Our car broke down on a road trip over the summer and we were fortunate enough to be just across the street from Shapen Toyota when it happened. The staff were so kind, letting our family take over their waiting room for 7 hours while they drove to another town to get a new radiator and staying late on a Friday night so that we could continue our road trip!

I previously had a bad experience with a local Toyota dealership, but we purchased a pickup for my husband at Shapen almost two years ago and are still happy.In a position of needing a car in a hurry, I worked with Tyler Best to purchase a Camry. I was able to get the car I wanted for a great price and Ryan, the finance magician, was able to get the note where I wanted.No pressure from anyone and they cared about what I wanted. I will ALWAYS recommend Shapen Toyota.
My experience while purchasing my vehicle was great. However, I have repeatedly called and or spoken to employees at Shapen Toyota requesting service about issues with the vehicle I purchased. I have been told on 3 occasions that someone will call me back to no avail. They can not be bothered to call and respond to my questions. I suppose my next step will be to call Toyota to file a complaint. What ever happened to good ole customer service. This has been my worst experience with a car dealership.
I have never had great service at a car dealership. I never like going to dealerships. Salesmen are generally very annoying. This dealership was great!! Tyler was our salesman and he couldn’t have been nicer. He never bugged us when we left and I left three times. I bought a car and I love it. Everyone there was very helpful. I will go back and I will tell everyone I know looking for a vehicle to go to Shapen Toyota.

A friend of mine referred me to Shapen as a result of 2 bad experiences I had with other dealers. As a single female I was not taken seriously at some dealerships and others just treated me as if I had never purchased a vehicle before. From my very first encounter with the staff of Shapen (April) I knew this would be the place to help me trade in 2 vehicles to get one I specifically wanted. April did a FANTASTIC job of making this process as convenient as possible for me and also referred me to Bo, my salesman. Bought 2 cars from Billy Flowers. No haggle what so ever. They stayed late to accommodate our schedule and seriously they had the best/lowest retail price posted to their cars compared to Houston and Dallas and other surrounding cities. We had a very poor experience with Shapen. Started off yesterday, 3/9/20. I saw a vehicle listed on their website that I was interested in trading in my current vehicle to purchase, so I contacted Shapen to confirm the vehicle was still available. The sales person I spoke with confirmed availability and set up an appointment for today, 3/10/20, for me to come look at the vehicle, and I gave the sales person my contact info so he could contact me if needed. I explained to him that we live over 2 hours away from the dealership so we would need the appointment to be later in the day due to our work schedules. Everything seems good so far, but... Later yesterday afternoon, I had a question about the vehicle and called Shapen to speak with the sales person I had spoken with before, but hes not available, no big deal, I leave a message. No response from him yesterday. I call back again this morning. Again, hes not available, so I leave another message. Wait a few hours, no response. We are starting to get in a bit of a time crunch, so I call again and ask to speak with someone who could answer this question for me, but that person is not available, so I leave another message... that makes 3 voicemails left... Still no response, but we have to get on the road or we wont be able to make it to our appointment. We drive all the way there, only to find out that they sold the vehicle we were interested in about an hour or so before we got there. I explain the situation to the sales person, at which point he asks if I had been offered to put a deposit down on the vehicle... No, the sales person I spoke with over the phone never mentioned that option. I explain that that vehicle was literally the only vehicle we came to look at, at which point he tries to offer me a much more expensive vehicle than the one I was interested in. I declined this offer and went home. Im not mad that I wasnt able to get the vehicle I had wanted... this issue is about customer service. Im livid about the fact that they didnt bother to return my calls, didnt bother to notify me that they had sold the car I had an appointment to see, and then tried to upsell me to a much more expensive vehicle... Downright lousy customer service!
The entire staff at Shapen Toyota went out of there way to find us our new 4 Runner. The owner Ken, assigned Bo our salesman to us, and he was in constant contact while looking for what we wanted. Ken checked in to ensure we were satisfied at every step of the process. Once the deal was finalized, Wendy took all our information by phone, and the day of the final transaction was the smoothest ever. It took longer to drive from Shreveport to Marshall, than it took to finalize the deal. This is the way car buying should be. Great job by all at Shapen Toyota,,thanks guys.

Always friendly and fast service. A local mechanic suggested some repairs to my 2014 Tundra but I wanted a second opinion. I told the service manager at Toyota of Marshall what I was told by the mechanic. He could have easily taken advantage of that but he didnt. Not only was my local mechanic wrong, but the repair was much less expensive. Toyota of Marshall has gained a customer for life. Honesty and Integrity are two things I value above price, but its nice that the price was lower as well. Thanks Toyota of Marshall and Service Manager Bill Knight. Ill definitely be back.
While my initial experience with Shapen Toyota was distressing, I do applaud the efforts of my salesman, Wade, to rectify several grievances with the Toyota Dealership. I would not have originally recommended this dealership to anyone. However based upon their efforts to correct an unpleasant experience, I would purchase from Shapen again in the future.

This was my second purchase from Marshall Toyota. The sale, service and support were so good with my first purchase that I had to return for my next car. Their web site is user friendly and very easy to navigate. You can see/know virtually everything about the car or truck youre interested in before come by for a test drive.The sales and accounting staff are very knowledgeable about the cars, warranties, financing, etc. Everyone was friendly and helpful. The best part of the process is their low pressure approach! They explain your options and graciously accept your response. When I need another car - I will be back!

UPDATE: THEY CALLED MY PLACE OF WORK TO TALK TO A MANAGER TO TELL ME TO REMOVE MY ONE STAR REVIEW. YOU GUYS ARE INCREDIBLY UNETHICAL. IF I OWNED THIS DEALER I WOULD BE EMBARRASSED!!!!Bo knew we were coming from Dallas to purchase a vehicle. We arrived to the Dealer and find out the fender flares are off the truck not a big deal if you tell me ahead of time that you hand to paint them I would have been fine with that. Do paperwork and pay for the truck then we wait for an hour to find the truck was dirty and my sales guy Bo scratched my window on the new vehicle with a razor blade taking off the as is sticker. Completely disappointed. Not to mention we were leaving and my wife following me in our car you have no tag! Just care about your customer a little bit Bo.

Salesman was very rude .. We asked is it was going to be a hard credit hit and he told us they w ouldnt do a hard credit hit til they were sure they could work with us and we were looking at banks ..i asked him again to make sure they werent going to do a whole hard hit and he assured me he wasnt.. two minutes later I get an email to my phone that says there was a hard hit to my credit so he flat out lied .. stay away from this place. I dont mind a salesmen but cant stand a liar.

The folks there have always been very fair with me. They are always very professional and friendly. They never fail to answer any questions I may have, and they keep the explanation in human - speakso I can understand.
These scammers got me in with winning ticket, but it was all a fine print lie. I will never do business with them now. Waist of gas. Small selection with high prices anyways.

Apparently they dont know what detail means here and while Im waiting on my car to get back a lady comes in to complain about how they just washed it not detail it so when mine came out I checked and it was not touched on inside and I been here over an hour !! I only give 2 stars because the sales guys I dealt with where alright !
Lost my keys and delivered my truck unwashed. Will never use them again.One momth later, I noticed that they removed my licence plates and installed their license plate frames. HOW DARE THEM. They didnt have time to wash my vehicle, but somehow found time to deface it without my permission or knowledge.Lets sum it up...They lost my keys so they are unreliable and incompetent.They listed a carwash on the invoice that they didnt do...so they are dishonest.They defaced my vehicle by sneaking their licence plate frames on my car without my knowledge or permission...so thet are disresectful and unscrupulous.Just a great place to take your car...right?

I recently purchased a 2013 Dodge Ram from Patterson Dodge in Marshall. The radio which controls the heat/cool vents and all bluetooth was slow and went out completely after a few weeks. While they were selling it to me they said it would still be covered under manufacturers warranty but when I signed I was informed that I could not get that but had to go with an all-inclusive extented warranty, which would cover everything! I SHOULD HAVE WALKED! When I took my truck back they told me it was not covered in their premium all-inclusive warranty and that it was $1800 to fix the problem or $650 for a refurbished. I blame myself for dealing with such a deceptive company. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM!

We started looking for a 2014 Camry Hybrid and went the internet route. We ended up shopping with Marshall Toyotas internet manager Greg Johnston. Greg was a pleasuring dealing with and once we struck a deal on the options and the pricing on the car we wanted, he handed us over to Jim Sievers. Jim was easy to work with and kept us informed throughout the process of finding and getting the car delivered to the dealership. I have purchased several new Toyotas and would have to say that the process at Marshall Toyota was the most pain-free of them all.

Danny Coles Marshall Toyota was one of the quickest most helpful experiences Ive ever had in buying a toyota. We drove from Louisiana over to get a particular model and not only did they have it brought up to us from another city but they filed the title and license directly for LA on the spot. The entire dealership made sure that we were set up and ready to go. Right down to setting up my daughters iPhone with the car computer and even answering questions about her warrenty driving between states for college.I will definitely be back for our familys next vehicle, because of course, we will always need a toyota.
Untrustworthy and felt ripped off afterwards. Brought a new suv from them. They said they will mail me my title. After a week, they tell me I owe them an additional 1.5k. If I didnt pay, no title. Crooks. Leave with the title or dont pay.

After purchasing my Rav 4 from Danny Coles Marshall Toyota, I feel compelled to share my wonderful experience with this dealership. This is the third vehicle that we have purchased from this dealership and will NEVER deal with anyone else. Not only does EVERY one of the staff there treat you friendly, they go out of their way to make you feel important. One Saturday, I had a low tire indicator come on so I drove out to the dealership only to find the service department closed. The owner, Danny Cole, not only opened up the bay doors, but he personally checked my tire and filled it and regrettably told me that I needed to take it to see if I had picked up a nail or something. He was so apologetic about not being able to break the tire down himself, that I actually felt bad for him! On my second, free maintenance checkup, (oil change and tire rotation) they not only had me out of there in 30 minutes, but had also washed and vacuumed out my car. I LOVE the service that I get here and will NEVER deal with another dealership again.I am a VERY SATISFIED CUSTOMER!
