We had a small group diving and we were able to go to two amazing reefs. We dove Marilyn reef and Delta Shoal (parked car section). They were beautiful reefs with a lot of fish, some nurse sharks, a couple of eels, some groupers, and plenty more! Everyone was super nice and made the trip a blast! I will definitely come back!

The crew was both professional and friendly. They are also a lot of fun. They made our family snorkel experience amazing. They know all the best places.

Our group of 4 went snorkeling with Better Than Most. Schwenky and Captain Allie were great. They were great at explaining and preparing us and kept watch and pointed out a turtle and other things to be sure we did not miss out. Went to 2 great locations and saw a tremendous amount and variety of fish.

Outstanding company! Would suggest them to anyone who is looking for a shop to go Scuba Diving with. I have been planning a trip to Marathon for over two years and Jeanie has worked along side me planning the trip, and answering questions so that I could get dive certified in my home state. She knew of my love for octopus, and while she couldn’t guarantee that we’d see one, she did take me to a place she had recently seen an octo den. WHICH GREATLY INCREASED MY CHANCES. No other company that we booked through even made a slight attempt. THANKS TO HER I GOT MY OCTOPUS EXPERIENCE.The captain was great and lots of fun. Best customer service of any dive company’s yet! This company is very small, and very knowledgeable about all of the different dive sites. They even have a few dive spots that other companies don’t visit which makes your interaction there even more fascinating because you’re not one of 100 visitors to that reef each day. The places that we went were some of the best dives I’ve had yet.Amazing company, and definitely 5 star.

The weather for a couple days prior to our visit was not great so they did not have the chance to get out. The sun came out and we went on an amazing adventure to the reef! The crew was friendly well informed and very accommodating. We had a great day and saw an abundance of sea life. It was the highlight of our trip and it was definitely better than most!!

We were so lucky to find this team to go out on the water with. Theyre funny and extremely personable. I was taking a chance going on the water and I knew I may get sick, but HAD to try snorkeling anyways. I got sick, but they were incredible about it. No judgment, no attitude, no annoyance felt from them. I spent my time with Genie (Jeanie?) and Captain Dan and very much enjoyed the company, even for being sick!!

Wonderful dive shop with the friendliest people. My daughter and I elected to book our advanced open water certification with them. Mostly going off their wonderful reviews. They couldn’t have been more spot on. Any small snags with scheduling and weather, Jeanne and Schwenke bent over backwards to accommodate. My daughter and I will definitely dive with them in the future. Will do our rescue diver certification with them when the time comes.

These guys are great! Booked a dive trip while visiting Marathon for vacation and they did not disappoint! The crew was friendly, very helpful and accommodating for a new diver getting back into the water again.I booked a guide and was very happy I did. It made getting back into the water and diving a new site completely stress free and enjoyable. Jeannie was a great guide and pointed out a lot of wildlife and local features that I probably would have missed on my own.I would highly recommend checking them out when diving/snorkeling the Marathon area. We will be back and look forward to diving with them again!

We dove twice this week with Better Than Most and had a great time both days. Very fun and helpful crew, and Captain Dan is funny (make sure to laugh at all jokes 😜). I would highly recommend these guys for your dives in Marathon…they will take great care of you.

We had an absolutely outstanding time with this crew all week. We went diving with them multiple times throughout the week. Each time was better than the rest. Everyone was very nice and great to dive with. If you are interested, I would HIGHLY recommend asking to go on a spear fishing dive. VERY COOL. They are very accommodating and great to work around a vacation schedule. Absolutely no complaints and no bad experiences, great diving and great people, just what you want on a vacation in the keys. I WILL be using them to dive next time we are in the area, no doubt.

I had the best snorkeling experience with this friendly professional crew today. The conditions were exceptional and so was the trip, especially out at the Sombrero Lighthouse. Can’t wait to do it again! 😎

If you are a family looking for some middle Key snorkeling, dont hesitate. Our family of five (including three kids from teen to elementary with no snorkeling experience) had a fantastic time with Better Than Most. The boat is not jam-packed with people like some other places, which allows a more comfortable experience for novices; there were only 12 guests (mix of scuba and snorkel) and 2 crew on our trip. No complaints at all.

Great dive operation that provides access to reefs and wrecks off of Marathon. Jason is awesome and provides plenty of entertainment along the ride. Dive trips with these guys are as the name suggests, better than most! The view from their shop is also great and theres plenty of shade to park in.

We did a family snorkeling trip last week with Better Than Most Watersports, and it was a fabulous experience. From Jeanie at the dock to Schwenke and Captain Dan on the water, the trip was fun from start to finish. Great stories, great reefs, and even a trip to a secret spot made sure that all nine kids, ranging in age from 14-50, had the best time possible. It was our first experience with them, but it wont be our last.

Schwenke, Jeanie and Captain Dan were a wonderful crew to take us out diving and snorkeling! They were easygoing and helpful from start to finish, including helping us get our dive gear on board to helping us fix any issues we might have had (such as checking an O-ring on our tank). My husband and I dove on Saturday with them at Sombrero West and Delta Parked Cars (both beautiful spots), and on Sunday my family and I dove with them at Sombrero East and Fish Bowl (also great spots). The crew also communicated with us about weather and suggested we move our afternoon dive to morning to help avoid rough weather which worked out well. They had a water jug on board and handed out oranges and jolly ranchers which was a nice treat after being in the salt water. Highly recommend!

This place is awesome! All the staff go out of their way to make sure you are comfortable and enjoying your time in the ocean. We went paddling boarding ($30 for an hour) and snorkeling ($50 for 4 hour trip). The snorkeling trip took us to 2 reefs and provided all gear! Plus a fun snack on the way home. I couldn’t recommend this place more and I can’t stop talking about all the fun times we had with the staff. Think no further and come here for a fun time if you’re stopping in marathon!!

This wonder watersport activity business is located in the Banana Bay Resort on Marathon in the Florida Keys. We were lucky enough to be able to do their Sunset Cruise. Captain Dan took us out on a lazy ride in the pristine Gulf of Mexico. The views were amazing! The owner Jason (a.k.a. Swanky) & his staff are wonderful people. The trip was amazing. The boat was clean and well organized. The crew was really invested in us having a great time.We had our three year old and nine year old with us and the crew was AWSOME in instructing them and getting them snorkeling.The underwater scenery was amazing.Capt Dan and the crew put us right on top of all the fun.Honestly the best time we have had in the keys.

My wife and I rented kayaks for an hour and had a great time! Wish we had stayed out longer. Owners were friendly and helpful. Let me borrow a waterproof phone case when we left ours back at the hotel. Water is clear and beautiful! Well do it again next time were in the area for sure!

Swanky and Jeannie are great instructors. They are very experienced, knowledgeable and safety conscious. Also, they are very knowledgeable of the local reefs and conditions. They are friendly and laid back. Equipment is sanitized and in very good condition. I highly recommend.

We had the best time with Captain Dan & Jeanie. They are such really & true souls, they love what they do. They took such good care of my grandson, Kannan (6 yrs old). He loved snorkeling with Jeanie & Captain Dan answered all his questions. Loved that the boat was not cramed with people. There was another boat out there that had about 45 people on it, I bet that they did not get the personal care that we did. They also certified in suba diving. We will be back in 4 years when Kannan can get certified. Thanks for a great day!

Had a great time paddle boarding here. The location is great with clear water. The boards were high quality with adjustable paddles. Schwenke gave me some pointers on technique and some ideas on where to go before heading out. Better than most and highly recommended!I also went out on a snorkeling trip with these guys. Schwenke and Captain Dan are very knowledgeable and friendly. They took us to two sites and we saw so many fish! The watermelon on the way back was a nice treat. It’s a newer business, but a great operation. Ill be back!

Jeanie was great. We did a refresher course in the morning and two dives at Looe Key in the afternoon. Tons of fish, eels, lobster, crab and shark.

We spent the morning aboard the Diana Marie on one of the best snorkeling excursions we have been on. This was our first trip to the Keys and we were a little leary with going on adventures due to trying to stay socially distant for health reasons.They were able to book our party alone for the 4 hour snorkel. The equipment was well sanitized and the dive sites we beautiful!We were one of the first boats out to Sombrero lighthouse and then on to the next site. We saw a beautiful variety of fish, including a large nurse shark.We have gone snorkeling across the Caribbean, and this trip was definitely in our top 3. Cant wait to come back down and go again!

We had an excellent time with Better than Most. They were very patient and helped us feel safe as inexperienced snorkelers. One crew member, I think his name was Gabe, even jumped in and helped our youngest daughter get to a safer location when the waves were strong. Thank you for going above and beyond!

Friendly staff and attention to the little things make this a worthwhile choice for scuba trips. Prices are in line with other scuba dive shops. Dive gear is mostly new and while they do not have all the extras that some other larger shops have they more thank make up by concentrating on the overall experience. Visibility was poor on my dive but that is just the luck of the draw. Jeannie, Dan and Swanky took good care of the group. Whether you are a new diver or experienced you will be in good hands.

My daughter and I did a reef dive with them yesterday. All went well, and we had a great dive. I plan on coming back for lobsters and maybe some spear fishing. They also have a very convenient bath house so you can rinse off before leaving. Thanks guys for the great day on the water, and we will see yall again.

Great time! Highly recommend! We endured the 2 locations of reefs by snorkeling. Next time we will be certified to make the experience much more breathtaking through diving. The staff is incredibly laid back and easygoing. Very educated and experienced. If you have the opportunity to take on this experience then this is your place!

Went stand up paddle boarding twice this week with Better Than Most. The weather did not really cooperate either time. But, our experience with the company was great. Schwenke was great at orienting us on the boards (my first time with SUP) and giving us pointers on where to head to. Equipment was great and they were super easy to work with. Would use them again for SUP or any if the other trips they offer.

Better than most was a fantastic experience! I came to the keys for the day with my boyfriend and rented kayaks for a few hours. The owner Schwazy was extremely knowledgeable on the area and provided us with great tips on where to kayak and what to expect. The equipment we used was very high quality. The price was excellent for the customer service and experience we received. I would recommend this place to anyone looking to enjoy watersports in the keys!

When they say better than most they werent kidding! We were staying at Hawks Cay and looking for a private charter to take our huge group of 13ppl out snorkeling. These guys were amazing from start to finish. Captain Dan, Shwinkie, and Genie were accommodating, friendly, and super fun to spend a 4 hour trip with. We reccomend for anyone looking for a great watersports place in Marathon. They were friendlier than most of the other businesses we spoke with and did everything they could to make it a great excursion. Well definitely be back!
