch.
I used to get oil changes here and didnt mind the wait. But i havent been in a while and Im just not crazy about the recent customer service experience.
I was told they closed at 8pm. I got there at 6:55 for a standard oil change and they said it was too late and not taking anymore since they close at 8p. It doesnt take an hour to do an oil change and they should advertise when they stop doing them
Every SINGLE Walmart is understaffed... No one shouldnt have to wait 20+ minutes just to be spoken to... Which in turn leads to Slowwwwwww service. And the fact that theyll charge you for Warranty and then not honor it ...
They give good service
Closed he said even though a half hour til posted time!
Inept workers and super slow service. I will never go here again.
Low quality oil changes. You get what you pay for.
Fast and efficient oil change
Auto shop was extremely rude and sat on hold for 30 minutes.
Not bad
Great prices.
Poor customer service.
Good solid service
You get what you pay for and experience
They ruined my car
