Got a 2010 Dodge Journey a couple weeks ago. Have had many issues. Although they are paying for repairs it is still ridiculous to sell cars with a lot of issues after saying they do 8 point inspections. Today my radiator busted and my car started smoking. They do not do loaner cars so there for I am out of a car. Bad place to get a car and they are over priced by a couple grand. Kelly blue book gives accurate prices and I’ll be paying a few grand more than it’s worth even with all of these issues it has. 0/10 do not recommend getting a car from here.

Predatory loans to faulty cars that takes advantage of people in need. Sold vehicle that lost rear axle 3 times putting life in danger but requires buyers to sign that they will not take legal action. They use less than ethical practices to hide the damages and certifying vehicle as safe.

I can literally say that Auto Credit of Southern IL is one of the most helpful and convenient places to purchase a vehicle. They personally helped me when no other dealer would. However, honesty is the best policy, and if you are honest with your circumstances; theyre willing to work with you. My approval specialist went to bat for me and I was able to get into vehicle.

Don’t do it! I give them -5 stars! I was with auto credit for five years only because they make it impossible for you to get out of their contract. They make you pay more then what the car is worth. They make it so easy for you to get the car because taking it back will not be an option, Other dealerships won’t even trade it in. Of course they can shut your car off and track it. God forbids if something happens to the car and you can’t drive your car or the repair is expensive you still have to pay them and no they won’t pay for it. Once you’re with auto credit (MidAmerica Lending) there’s no turning back. Their payments are not monthly you’ll pay them by your pay frequency. There’s no way out once you get a car with them you’re tied up with them for at least 5 years or more. I tried to trade my car in to multiple other dealerships just so I can get out of the contract and the dealers said their selves that auto credit makes it unreasonable for you leave them. Say you wanna just give them their car back or your car got wrecked or not drivable from an accident, you will still be stuck with the payments because they will garnish your wages until it is paid off. They simply take advantage of people in situations that have no other option or that are desperate but there are other options just don’t make this one. I have reported them to the better business bureau and land of Lincoln.

Unless you wanna pay 2-3 times the value of the vehicle shop some place else. The GPS systems they put in the vehicles are prone to fry the vehicles onboard computer which makes it junk. All the vehicles they offer are ones that come from surplus auctions that not even a Kia dealer would want. Its like Rent One for vehicles just with worse quality and even more terrible service after the fact.I mistakenly got a minivan from them years ago.Even got the extended warranty within the first3 days it broke down. Needed over $1600 in repairs which Auto Credit tried to say was on me until I told them No it wasnt and I was filing a complaint with the BBB. Well they quickly changed their tune and fixed the van but I still filed the complaint and was told by the BBB that they had many complaints on file against them.Avoid at all cost

Buying the car was pretty quick and simple. No one was rude or anything. Seemed a bit on the sketch side. But my first car, not too worried. I need one. Well, not a month in, engine light came on. I have a 18mo, 18k, warranty. I called, they said take it to a service center of my choice. Have them find whats wrong, fax them the information, and theyll see if my warranty covers it. Went to the Ford dealership to have a diag done. Cost $65. Needed a new purge valve. Simple. Call them to say hey Im at the place of my choice and Ive already paid for this. They then say no, they dont deal with dealerships, and that I need to call their service center, have that guy tell me to get to his place of choice basically, then do the looking, fax, and warranty part AGAIN. So I start to see about that, and figured screw it, I am not going through this long process just for the warranty not to cover it or it cover it and me still pay a deductible. So I just had the dealership fix it for $104. Now, a week later, the inside of the car reeks of gas. So, my guess is, the reviews that state these vehicles are sold with issues, is true. Mine is a 12 fusion, and has been great other than that valve and this gas issue. So hopefully all goes well when I call them in a bit to see about getting this fixed.

(Mid America Lending) a predatory company in my currents situation with this pandemic they have been calling me every day to make a payment and to charge me for a car that I currently can’t pay bcs i have been laid off from worrk!!! I told them to extend my loan science im still wanting fo unemployment i still want to keep my car and pay for it once im back on my feet but they will not understand they just want me to give them all that I don’t have I haven’t even been able to receive my unemployment yet. Someone has to do something with this company im under a lot of stress just bcs of them calling me everyday. I told the that i will call them as soon as i get my unemployment money but they still calling me and that’s making me want to stop paying this loan not the fact that I can’t pay it is just they are so rude and hostile that I feel like im going to need to see a therapist once I finish with this bcs they are driving me crazy don’t trust them they are rats. 💔

I paid off my vehicle in 3 years and still fighting with them for 3 months now to get my title back from them since it has been sent back and forth between them and the post office. Auto Credit does not seem to care or want to help figure things out. So done with this place once I get my title back. They do somewhat try to help when you are behind or struggling for a payment but still would not recommend

3x times the payment amount compared to a regular dealer. 2 stars for fixing the car during allotted time. I would not recommend buying a car from this place. Payments are from every check. They turn your car off for $1 being late, accompanied by the loudest most annoying beeper when the car is switched on or off. Customer service is wish washy. They smile but are so smug.

Why anyone would buy a car here is beyond me. I worked with a guy who bought a pick-up truck here a couple years ago. He was ONE day late with his payment one time. ONE DAY, and they literally came looking for him. Some guy came to where we worked and lectured my co-worker about being late in front of everyone. My co-worker calmly explained to the guy that he had simply forgot and that he would get the payment to them as soon as he got off work. When his shift ended, he walked out to his truck and the guy was standing there waiting on him. He literally rode up to the bank with my co-worker to make sure he got the money. It was kind of creepy. Also, its important to know that they charge ungodly interest rates and fees. I understand that some people are desperate for a vehicle, but you should avoid this place at all costs. Its just not worth it.

I am giving Auto Credit 2 stars ONLY because I had a great experience with the customer service. Other then that though it has been a burden on our family. the guy that sold us our 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee seemed like a genuine nice guy... Now I dont find that to be the case but I cant bring up my concerns of his trust worthy appearance to them because he is no longer employed there.. But anyways back to the Jeep... I am ending up paying $15,000.00 for a Jeep that is only Blue booked at $2500... :( if it wasnt for my wife being pregnant at the time we wouldnt have been so desperate at the time. and of course there is nothing they can do to help us. we cant trade in our jeep and put even SOME of the money towards a different vehicle. we cant give the vehicle back without it wrecking my credit. we are just so tired of paying $330 a month for a vehicle that is literally FALLING APART! I dont even understand why, knowing that we were expecting, they would do this to ANYBODY!. just awful in my opinion. we could be paying that much money for a much newer vehicle. we have paid right about half on it so far.. half still to go but I just dont see it making it until its paid off. so were going to end up with a paid off vehicle that sits......

We bought our suburban there. We had no choice. We knew we were buying an older vehicle so we knew there would be repairs. We were in a tight spot and they helped. Only draw back was trying to come up with $90 every week. We dont have great credit so thankfully we were able to get a car that day. Everyone knows it is not a Chevy or ford dealer. If you have the credit, you wouldnt need to go here. It is a buy here pay here for folks with bad credit in a jam. You just deal.

These people sell cars with multiple problems to people with bad or no credit who have no other option. They have sold me 2 cars (I had to have a vehicle and had no other place to go thanks to my ex husband) and both vehicles had issues. My current car has a problem with the gear shifter and they told me that the car was in perfect condition. Now they are refusing to fix it. Even if you have to sell your soul to the devil, do not go here. Save yourself a lot of money and a lot of headaches. I would give them 0 stars if that was an option.

Horrible customer service! Had to put a star but they deserve a negative star! I purchased my car from them in March, I have never missed a payment, I called to explain to them that my card was stolen and I could not make the complete payment until I received a new card in the mail. I told them that I would make a partial payment. Tina yelled at me multiple times and told me there was nothing I could do, and if I dont pay by Wednesday(today is Monday) they would repo my car! I called back to speak with Donna(manager) she was very rude and arrogant. She told me Ive only been with the company for a couple months so I am not considered a loyal customer, and there is nothing she could do, when I know personally multiple people who have had an opportunity to make up a payment. she continued to try and back track her statements. DO NOT GO THROUGH THESE PEOPLE!!! It might seem like the best option at the moment but it will be a huge regret in the end. I really hope enough people get tired of their money hungry ways and they get shut down!!

I recommended this to a family member because others in the family successfully purchased a car here. What a mistake. Their experience was horrible. The car was in the shop numerous times with in the first month. After arguing and being told they couldnt get out of the contract they tried to offer a different car which they took to 2 certified garages and paid out of their own pockets to be inspected. It to was a lemon with multiple problems. So back to dealer to be given a third car. It too is in the shop....it seems that they do not inspect their cars and prey on the poor.. they have contacted a lawyer and along with several others who have the same experience maybe they can expose these problems to the public.

I find a lot of the staff to be rude and extremely hateful, I reported my car stolen almost 5 months ago, it was found 600 miles away from where I live, and even with a police report and them having the case number from the report they have constantly harassed me.and have not returned the car to me nor has attempted in anyway to help retrieve the car. Then they want to call EVERY DAY and ask me for more and not money after they have already started taking 20% of my checks every payday even though its stated in the paperwork its not suppose to exited 10% of your pay. They not only do they do that the staff that calls refuses to transfer you to their supervisors as requested. They have no only called me like this but also my family as well even after speaking with me they continue to harass my family as well. I wouldnt have anyone go to this place their vehicles are trash the car I did have with in a matter of a month was having transmission issues as well as a numerous amount of other issues, I dont care how hard up you are for a vehical DONT GO TO AUTO CREDIT. MY cousin used them too and a few weeks after she got a car from them the bumper fell off on the highway and was having trans troubles too!

I have not even had my van three months and i already regret it. They wouldnt give me the extended warranty because my husband was a second driver and he deliverers pizza for a living EVEN tho he NEVER drives it! They wont let me trade it in, i already have to put a brand new starter in it, and the window motor went out. ALREADY!!!! SO disappointed and will NEVER ever go back. The service was good but I dont like that my head light driver side keeps going in and out I looked at it and the head light pug wires are burnt and to top it off I just got it today.

Ive had to purchase a couple vehicles from them now. ..... I recently went in to purchase another one for daughter that she would be making payments for. My daughter was not able to get a loan due to her age. ..... but I could get anothet loan, the problem is that this would not help build my daughters credit and would virtually waste my money. They could have sold me a vehicle that day ..... but the manager sat and talked with me and my daughter about how this purchase would do nothing to help her and explained how waiting another 6 months would help her make her money work for her. My point is that they could have made money off me that day, but cared enough to talk my daughter into waiting and for this reason I will be back to buy from them again. I know the buy here pay here places get a lot of criticism because of high interest rates on higher mileage cars, but for those of us who have poor credit they can be a real life saver. .... and I really appreciated their honesty with me the last time Id stopped in to make a purchase. KUDOS to that service manager there.

Terrible place to get a car. Our cars transmission broke down before a year of driving it. They replaced it but that one only took a few months before it broke down,too. And when we tried to get it replaced a second time, they told us our warranty was expired. The only option they gave us, was to replace it and add 600 bucks to our payments. So it was either that or come out over 1000 for a new transmission, and also pay for labor. This company preys on low income families buy selling faulty, unreliable vehicles. A payment is all the matters to them.

Worst experience of my life. Car had problems from the get go! And I had opted for the extended warranty which every time I called I was denied using said warranty. Only time they helped was when it finally was so bad oil sending unit went out and needed a new head gasket. Then the closer I got to paying it off the worse certain women I spoke to were! I had an emergency and I went to my car to take someone to the ER because they was running an 105.00 degree temperature, and my car was shut down by Auto Credit/ Mid American Lending. I have contacted The Better Business Bureau and Land of Lincoln. May justice prevail! I have paid my bills. I have not NOT given them cash for payments. Nothing but selfish greedy mofia wannabes. Worthless. The cars are overpriced for what theyre worth. They demand a week to week pay, or however you get paid, meaning as soon as you get paid from your job they want a payment. I bought my first car from them because they were the only place that would allow someone with no credit at the time to get a car. If youre in the same position or you have no credit at all you are better off finding a car on Craigslist, and dealing with any problems it might have than the bills and harrassment techniques they use.

This is a predatory loan company, that preys on people with no credit. They dont report to credit agencies until they miss payments. They refuse to make it right when they sell a faulty car. They also overprice the cars by 50 to 150 percent.

They exploit the poor and misdirect the customer from the true cost.

We have good trip with the trail blazer.

One week after getting the car I found out it had a busted radiator on it, then a few months later the motor went out, after having that fixed the alternator went bad. Ive had the car less than a year
