I am somewhat torn as to giving them a 3 as they would be a 5 if communication was just par. Unfortunately communication before, during after sale has been poor. I had went by their office and set up a time for Bob(owner) to come look at our situation and asked that I get a call to confirm. No call so I call and talked to Lynn. They had nothing on the schedule even though I had filled out contact paperwork. This was resolved and Bob made it out and was very friendly and took the time to answer my questions, estimate back the same day. Scheduled installation after paying for parts, had to reschedule due to controller not coming in. Day of I waited but nothing, so I had to call again, they are working on panels to make install smoother. (why the day of). Install went pretty smooth but being overcast for a few days I couldnt get a feel for how it should be operating. After Christmas we were on the hook so I was able to get some good data over 3 days that I sent to Bob by email. No answer after a week so I sent a follow up, he answered. I sent a follow up as we are leaving for Bahamas and want to make sure it is working properly and set up correctly. Still no answer, so I guess I am on my own. Also they sold me a monitor(shown in pic on controller) that I wouldnt have purchased if I had been told about connecting by Bluetooth(I found it on my own) which I use all the time. Pic also attached. I wish the communication was better as they all are very friendly and work is good.

Salt Service & the owner Chuck (as well as his staff) went above & beyond to design & install my 7.1kw solar power system with 24 LG solar panels, an Outback Radian Inverter, 2 Outback Charge Controllers & a bank of 12 large, Outback rechargable AGM batteries. The install was made even more difficult as my house in Homestead, FL was the 1st residential, grid-tied, solar power system in the entire city so they had to educate while they designed & installed. Salt Service are VERY responsive to post installation maintenance issues & maintaining a customer contact for upgrading and/or improving the systems theyve installed.

I recently purchased an Island Packet 350. I needed to add Air Conditioning to the boat. I contacted numerous AC companies but some prices were very high and the low price companies had terrible service complaints.When SALT came out to give an estimate they were very professional and gave me a good estimate using a Dometic 16000 BTU system.They did an awesome job and the install was perfect.It did take longer than they estimated because it was a brand new install and not a replacement. What was amazing is they did adhere to the original estimate and no additional charges.I was so impressed with their work that I had them install all new batteries, solar charger and a new Legend wind generator.The owner was on the job every step of the way and all turned out great.Many thanks to the team at SALT!

I visited the store when boating through the Keys in May, 2013. 4 months later I needed a part shipped to Maryland and I decided to order it from them over other vendors. The part arrived quickly (2-days) for a very fair shipping rate. Staff is friendly and very knowledgeable. I hope to do business with them for years to come.

I had all kinds of issues trying to get various contractors in Ft. Lauderdale to attend and serine my refrigeratoon. Air conditioning and install solar panels. The guts at Salt were outstanding! The fell over backwards. Not only to service and install the systems, but also to teach me how to use, adjust and maintain them. The work was professional, and try understood exactly what I needed.
