They were recommended to me by another auto service, and it worked great. Had some issues with the tune up, but it seems they tried to make it right. I will recommend them for any repairs.

We have used quality auto STL in the past and had excellent results. I made the mistake of going to a dealer for a required maintenance item. They were going to charge me over $3000. I immediately called Dave and he took care of it for about 1/3 of the price. It was done in a day. I am a home health worker and have to have a dependable car. He is honest and very reasonable

Horrible! Multiple damage was done to my car, he tried to cover it up by gluing the broken parts of my dashboard and didnt tell me that he broke anything, I had to ask what happened before he even acknowledged and explained that he broke my dashboard in multiple places. My glove compartment is also broken, and a part was left off of my car! And my heat still doesnt work correctly! Yet I paid $466 to get my heat fixed. They overcharge and once youre in the shop he claims other things are wrong and the price continues to rise. If you say no, then he still charges for diagnostics and the original repairs that he started. So you have to pay him and another shop to get your car fixed. Im adding pictures of the damage that he did. He was a person who I thought was a friend until this happened. This shop has no integrity

Let me just say... I drive from South City to his location (which isn’t close) because I trust him. He works with integrity (which is hard to find in a mechanic), he is very professional and his pricing is great.He has done several things for our vehicles. He has gotten us in fast and gotten it done and back on the road in no time. His pricing is always reasonable. I recommend him with the highest regard.

My check engine light came on so I brought my car into David’s shop. He charged me $850 to get the check engine light off and I was fine with that. After I picked up the car the check engine came back on not even 24 hours later. So I called David and he said he would look at it and see why. After he looked at it he called me and told me to get the check engine light off it will be another $800 just for a alternator. I’m upset because I would’ve never paid him the first time. He says trusted services with no surprises but that’s definitely a surprise. The car I was trying to get fixed wasn’t even worth $1600 so why would I of put that into it?

I was referred to David at Quality Auto by a facebook group called IKAGG, where you can refer consumers in the group to local vendors you have used in the past.Several people recommended him, so I brought in my SUV to get it checked out.The issue was my car made a weird noise when going above 15 mph.David told me I needed new shocks, struts, suspension, & a general tune-up. The total cost for all of this would be $2,600.I was hesitant about going forward with it because the price was steep compared to other car shops in the area. Instead of trusting my gut, I went ahead and told him to do it.After I got my car back, still was experiencing the weird noises & now it has only gotten worse! I obviously called David to let him know about this & he told me yeah, bring your car in again so we can go for a test drive. There may be something else wrong with your vehicle.Nobody in their right mind would go back to the same guy who overcharged for something they did not even correctly fix! If there was something else wrong with my vehicle, why was this not determined when I brought it into his shop initially?Now I have to bring my vehicle into a completely different shop & pay even more money to get it fixed the right way...DO NOT go to this place unless you want to pay more than fair price for a service that may or may not even resolve the issue! And then, he will try to upsell you on even more things!

Quality and trustworthy service. I don’t know much about cars and always cringe bringing my car to the shop. David was honest with us that our car was fine and even looked it over for anything else and couldn’t find anything on a 10 year old car. Brought my 2005 Honda pilot to Dave because starter was failing, car had 320k mile at the time. Dave assessed the situation agreed and then went above and beyond and checked the fly wheel too and with his expertise figured out that the fly wheel was fine but did change the starter. Also recommended shocks since the car bounced all the time and never had change the shocks since Ive owned the vehicle. Dave is honest, full of integrity and just a great human being. Took my vehicle to him after a part went out in my used car that I JUST purchased, and he was patient and understanding enough to speak to my warranty company and to my dealership, and when he found out it was covered under warranty, he installed a factory part into the car so theres very little to no chance that the same problem will occur! Ive taken my vehicles to Dave, he is honest in his assemment of what needs to repaired or replaced and does exceptional work. As matter of fact, my 2006 Dodge Grand Caravan with 229,000 plus miles, Dave helped me maintained this vehicle along with my other vehicle

Not a trustworthy mechanic. Thought I could recommend him to my sister and he ripped her off. Her expedition had a check engine light on so he charged her over a $1000 to fix it claiming She needed a new intake. He also said that he only uses motor-craft parts on Fords and come to find out he didnt really use a motor-craft part. She gets the truck back and its now overheating and he claims he fixed it but its doing the same thing still so she took it back to him again and now he says she needs a head gasket and its gonna cost her $2400 more dollars. Now mind you I have the same truck as my sister and he charged me $2500 to fix my intake, gear box and head gasket. I shouldve known not to deal with him because he pulls this same move whenever u bring a vehicle to him to get fixed but I made the mistake of trusting him again. NEVER AGAIN! Dont waste your hard earn money with him because he really doesnt know what hes doing!

He bought a rebuilt cylinder head from us. He installed it and it ran for about 15 minutes and then something happened as the motor stopped running. It wouldnt restart. He said it wouldnt start because we installed bent valves in the head which is ridiculous. The head jumped time while it was running, bent the valves, and then it had no compression and wouldnt restart. Regardless, we sent another head and he decided to check the valves using water. It, not surprisingly, seeped some water past the valves. No rebuilder checks valves this way. We use a vacuum tester which is what rebuilders use. A small amount of valve leakage is permissible since the leakage will disappear once the engine runs for awhile and the valves seat. He made a big deal out of this. Cussed at everybody he talked to. We said to return the heads we sent him and we would just write it off and give him a refund. He returned the first head with the bent valves and his core head. He convinced ebay that he returned both our heads. He did not. We were forced to give him a full refund and he stole one of our heads.I can only imagine what this crook would do to a customer of his who had a complaint about repairs he makes to their vehicle. I notice another reviewer gave him a similar review for not being up front and honest.

I have an older vehicle and so does my girlfriend and hes had our cars multiple times for different issues and has done a great job! Very nice guy and personable!
