These guys are awesome, I was traveling thru town and had a tire going flat. I showed up at 5pm they closed at 6pm. The tech tried to patch my tire but it would not hold. He put the spare on an I went on my way. They charged me nothing!! You just find service like that hardly anymore. Even though I live in Alabama I would highly recommend them. Thank you so much.

That tries to take advantage of people who don’t know any better, they will tell you one thing then say “something else is wrong” then will tell you something is wrong with your car that you know for a fact is not the problem… They take advantage of women and the elderly!!!

Dobb’s on Dorset did oil changes on both our vehicles this week. Counter associates were pleasant and helpful. The cars were done when we expected. Dobb’s does all our vehicle repair and maintenance. I’m a happy, long term customer.

After going to 3 separate gas stations for air I got into Dobbs. They were able to give me the air for my tire. The mechanic who helped with air found a screw in my tire that I missed. Because it was on the shoulder of the tire, I needed a new one. They were able to get it replaced and get me back on the road quickly.

Been going to the Dobbs off of Dorsett and McKelvey for a few years now and have always had quality service. Just recently, I did an overnight drop off for an oil change and it was done the very next morning at 8:30am. Very happy with the turn around time and the people working have always been professional.

The staff is quick and responsive whenever I take my car in for service. If I have an issue they move to resolve it as fast as possible.

I hit a pothole in St. Louis, headed back to KC the next day. Dobbs got me in and out very quickly. I would highly recommend that are honest and fair.

When I first was there they never went over there pricing with me or gave me a quote before I left. All I was told is that they would call me since I wanted them to check out my breaks. When they called me they went over other prices with breaks and not the oil change. I asked how much was the oil change and they told me and I said to pass. When I got to the Dobbs to get my car they said you had an oil change. I told them no I passed on it. They said they did it anyway. I will never go back. Of course I was given the most expensive oil change out of the three options. My car does not have high mileage so it was unnecessary to have the most expensive oil change. I will never step into a Dobbs ever again after this experience.

My business partner and his 3 kids were almost KILLED because of this location and their inability to fix our truck. @Dobbs Parts can be replaced, But people CAN NOT BE.

I wish I could give this place 0 stars. The employees here are rude! The customer service is terrible! This is the absolute worst Dobbs you can ever go to. I actually like Dobbs the company, however, the location closest to my house has the worst customer service, which makes life very inconvenient for me. I’ve been here maybe 7 or 8 times in the past few years and every time I am talked down to and they are so incredibly rude. The employees won’t even hide their rudeness. Also, their website, yelp page, and google listing did not mention that their hours have changed due to COVID-19, so I am currently outside in the parking lot, unable to get my car until MONDAY. It is Saturday. Nobody called me to inform me that my vehicle was ready and nobody told me their hours were updated (granted there is a small sign in front of the store that apparently is your only source of information). I am absolutely sick of this location, do yourself a favor and take your car to a DIFFERENT Dobbs!

Amazing! Was in the area from out of town, hit sharp pothole Late Friday night & blew the tire. Got ahold of Dobbs when they opened on Saturday morning. Brought in the rim & they had me back out the door in 35mins... on a busy Saturday! Easy to work with & super nice service team. Thank you much to these guys.

My wife and I were visiting family in Maryland Heights and when we arrived I noticed the tire pressure was low. When I used the pressure gauge to check it the stem bent and the air came rushing out. We went to Dobbs because it was close. The manager told us that the TPMS would cost 79.95 and we would have to leave the car for a few hours. We had plans to meet people for lunch so he said he would look at it it. He looked at it and right away saw he could fix it. It was done in just a few minutes. I know where Im buying tires from now on and I would recommend this place to anyone.

I walked in this morning to drop off my vehicle to have an oil change, they told me no problem that they would call me when its done. I was thinking it would be the end of the day since they had lots of cars ahead of me. But turns out it was done even before my lunch break, way sooner than I thought. These guys are great, super nice, and fast. I love Dobbs!

We just walked in for tire alignment and was attended to within 15 minutes. Service was reasonably fast. However, waiting lounge does not have snackies, coffee or even water.

A month after my visit to this location and my gas mileage is worse than its ever been, there was a piece of undercarriage that was loose I never got around to fixing and I just learned its still hanging down.

Ken and his staff at the Dobbs Dorsett are first class professionals. I had an issue from another store and with out skipping a beat Ken said I will take care of it. I have used this dobbs for a long time for many purposes.I purchased a tire from tirerack.com and brought it here.I was told that dobbs will no longer install tires that were not purchased from them. When asked why, I was told because it doesnt support local businesses. Whish make no sense because dobbs doesnt buy their tires locally, and they dont offer the specific tire I wanted. Dobbs is also not a local business. Theyre the McDonalds of automotive shops.So, Im going to take their advice and support a real local business from now on and only use Car-Doc Automotive down the street.

We needed expeditious service after learning that my mother-in-law had allowed her motor vehicle tags to expire. The friendly staff at Dobbs we’re nice to work us in and perform the necessary inspections, servicing and some minor repairs. The car was ready when they promised.

I scheduled an appointment only for a state inspection. After arriving a couple of minutes early they got my truck right in and right back out. Only took about 30 minutes. Even had time to talk some baseball with the guys at the counter. Well done Dobbs!

Quick and efficient.

One of my worst decision to pick Dobbs for my car engine oil leak check. They will lure you and rob you. First they said we will charge $30 for putting a die in your engine to perform a leak check, but once you drop the car they changed their words and said $30 is for visual check and for complete check we charge $100. Even after we paid the high price they did not perform the work due diligently. They did not cleaned the engine as they promised with steam water. I doubt they did not even checked the car properly and gave me a random deal stating that I need to spend $1300 to fix. I highly recommend avoid this place at any cost.

Service was simply outstanding. Had tires replaced 4 months ago and found a nail in one them today. Dobbs fixed completely free of charge, covered under their warranty and I was in and out in an hour. Definitely enjoy this location and will be coming back!

I really wanted to like them, I really did. It’s a very convenient location and right next to my gym. But it seems like they can never get it done right even as simple as an oil change. Make sure to double check their work before you drive off because most of the time there’s something they either forgot to do or didn’t do properly. Oh and don’t bother coming here if you have a European vehicle, they have no clue what to do with it.

I brought my car in for a tire rotation plus two of my tires had slow leaks in them that I wanted the mechanic to check as he did the rotation. I made an appointment for a Saturday morning and told them I would wait. An hour later they said they were done but found no nails/screws in the tires. I asked them to check again because the one tire was losing 3-4 pounds of pressure every 24 hours. They put it back on the rack and told me they did find a small nail upon reinspection. The service guy stated that my leaks were coming from around the wheels themselves but they had fixed that too. A week later, my two tires were still leaking and one now had to be filled every day. Frustrated, I made an appointment with my dealer to have them check it. I explained to the dealer everything Dobbs had done. Twenty minutes later, the dealer mechanic asked me to come with him to the bay where he was working on my car. With the car up on the lift, he showed me a large roofing nail in the slow leaking tire and a nail and some other piece of metal in the fast leaking tire. He and I could not understand how the Dobbs guy could have missed them. The dealer made the repairs and I have had no more leaks since then. I stopped by Dobbs this morning and spoke with the manager, A.J. I told him the whole story. Not once did he apologize. He simply said he would tell his guys to try and do better. I have bought several sets of tires over the years from this Dobbs. But I will not do business again with them.

If I could give less Stars I would, Ive taken cars to them multiple inspections. First time they crashed my car into their lift causing $5,000 damage. Their insurance paid for it but it was still a big hassle. The second time I took a car in for an inspection they tell me that the rear brakes are bad and its going to be$800. I put new pads in for $23.99 and it was fine. so if theyre not damaging your car theyre flat-out lying about what it needs. do not trust them, do not take your car here.

I do my oil change here and it is not the best place to get oil change. They dont check tire air or any other items that we expect mechanics check by default. The customer service is next to none existence. Definitely I had my last visit.

Called an hour before I came in asking if they could look at a slow leak in one of my tires. They got to it very quickly for a walk-in. I was out in under an hour.

I was assisted by AJ Flower at the Dorsett location in Maryland Heights. He was very knowledgeable and was very helpful to me in choosing the best tire within my budget. They had me in, up, and out within an hour. As painful as it is buying new tires, AJ and the rest of the staff made it a piece of cake. Dobbs is my choice for tires!

One of the better auto shops that I have been too. They were also willing to explain anything that I had questions on. Its best to drop the car off and come back for it later.

I took my car their once and never again, $150 to check the car, they fixed coils and total price was $600 with tax for 4 coils and check with “special mechanic” maybe he was Phd. Special engineer for cars from Dobbs institute or something, that said you start with coils, and not coils are problem. Very expensive not recommending. Keept my car there just because I had exam and trip out of town otherwise I would never fix here.

I went there for a flat tire. They weren’t able to patch it and put on a new tire but charged me for both a patch and a new tire. Told me it would be a couple hours and ended up being 5 hours instead, which was frustrating since I had plans and wouldn’t have left it there if I knew it would take that long.A month later they had a special on the brand of tire I purchased and I asked them if they will honor the special sale price for 4 tires if I purchase 3 more tires. AJ said he needs to check but the next day Pat called me telling me that they would, which was great. On the next day after they put on the 3 new tires I noticed my hood wasn’t closed all the way and it was flapping as I was driving down the highway. I also noticed that my steering wheel wasn’t straight when I was driving and if I held it straight my car would go to the left. I took my car back and they said it needs to be aligned and charged me for alignment. The alignment on my car was just fine prior to taking it in for new tires and just putting new tires doesn’t impact alignment. Overall not happy with their service and will likely not go back there.

Ive been very happy with the service I receive from this Dobbs store. The staff is very professional, they are very clear in their explanations, and Ive always left feeling quite good about my car and its performance.I have a 96 Toyota Camry, I know they are excellent vehicles, but it has nearly 200,000 on it and it runs like a champ, I do thank Dobbs for helping maintain it for me.I also like that they recycle as much as they can.

Had an oil change cost $80 no problem it’s synthetic.. went too clean my windows only to find out my windshield fluid is a block of ice..I called and was told it happens when temp is cold ....... no you are diluting it with to much water pretty simple 😡

Have been very happy with service at this Dobbs(Dorsett) They are friendly and have been honest with me, today I dropped off my car for an oil change thinking I would have to get it the next day. I walked home and they called within an hour saying it was ready.

I had a excellent experience here the mechanic Don was nice and showed me everything that was wrong and what I needed done. My car had issues and it couldnt pass the safety. I had a $1,000 estimate to fix the issue from Speedy Emissions on Dorestt Rd. And they have a SIGNIFICANTLY lower estimate. I had been waiting 2 hours and a mechanic brought me something to eat. That was extremely kind of him especially since I was stranded their for another few hours.Z

I am used to good service and that is why I go to this location even though Overland is closer.

A year or so ago they forgot to put oil back in my car after an oil change! ! Now a month ago the did my front brakes and didnt bolt my caliper in all the way so it fell out on hwy 70!! Sad lazy shame

I needed a simple oil change, dropped it off at 7am, I called at 1030 and was told it would be an hour. I called at 12 and they still hadnt gotten my car in, so at 1pm I spoke to a manager who argued with me and told me that they assumed they had until 8pm to work on my car. Over 6 hours for a simple oil change??? You need my car for 13 hours?? This is ridiculous, and I will not be returning to them. I have been a loyal customer for years, but after a manager argues with me over their lack of communication is unacceptable. I do not recommend this location.

I went in because something was wrong with my car (obviously). They gave me a ride home so I could work, called me in an hour with what was wrong and how much it will cost. I mentioned it was under warranty and they even called the warranty company and dealt with them, saving me time and over $300! Ive had nothing but great experiences with them prior to this and they definitely have me as a customer! Paul is always upfront, professional and friendly to talk to. Eli is the mechanic I worked I with this time who went above and beyond. They seem like they have a great team here, thank you all!!

Long wait, expensive, and service wasn’t very good at all.

Went in for a simple oil change. Their auto technician failed to re-secure the aluminum skid plate underneath my vehicle which I drug on the interstate and damnaged. They did however do their best to make the situation right.

Called try to make an appointment for emission inspection. But the guy who answered the call was rude and just hang up the phone call suddenly. Rude Rude Rude. Never go there again.

Had my oil changed here. Heard from a friend not to go here because they tell you you need tires when you do not. My old friend is a jackass. I will be the judge of whether i need tires or not! Lol

Fast, neighborly service with an empty coffee pot. They have always done the work I needed, accomodating my schedule the best they can but they never seem to have any coffee in their airpot. Call the day before or early that morning and you should be well taken care of. Come in/out through the dorsett entrance, the McKelvey entrance is a nightmare.
