I ordered my glasses from here 2 years ago (which were insanely overpriced), and my last pair has broken. Ive moved since then so I called the walmart in my new location, and they arent doing eye exams because of covid. They told me to call the walmart in marquette to get my script so I can order a new pair, but the marquette walmart wont extend my script because its (barely) expired, even though other walmarts are doing this since they arent doing eye exams. So I cant order glasses because I dont have my script, but I cant get my script because its expired, but I cant get a new prescription because no one is doing eye exams. So basically, this walmart screwed me into being blind until whenever the local places start doing eye exams again. They dont care about their customers at all, just go somewhere else. Or if you decide to go here, just get the exam then ask for your script and get your glasses elsewhere since they charge several times more than you can get online. Plus who know? If you dont get your script right away, you might never get it and end up in my situation where I will spend the next weeks/months unable to drive or do anything on my own because I cant see
They found and replaced my broken frames. Service was cheerful and friendly. Price was fair. Lee Tannehill
Once you pay your money they don’t care about you.I went to Walmart Vision Center for an eye exam. Exam was fine but when I left with a trial pair of contact lens and came back for my check about a week later there was a tear in my left contact (which wasn’t the correct prescription in the first place). I was apprehensive about believing him but he said I would be fine with a tear in the lens. Well, a few days later the tear got bigger. I asked and they WOULD NOT give me a replacement while I waited for my order of contacts (not ordered through them) to be shipped. I wasn’t trying to rip them off, I literally just needed the left contact to function. Their reasoning was that it was no longer the trail period (even though the tear occurred during the trail period and the Dr. said “you’ll be fine” at the contact check appointment ). On top of this, some of the workers were rude and condescending when faced with my questions and concerns. Needless to say I won’t be working with them again.
Thanks for your help saving our vacation when my husband broke his glasses! Your quick repair had us on our way in just a few minutes.
On Saturday, April 25, 2015 at 3:20pm, I stopped in to this vision center to get a scratched lens ordered. (Walmart glasses with scratch protection) The only employee there was a young female with long blonde hair. She tells me its normal wear and not covered but, I WILL REPLACE IT THIS TIME AND THIS TIME ONLY. She then says I have to leave the one lens there to order a replacement. Having damaged a lens several months ago and the Escanaba vision center replaced it without all this rudeness and ridiculous demand to leave the lens, I took my glasses NEVER to return to this place.Follow UP: I returned to the Escanaba Walmart Vision Center reference the above damaged lens. They ordered me a replacement and installed it without any trouble. I cant say enough about the quality exam, glasses & customer service at the Escanaba Walmart Vision Center. If the Marquette Walmart was the only place in the Upper Peninsula for me to get glasses, Id drive south of the bridge or to Wisconsin!!!
I have severe cataracts in each eye due to medication that I had been on for many years. I needed a referral from an Optometrist to see the Ophthalmologist in order for them to be removed. Walmart does not handle medical claims for my insurance (Medicare & Aetna), yet the Doctor told me that my vision was not bad enough for Medicare to pay for my cataract removal. He said that I would have to loose my drivers license in order for them to pay for the surgery. I asked for the referral anyway. I found out later that they did not do a field of vision test, which is crucial for anyone with cataracts. I also found out that he had no idea what he was talking about. The nurse at the Ophthalmologist office said that she was glad that I knew that what he told me did not sound correct. BE WARNED THAT YOU CANNOT TRUST WHAT THIS OPTOMETRIST SAYS!
The nurse was not helpfull and rude... FYI they will not give you your full PX so your only option is to purchase glasses from them.
